Time: Night
Location: Ember Grove Streets to Ember Grove Hand of God Church
Interaction with: Frida

When Frida healed Damien's fingertips, he retracted his hand from her. At the same time, Lucy croaked loudly to alert Damien. He scowled at the woman and her hypocrisy.

"You give me shit for being a werewolf and you're a fucking witch!"

"Mr. Crawford! You will refrain from swearing in the house of the lord! And you make accusations towards a holy woman has given everything to our God?!" Despite raising his voice, Xavier's seemed to remain composed. Damien glared into the woman's eyes who stood firmly, holding her crucifix close to her chest. "This is truly disgusting Mr. Crawford…" Xavier drew a pistol with a silenced tucked and concealed at his breast before shooting Frida in the back of the head.

Damien recoiled backward as the woman fell to the ground with a thud that echoed through the church. Damien looked at Xavier in shock as the man then stepped over the woman's corpse and shot her several times in the torso.

"Truly disgusting. A practicing witch here in my church. In my church. An abomination was sent to my church. A test maybe… Yes, a test. God was testing me, Mr. Crawford. He was seeing if I would buckle when faced with a demon that took the form of a young woman of God… No! Not of god… She was a devil through and through. You and I recognized the snake in our midst. For we hunt them without mercy or hesitation. Only with conviction and faith in God. No place is safe for these abominations, not even in the aisle of these holy grounds. Amen." Xavier's eyes met Damien's as he waited for the young man to reply. Damien gulped.

"Amen… Um… You need help cleaning this up."

"Not at all. You may take your leave, Mr. Crawford. I look forward to working with you in order to purify Ember Grove of all of its wickedness. God bless you this night."

And Damien got the fuck out of there!

“I…”

Rose’s hand reached between them, and she smiled. Cain’s nose twitched, inhaling the delectable fragrance the veins along her arm emanated. It took everything he could do to not to sink his fluctuating incisors into her skin, puncturing her forearm along her inked tattoo.Truthfully, this would’ve been the breaking point. Cain’s transformation would have finished this instant and hunters would’ve quickly been dispatched to deal with him. The world would have turned upside down -- were it not for Rose’s smile. Cain was always a sucker for smiles, and there was someone he could thank for that. Someone… who…

Cain couldn’t leave her behind. If Cain didn’t eat, he would die. If he ate now, he would die. He regarded the girl who extended her hand to him hesitantly, his eyes momentarily betraying sadness.

“...s̡̧h̢̡͢ó̢͘uldn’t have said that. My night has just been difficult.”

He blinked, and those eyes which told so much turned blank. A single cold hand grasped and shook Roses, and Cain flashed a friendly smile. Were it less dark, one may have looked upon Cain and saw how unnaturally sharp and white his canines had become.

”I’m Cain. Cain Fourier. It looks like I owe you an apology now, Rose.”

To no surprise, the older man decided to trust his luck fleeing. Three vs one was never good odds, Angel would know from the previous hour's events. She bolted after him, her speed superior to his. "You're staying right here, grandpa." Angel stood in front of him, forcing him to halt. Her speed caught the old werewolf off guard and he seemed to be hesitating in order to make his next move wisely. It was too public for him to turn into a wolf if he was indeed a werewolf, or attack if he was a witch or even a vampire, but not many people were outside so it was secluded enough for them to quickly capture him.

She nodded to Sean and Niko to sedate him while she kept him from escaping. They were going to have to get in the truck quickly and drive him to the HQ right away before others noticed.

The moment the old man ran for it, Sean reached for one of his concealed holsters. Werewolf. Sean concluded before watching Angel outpace and cut him off from his front. Her speed was something to envy at times, but Sean didn't see experimentation as worth the risk. His potions presented their own danger, but he could stop at any time, or so he thought.

"You made this so much easier…" Sean drew and immediately fired a tranquilizer pistol right into the old man's ass. "Direct hit!" Sean Sean watched as the old man turned to face him after being shot, but the tranquilizer was already setting in. He holstered his weapon as he watched the man's eyes glaze over as he stumbled towards Sean and Niko. "Hey man I think you had a little too much to drink. Let's get you out of here." Sean said before he let Lupin collapse onto the sidewalk.

Sean looked to Niko, clearly the strongest amongst the three of them due to his enhancements and the most obvious candidate for carrying Lupin. But Sean proceeded to grab Lupin off of the ground and lift him with a fireman's carry himself.

"Come on grandpa, we're taking you home." Sean said as he walked across the street with the man on his shoulders and to the truck "Have a good night you two. I'll be roaming around here after I get this guy back home." He opened his backseat door and placed the man inside. Once he seated Lupin inside, Sean placed wrist and ankle cuffs on him just in case the tranquilizer worn off too soon. The does he used could keep a lycan out for about 2 hours, but better safe than dead. Once Sean shut Lupin inside, he turned to his colleagues with a smile. "There's still the other one if you want to wait around for her. Anyway, I'll see you two around… Oh, and Angel, I'd try to put a cold spoon on that hickey you got."

Time: Night
Location: Apartment going to Trance
Interactions:

Monica woke up with a snort. She was thinking so deeply about an idea for her next project that she didn't realize she fell asleep on her desk. It was night time and the outside was filled with yellow and white lights that came from apartment and house windows, as well as the passing cars and the lamp posts on the street. She watched people of all ages walk and go about their lives. Well, majority of them were people. The outside lights helped brighten Monica's darkened room a bit and she rubbed her face before feeling the walls to open her lights.

She sleepily walked towards her bathroom. She looked at her groggy reflection in the mirror before leaning over the sink to wash her face before wiping herself. When she stood up, she saw the reflection of another person behind her. It was a woman with bluish-grey skin and dark brown eyes wearing a long white dress with even longer billowing sleeves. Her long black hair was spread out behind her head as she looked at Monica with wide frightening eyes and an open mouth.

Monica, however, was not impressed. "How predictable, Amanda."

The ghostly woman named Amanda dropped her arms and groaned exasperatedly. "Oh come on! How are ya not afraid? Guys and girls will always scream their butts off whenever I do it!"

"Yeah, you try to scare the girl that could see ghosts." Monica shrugged and gave Amanda a 'Welp' expression as she went on of the bathroom. Amanda pouted but followed her. "That's like so unfair, y'know. I've been trying to scare ya 78 times and I didn't even hear a single scream from ya!"

