Two more days to a year that I'm not supposed to be counting. The little Tom Hanks in my soul is marking days without you. Castaway on an island surrounded by an ocean of tears getting deeper daily.

Two months and a week. I miss you. This sucks. Is it bad that I pretend that you PCS'd and will be back before long? Then I remember you're gone and won't be back even if I wished it. And I do. Daily.

Two months, four days. I miss you. Can't listen to Mike and the Mechanics "In The Living Years" anymore. It came on at work yesterday as the last song and I cried.

Bio

Ugh...I hate this part. So I'm super into Sailor Moon...which no one else is...and that's okay. I also really love Items, Escaflowne, Vampire Knight, Fushigi Yugi, Ah My Goddess, K Dramas, Chinese and Tiwanise Dramas as well. I torture people by making them read the TV.

Oh this is where I tell you I'm American...and I just lost a few people but oh well. Trust me if I could afford to live overseas I would. So yeah...that's me.

Ethan walked over to Marcus with the girls and grinning. “Hey Marcus good to know that you took the advice to heart and it made a difference. We should jam sometime. No pressure but I love it when other people do open mic. Marinalia you and Xia should get up there an do a trio with Marcus. I’ll grab us a table with Marcus’ lovely date and get something for us all my treat. Besides that will mean I get to brag to Victoria about how awesome you all were.”

Ethan turned to Marcus with a contrite expression. “Didn’t mean to steal your thunder that night Marcus.” Ethan then looked down at Marinalia his eyes filled with concern. Oh Marinalia saw something in the paper about you and Joel Nicolosi? Were you dating him before that pretty redhead. What was her name? Anyways I saw him with her the night of the club. Are they going out now? I knew him when he was in high school. I didn’t much care for him. He was a real player. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was playing you both.”

Siobhan curled her lip at Joel's question of Bradley the stalker being a fan. “Dear god I hope he is not a fan. But yes a stalker would be the right term for it. Considering that quite frequently I see his car or him lurking where it makes no sense. He was hanging around the park the other day when I went out to paint. Before the storm.” If Joel wasn’t worried about it why should she?

Dinner was perfect. Steak, rare, baked sweet potato, broccoli and a cappuccino for dessert. The silence was companionable and not forced or awkward at all. Siobhan looked up at Joel. “So I’m assuming that you had something in mind after dinner?”

Siobhan scrambled for her phone Alexandra had texted her close to twenty times and called her about the same amount. She winced as she read the texts of questioning where she was, why wasn’t she answering her phone, why she even had a phone if its on silent. Then it devolved into call me in an almost rapid fire succession. She’s gonna kill me…

Siobhan shot a quick text to her agent. <I’m out right now. What happened?> Immediately the phone buzzed in her hand. It was a call from Alex. “That would be my agent. She’s probably not happy with me since I put my phone on silent. Besides it’s probably about the museum. Hang on.” Siobhan cleared her throat.

She answered the phone just before it went to voicemail. “Hello Alex...Yes my phone’s been on silent...Really?...Yes I realize this isn’t quite the PR you were looking for...Agreed...Shot? By whom?...Yes I know Paige...I see. Donate it to the SCPD...Tomorrow? Brunch? God how early?...You’re serious?... Yes, yes I know...Tomorrow doesn’t work. I have a previous engagement...Namely my parents. You know Wednesdays are their day...You know the answer to that. Besides I think it’s time they meet Paige...Well do what you do best, smooth out the rough edges...I heard that, don’t think I didn’t...Goodnight Alex...Fine Thursday. Brunch. God awful 10 am. Yes, yes dressed nice...No jeans or leggings. I’m wearing the jacket. No getting around that. Nice negotiating with you, ya Nasi. Good night.” She ends the call and sighs. Siobhan fires off a text to Paige. <Just heard what happened at the museum. You okay? Wanna do lunch after the gym tomorrow? There are a few people I want you to meet.>

Siobhan then looks back over at Joel. “Well a really good friend of mine, Paige, shot someone at the museum during a private viewing that was set up by my agent for a few people. Apparently one of the paintings took fire. But Paige is fine.” She shakes her head. “Second person she’s had to kill in a few months and I’m worried that she’s on to something dangerous. I just hope her boyfriend Milo keeps her safe not that she can’t take care of herself but I worry.” She cuts her gaze to the table then back to Joel. “By the way good way to change topic but hardly an answer. So I’ll let you chew on that for a while. I did want to mention that if you see a pretentious jerk in the offing let me know. That would be Bradley. Who is comparable to the extra in Billy Joel’s Video Uptown Girl. He was saying stupid things about cars and I interjected and corrected him. He issued a challenge and has been haunting me. I only mention it because he mentioned you.”
I'd like to give it a shot.

