Thankfully, it didn't take long to find what she was looking for. The Combees seemed quite interested in both her fabulous self, and Ralia. To be expected really - obviously they realized that she was a fabulously strong trainer and they wanted in on some of that, heh. Now she just had to lay on the charm, and this Combee would be hers! She'd also need a name for it, but she'd think about that during either the possible ensuing battle or after it accepted to come along with her. Putting on her best and brightest smile, Claire decided this was the one she wanted.

"Hey there!" Claire cheerfully greeted the bee pokemon.

"Rrral!~" Ralia echoed, waving up at the pokemon hovering not that far above her and giving a small smile of her own.

"Hey hey, quick question you adorable thing," She said to it. "But how's about you'd like to come along with me? It'll be grrreat, promise!" She sounded oddly convincing of that despite the likely sudden request. Claire was hoping she wouldn't have to waste time with a battle here, though she would if she had too.

The Combee stared at Claire for a couple of surprised moments, six little black eyes staring as the wings fluttered, then the three broke into extremely happy smiles.

‘Bee-bee!’ "Nope!"

The Combee then turned around and entirely intended on flying off.

Lucian Vazquez

Houndour jumped out of the way of the venipede's attack and growled at his attacker. Lucian clapped his hands in delight before he addressed the group of bugs "Wonderful! Some pokemon actually worth my time, unlike those miserable little worms in the outer forest!"
Lucian inspected the group of poisonous bugs for a moment, especially the aggressive one that had attacked houndour before he spoke again "Okay gentlemen, and if any of you are ladies I suppose, here's the deal; houndour fights your hot-headed friend here and if he wins, he comes with me and will become stronger than he could ever be sticking around here. If houndour loses, I will take him and any of you who are hurt to be healed at the huts in the outer forest. Perhaps even get a few bugs for you to eat,hm?" He added "You eat those little bugs from the outer forest, right?" After stating his offer to the group of poisonous insects that were probably more concerned with eating houndour than any caterpie, he waited for a response while putting his hand on houndour's head.

"Ouch, wound my pride why don't you." Claire chuckled quietly to herself as the Combee didn't seem to agree to her little offer. Welp, looks like they were doing this the hard way. She wasn't about to pass up this opportunity - there was no telling if she'd get another chance like this, so she was doing it. She didn't like being this confrontational buuuuut, welp, combee was adorable and she wanted a Vespiquen.

"Alright Ralia, we're doin' this the hard way again!" At least they had an excellent opportunity for a sneak attack here since it had turned her back to them. "Hit 'em with a confusion followed by a double team!" Now, all they had to do was weaken it a bit then chunk a pokeball at her and they could move onto getting a Weedle. Easy enough...nothing at all could go wrong, could it?

"Ralts!~" With a happy, confident cry Ralia focused its psychic abilities on the Combee, hopefully before it could retreat.

Amelia smiled as the Shuppet entered the pokeball and stayed in. A new partner and a new friend as well. She was about to let Shuppet out when someone came out of the house they were hanging around and asked what was going on before spotting and lightly chastising her. She simply gave the man a kind smile before speaking.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bother you sir. I was just hoping to make a new friend among the pokemon that seem to be living around your house." She said. "And thank you for your concern, but I'm used to being up at this hour and I have friends to keep me safe. I hope you have a good night."

With that, she turned and walked away, heading for the town exit. She was going to head towards the forest nearby. She knew of the ghost-type Phantump and was hoping to come across one with a bit of search, giving her a partner to help counter any Water-type pokemon she would come across. As she walked through the streets, she let Shuppet out of it's pokeball and held the one in her arms, letting it feel safe while still letting her see the world around them.

When she finally reached the forest, she took a deep breathe to steady her nerves. The Volbeats and Illumise that floated around and lit it up made it easier to see and cast the trees in a warm light. After she was ready, she entered and began her hunt for the Phantump, hoping she would actually find or sense one in here without having to venture in too far.

Was this man serious?

For whatever reason, Ren had latched onto the word cute mentally and had to hide her face so her blush couldn't be acknowledged by the two. The simple compliment ran through her head like a wildfire in an oil-coated forest: spreading so fast that it soon enveloped everything, burning up to incredible temperatures. However, like any fire, it was doused with a little coldness. Ewan's calm demeanor helped clear Ren's head, and she quickly recovered herself enough to stand, allowing Shyn to interact with Pikachu, but only if it didn't disturb anyone else in the area.