78 was the number of days that passed since Monica started seeing ghosts again. It's also the number of days that had passed since she last saw her aunt, leaving nothing but a letter in an envelope. The words 'Open only when you're alone' was written on the envelope's back with the word 'alone' underlined. Monica was confused at first because she was the only one living in this apartment until she realized: her aunt knew of the girl's gift. Her aunt also knew Monica will never be alone because of the ghosts randomly roaming about the living world. Monica decided to just keep the letter a secret for now as she knew she would have to read it eventually.

She tied her hair back in a bun before heating up water for her hot chocolate. Well, it's not my fault I don't scare easily. Besides, I watch horror movies all the time. Have you seen my watch history?".

Amanda pouted, crossing her arms and hovering mid-air as she watched Monica prepare her drink. "Hmph! Ghosts from Hollywood are nothin' compared to the real ones! Not all ghosts look demonic and bloody and ugly and...", Amanda rumbled on. Monica listened to the ghost while sipping her hot chocolate and what the ghost said reminded Monica of the first time she saw her.

Ghosts could change their clothes and hairstyles but only if they wore those clothes and had those hairstyles when they were still living. The things they can't change were their sex and skin tone which was always bluish-grey. Other than that, they still retained their mannerisms, accents, and way of thinking even after death.

From Monica's time in spending here and due to Amanda's talkative nature, she knew the ghost was 22 years old when she died but she died so long ago that she lost count of how long she was a ghost. She didn't want to get to the specifics of how she died which Monica respected. Not all ghosts wanted to say how they died, especially if it was in a tragic, untimely, or humiliating way. However, Monica did notice Amanda's particular distaste in the words 'sweetie' and 'honey'.

Monica snapped back to reality when Amanda clapped. "Oh my gosh, I just remembered! I heard from a couple of my ghost friends that there's a party goin' on in Trance. Y'know, the club that's suspiciously close to a grade school? Anyway, I heard there's a lot of handsome men there. I think this is the perfect chance for ya to meet up with people, eh?". Amanda smiled and playfully nudged Monica's arm, which felt like a cool breeze blowing on her skin.

Monica sighed. "Amanda, there's always a party going on there; it's a club. I don't think I'll like it there," she said.

"Oh come on, girl! You've been cooped up in this apartment for days. Ya really need to get out and meet other people or ya might rot here forever! That's not a good way to go, y'know. Just please do it for little ol' me?", Amanda said as she batted her ghostly eyes at Monica.

It was true that she hadn't gotten out of the apartment for so long. The only people she talked to where Amanda and her online clients. She looked at Amanda acting all goofy and she sighed in defeat. "Okay fine, I'll do it. It might be good to meet some potential clients in person too."

Some time later...

Monica was riding a cab on the way to Trance. She was wearing her simple, go-to outfit: a white cardigan over her white tank top, denim jeans, brown sandals, and a faux leather brown bag. Amanda was shocked that Monica was willing to go to a club looking like that but the ghost reluctantly approved of the outfit because Monica was more comfortable wearing that. She left the apartment with the television playing Amanda's favorite telenovela show La Isla Bonita since she couldn't touch the remote.

The woman tried not to look outside of the cab's window but she glanced every once in a while. Ghosts of all ages roamed the streets while the living continued with what they were doing, ignorant of the fact that they weren't the only ones in this world. Perhaps, Monica thought, there was bliss in living ignorantly.

As her cab passed by, she saw an elderly man walking slowly with his cane accompanied by a smiling old woman, probably his wife. She put her hand on his back and looked at her husband fondly as she glowed like the warm sun. While in traffic, she saw a headless man wearing formal attire as he sat across a woman talking to someone on the phone. She broke down in tears and rested her hand on the table for support. The headless man reached out to put his hand over hers, trying to comfort her. In his other hand, he was holding a small box with an engagement ring inside.

As the traffic light turned green, Monica sighed and looked ahead. It sucked being able to see the dead because you'll only feel sadness for them, yearning to feel their loved one's touch and wishing they could be seen by them. Monica could help but she didn't want to meddle in the affairs of the supernatural. Besides, what good would it be to help with someone else's problems if she couldn't even solve her own first?

After a while, the cab stopped at the entrance of Trance and Monica got out. It was just like any other club in Monica's eyes, though there were a bunch of people gawking and watching something happening on the inside. She heard them say a woman was causing a ruckus with the bouncers or something like that. The people and the guards were so distracted by what's happening that Monica took this chance to sneak in so she wouldn't have to fall in line and pay.

She saw the woman being held by the bouncers while she kept screaming she's being raped even though it looked like she weren't. It's Monica's first time out in a long time and she was already met with chaos. Sighing, she pushed through the crowd until she could see a vacant seat. She waved a waiter over and told them to get her any kind of drink. She sat silently with her chin on her hand, her eyes scanning the crowd from time to time.

Time: Night
Location: Trance/ Ember Grove Streets/ The Pit
Interactions: Nobody

Gwendolyn was being held by one of the bouncers, having her legs held by the other bouncer. Starting to be lead out of the club and towards the entrance of the club, kicking and punching trying to escape but all of her efforts were in vain. Being thrown out of the club and onto the street, landing face first onto the street curb with a loud thud. "Fuckin dickhead, it ain't my fault i didn't start that fight with that dick head" She screamed out loud making the other patrons staring at her, huffing and puffing turning away form the club and walking down the street.

She felt her face heating up and steam figuratively coming out of her ears, the rage building as she started to walk down the road and towards The Pit. After a few moments of walking she arrived at The Pit, she was waiting out front as the effects of the cocaine and alcohol was wearing off. Being lead in after waiting for what seemed like forever, Once inside she made her way over towards the bar ordering a beer and a glass of water. Drinking the water first to try and sober her up, sipping the glasses of her beer and trying to clam herself down so she would not have another outburst. Some blood pouring out of her nose and she was in a bit of pain form the beating she had gotten earlier, Looking around speaking friendly with a person who seemed to be scared of her beaten body and face.

“I meet you at the campground.” he said struggling to pronounce the words with his thick Russian accent, insinuating that he rather walk home. Boris backed away from the car and watched as his Alpha and a the other wolves drove away. He wondered if the presence of Liam's pack was intruding on another pack's territory. This town did not have the smell that towns do when they harbor werewolf packs. And that was a smell he knew very well from a darker time in his life when he had been transported from city to city, as his masters sought out other wolves for him to fight.