Age: 26.
Appearance: (right now my laptop doesn't function with images. I'll get one Tuesday.)
Height: 6'3
Weight: 185lbs.
Likes: Being rogue, but not mad. Likes being free. That he's good with a blade & cutthroat things.
Dislikes: That other people who try cutthroat things do it wrong. They get lost in drugs and partying- you're supposed to do it alone by getting out of that area. That area is where the people who can't fight stick around. (So naturally they like him)
Zodiac Sign: monkey.
Special Talent: urban warfare. skateboarding.
Profession: Sebastian works at the restaurant and tavern "Riverview."
Bio/Personality: He grew up always wanting to be a warrior but the rules were pretty common in general, as it is for everyone on the planet. You can try, it wont be easy but if you do it right you wont be locked up for life- those are the arsonists and murderers routes. He wanted to be a street ninja. But with the T.V.s and stuff these days proclaiming mercenaries and executives Sebastian ended up a bit of a cross between a mercenary bravo and a outlaw biker. Atleast his clothing and manors of style, anyways.
He grew up in the United States of America- Illinois- Chicago. School was a no thang- he got fights with adults outside of school. Taught himself some swordsmanship, smokegrenade tactics and shadowboxing from a Brazilian mentor. Kicks, punches, how to take falls and how to keep the initiative. He also likes women. He's quite good at deducing them. He's also quite well versed in knowledge and anthropology (the study of humans/counseling excetra)

Finnlay MacTyre AKA Smoke Screen & Jocelyn Victoria Beatrice Harmon AKA Tonic

Location: Alistar's Hideout

Interaction: Each other

Finnlay was trying his absolute best to keep his anger in check and not go into fight mode at what he was hearing. He had felt his blood boil at hearing what had happened to Jocelyn and was worried by the fact that she was now a wanted felon. But what pissed him off the most was the idea that shield had been watching everyone in this room secretly. Not that it surprised him at all but then this “Former” agent tried to make it sound like they were any different from Hydra. As far as Finnlay was concerned they were the same thing with different names.

The next thing Finn knew the women known as Ave was slammed up against a wall by the demon and was being interrogated/ tortured. He wasn't sure what was going on but he could tell is was painful. Looking back up to the front trying to calm himself he saw Sling looking at him as if trying to figure out were he had seen him before. As he kept his eyes on Sling and the others in the room Finnlay felt Jocelyn's hand leave his and start to wards the demon and the Hydra agent. As she began looking back at him he began to instinctively reach for his pistols.

I glanced over at Finnlay as I finished healing Ava and giving Alistar the I-am-so-disappointed look. He was reaching for pistols. I know that look. Nope. I have had it with the blood around me. I have a headache and my spirit hurts. I absolutely need a recharge and Finn needs to calm down. I walk over to Finnlay and lean my head on his chest and whisper. “I need to rest and we need to talk about Boston and me moving in. Please tell me that offer is still on the table.”

Finnlay for a moment felt all the anger in him melt away as Jocelyn grabbed him. He let go of his grip on his pistols and decided to let it go for now. Looking down at her he could tell that she was extremely tired which he suspected must have been a side effect from her ability. “Of course go hálainn.” He said with a smile on his face. “Let's go sit you down for a bit.” after finishing he picked Jocelyn up bridal style and proceeded to walk out of the room as he gave one last glare back as if telling the people inside not to mess with him. He continued to walk until he found the lounge where he could lay Jocelyn down. After he had laid her down he placed a hand on her head. “Are you alright?”

I was not expecting him to scoop me up and carry me off but neither was I complaining. “Yes. Now. How about you? I know some of this is bothering you. Plus we need to get back to Boston soon. Work waits for no one.” I scoot over hoping he'll take the hint and sit or lay down with me.

Finnlay sat down next to Jocelyn and let out a heavy sigh. “I'm just trying to get my head around all this.” he placed both his hands on his forehead as he laid all his weight into them. “I mean in the other room there is a Hydra agent, a shield agent, and a fucking demon.” he just shook his head.

“Takes all kinds huh? We really don’t have room to talk though. I am exhausted and I need a bed. Tomorrow we need to talk about Boston...and us.” I can barely keep my eyes open and I roll toward Finnlay knowing he’ll take care of me.