She cleared her throat and nodded. "Yes, I am Ren. Ren Moyra. I'm not from Isson, and where I'm from, there are no contests. They intrigued me as I presumed them of the battle type, however they continue to prove intriguing as signs of incredible skills with ones Pokemon are still required. I'm curious to learn, since I've never been to one before." She managed to say so without stuttering, though the comment of being called cute still echoed in her mind, like the embers of the great fire before it. She made it a point for it to stay there. "I suppose you both wish to view the present contest? It appears one is about to start, after all." Ren really wasn't very good at conversation, however she had to at least be courteous. Besides, the two of them likely weren't as bad as initial thoughts lead her to believe, right?

Shyn, meanwhile, was hopping about with Pikachu, also generating some static electricity and a faint glow as well. He showed off his impressive haircut, which made him look like an adorable edgelord.

With the first attacks used, the King was intimidated. He was in fear of how scary Martin was acting. Now this is what being a Dark Knight meant, cowering before him. The battle on the other had was going to be tougher than expected. Tangela was holding up against Nincada pretty well. Constrict wasn't too much of a bother, but getting wrapped up could be a problem. No matter, if the damage was likely to be healed, then all he needed to do was make sure the damage didn't matter at all. "Nincada, break out of that hold and armor up with Harden. If it can't hurt you, then this will be an easier fight. Don't let yourself get beaten by some weakling." Nincada struggled to get free of his opponent. Preparing for a longer fight with Harden. While the opponent might get some health back, it won't matter if it lacks the power to win against Nincada. Martin gave a smirk, this was looking to be a piece of cake.

Urk, he hadn't expected the Ducklett to be able to provide such a formidable defense. It took practically no damage while his Wooper couldn't same the same. At this rate both his Pokemon would be worn out before he obtained victory. What's worse the male had made things worse by handing the girl his pokeball, obviously the brains of the operation. Fine then. Change of plans. "Atlas bump Whooper into the water, Whooper attack that guy's legs and capsize him." Atlas would shove Whooper into the water: with a mild noise of surprise from the latter and out of the way of the fire, hopefully the Whooper could at least threaten the Growlith and its trainer. If not it wasn't a big deal as Dawkin had given up on holding his ground anyway. When the girl threw the Pokeball Dawkin would attempt to catch it to prevent it from going past him. He wasn't sure whether he'd be able to catch, but he was going to darn well try. His options were so limited, at this rate he was going to have to use his trump card, what a shame.

She smilled and said good bye to Audrey, before continued her way back to the forest. Some time of walking the forest nbeginend to end and big little scary looking cave opened up to her.

Walking out of the forest she noticed a two trainer there or so she thought. A very tall brown haired guy and small white haired girl. First she thinked that they could challenge her, but when they beginned to talk something about a missing girl or something, She sighed in relieved.

"What do you mean? What is Team amethyst? Never hear of them?" she beginned to question them, not really sure why, but it must be something important. Nodding to the girl offer to heal her pokemons, she really didn't trust the two, but right now she needed her pokemons healed.

She gived her three pokeball to the girl to heal them. she was exited to enter the Wet caverns right now, but wanted some answers as well.

Action: Well I guess there is two? Questioning them and entering the wet caverns xD

The bugs looked alarmed and tensed, ready to lash out as Lucian clapped his hands and then forwarded his deal. After he was done, the back number started making angry noises that did not sound particularly well-intended.

‘Venipede!’ The one in the front, however, stayed calm and told the others off, glaring at Houndour. It appeared to have accepted the proposal, confident in its victory.

Then, the Venipede jumped somewhat into the air and curled into a ball, rolling to the side, jumping on twigs and tree trunks before it could catch speed to hurl towards Houndour. The little bug knew Rollout.

The other Venipede’s glared angrily at Lucian and Houndour, but stayed in their places.

@Rune_Alchemist

Ralia directed a Confusion at the Combee, and it impacted with a little purple effect that knocked the mind of the Combee.