As he walked on the side of the road, he realized that there was vampire blood on his tank top. He stopped walking and swore in Russian. He already looks crazy enough walking barefoot in the cold of night, and now he has blood on him. This is why he should stay away from fights; That young wolf could've probably done fine without his help. But he couldn't help it - he was wired to spring into action when fighting was involved. He sighed and continued walking when suddenly he caught another scent. Were the werewolves coming back? No... It was another wolf in a different car. His arms tensed from confusion. When it came to the scent of werewolf packs, this town really did not have one that he recognized.

As the light from the headlight got closer, Boris did not try to cover his eyes, letting the reflection shine as he already knew the wolf would shortly be able to smell him anyway.

Time: Night
Location: Lover's Lake
Vibes: "Give me one night to mend the pain..."

Upon exiting the club, Genesis sucked in a small breath, enjoying the cool air on her face. Her cheeks were buzzing, a result of the liquor she had so heavily ingested. A quick look around the parking lot revealed nothing to her, as she hadn’t brought a car and none of the ones there seemed familiar. Not that she was sober enough to drive. Usually, she’d just sit around a vacant spot and cry until her head was clear enough to make the trek home. Now, though, she had an expectant partner.

Turning to face him, she offered him a suggestion. “The campground’s far from here, but would you like to take me home?” They were heading somewhere, after all. Why not home? “Maybe we can stop by the lake, have a bit of privacy.”

“It will be Volfango’s greatest honor.” He replied looking into her eyes, which were even more captivating without the Trance’s artificial light. “You please Voflango’s ears with those words! You shall learn about the magnificent Volfango...and Volfango shall learn about your mystifying self.” The words rolled off his tongue as he walked with her.

It couldn’t happen soon enough. The bestial spirit that now residing within him was once more struggling against its cage. Volfango had barely been a werewolf for over a week, though he had managed to prevent a transformation as of yet by drowning himself in familiar pleasures. He had seen the others of the pack transform and despite seeing it firsthand, it still terrified him what it would do to him. However, there was nothing to worry about tonight. His couldn’t dwell on it too long whenever his eyes caught sight of Genesis. He was eager for that privacy she mentioned.

As they walked, Genesis struggled to think of a proper topic to talk about. She didn’t want to cross any lines, but she didn’t want to stay in the dark, either. “So...” she began, still searching for the right words. “Are you enjoying everything that comes with the change?”

She was all too aware of how loaded that question was. Every new wolf had a different answer. Yes, I love the power. No, I hate lying to my family. Genesis personally couldn’t imagine life without her beast, but she understood to an extent how difficult it could be to change entirely over the span of five days.

“Speaking of...How long has it been since the bite?” She continued, running a manicured nail along the flesh of his forearm. “Everyone’s excited to see how you look…” She smirked playfully, moving to poke him in the side. “But it’s alright if you’re shy.”

The normally vibrant and smiling expression he had been wearing all night faded slightly following her question. He could skirt around the question like he’s done so far, but he never liked hiding the truth. As he weighed his thoughts, she came at him with another question. He chuckled at her last words. “Volfango is far from shy.” With the distance they had left, perhaps it was best to come clean now.

”The bite happened a little over a week ago and even Volfango does not know what form he will take.” Everyday it grew more and more difficult to avoid the change. ”Volfango is stronger and faster than ever before and the world is far more vivid.” That much he enjoyed but his life had taken a sharp turn. “However, it has taken Volfango’s choice from him. His life is now tied to this...change.” His voice was uncharacteristically solemn. It was difficult to not think of this as a curse.

”Do not worry! There is nothing that can stop the exquisite and amazing Volfango!” His voice and demeanor instantly picked back up. This was something he was going to have to live with so he wouldn’t mope about it. It was the van Wolfgang way to tackle problems like this head-on! No matter his fear, he would strive to make this new-life his own!

Genesis stayed silent for some time after this, taking in his words as she stared down at the path below. Maybe now wasn’t the best time to make things all mopey, but she wanted to assure him. “My mother used to tell all the new wolves what they were in for.” A brief pause followed as she encouraged herself to continue talking about her mother. The mere mention of her was enough to pull forth emotions best hidden.

“Excitement, power like nothing they’d experienced before. A new family.” She cleared her throat, glancing up at him to see if he was listening. “A long, eventful life of being hunted by enemies who’d only grow stronger as the years went on. It’s a lot of good, and just as much bad. You’re going to have to learn to defend yourself now, and be wary of people that wouldn’t have spared you a second glance only a week ago.”

“That being said, I’m nothing but confident in your abilities, and if you need someone to show you the ropes I’ll be around.” She shrugged, not sure if that was what he needed or wanted to hear. She felt like it had to be said, though. “I hope you learn to love it.”

Volfango listened attentively as she spoke, deciding to wait until she was completely finished to reply. He could feel great sadness in the way she spoke about her mother, and saw it in her expressions. The kind of sorrow that comes from the loss of someone very dear. He greatly appreciated her honesty in telling him how the situation stood. It was time for him to stop grieving for the life he once had, and make the most of his current situation.

”What kinds of rope will mi dea be showing?” Volfango looked at with a seductive gaze while a large smirk creased his lip, attempting to brighten the conversation back up. ”With nights like this, there is plenty that Voflango can come to love.” Upon saying this, he made sure to look her straight in the eyes. Volfango had been the kind of person to carve his own path so his pride often prevented him from seeking outside help. However, he may make an exception for once...for Genesis. ”Are we close to our destination?” He asked, wondering what she had in mind once they got their privacy.

Genesis' face grew hot as he brought up potential love. For a moment, she stared back into his emerald eyes, so clear and honest. It was terrifying, to the point where she was forced to avert her gaze. Was he trying to make something out of this? It wasn't supposed to go anywhere.

Looking out at the path before them, she ignored his statement and chose to answer his question instead. “It's not too far from here, actually." They had traveled further than she'd expected, the pavement had become dirt some time ago.

For the remainder of the journey, she didn't verbally acknowledge him. She kept close, arm still hooked around his own. By the time they reached the lake, the scents and sounds of the woods had begun to creep into focus. It was calming, but Genesis couldn't relax. She was flip-flopping between expressing her worries and giving in. On the one hand, she was sure Volfango would understand her desire to keep things casual. On the other hand, she could always tell him later and spare herself the embarrassment if she happened to be wrong.