“Aye we do.” He said in a low voice making sure not to disturb her as he knew she would be falling asleep. He continued to sit for a moment questioning whether or not to take her to a room but quickly realized he had no idea where that would be. Taking a last look at her he gave out a sigh and took off his jacket putting it over top of her to give her some kind of warmth.

I fell asleep quickly but woke up screaming and sweating. Nightmares again. I quickly take a deep breath. In through the nose out through the mouth. Damnit. Hydra. Weapon X. I shudder and roll my neck as I sit up fully still on the couch. I look around and decide to wander. Maybe I’ll find a kitchen or a bathroom. I don’t know the layout of this place at all. Guess I should have asked Alister about it before I walked off. Standing I realize my shoes are off and I’m running around barefoot. I shrug and stand up stretching.

Finnlay shot awake when he heard Jocelyn scream in her sleep. He had been sitting on the floor with his back pressed against the side of the couch that Jocelyne had been sleeping on. He had instinctively reached for his knife and listened for the sound of a intruder but was surprised to hear nothing. Looking around the corner of the arm he saw Jocelyn walking away in a sort of lost way. “The hell is wrong with her?” He thought to himself watching trying not to let her know he was awake.

After wandering for about five minutes I found a bathroom. Clean towels and soaps like it was a posh hotel. To be fully honest I found the bathroom in an empty room, like a hotel. I was already up so might as well look presentable or the bath would soothe me to sleep. Strange how nothing was locked but its not my house and I’m not questioning it. Running a nice bubble bath with hot water I kept the door cracked to hear in the other room. I’d gotten so used to it that it was second nature for me to think nothing of it by keeping the door open a little bit. I got ready as the bath got ready and slipped into the massive tub and sighed as I settled in.

Finnlay sat and listened to what Jocelyn was doing. To his surprise he could hear the running Water of what seemed to be a bathtub. Figuring she was fine he began to go to sleep again until he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. “Bloody hell this better good” he said to himself as he grabbed the phone answering it. He was surprised at who was on the other end.

“Aye Jimmy it’s me.”
“I know. I know.”
“Hey look the docks are taken care of. You won’t see them down there again, and if you do I will handle it again.”
“I need you to do me a favor. I’m gonna need a sit down with da kings as soon as I get back.”
“It’s a long story.”

With the door open I vaguely heard the one sided conversation. Finnlay must have followed me. Not that I minded. Well not fully...okay so I am not experienced at all. Which was understandable when you were afraid that you could kill someone by touching them. I looked at the massive amount of bubbles in the bath and I was pretty well covered up fully except for my head. “Finn? That is you isn’t it?”

“Yes it’s me. Sorry I was just making sure you ok.” He said as he covered his phone so the other side wouldn’t hear it. He then when very stiff at the realization that he had been having this conversation without realizing that he wasn’t in his own home. “Dammit it to hell!” He said under his breath holding she wouldn’t hear. “I’m sorry for disturbing you.” He finished by hanging up the phone as he began to walk back towards the couch.

I hear him shuffling around and I remember that I did not bring in my bag and of course now I want it. “Can you grab my bag? I really don’t want to have to walk around in dirty clothes or a towel. You might expire of a nose bleed if I do run around in a towel. You’d be doing yourself a favor...these towels are really small.” I grin since I am teasing him. The towels are no shorter than some of my shorts that I wear regularly.

I am really trying to get into the swing of not sounding as British as I normally so. Blunting the accent so to speak and using contractions at the very least. I tilt my head back getting my hair wet knowing that I will be washing it as soon as the bubbles go away.

Finnlay stopped at the sound of Jocelyn’s voice through the door. He laughed slightly “Don’t flatter yourself darling, but I will happily grab your bag.” he said heading over to where he had last seen her bag. Grabbing it swiftly he began to casually walk over to the bathroom. He knocked on the door once before entering. When he entered he did his best to keep his averted from where he thought Jocelyn would be standing. “I’ll just sit it on the counter for you.” After finally finding the counter after some work he said calmly “Is there anything else the lady would like?”

I laugh all humor set aside. “Yeah. I wanna stop running. I want to be normal. I don't want to think that I'd ever hurt people even by accident. I was so close-” I shake my head and clam up. I am not doing the whole mad scientist routine in front of Finn. “I'm going to wash my hair now so unless you're wanting to see more skin then you'd better wait in the other room.” I reach down for the mini shampoo bottle that I put on the floor next to the tub. There are still bubbles covering me but I can feel them slide off my back since I am leaning forward.