‘Combeeeeee…!’ The Pokémon shouted out in damage from the hit. It took a substantial amount of damage, but should be able to handle at least one more. Now, fortunately for trainers, Pokémon in general turns to fight an offender rather than fleeing, meaning Combee turned around with six tiny angry eyes and three unhappy mouths, and moved in to blow a powerful wind in Ralia’s direction as she was multiplying with Double Team, a wind otherwise known as the move Gust.

Thoooooouuuuuuugh, the Combee wasn’t the only thing that turned towards her.

A distant Vespiquen, hearing the cry of her worker bee and a potential future queen, turned to glare in the direction. Blocking her way stood Delphox, who naturally had seen this future, the bipedal fox grinning a bit back at the queen bee and readying her flaming wand. Vespiquen wordlessly glared at the fox, the sounds of many, MANY bees filling the woods around her as the Vespiquen’s pheromones ordered the attack. Within moments, many hundred bees and Combees came flying towards Claire and Ralia to attack, but…

‘Del… phox~’ Delphox called out, the fire of the wand increasing dramatically in intensity as the fox spun in place, waving out the wand and swinging it along with her spinning. As she did, a powerful burst of flame scorched out, flaring out as a long wave in a single direction as the result of her spinning. The flame burned the bugs that had gotten too close to the right, and then Delphox stopped and spun the other direction, a wave of fire blasting off to the left. As the fires surged out, the noise encompassed even the buzzing and the surrounding area was colored red.

‘Phoxel~’ Delphox challenged the woods, Beedrills and Vespiquens turning their attention to the offender, who now had burned much more than just the Combees of that one Vespiquen. Fortunately, she had psychic control of her own fire so she could keep it from setting fire to any trees or such, but the woods themselves recognized her as a threat. At this… Delphox merely grinned.

Oh, and behind her, Claire and Ralia was facing off against this single Combee. Yupp.

The man looked at her in a bit of dull surprise, then replied, waving her off.

‘Fine, fine, if you’re going to be so well-mannered and all. Take extra care, little one. Some kinds of people are more active at night, when there’s nobody around…’ He said, before shutting the door calmly, allowing Amelia to be on her way.

So, Amelia wandered into the wetlands of Route 2

Route 2

‘Wooo, I exist’

And then on to her real destination, Infested Woods.

At night, Outer Infested Woods glew brightly yet still. Volbeats tracked their Illumise, and in the night they dared drift higher. A few Illumise were competing with one another having their Volbeats create patterns, of spheres, triangles, spheres with triangles sticking out around like a sun in the night sky, formed like a large human in the sky or like star signs created on whims. It was quite the display, and on the ground it was accompanied by the music of Kricketots hitting their antenna together, causing it to sound like a gentle orchestra of xylophones. This was a display that simply wasn’t able to be experienced during the day of Infested Woods. There were numerous humans around, even at night, sitting around smiling at the skies with each other’s company just to experience this spectacle of sound and sight around small campfires to keep warm.

That said, if Amelia was looking for anything other than bugs, she was out of luck. She wasn’t feeling the presence of any ghosts in this immediate area. Perhaps if she went deeper? … Would she risk that in the dead of night? Regardless, a choice fell onto her.

Connected areas:
Route 2. Close, can easily get there without complication.
Wet Caverns. Requires a bit of a walk alongside the outer regions of the woods.

If she checked her Pokédex, she’d find a record of Pokémon which other trainers had found here.

Ren is free to interrupt or flee at any point of this post, as if let to go off on his own, Joshua will go a bit overboard. This is true in all posts, really, but there is special need to mention it here.

‘Oooh, foreigner! Cooool~’ Joshua immediately called out happily as Ren mentioned not being from Isson, and then listened with a wide smile with eyes on her. Then, the smile vanished as Ren continued to speak. His hands drifted to his headphones, which the boy had been wearing the whole time, and pulled them off as his eyes wandered to look at Ewan.

‘I see.’ Ewan replied, nodding to Ren without noticing the staring Joshua. ‘Indeed, we seem to be here to watch the-’

‘Ewan.’ Joshua stated, pulling the other boy’s attention by interrupting him. Ewan blinked a little, and turned to gaze at his friend.

‘Do you realize what we have here?’ Joshua asked.

‘… What?’ Ewan asked, sensing what was coming next.

