Two more days to a year that I'm not supposed to be counting. The little Tom Hanks in my soul is marking days without you. Castaway on an island surrounded by an ocean of tears getting deeper daily.

Two months and a week. I miss you. This sucks. Is it bad that I pretend that you PCS'd and will be back before long? Then I remember you're gone and won't be back even if I wished it. And I do. Daily.

Two months, four days. I miss you. Can't listen to Mike and the Mechanics "In The Living Years" anymore. It came on at work yesterday as the last song and I cried.

Bio

Ugh...I hate this part. So I'm super into Sailor Moon...which no one else is...and that's okay. I also really love Items, Escaflowne, Vampire Knight, Fushigi Yugi, Ah My Goddess, K Dramas, Chinese and Tiwanise Dramas as well. I torture people by making them read the TV.

Oh this is where I tell you I'm American...and I just lost a few people but oh well. Trust me if I could afford to live overseas I would. So yeah...that's me.

Siobhan was giddy and concentration was pretty internal. Replaying that kiss over and over again. Consequently she didn’t really remember how she had pulled herself away from Joel, gotten dressed in her normal clothes, or even made it out to the Jeep. Automatic pilot. I really hope I didn’t say something stupid. I probably didn’t say anything at all. I know I didn’t talk about Bradley or that fiasco. I wonder when he’s going to bring up the steering wheel? I think it’s sweet and classy that he’s writing back. Besides keeping in touch couldn’t hurt since the damned thing is authentic, with papers and everything. Yes it was from that one girl’s family...what was her name...some kind of fish...Herring? No. Trout? No. Carp? Maybe. Oh yeah Marlin. Sport fish like Nemo’s dad. Well there’s always one odd one out in a family.

Looking out the window at the now dirty winter cityscape it was almost hard to recall it being fresh and white. She was glad that she had gotten the pictures off the camera and had started working on them over the weekend. She also hadn’t gotten much sleep due to her muse consistently driving her all weekend after Joel had dropped her off from the University. So when asked about what she was in the mood for her stomach rumbled and she immediately thought of the kiss. Blushing she retorted, “Well a nice cut of blue rare beef sounds like it would hit the spot. So I’m thinking steak. Unless you’re offering yourself up for dinner, and if that’s the case why did we leave the shop?”

Her eyes went wide and her blush deepened as she snapped her head around to look out the window again. JUST WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!?! Did that just...It did!!! I wonder if the door would open fast enough for me to jump off the bridge? This is the last time I let the muse out for more than an eight hour period. Apparently she goes bananas. This is what I get for not eating or sleeping much. That Midnight Oil I got from Joel was a lifesaver. I bet my blush goes all the way down my...That’s not helping!!! He better have taken that Rebellion deal. He deserves it. He’s a hell of a driver and this would get him out of Sol so that more people know. I wonder if they asked him about Jamaica. If they’re smart they did. But where does that leave us? I still haven’t told him about the Art Show or Bradley the stalker...

As they stopped at a red light and Siobhan snapped back to reality as Joel talked about the Zoo and naming the baby rhino. He had come up with an inappropriate one but it was the best one that seemed to fit. He handed the phone over and Siobhan read the email. “You have to be joking. Really?!? Horny?!? And it’s a boy!?!? Oh that is priceless. Tell me you want me to print this out and frame it!!!” She starts laughing.
I'm sorry, but I'm going to drop out of the RP for now. I can't work up the motivation to post, and sandbox RPs have a tendency to get me stumped when it comes to a starting post.

Best wishes without me, folks.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Just for future reference, for you and others who read this, Prince, Pilatus, and I are all here to help if you think you're stuck or not motivated. If you knew that large platform RPs are generally hard for you then you shouldn't stress yourself out and stick to the one on ones or small platform RPs. My best recommendation, so that you don't waste your time or another GM or Co GM's time, is that you refer to the tags in the topic of an RP. For example this one has Large Group selected you may want to look for Small Group or One on One in the topic.

Best wishes

I shake my head as I watch everyone leave. I grab my helmet and walk around shutting doors. Not in the greatest of moods I run upstairs and collect the plastic sheeting that will go over the windows and a staple gun and start fixing stuff. Well as much as can be fixed. I will call a freaking window place tomorrow and have them fix it. Thousands of dollars I did not want to spend but had to now. Bollocks.

Ten minutes later I have all of the windows covered and the glass cleaned up. Putting on my Bluetooth headset and helmet on the phone rings from an unlisted number. Great now what? “Hello?”