The latter option was probably best.

Halting their progression, she went to stand in front of him, hand moving to cup his cheek. In a moment she prayed she wouldn't regret, her fingers crept back into his hair. Tilting his face down, she planted a heavy kiss on his lips.

Volfango immediately returned the favor as his hands took hold of her hips. He would make sure that she would not regret her choice and give her the experience only one such as Volfango could give. The obligations would go not further than tonight, as was his creed. Moments like this were his addiction, a drug that was impossible for him to kick. His troubles washed away in their heated embrace, if only for tonight.

Luna

Time: After Sunset
Location: Campgrounds
Interaction: @Tae - Sorrel @Alivefalling - Cyrus @helo - Liam

Luna’s eyes began to slowly open. The last thing she remembered was being in the woods, watching as two alphas stood in front of her. She had briefly recalled her name being spoken to her by the other wolves. The bloody scene in front of her by the wolf named Cyrus had not been enough to cause her distress. After living in Viet-Et-Mort’s mansion for years, it had been common. She couldn’t find anything that grossed her out anymore. However, upon opening her eyes, the scene was no longer in the woods. Her eyes widened with horror as she startled and jolted upright, only to gently pushed back down. As Luna turned to face the individual, she let out a hoarse cry of fear.

”Shh, no, you’re okay now, Ms. Luna. It’s okay,” The women’s face peered into her terrified violet eyes with warmth. ”We are giving you fluids to flush the venom out quicker and diphenhydramine to help stop your throat from swelling shut."

Luna stared at her, the fear palpable in her eyes. She tried to speak but all that was emitted by her was faint rasping. ”I would advise you not to speak right now, sweetheart. Your throat is in bad shape.” Luna stared around as she laid down, her mind reeling. This was not the mansion; did this mean she had escaped? She stared around and managed to swallow, albeit it being difficult. She rested her head down and sighed as she stared at the woman in front of her. ”Worried about where you are, huh? You’re in Liam Donovan’s werewolf pack campgrounds. They saved you and brought you back. I’m here to tend to you. My name is Marceline, or Marcy for short. I'm the veterinarian werewolf around here.” Luna stared at the woman's sweet smile and nodded carefully, as not to harm her neck. There was an IV in her hand she began to notice, trying to flush the venom in her system. She stared at the ceiling, unable to help trembling. As she tried to calm her fear and anxiety, she felt her mind beginning to drift off…

What kind of hell was she in now, Luna wondered? Golden lie promises and nothing but kindness had been the start of some of her worst memories. She was still trembling, unable to help herself. What would these werewolves do with her now? She shuddered again and swallowed hard, unable to stop herself from crying silently. How could Desiree have done such a horrendous act? Luna felt sick inside. She had eventually trusted the women against her own instincts. She should have tried running away the first day, but to where? There hadn’t been anywhere to go, and Desiree had been sugary sweet until Luna had opened up. She gritted her teeth and glanced around as she watched werewolves moving in and out of the trailer.

Luna tore her gaze away and wondered if death would be a better suited fate at this point. She didn’t know what to do with herself. How could she trust anyone again? She began to tap her fingers on the bed she laid on, unable to shut her eyes or even her breathing. She was going to go mad if she had to stay here any longer.

Liam continued to talk to with another werewolf, relaying what Luna had mentioned about the vampires they had encountered. He kept an eye on Sorrel as she got of the car with about as much difficulty as could be expected. Another showed up with clothes for him and a grateful Liam quickly dressed himself as Cyrus burst out of the RV looking for Sorrel. He was glad to see at least one of the other wolves was looking better but based on how pale and uncomfortable Sorrel looked she needed her wound tended to rather quickly. He had to admit she hid it well and there was very little he respected more than strength. He sent the werewolf off to grab food and clothes for Luna once she was feeling a bit better and headed over to Sorrel and Cyrus.

”Right let’s get you patched up. Cyrus, glad to see you conscious again.” Liam said as he put an arm around Sorrel to help keep her steady and led her into the RV. While the RV itself was pretty old the interior had been stripped out and replaced. The kitchen and dining area still had an old sink but the rest had been swapped for cabinets on one side and a couple small couches on the other. Inside the cabinets were the basics of first aid supplies along with various medications they could swipe from hospitals. In the back there was a small bed where they had set Luna in, and another wolf Marceline was tending to her. Once he helped Sorrel to one of the couches another wolf entered, Jason a former combat medic and current werewolf.

“Stab wound, significant blood loss.” Liam said, gesturing towards Sorrel. The medic immediately went to work grabbing martials necessary to clean and dress the wound. While Jay was more than competent at treating trauma, his bedside manner was severely lacking, and Liam was pleased to see Marceline, someone with a softer approach, attending to Luna. Luna looked worse off than the rest of them, and on top of that being alone in a strange place after being nearly killed by vampires would leave most feeling uneasy. Marceline had already placed a catheter in her arm with fluids going and was administering the necessary medications.

“Hi there, I’m Liam.” He said softly as he took a knee beside the bed. “I just wanted to let you know that you’re going to be safe here. My pack’s out patrolling the grounds, and they won’t let any vampires get in here. You’re under my protection until your back on your feet. Then we’ll make those vampires pay for what they’ve done to you. You have my word on that.“ Liam spoke with absolute sincerity. His life’s work was taking out any threat to wolves and while he’d faced some nasty threats before it was clear these vampires were worse. They weren’t just killing wolves; judging by the state Luna was in, these vampires were in it to torture. More than anything he’d seen before these Vie et Mort vampires needed dealt with, and he was now itching for the chance.

What only could be described as a complete circus act was occurring in the middle of the club. Violet crossed her legs as she watched a crazed woman initiate a fight with the bouncers, the woman shouting obscenities, claiming that she was being raped as they tried to get control of her. They were absolutely much too violent with her and it was all happening too close to her twin sister for Violet's comfort, otherwise, she would have found entertainment in the chaos and tried to seek out popcorn. Though she loved to watch the chaos unfold, she felt sorrow for the woman and was careful not to laugh. She clearly was dealing with heavy baggage. Violet was going to get involved, but luckily the woman took her to leave, not addressing the bouncers too nicely about it. With their violent nature, she could not blame her.