‘We have been chosen!’ Joshua declared. He placed one hand on the shoulder of his friend and directed the other towards Ren, his face looking as happy as enlightened. ‘This lovely flower, born in rural lands of no contests, has been guided by divine forces to us by the way of her own curiosity! A diamond in the rough, brought to us by seeming exceptional chance, yet make no mistake! There is a star from lands unknown, and it is our holy mission to show her the world of glamour and beauty she’s yet to know yet undoubtedly linked to by destiny!’ Joshua took an excited step forward towards Ren, entirely intending on placing both his hands excitedly on her shoulders if she didn’t retreat, his eyes wild with excitement.

‘Ren Moyra, there’s a star within you that is but waiting to burst out and overwhelm the known world! You have an inner self that will blast over the benighted imaginations of the ignorant crowd! Reality will be rewritten, records will be broken, I can’t even picture how beautiful you’ll be when dressed up for the stage! Now, all you need is the perfect partner…’

‘And what do we have here!?’ Joshua asked, letting go of Ren if he had caught her and looked down to Shyn where he was showing off for Pikachu. Joshua immediately grinned and gestured to the Shinx with amazement. ‘Oh, yes! So cool! So cute! So tough! Maybe clever? Beautiful nonetheless!’ He lifted his hands to direct at Shyn and Ren. ‘This is a dream waiting to be fulfilled! A destiny past any before it! A cool and mysterious trainer, who’s beauty’s just waiting to be revealed, and a Pokémon whose toughness and confidence shall explode on stage to draw all the eyes of the crowd! By Arceus decreed, it is not coincidence that has brought you to us today! To be declared worthy of such a task… I am honored!’

Joshua suddenly spun around to the store which he had been attending when Shyn and Ren had appeared. Ewan took that moment to take a step closer to Ren with a frown on his eyes.

‘You’re free to decline at any time.’ He mentioned silently enough that Joshua would not be able to hear. ‘In fact, if you’re uncomfortable, flee, right now.’ He said and returned to where he had been standing. A few seconds later it was time for Joshua to spin around and head back to Ren, if she was still standing there.

‘If I may, I offer this present for the occasion?’ Joshua approached, offering something in his hand forward to Ren. It was a wine-red little hairpin, a small stripe to pinch around hair which end became a wine-red tiny flower. ‘Those who distinguish themselves early have an advantage early on. Also, rewarding those who wish to look at you is excellent practice. You hide yourself, but those who peek through are already in for a real treat. Some accessories will go a long way to further bolstering the amazement of those who see the real you. You’re already cool and cute, but if you wish to become a Coordinator of your own one day, you’ll need to be as charming and confident as your Pokémon~! Now! Past this, let us watch the show and be inspired! For our future as Coordinators~!’

Joshua would then offer Ren his hand, intending on guiding her towards the direction where audience enters the stage-area to watch, WHILE his other hand was still offering the hairpin.

Ewan stared at Joshua for a moment, before finally speaking to his friend.

‘You’re going to scare her away with your antics.’ Ewan told him in a somewhat quieter tone, before turning to Ren. ‘… He’s ultimately just meaning to ask if you wish to see the show with us.’ Ewan said, still calmly, though he did appear embarrassed from his friend’s speech. … Joshua’s little show had likely drawn the eyes of surrounding people, with varying amounts of amusement, to add to that feeling.

With a scratch or two at the vines, Nincada was able to get himself loose from the vines, and Tangela remained attached to the ground via Ingrain. Lewis smirked a bit in relief that his plant was able to scare off the opponent. Nincada started hardening himself for the next attack, while Lewis…

‘That’s it! We can do this! Now for the secret weapon! Sleep Powder!’ After the command, Lewis threw a glance at the still sleeping mercenary leaned at the wall over there… ‘And don’t hit me!’

‘Tan-gela!’ The Pokémon shook itself, and a powder released from the jiggling vines like spores, seeking forward at Nincada and spreading slightly in front of them, meaning another threat to drowse to sleep for Martin’s Pokémon.

The guy raised an eyebrow as Atlas pushed Wooper into the water and then dodged the Ember himself, and then the Wooper was commanded to charge his leg.

‘Right, fine. Ember the Aron.’ He commanded, and Growlithe turned to the now Wooper-shield-less Steel-type, and shot out a fast Ember in his direction.