A chime sounded on the other end as Athena secured the line just in case. “Hello…” said an almost robotic female voice “...this is a service call from DS Technologies. We are calling about your purchases.” The line broke then the voice was gone but another chimed in. “Hey Jocelyn it's Ghost sorry about the recording but can't be to careful with everything that has happened. I see that you might be having some issues?” Athena, sitting in her digital Sanctuary typed on her keyboard while a call icon was lit next to her face. “I understand that you might have burned an identity so I'm working up a new one and waiting on your approval to make the old one disappear. Is there anything else you might need? You may be a client but you hold a special place in my circuits.” Athena stopped talking cause she then realized she hadn't given Jocelyn a chance to talk.

I laugh softly keeping to the speed limit. All I need now is to get nabbed by the cops. Ghost to the rescue. Apparently she knew what was needed to. Something to be said about convention. “That's my girl. Always on the ball. Knock yourself out with the identity. Oh and the Stark stuff I am not supposed to have needs to be moved. It is still at the prior location. I would move it but I am on the bike and am heading South.” Coasting I listened for Ghost’s reply.

“Stark tech? I'll do what I can. I can move any of my tech but anything else will be slightly harder.” She typed away bouncing a signal to the beacons in the tech. “Ok looks like I got everything I sold you but some of the stark stuff is still giving off a reading. Cops haven't picked up on your trail yet so I will keep tabs on the place and have a drone sent over.” Athena switches screens to her scrambler and an identity finally came up. “Alright your ID is updated and should already be on your driver's license. The name is Rosalina Kendra Young.” She let out a sigh and waited to see what Jocelyn might have to say.

I leaned with a turn and came up out of it and gunned it. “Roger that. I'll pick up a copy in NYC. Tonic out.” I started to drop my native accent and worked on my middle-of-nowhere-and-everywhere-American accent on the drive back.

I intended to get my equipment transported to this base they were talking about. My luck running high I pulled up to the address to see Finnlay getting off his bike. I walked up to him. I know there is something bothering him. I grab his hand and sit with him as Sling drones on. My head snaps up as he finishes and Alistair attacks Le- Ava.

As I watch the scene unfold her leg starts bleeding again. I let go of Finnlay and pull off my right glove. I make my way over to Alistair and Ava before Sling mentions that I am needed. I shoot him a glare and move in to heal Ava. “Okay I am done with the dick measuring contest. Officially that was probably the worst and best way to find out what this group is made up of. I knew I was being watched but you are missing some of my life but it is not important. So now we ask ourselves, do we trust each other?” I made eye contact with Finnlay to see if he was upset yet.
Siobhan & Joel

Interaction: Each other

It was after the storm had passed leaving things like a winter wonderland. Siobhan packed a few things to keep boredom at bay over at the shop. So far she'd seen Joel take things apart and put them back together again and it was making her drowsy.

Siobhan had packed her sewing kit to work on her cosplay outfit for Maid Sama to wear next weekend at the Con that was a few towns over. She just had some minor adjustments to make but had to be sure. So as per normal she disappeared from the downstairs shop.

Coming back downstairs in the maid outfit, black thigh highs, and black lace up boots. Walking over to the fridge she opens it and takes out a Blue Moon. Looking up she catches Joel staring “What? Oh this!!! It's a cosplay outfit I'm working on. Well?” She waits for a few seconds. "Uh Joel? Anyways..." Siobhan pops open the Blue Moon and takes a long pull. "I have to do a couple of adjustments and it'll fit better." She looks over at him raises an eyebrow archly. "You sure you're okay?" A few more seconds go by then a half a minute. "Jesus Christ Joel! String words together even if it's something like we never landed on the moon." She narrows her eyes at him and downs the rest of the beer reaching for two more. Then walks over handing one to Joel.

Joel was thinking about how heavy a foot Siobhan was going to have on the throttle as he carefully adjusted the linkage between the pedal and the springs that controlled intake on the Corvette’s large V8. If she stomped it, as seemed to mostly be her custom, the car was going to come around on her every time and he hadn’t really taught her the art of countersteering against torque. Even though she paid him, he didn’t particularly want her to plant it into a wall the first time out, especially considering the amount of work he’d done. Still, it wouldn’t be anything he hadn’t seen before, but with her he felt more responsible. He heard a clack of steps descending behind him on the metal stairway that were not Sio’s usual sneakers and glanced up behind him. He started to turn back to his work, but couldn’t stop himself in the middle of an obvious double-take with the words what the fuck barely making it from his lips as he glanced over his shoulder.

He put his ratchet down and took the bottle from her hand allowing his eyes to continue glancing her over. If she was going to wear that get-up then he was going to enjoy looking at it. “Looks like it fits pretty good to me.” He said using a hand under his stained sweatshirt to pop the bottle top. “We did land on the moon,” He said taking a drink and regaining his hold on reality, “But the footage is fake... Why are you wearing that?”

"Making alterations. For the Con. Not paying attention must be a direct correlation to the shortness of the worn skirt. I also needed an opinion on it. So what do you think?” She gestured to the outfit.