Violet's gaze traveled to her sister. Rose was talking to a boy, so she decided to allow them to finish talking before approaching her about going somewhere else. This place was a lot less classy than she remembered. Once Felix returned from the bathroom, she told him, "There was just a fight and it's still early in the night. The bouncers are rather aggressive. I think we should go to the Pit instead. I'm going to wait for Rose to finish up her chat with this boy and then I'll approach her about it. If you wanna go ahead if you're bored, I'll understand. We can meet you there."

A girl sat down in the booth at the table next to theirs, placing her chin in her hands. Violet couldn't help but look over at her. Poor thing was alone. It was possible she was meeting someone, but it did not strike Violet that way. She reminded Violet of herself in her teen years in Paris, always isolated. No one deserved to be alone. Violet offered her a smile and waved. "Hello there! I haven't seen you before in town. Are you new?"

Time: Night
Location: Alexei's
Interaction with: Kyran and @Tae Rose

Of all the witch hunters Damien had met, Xavier hands down was the scariest. The man shot the nun dead from just an accusation. Sure, Damien knew the woman was a witch, but Xavier just took his word for it.

Damien shook his head as he walked the streets of Ember Grove once more. This time he was headed for Alexie’s to grab a bite and scope out the place before he actually had to go in with Nathalie the following night. Lucy had informed Damien of her suspicion on the dive bar being a supernatural hub. Every city had something similar, except this one was much more inclusive.

Violet won't let me anywhere near Rose… so a chance meeting at Alexei's will have to do. Damien winced as he picked up the scent of… everything. He stopped in place as he looked around at the parking lot outside of Alexei's. Mutts and bloodsuckers. And you work here, Rose? Damien furrowed his brows, but proceeded towards the bar. Lucy, who had been fluttering from light pole to light pole flew away, going south to scout some more.

Upon entry, Damien was given a hard look by the doorman before he was deliberately given a wristband. He found it to be an odd instance, but shrugged off his suspicions, paid his cover and entered.

"Another new face? Damn we must be popular tonight! Name's Kyran. What can I start you off with?" The young man working the bar greeted with a smile as Damien took a seat. He kept his composure as not to draw too much attention to how odd he found this establishment to be

"A shot of tequila. I love a good punch in the face to start things out. No salt, no lime." Damien joked lightly. Why the fuck are all the scents gone? Well not gone, just so dull… Witchcraft? That or they have the best odor blockers on the market.

"Hey, go big or go home is what I say. You new in town? I've never seen you here before." Kyran said as Damien handed him his credit card.

"Yeah, I'm actually visiting a friend who works here, but I think I got here too late… I told her I'd check it out before she got off. Oh well..." Damien lied.

"Rose?"

"Yeah. Not known by any other name." He joked again before eyeing the shot of tequila he ordered. Damien found it disgusting to have to go back to being candid with people. He quickly downed the shot before letting out a sharp exhale. "Consider me punched in the face."

Kyran couldn't help but chuckle. He loved talking to newcomers. They were like a new mystery to uncover. Damien was no different and his relation to Rose piqued his interest. Rose hadn't mentioned a friend coming from out of town. He figured she'd mention someone like him.

"Next up, Long Island Iced Tea." Damien kept up a charming smile as he spoke to Kyran for the rest of the night. He found out much from the young witch through a bit of elicitation. He and Rose's work schedule, the magic of the wristbands, the history of Alexei's, the current owners, the best thing to order on the menu, and even his solo status as a witch. Damien had to flirt a bit, but the lead on was necessary. They exchanged numbers before Damien left the bar. "Text me!" Damien said with a wave farewell. This place turned out to be more interesting than expected. Thanks for the info Kyran. Too bad I have to murder you.

Once Kyran had a moment to do so, he texted Rose.

Just met Damien!

Out of the corner of her eye, Rose watched the woman who had started the fight finally get dragged out, but that was no longer her attention. She was focused on Cain, watching his movements for any more signs to confirm her suspicions about him. For a moment she laughed at herself internally as she wondered if this was what hunters did when trying to identify a supernatural. She was just using to her advantage what she'd learned from people watching while working at Alexei's.

His hand grasped hers and it was cold, only helping to confirm things more. Though she supposed he could just be really cold. As he smiled she swore she could see fangs, but it was far to dark to really tell and her imagination could just be running wild and seeing things. Still her guy told her this was a vampire, which should have scared her much more than it actually did. She knew there were some very dangerous vampires in this town, but she also knew there were some really cool and friendly ones. She just hoped Cain was the later. "Why would you need to apologise? You truly didn't do anything wrong." She said as she kept the grin in place.

She'd noticed the hint of sadness in his eyes earlier and, despite the fact that they'd gone blank and that should be a warning, she came up with an idea. "Hey wanna see a magic trick? She asked as she pulled her hand away from the handshake and hid it in the darkest spot under the bar. She was taking a MAJOR risk right now and knew that if either Felix or Violet knew what she was about to do they'd be furious, but she enjoyed living dangerously from time to time...well a lot of the time, if she were being honest. Before he could answer she began casting her spell and quietly whispered, "Inde rem hanc adducite." She closed her eyes and envisioned the "Bloody" Mary's they served at Alexei's made with, you guessed it, blood. She felt a glass appear in her hand and couldn't help but smile smugly as she presented it between her and Cain.

"What do you think? Be nice, it's one of my best tricks." Now she just had to hope she wasn't wrong in her assumptions otherwise she was in trouble...

Finn

Location: Road 68
Time: Night
Interacting with: @Kkushmar Boris

Finn stared at the man in the distance, did he just saw a reflection in the man’s eyes? And then it struck the young wolf, how could he have missed it! The scent of a werewolf. Was he the one who howled earlier? Finn drove his car a little bit closer. Now the light of the car’s headlights where casting down upon the man who walked alone at night in the forest. Finn could now see the man clearly. His messy hair, wild beard and lack of shoes suggested that this fellow was some kind of hobo. Judging from his bloodied shirt, he could some murder hobo from the woods. That would make a decent B-grade slasher horror.

Finn got out of his car and could feel the tension in the air. The man in front of him had clearly noticed that he was a werewolf as well. Since the young wolf wasn’t a residence of the area, the wolf in front of him might perceive the young man as a treat to his territory. Not that it mattered to the young wolf, Finn wanted to know what happened in the woods and if his brother might be involved. Bloody shirt man might have some answers to the questions that where raging inside Finn’s head.