‘Ducklett! Block the Wooper!’ The girl commanded, and the Ducklett dove into the water to meet with Wooper’s charge. Ducklett was far faster than Wooper when it came to both outside and inside the water, unfortunately. If the water-type continued, Wooper and Ducklett would simply impact, which counts as Struggle damaging both parties.

So, the girl took her stance and attempted throwing it. Turns out, she was a pretty good thrower, and the ball carried above Dawkin. Dawkin jumped to catch it, but instead it simply spiralled to the right, hitting the wall and with a flash another Pokémon came out.

Pokédex Entry #322 – Numel, the Numb Pokémon. Numel is a cauldron of magma, which powers its fire-moves and enormous power that can move up to around 100kg. It is extremely dull-witted and won’t even notice being hit. If it gets wet the magma cools and it loses its energy.

‘… Meeeeel…!’ Sounded the slow Pokémon with half-open eyes, staring forward at Dawkin.

‘Ember the Aron!’ The guy commanded from a distance, and the Numel slowly turned. Looked like Atlas soon would have embers to dodge from two locations. Meanwhile, the girl took her Miccino’s Pokéball and prepared to throw that one, too.

‘Never heard of Team Amethyst, huh. Hopefully, one day that will be the norm…’ The girl sighed a little, before gazing at Donna again. ‘They’re bad people. They advertised themselves originally as a group who caught rare Pokémon for you and then you simply had to buy the Pokémon from them. However, it went out of hand. Rare Pokémon were being hunted to extinction, because of their sudden availability thanks to Amethyst. At some point, their means also changed, and they thought it was okay to steal rare Pokémon from trainers to sell to their buyers. They started attacking trainers, and the routes became less safe.’

‘… We fought them off.’ The guy over there said. ‘In the Team Wars a few years ago, we, Team Virtue, fought them off and destroyed their bases of operation. Because of loss of public face, their customers vanished, and Team Amethyst sunk back into the darkness. The world became safe once more. … But, they were never eradicated. They’re still out there…’ The guy said, considerable hatred in his voice.

‘… Yeah.’ The girl confirmed. ‘We’re still searching for their remnants. They’re out there. As long as there is a customer with few morals desiring a rare Pokémon, they will always have a market. We won’t stop patrolling. The world is a lot safer, but still not entirely. Call us if you ever suspect anything bad. Here’s my number.’ The girl handed over a card. It was the card of one Anabelle of Team Virtue, along with an address to a place in Justroad City and a phone number.

Donna obtained Anabelle’s Card!

… If she accepted it, anyway. Then, Anabelle healed up Donna’s Pokémon, and she was free to go with a word of caution.

Then, Donna wandered on into the hole in the mountain, descending into…

Nincada managed to free himself and had the time for a Harden. Martin was relived that he wasn't stuck, until it turns out even Tangela can use sleep moves. He knew he could dodge this one, unlike the sound of Sing. If he kept up the defense, then even if Nincada was asleep, the damage wouldn't matter at all. This was going to be a battle of who has the better luck. He spoke up his annoyance at the tactic to his opponent, "Are we really going down this path again? No bother, get out of the way and use another Harden. Let none touch you, Nincada." Nincada nodded and moved away from the spores, preparing another Harden. Defense was a lot easier when there was no concern for offense at the moment. The earlier Scratch was already wrote off as a wasted attack in Martin's mind. He should have just started with this tactic. A reminder for the next battles against a stronger opponent. Since Tangela couldn't move, staying out of range will be the easy part. The challenge will be when it's time to go back on the offense.

Unfortunately, this time, Nincada must have underestimated the reach of the spores, for as he made his way away and managed to get off his Harden, the spores spread on and reached him. Unable to do anything about it, Nincada fell asleep, at least for now.

‘There we go! Now! Tangela! Vine Whip, Vine Whip, Vine Whip!’ Lewis let out in elation, pointing forward at Nincada. Because sleep did not mean faint in this world.

‘Tangela!’ The Pokémon sounded out in similar elation and started attacking with Vine Whip, the tentacles of the Tangela lashing out with powerful snaps at the sleeping Nincada. Unless Martin managed to come up with a plan for how to wake Nincada up from the unnaturally induced sleep, Tangela would be able to get in two Vine Whips against him before he woke up. Given two Hardens, that didn't hurt all that much, but was still worth a considerable blow to the back of the Bug/Ground type.