“Kind of a strange place for you to be modeling it ya know? This is a car shop.” He said stepping towards her and wiping his hands on a rag. She was slightly taller than him in her heels, but he didn’t care. He knew what she was doing. Always trying to be a tease. He thought to himself. “I’m just trying to do my job here,” He continued with a fake shrug of annoyance. “And you’re distracting me.”

“You're distracted? Mr Hyper-Focus,” Siobhan made the gesture for blinders with her free hand. “is distracted by an outfit? I find that hard to believe. What I'd believe is that you were actually taking a break, just as I was, and heard me coming down to get a beer and decided to tease me about my outfit. That I'd believe.” Siobhan tilted her head considering her next words. “You know I bring things here to work on. This,” She gestured to the outfit. “just happens to be something that needed some attention. But if it's making you feel uncomfortable I'd hope that you'd be able to handle it enough to tell me. So before I go change to put the finishing touches on it I'd absolutely love an opinion on it. Distracting isn't much of an opinion.” She playfully and gently poked him in the chest. She'd come to feel very comfortable with Joel over the last few weeks, hence being able to invade his personal bubble. She had feelings for him but was at a loss as how to express them. She was afraid of being labeled as “just a friend” since she didn't feel that way. Being pushy about it was the last thing she wanted and enjoyed spending time together. The discussions on just plain stupid conspiracy theories were fascinating as well as the much more believable ones. She wondered if speaking her mind about dating would be going to far. Sometimes he was hard to read.

Suddenly Jeff Foxworthy popped into her head. Talking about how guys weren't complicated “Just wanted a beer and see something nekid”. She couldn't help it she laughed softly. She bit her lip and tried to refocus and eyes still laughing and a bit breathlessly said,“Sorry just thinking of how uncomplicated men were said to be by a comedian. So opinion on the outfit? Distracting doesn't count.” Siobhan playfully poked Joel gently again.

Joel smirked slyly and snorted a little at her retort. She may have surprised him, but he could tell when she was fishing for temptations. It was one of her prime MO’s. He also knew she had a habit of overplaying her hand and this was one of those times. “I’m not uncomfortable at all.” He said raising his eyebrows slightly in another, more casual survey of her ensemble. “You look uncomfortable.” They were nearly face to face. Close enough that she hardly had to bend her arm to poke him in the chest- A playful action that he enjoyed immensely. Looking her in the eyes, he could feel his heart start to beat a little harder. He put one hand on her hip, feeling the fabric and her side against his fingers and leaned back slightly as if to make a real assessment of her work. She apparently spent some time on it and he didn’t know she also knew how to sew which was interesting. He wouldn’t give her the pleasure of saying what he wanted to say though, as she insisted on getting his “opinion”.

“Opinion?” He said giving her one last glance. Her blazing red hair and the incredible suggestiveness of her outfit did not make it easy, but he loved to flirt and she was always up for the mental joust which was one thing he liked about her most. “I don’t have one.” He said in a tone that made it painfully obvious that he did indeed have one and it probably wasn’t PG-rated. Taking a drink, he shrugged and turned around and went back to his work.

“Bullshit.” Siobhan moved in front of Joel smoothly just as he was going back to work. They were close and her heart picked up speed. She could swear that he'd hear her heartbeat if he listened intently. Maybe if he didn't. “Your face says you have an opinion. I want to hear it. Unless you're afraid?”

“See, now I'm startin’ to feel a little uncomfortable.” Joel said, continuing his mock apprehension and annoyance. They were near nose to nose. He ignored her persistence. “So either do somethin’ or get out of my way.”

His challenge was all the opening she needed. She lifted her hands to his hair and threaded her fingers through it resting them on the nape of his neck idly playing with his hair. “So I have this problem. I'd like to tell you that I'm attracted to you but I don't know if you're half as attracted to me as I am to you. Let me tell you about it. I tell you that I'm attracted to you not only physically but the way you think. I tell you that I like being friends but I'd like to be more. Then before you collect your thoughts I go back upstairs and go back to what I was doing leaving you with all that knowledge.” Siobhan smirked letting go and stepping back a little. “So what do you think of that plan?”

Joel's arms wrapped around Sio’s waist before she could back away fully and pulled her back. “Sounds like you were scared of being in the friend-zone.” He said coolly. Letting his eyes drift down slowly and then back up to her eyes. “You know, you could have just said so, but I appreciate the presentation.” He smirked. They were even closer than before, nearly nose to nose and he could feel her breath and the beat of her heart pressed against him. Tilting his head slightly and kissing her lips was as natural as hitting the ball with the bat. “What was that you said about a plan?”