“Hey old guy, are you alright?” Said Finn with a friendly smile as he thought that the wolf in front of him was a lot older then Finn was. Lycanthropes had this funny aging thing. Mature ones could be decades older then they looked like. The downside of this was that humans regularly perceived Finn as a couple of years younger. That was one of the bonusses that pure bloods get when they are born.

Finn continued to fire his barrage of questions at the older wolf in front of him. What happened? Where you the one who howled? Where you hunting or in a fight? Are you alone? Where’s your pack? You’re part of a pack, right?” It took the young wolf some time to realize he was blabbering an nearly endless stream of vocal sounds onto what looked like an tired old man. Finn wasn’t sure why he was talking so much but he kind of had a habit of doing so in new situations. He paused his barrage of questions of a second and scratched the back of his head before speaking again I’m talking too much, right? I’ll shut up now…….. wait, I haven’t even introduced myself yet. That’s no proper etiquette. I’m Finn”

Catching the sense that someone was watching him, Cain’s icy eyes darted towards Violet as she looked over Rose. Her gaze served as an indication of involvement with Rose, which Cain duly noted.

Rose once again spoke, and Cain returned her his attention. Chuckling as Rose waved the need for apology, and nodding as she proposed a magic trick, Cain seemed to have made a heel-turn on his dreary manner. The friendly grin from earlier remained on his face, now reduced to a pleasant smile one may have when conversing with a new friend.

Cain found himself concluding that Rose was an interesting character. He could still sense her unease, and almost felt that she was aware of his (and by extension, her) current predicament. Undoubtedly, he could tell that there was a playful drive behind her actions, a motivation akin to a young boy who played with fire.

Her magic trick, of course, only served to further Cain’s perplexion. He once again chuckled as he heard Rose chant an odd whisper, but believed it to be some sort of showmanship put on to spice up the performance. There was something of the words she spoke that rung a bell in Cain’s mind, and Cain racked his mind to remember where he had heard similar words before.

It was only when Cain saw the red concoction that he fell out of pondering the mysterious syllables. The glass, placed between Rose and Cain, seemed no different than any other drink presented here at the bar; but Cain could not help but glance at it again and again as if some part of him knew what it was. It was so distracting, that Cain failed to even applaud Rose for her magic trick. And if some part of Cain suspected what it was when he saw the glass, then every fibre in his body became aware when he smelled the ferrous odour of blood. A glass of human blood, lying right in front of Cain.

What the fuccckkkkkkk… Cain would’ve screamed just a day earlier. But Cain was no longer the only one controlling himself. There was a curse that had been passed to him by the firstborn, one whose presence grew larger and larger in his head. It twisted him, made Cain care naught except for the satiation of his hunger.

Cain stared fearfully at the cup, his lips still pursed in the form of a smirk. His stomach growled, but his humanity prevailed. Even when it was in such a convenient form, even when he could barely hold himself together, Cain couldn’t do it. The blood had once belonged to a human, something which Cain himself was just a day earlier. The thought of drinking something like that… Cain couldn’t do it without losing himself.

...
"͠Th̶at's ͟rįght.̴ ̧L̨e̕t̢'̡s ͘fi͠nd̛ ̸a̶ ͜way͢ ou̸t̸ ̨of̢ ̡th̛is p̴rȩdic̕am҉én͞t, ̢togęther҉.́"

Deadly realization dawned. Realization that could solve all of Cain’s problems.

He blinked, and Cain’s blank eyes flashed from green to red. He blinked again, and they returned. Without acknowledging his change in appearance, he tore away from the glass to resume eye contact with Rose. Though delayed, Cain clapped in applause.

”You’re quite the talented magician. I’m impressed.” Cain stood up, ignoring the glass between them and returning his hands to his sides. His interest in the cup had abruptly terminated, instead he continued to focus on Rose.

”But, I have to wonder…” Cain waltzed confidently as he spoke until he was standing within a foot of Rose, and leaned in towards her till she could have felt his breath on her ear. Though, whether one felt Cain’s breath was irrelevant -- the dead need not breathe after all.

”Who’d you kill to fill that glass, Witch.”

Monica just ignored the girl making a huge ruckus with the bouncers and instead focused because she was bored out of her mind. It only took Monica a few minutes to focus, but she eventually got the hang of it.

It was very hard to see ghosts in places like this mainly because it's darker than normal and it has lots of bright and probing lights which made it difficult for her to see the aura of the dead. Nevertheless, Monica could easily see the others as well once she saw one of them.

She saw a guy wearing a mohawk and raising his closed fist while moving along to the rhythm of the beat, but a broken glass bottle of beer was sticking on his head. She saw a lesbian couple wearing outfits reminiscent of the 1970s. They hugged and danced in each other's arms as their bodies were full of bullet holes. She even saw a middle-aged Kindred man wearing a waiter uniform at the bar. His arms were crossed and he looked proudly at his still-alive, bartender son who was very happy in mixing and giving drinks to the customers.

She even saw a couple more including a Succubus that glowed with pink sexual energy as she floated around to look for passed-out drunk guys. Who knew that such a loud and chaotic environment would attract lots of ghosts? Monica was even surprised Amanda wasn't here. She always figured the ghost as more of a people person than Monica was, but she guessed even ghosts wanted to have their alone time as well.

Suddenly, Monica was surprised when her view was blocked by someone. She looked up and saw a girl with honey brown wavy hair looking curiously at her. Monica suddenly felt conscious; she was nowhere fashionable than this seemingly nice lady.

Monica blinked a bit before answering. "Oh, um... kinda? I mean, I've been living here for the past few months but I rarely go out. The only reason I'm here was that my friend convinced me to go out and make friends but..." Monica shrugged but she remembered to stand up and offer the kind girl her hand.

"Hey there, I'm Monica. You can call me Mo," Monica said with a smile. As Mo talked to the girl, she couldn't help but glance a bit at the ghosts in Trance. She couldn't lie, it did make her look a bit crazy.