As soon as he woke up again Nincada'd be ready for action again.

"Showtime!~" Claire shouted excitedly. She barely was paying attention to what Delphox and the Vespiquen were doing. She trusted Delphox to do her job, and her job was to catch this Combee before the battle got dragged out. She had to admit though, she was getting a bit excited. Maybe she had been playing too many video games in her spare time recently, but this entire scenario was absolutely right up her alley. She couldn't afford to get distracted, though. Combee whipped around, obviously not too happy with being sneak attacked. It whipped up a powerful wind with its wings, sending a powerful gust of wind right towards Ralia.

Urgh, right. Maybe she should have took a look at what moves it knew. That was going to be difficult to dodge for Ralia, wouldn't it? She could only hope Ralia had time to confuse the Combee with her positioning with one of its clones.

"Alright, we need to finish this quickly, Ralia. Avoid the gust if you can, if not just get another confusion off!"

Ralia moved to avoid the flying type attack, its clones moving to attempt to confuse Combee with her location. If it failed, upon recovering from the attack she'd go ahead and move to attack again.

Martin knew this was bound to happen. His Pokemon was asleep, and he had no way to actually wake it up. He still had no other choices to swap. The only good news about this was getting two Hardens in earlier for this event. At least Nincada should in theory be able to tank the hits. All he could do was wait for Nincada to wake up despite the pounding he was taking from hit after hit of Vine Whip. If there was one thing Martin was confident in, it was Nincada's ability to stick around for a long time in a fight. Still, he had no defense for sleep attacks. His only hope was to use Harden until the damage didn't matter, then steamroll this opponent. "Sleep, what an underhanded fight, King. I guess that which you call a monster is exactly what I expected. No matter, you shall not crack our armor. We will not stop until you are beaten. Rise and shine, Nincada. You need to use Harden again when you wake up." Waiting, the worst part of sleeping Pokemon. Eventually it would be his time to get back in, but that was all he can do, wait.

Amelia searched for several minutes before realizing she had no chance of finding any Ghost-types this deep in the forest. Part of her wasn't that surprised but the other part had wished she wouldn't have to go deeper to try and find what she had hoped to find. Sighing to herself, she looked deeper into the woods before gathering up her courage and moving onwards. She only planned on going as deep as she needed to and hoped that she wouldn't have to camp out in the woods for the night.

Moving deeper into the woods, she kept an eye out for any possible danger and counters, be they with pokemon or trainers, friendly or hostile. Litwick began absorbing surrounding life energy to light the flame on his head, though he was careful not to absorb any of Amelia's or Shuppet's as they were his friends, allies, and Trainer. Not to mention, Amelia's seemed rather fragile.

Now this was really too much, he couldn't fight these people with only two Pokemon, with one freshly caught no less. It seemed... ugh, he'd underestimated his foes. In over his head. Again. He'd try running one more time. His pokedex revealed Numel was basically stupid so he'd probably be able to get past. "Aron, mudslap Growlith, Whooper pull back, attack the girl with water gun!" Dawkin took advantage of this opportunity to... run like hell. Once Aron attacked he'd immediately be pulled back into his pokeball and the same would apply to Whooper. Dawkin doubted he'd make it far but his escape rope was already in hand if it looked like things were getting too far out of hand.

"Excellent" Lucian said as the little bug began the battle. This battle would be over quickly, no bug can stand more than a few blasts of fire from a fire type of even equal power. He just hoped the bugs would honor their deal when the battle was over "Houndour, roll to the left and use embers." Lucian ordered.

Houndour did as he was told, rolling with a more practiced motion then previously, attempting to avoid the venipedes rollout before firing a barrage of embers at the poisonous bug.

While multiplied with a Double Team, the Gust still managed to find its way to the right Ralia, the wind whipping up blowing around her and dealing damage while maybe being a bit disorienting. Regardless, Ralia could handle the low-level attack with relative ease and then aim a Confusion back at the bug.

‘Co…!’ The flying bug recoiled as it was it in the air, spinning a bit out of control but trying to get it back.