Siobhan looped her arms around Joel's neck as he pulled her back against him. Heart pounding and holding her breath. Only to have it rush out as he looked at her. Then he kissed her. The rightness of the action wasn't lost on her. “I forget. Pretty sure I'm still upstairs either day dreaming or asleep. I wonder what could convince me I'm not…” She tilted her head to the side and glanced at Joel from beneath her lashes.
@GarlandDaHero Approved
Alrighty, so just a little update on a few things so everyone knows where we're headed here:

1. Current Time Skip- We're looking at keeping it open just a little longer and will probably start looking at the next skip the latter part of this week so you still have time for one or two more rounds. Groups should be thinking about what their characters did during the time that they were snowed-in. This just may be important later on. Did you get to know your group members at all? We know some had a harder time than others due to absences and commitments, but what we're really looking for is if there was a genuine effort made.

2. Next Skip- Is going to be a Tuesday. Either morning or afternoon. We haven't decided yet. Again, what did your characters do in the "off-camera" time? You're going to want to think about that as your characters head into their posts for the next skip. We feel like a Tuesday is enough time for the snow to subside and progress made in making the roads passable/ power to be restored, etc.

3. Contest Winners- @MissCapnCrunch & @Rodiak will both be getting a major clue through PM as to where the story is headed, but BE WARNED, if you try and meta-game the clue you won in the contest, then there will probably be harsh repercussions for your character(s) as well as anyone else with whom you decide to spill the beans. We will present the information in such a way that your character will be able to use it without breaking the fourth wall. We already have the ending to the story mapped out and much of it is based on the choices various people have made throughout the game. That being said, we can still yank the steering wheel in a different direction if we see fit.

That's all for now. Look at your groups and see who is up to post next, don't just wait out the skip. We have been paying close attention not only to who people have interacted with during the course of the game thus far, but also what places the characters have traveled. Consider this in your posting.

Good luck,

GM Staff

Siobhan smirks at the groggy tone in Joel's voice. She'd know that voice anywhere. “I need a nice hot beefcake. Rare as possible. If you have the race car driver version, I prefer that one but I'll take mechanic I'm pissed at for working on my car while I wasn't there. Side of sarcasm and innuendo.” She'd let that sink in for a good five seconds. “And on to the real reason I called. I'm in a bit of a jam. I'm stuck at the university due to the weather and cell service is out and not only that but the power as well. Can I please get a lift out of here? Before I become a Vaughn-sicle and you have to hold me to warm me up.”

Siobhan smirked at the phone a moment waiting for a reply. Her camera, a Nikon mirrorless model, hung around her neck like jewelry. Staring out at the falling snow she was more worried about later when it froze or if this weather came with ice. Seriously though Prague never got this cold. Or at least I don't remember it. Maybe I was on tour whenever it did. Or I just never paid attention to it. She gathered up the camera bag and put the Nikon away along with her phone.

Ethan watched Victoria walk over and faintly heard her get a room. He raised an eyebrow at that. He walked up behind her and took the key from the receptionist. “Send up champagne, fresh strawberries and a bucket of ice with two champagne flutes to the room in about an hour.”

Ethan leaned down and kissed Victoria passionately and swept her up in his arms in a bridal carry. He quickly took out his phone and breaking off the kiss he lights his path with his phone. Victoria is so light he could easily carry her for hours. They get to the door and he opens it and carries her over the threshold and kicks the door shut. He kisses her passionately again as he strides into the bedroom and tosses Victoria lightly and playfully on the bed.

Siobhan rises with assistance. “I'm sorry. I wasn't expecting anybody in the library since classes were cancelled. I was just taking some photos for reference material. Do you work here? Sorry my name is Siobhan.”

Suddenly the lights went out. Siobhan pulled out her phone and noticed she had no signal. She grimaced and turned on her flashlight app on. “Well let's find a phone and I can see if we can get out of here.”

Moving slowly she found the desk at the front of the library and picked up the phone. Grinning she dialed Joel's number since she knew it by heart, same with Paige’s number.

Ethan smiled at her cursing as the lights went out. He flat-out grinned at her statement of her interest and that lunch wasn't on the menu. “So glad to know that even in my early thirties I can still be interesting.”

He chuckled. “I wasn't worried about you being a leech. I need someone who is secure about themselves. And you seemed you could be that person.

Speaking of keeping your name out of the media. I pulled a few strings and kept yours and your sister's names out of the papers. On one condition. You and your sister owe someone a favor, not money just a favor. Trust me when I say that this can open doors for you in places you weren't even if aware of. So if you get a call you don't freak-out just breathe and listen. I'll remember to get a nice warm cabin and a romantic candlelight dinner next time.”
He grinned and shrugged as the waiter set things up.

When the waiter left he sat forward and pulled Vika closer spearing his fingers in her hair and just shy of pulling her into his lap. She wanted to tease him he could do the same. He locked eyes with her and whispered in a low growl. “I don't think you can keep up little goddess. I think you'd be begging for mercy before the end of ten minutes.” His lips brushing hers with each word the low growl vibrating through her. “Prove me wrong I dare you.”