Angel waved as Sean left, rolling her eyes at his last comment. She was too hungry to care at the moment, otherwise, she would have tried to come up with something good to say back. She turned to Nikolaus, her stomach growling audibly, "Well. We ambushed an old man. Great success. I actually parked here so I'm gonna go drive and get food. I'm starving and I doubt any vampire in earshot of that fiasco is coming outside right now. But if you want, after I eat I'll go be vampire bait again." She yawned as finished speaking, moving to the car. "Do you need a ride home or are you hungry too?" It was almost ten o clock. That wasn't too late for most, but Angel was no ordinary girl. She needed a lot of sleep to keep up with her experimented body that she pushed to its limits often. She hoped Nikolaus was down for Taco Bell; she could really use a party-pack right now.

Cain

Time: Night
Location: Inside Trance---->Down the street from Trance

To say that Rose was surprised Cain hadn’t gone straight for the drink would be a little bit of an understatement. In fact, a moment of fear overtook her as she wondered if she’d made a terrible mistake and he wasn’t a vampire after all, but something about his gaze at the glass told her that wasn’t the case. He definitely wanted the blood, but something held him back and she wondered what it might be.

The delayed clap put her on edge just a tiny bit, but she didn’t allow it to show. Instead she just mock bowed at his applause, giggling a little. It wasn’t until he began moving towards her, speaking, that she halted her giggle and stilled. He leaned in close to her ear and her heart was pounding hard with alarm. Was he a vampire that preferred blood straight from the source? Had she just made a terrible mistake? She quietly focused on strengthening her ward of protection just in case.

The question Cain asked, however, caught her a bit off guard and for a moment she couldn’t find her voice. Then she laughed at herself, at the fact that she’d thought he’d just start feeding on her right here in the middle of everyone. That would be way more dangerous for him. ”No one.” She told him simply before moving herself a bit to give him a funny look. ”I conjured a drink we serve over at Alexei’s where I work. We get the blood from a woman who pays humans handsomely to donate blood. I’m not a killer, I promise.” She gave him a reassuring grin, wondering if that would be enough to convince him.

”Alexei’s? You mean the boomer bar by the bowling alley?” Cain’s pitch heightened and lowered, as if his vocal cords were lost on which cadence to adopt. He pulled away to stand up straight, and took two paces back till he was comfortably away from Rose. Veins in his neck and forehead seemed to strain momentarily before relaxing, and following this deferment he continued in a much more steady tone.

”You think I was born yesterday, don’t you?” The irony of this statement was lost on Cain. ”I’ve lived here in Ember Grove my whole life. Alexei’s is nothing more than the shoddy bar my grandparents would go to watch the football game after Sunday mass. Nothing more, and nothing less.”

You certainly look like you were. Rose thought to herself at his statement of being born yesterday, but she didn’t dare say that out loud just in case. While yes she made dumb decisions and often didn’t have a filter, sometimes she knew when not to say something. She did, however, roll her eyes at his last statement and sighed a bit. ”Well you obviously haven’t been a vampire for very long.” She mumbled as she decided on what to do. She could just show him she wasn’t lying. She spared a brief glance over to Violet and saw her conversing with another woman. This helped her decide it wouldn’t hurt to walk Cain over to Alexei’s and show him. ”Look, how about I just take you over there and just show you. We can walk over there right now.” She suggested with a shrug. At the same time she used her telepathy to inform Violet where she was going.

Hey I’m going to walk my new friend over to Alexei’s real quick so he can grab an application. Text me and let me know if you guys wanna leave Trance and head to the Pit or something. So she lied a little bit, but she did it because she didn’t want Violet to worry about her. She couldn’t just say she was taking her new vampire friend over to Alexei’s otherwise she’d be suspicious. So she figured a little white lie wouldn’t hurt.

”...Am I a vampire, now?” Cain asked in some part rhetoric, and some part true inquiry. What a repugnant thought. The corners of his lips twitched as Rose offered to bring him to Alexei’s, and promptly he continued. ”I did claim to owe you an apology, so you have the benefit of my doubt. Please, lead the way.”

It was curious to Rose as to why he was inquiring if he was a vampire. Wasn’t he one? She didn’t press the matter for the time being, however, as he agreed to follow her to Alexei’s. ”Alrighty, back to work I go. They’re gonna think I’m crazy.” She joked as she led the way out of Trance and towards Alexei’s. It would take them a hot minute to get there and so she figured she’d use the time to get to know Cain just a little better. Her mind, however, went straight to his statement from earlier. ”So, uh, what did you mean when you asked if you were a vampire now?” She’d waited until they were away from people to ask, hoping the lack of people around would encourage him to talk freely.

Cain sauntered briskly just a step behind Rose, following in her lead. ”Vampires are monsters who prey upon mankind.” As the two of them passed by an alleyway, Cain stopped walking and stood still. His posture had reverted to how it was when he had entered Trance, while his eyes once again hazed with hunger. ”I’m no such thing.”

His head, lowered towards the ground, lifted just high enough for him to look towards Rose. ”You’re a witch, right? I heard you saying some words before you conjured that glass. Is that how your magic works?”

Rose paused her walking as soon as she’d realized he’d stopped, glancing at him and then the alleyway for a short moment before looking back at Cain. ”Not all vampires are monsters.” She stated simply, not sure what else to say on the matter. Besides, who was she to make a case for vampires other than knowing a few friendly ones. Perhaps they’d be at Alexei’s and could show him.

His next words are what caught her attention and her mind now focused on how to respond. She bit her lip, looking at the ground for a moment, knowing she had to say something. Honesty was the best course, she decided. ”Yeah I’m a witch, hope that doesn’t scare you off. As for my magic, yes and no. There are some spells I learned when I was younger that I don’t need to say anything anymore, like this.” She began to explain as she cast a cloaking spell on herself and disappeared from sight. She moved a few feet to the right before dropping the spell and reappearing. ”Then there are spells that are a bit newer to me that I have to use a chant for like what you heard and saw in Trance.” She hoped he wouldn’t be afraid of her knowing that she had the ability to cast spells. While she felt like he definitely had the advantage on her, it was surprising how many people feared witches.

”So you really are one of them. That’s a relief.” These words seemed to be addressed as much to himself as they were to Rose. Cain took a step closer to Rose, bearing down upon her with nearly a foot of surplus height. At this distance, she could see why he had been looking downwards. His eyes were filled with tears. ”You were right in one measure. This change… whatever it is I’m going through, it happened not even a day ago. I’ve struggled and struggled and struggled since then. You have no idea how hard it was. It was like I was locked in a cage, forced to endure the endless agony of starvation while I waited for my final breath with no hope of salvation. I was killed, and my heart ripped from my chest, and the only way to ease the unfathomable agony of its absence was to kill. But I didn’t. W̶͜͡e̸͘ didn’t. Because I wasn’t the monster that had been placed inside me.” Cain took one final step forward.