Meanwhile, Delphox had attracted the attention of several Beedrills as well as Vespiquen and her followers. Delphox was handling herself pretty well, spewing out a fire which she then controlled by psychic power to fly back and forth in-between the incoming attackers, roasting and fainting them one after another. Though, in the distance, three Vespiquens aligned to glare at her, and then… they all shot out small, glowing orbs with an eerie light about them, which spun wildly in the air on their way towards Delphox. Confuse Ray.

‘… Phox.’ Delphox let out what pretty much amounted to a curse and jumped out of the way with vulpine speed, momentarily using all four of her limbs to show she could still be fast as a fox to get out of the way of the shining slightly homing balls of confusion. She threw fire behind her, sending flames searing at the balls and pursuing Beedrills and Combees, while also trying to cover for Claire in her battle there.

‘Com… bee…!’ The Combee, having taken the Confusion, was pretty damaged now. Probably couldn’t handle much more. But, regardless, she was intending on summoning her powers for another Gust, and…!

‘Combee?’ … That last Confusion succeeding in inflicting Confusion on Combee. Half her wings suddenly failed in the midst of trying to summon a Gust. She’s about to drift into a tree and hurt herself, something she might not be able to handle without fainting. Claire and Ralia may act as they might please.

‘It is my duty as King to adapt to any fighting style to defend my kingdom!’ Lewis boosted, head held high as he got in those Vine Whips with his Tangela. Finally, Nincada woke up. From this ordeal, he had taken roughly half the damage he could withstand, but as Nincada rose to a waking state and issued another Harden the amount of punishment he could take increased yet again.

‘Harden all you like! Just fortifying your armor won’t recover the health you lost! As it stands, I’m confident my rooted Tangela will outlast you! Tangela! Vine Whip! Vine Whip! VINE WHIP!’ Lewis shouted out, his strategy now simply an all-out assault hoping to make Nincada faint as soon as possible.

‘Taaaaaa-!’ The Pokémon acknowledged, lashing out with long blue vines used as whips at Nincada, fairly fast and another was quickly appearing after the last intending to strike again against Nincada’s armor in order for it to eventually crack. As Lewis strategy was now but mindlessly striking with Vine Whip until results presented themselves and trusting Ingrain to keep Tangela alive, Martin could potentially now line up his strategy to a more predictable yet perhaps threatening opponent rather than just the next move.

@Joshua Tamashii - Night

‘Hm? Ghost-types?’ A random trainer that happened to walk in her way reacted upon being asked. He poked his lips a bit, thinking about it. ‘Well, this place is really more known for lots upon lots of bugs. But, if anyone knows if there’s anything else, it would be Laurinda. She knows these woods like the back of her hand. I think she’s somewhere inside the woods right now, or maybe she went home for the night? You’d know her if you saw her, she wears this white robe with golden drape of some kind in the front and has really long black hair, typically seen with a Delphox. I think she has at least one ghost-type, maybe she caught it in the woods? As for generally, I’m not entirely sure if there are any Ghost-types in there, but there could be!’ He shrugged before continuing on his way unless Amelia had more questions for him.

Then Amelia was on the way, heading into the woods. Moving away from the outside areas of the woods, the vegetation grew tighter, the lights from the Volbeats disappeared. Soon enough, it was dark, only the light from Litwick’s flame to guide the way. There was always the spirits of minor bugs around to burn. So they moved, and crossed the border into…

In the night, the True Infested Woods were even darker. Small sounds could constantly be heard all around. A sound of something hitting something else in the distance, leaves constantly rustling here and there, predatorial eyes seemingly gazing from everywhere. It was a lot more conventionally scary than a conventional fright of ghosts might be, though perhaps only to a specific kind of people. Amelia could but press on, but so far her senses were handing her a complete blank…

No, wait. There was something. Way off in the distance, she was picking something up. There was some kind of Ghost-type way off, deeper in the woods-

Shuppet’s malice-sensor and Litwick’s soul-sensing light both picked it up simultaneously, which perhaps their trainer missed. There were numerous bugs moving in to surround them in front, spiders climbing closer on trees and leaves, intending on attacking the intruder. If Amelia kept walking, she’d be walking straight into a Spinarak ambush. It was clear these weren’t the friendliest of woods to young girls or intruders.

Pokédex Entry #167 – Spinarak, the String Spit Pokémon. It weaves traps of web in fine but durable silk, and then waits for days upon end for prey to be captured. Its webs are connected to its nerves, letting it know exactly what has been caught. Its web is used for fishing lines.

Assumingly, the Pokémon would warn their trainer. Amelia would then be free to react as she desires.

The guy frowned as the Mud-Slap came flying, and with a quick movement he grabbed his Growlithe and spun around, holding his Growlithe in his arms so he could take the Mud-Slap himself with his back, staining his suit but otherwise keeping his Pokémon safe from harm. Meanwhile, Wooper moved back to Water Gun at the girl, who desperately shielded her face but turned out she didn’t need it as Ducklett swooped in to her rescue by placing itself in the way of the Water Gun. This defensive combo, however, meant that the two of them were giving Dawkin an opportunity to make a run for it. Indeed, after he retrieved Wooper and his Aron and the two Embers ineffectively hit the cavern floor and wall, he was free to dash for all he could, the Numel staring dimly in the direction where the Aron was no longer standing as he dashed past.

‘Growlithe!’

‘Ducklett!’

There was a sound as the two Pokémon trainers once again sent their Pokémon ahead, Ducklett doing its best to fly forward after him while Growlithe more effectively jumped from his trainer onto the solid ground. Meanwhile, Dawkin was heading forwards, and…

Another split. Three directions, once again. If he wanted to continue dashing, he had to make a choice.

To the right, there was a slightly descending tunnel that opened in a larger area. Already from here, he could see the movement of several what appeared to be families of some seemingly rock-based wild Pokémon that he couldn’t identify from this distance, and Zubats overhead of them. The tunnel went deeper, he could not see where.

In front of him, was a thinly wet tunnel which water only reached a few centimeters of height, but it went on for quite some time and then ended up in a rapid descent, past which could not be seen from here. There were a few Surskits skidding on the surface of the water.

To the left was a slightly descending rocky tunnel that appeared to be ending in a pool of water that went further out of Dawkin’s sight. However, also in that direction, there seemed to be some kind of light coming from somewhere in there.

It was up to him to decide which direction to go.

Lucian’s assumption may have been perfectly correct. Houndour easily jumped aside of the rolling bug, no matter how effective he might have been had he hit, and then aimed in a well-placed Ember.

‘IPEEEDE…!’ The blast impacted the Venipede and with a cry of pain the Pokémon flew off a bit to the woods, startling the others. The super-effective move already put Venipede in a dangerous position, relatively close to fainting. He wouldn’t be able to handle another Ember.

‘Veni…!’ However, determined to inflict some kind of pain on his opponent, the Venipede jumped up into a ball again and rolled at Houndour, burn marks already all over him. His companions were giving small cries to edge him on and also looked like they were barely restraining themselves from rolling forth into the fight themselves.

Lucian Vazquez

Lucian sighed at the heavy damage the bug had taken from the single hit. "I cannot help but find myself..disappointed" Lucian took one of his pokeballs from his pocket "No matter, we will help fix your flimsy defenses in time. Houndour dodge again." Lucian ordered, houndour attempted to leap out of the way before Lucian threw the pokeball at the weakened Venipide. "Remember you three, we had a deal. Attack me and houndour will burn you three as well, only there will be no healing for you." He reminded the other bugs who seemed anxious as he sat and waited to see if his second companion would resist the pokeball.

She listened carefully what the two talked about the team amythist and stuff. Only think beginned to wonder her was the girl they was looking for, but she didn't dare to ask about it. It wasen't her problem right, she wondered. She nodded as the girl gived her number to her "Thank you, I will keep my eyes open, for the Team amythist" she said, taking her pokeballs back as they was healed.

Taking the balls to her bag she waved to the two and entered to the caves. The cave was darker than she was thought and it was almost impossible to see anything. Luckily she was taked her flashflight along, it could be useful for now. Opening the flashflight she looked at the cave, noticing there was different paths, one which seemed to be very dry and other where was a little stream there. The dry could be nicer to walk, but she was heared that is better to follow the water, because if it gets in it's need to get out as well.

Sighing she beginned walk next to the stream, deeper to the cave, not really sure where she was going or where she was. Thought so far she was safe, there was weird sound coming somewhere, but she didn't see anything yet.