”I thought I was alone, Rose.”

Rose watched Cain step closer, holding her ground as she noticed that his eyes were filled with tears. She was shocked to find out he’d been changed not even a day ago and it concerned her a bit. She didn’t know much about vampires and their transition, but a part of her worried this may be a trap. She began focusing on her ward of protection once again just in case, but she didn’t move. Her heart broke for him just a little bit and she felt a desire to help or comfort him. ”No one is ever alone.” She said, staring up at him all while watching his every move.

”...I thought I was alone, Rose. So I have to thank you.” Cain turned away, and began walking back towards Trance. ”I was presented with two options. To lose my humanity by eating other humans, or die. But now I know better -- because of you. I don’t have to eat other humans. Why would I? This town is chock full of parasites like you who could serve in their place.

He continued walking till he was at the end of the alleyway, and looked over his shoulder. ”Oh, but you don’t have to worry about me attacking you. I’m an honest man, and you’ve already given me enough today.” As he spoke, his eyes turned fully red. ”I mean, even if I wasn’t, something tells me there’s a little girl with brown hair waiting back at Trance who fits my palate.”

A wave of emotions hit Rose all at once, but there were three prominent ones she felt. First came shock at how Cain had just played her. Then came horror as she realized he spoke of Violet. Last came rage. Not a blinding rage that some often felt, no this was a different, dangerous rage. It was a calm, deadly rage she hadn't felt in a very long time. A giggle escaped her lips, gradually developing into hysterical laughter. As she laughed, she quietly used telekinesis to detach one hair from his head, a small thing that most would hardly even notice. As soon as that single hair was in her hand the laughter subsided and she looked at him with a grin and shake of her head.

"And to think I was over here trying to figure out if there might be a spell to turn you back human as the full transformation to vampire may not have happened yet. I was considering trying to help you back into your normal life, but then you had to go and threaten someone I care about." She said as her face turned to something deadly, yet a terrifying grin remained on her face. The nice and friendly Rose was gone, in her place stood a demon clothed in the skin of a young woman.

"Thank you for this gift, by the way." She said as she held up the hair briefly for him to see before pocketing it. "It'll be quite useful if you harm a single hair on anyone I care about. Help me learn more about you, where you live, who your family is. You said you grew up here so I'm willing to bet you have loved ones here." She gave him a dark smirk before muttering, "Corium." She vanished completely from site and quietly began moving back towards Trance as well, she needed to find her family. "You spoke of monsters earlier. Well congratulations, you've awoken a monster." Still invisible, it was the last words she left him with before taking off in a sprint for Trance.

Waiting a few moments till her last footsteps fell, Cain keeled over and vomited. His fangs sat angrily in his mouth, begging to be sunk into something living. All the while, the pleasant smile never left his face.

After a moment he righted himself, wiping his eyes in the process, and made a heel-turn. With Rose out of the way, he once again began the trek to Alexei’s.

Returning from the bathroom Felix was pleased to notice the loud, drugged up woman absent but was disheartened by his cousin’s comments. He wasn’t as big a fan of The Pit but it was better than the tense atmosphere that now filled the club. He gave her a quizzical ‘are you sure?’ eyebrow, but she had already turned away to speak to the girl now sitting at the neighbouring table. Well, the evening wasn’t to plan at all. He really didn’t want to let up their table in Trance but he knew that when the twins had set their mind on something, there was nothing further to be said about the matter.

He sighed as he got outside. Why couldn’t he have a nice simple night out? He’d nearly been caught up in a fight, his cousins were both chatting to strangers, but at least Rose’s new blonde companion wasn’t this suspicious Damien figure they refused to talk about. The now chilly air was biting through his thin, flowy shirt and so he hurried along the pavement to The Pit. He was not drunk enough yet for that insulating buzz and soon found himself rubbing his arms for frictional warmth. He glanced around and finding no one near he extended his magick slightly all around his body. His personal shield extended a couple of millimetres from his skin and filled with warming air.

Now smugly warm he joined the small queue waiting to get into the club. He had just checked his watch, not even 10! when he noticed the two characters across the road. The tall handsome guy had caught his eye first but there was a flash of recognition at the redhead with him. She wasn’t a friend of the twins. He didn’t think he’d met her before. Then how did he know her? Shit - that was it! Her face had graced a file in a recent coven update sent to their house. And here she was with another militant looking guy, both with smug looks plastered on their face. He had to let his cousins know. Unable to communicate telepathically like them, and not wanting to commit it to technology, he knew he had to return to the way he came. For fucks sake. All he wanted to do was drink and dance.

Grinding his teeth he headed back toward Trance to re-group with his family and suggest they either stay there and get smashed or head home for a party of their own devices. He couldn’t believe that he’d spent his first night out in an age avoiding drunkards and now a murderous cult. Now magically insulted, the walk back was far more pleasant but he was brought slow by a puddle splashing just ahead of him with no visible instigator. His mind jumped to the only reason it had immediately at hand for such a phenomenon...

“Rose?” he ventured tentatively...

Location: Hospital garage to Ember Grove streets

Her car wouldn't start, no matter how many times she turned the ignition. Nathalie groaned, frustrated that despite being allowed to go home, she now had car trouble. Her coworker had returned to work early as apparently his vacation didn't go as planned. She'd offered some consolation words as she was genuinely sorry his trip had ended on a bad note, but on the flip side, she was glad she could go home. Or so she thought. She hadn't even changed out of her scrubs as she wanted to shower as soon as possible after getting home.

"Please tell me this isn't happening..."

Nathalie stepped out of the vehicle, her purse tucked underneath her arm as she headed towards the garage exit. She almost never had any cell phone coverage there, or most of the town for that matter. With her Samsung in hand, Nathalie googled the police department's non-emergency number. Once a preview from the official governmental website appeared, she dialed it and waited for someone to answer. As Nathalie continued to mindlessly walk down the the narrow sidewalk, she accidentally bumped into a young woman.

"Oh! I'm so sorry about that, are you alright?"

Out of habit, she placed her phone against her chest; the same thing she did every time she was on the phone and was also addressing someone in person.