Finnlay stopped for a moment when he heard Jocelyn’s words. He could tell the sadness laced in the words. He wasn’t really sure what to say at the moment, he wasn’t usually the kind of person to talk about this sort of thing with people.

Being the gentleman he was, Finnlay made sure to walk out of the room and close the door making sure it was secure “As you wish my lady.” He said before leaving the closed door trying to leave a light hearted tone.

Siobhan put down the menu as Joel stated she needed ground rules. He then put his hand on her hip and slid her further away down the booth. She watched as he turned and put his back against the wall a smirk on his face. Then he rested a leg on the booth between them. The server returned and got their orders. Siobhan raised an eyebrow and barely kept from grinning. “Good to know you're afraid of me.”

She pushed his leg off the booth and scooted closer, but not too close, while he mixed the drinks together. “Interesting combination. Does it stay that way or does it emulsify? Cause if it stays that way that is pretty cool. Oh and I've been meaning to mention that I have an art show coming up. I have a comp ticket if you'd like to go. I know that it isn't your cup of tea but I thought I'd at least give you the chance to turn it down.” She smirked at that last statement. She'd prefer to give him a private showing to pay attention to his reactions anyway.

She'd always done private showings for her parents whenever they flew in and she liked seeing people's reactions to her work, especially if they were important to her. Public showings didn't give her as much of a chance to see reactions. Alexandria wanted her to mingle which would mean that anyone with her would have to as well and she didn't want to put Joel in that position if she had to. It was his choice but she'd lay it out for him if he wanted to go. He had as much dislike for the snobs as she did, but they paid well. Though the piece she did of Apex Designs was not for sale.

That was a gift for Joel. It was the only piece that had people in it. His normal band of older gentlemen laughing and talking in the foreground with the doors open and everyone having a great time. It reminded her of the first time she saw the place. She'd done some portraits, for free of course, of the regulars telling them that they couldn't say anything about it till he got his gift. Then they could have a field day with talking about it. They all wanted to pay her but she wasn't having it.

Brought back to reality as the waiter updated them on their order and asked if they needed anything Siobhan looked back at Joel in query.

Siobhan snapped her head back around at Joel as he mentioned donating the prize to kids. How in the world am I supposed to not trip and fall for him if he makes statements like that? Siobhan smiled at him as he opened her door and steadied her against the slick spot in the parking lot. “You’re right about donating the tickets we really won’t have any time.”

The restaurant was perfect. Clean and unassuming and smelled fantastic. Mouthwateringly fantastic and pleasantly warm. Shedding her jacket that Joel had given her to reveal the black long sleeved under armor and the Misfits t-shirt she was sporting with the fleece lined black leggings; that she had multiple pairs of, and gently broken in red hightop converse she didn’t feel over or under dressed in. She folded the jacket neatly and sat next to Joel in the booth. I’m sitting here deal with it. She glanced at the menu and put it aside just after he did. He mentioned something about Jamaica and Siobhan looked up quizzically as if to say “I knew that already”. Then he asked her if she wanted to go with him or hang out here. As if she’d turn down Jamaica.

“So they were smart and put you on for the next race. Good. I’d love to go. I haven’t been there before but I’ve seen pictures and I’ve heard the food is amazing. Not to mention that I’d get a ton of material for more paintings. Plus I get to support you. Oh and the cars!! Are you sure you want to take me with you? And just what does that entail? We’d need some restrictions and lines drawn for this kind of get away. For all I know you turn into a cephalopod and try to reenact scenes from Urotsukidōji. Akemi I am not...well not entirely...mostly...you get the point.” She was blushing so hard she grabbed the menu and looked it over again.

Ethan hung up the phone grimacing. Sit and wait. Sit and wait. That is all he was getting from them. Monotony was getting boring but it was needed. He was too bottled up. Drew was about the only one who could deal with being snowed in or the winter months that kept one inside for fear that something would freeze off. Drew had asked him earlier why he was even still here since the others had gone out, or in the case of Paul still with the couple that he’d gone home with on Thursday. To each his own. Ethan grabbed the keys to the Camaro and went to the Swan Songs music store.

Getting there and parking he got out. He really didn’t know why he was here but living like a recluse didn’t appeal to him. It never had. What he was really hoping for was something to take his mind off the phone call earlier. Having an ear to the ground couldn’t hurt and being seen in public was always a plus. It all just seemed so dull sometimes. Unless of course a pretty little thing fell in your lap, or offered to keep you warm in a blizzard. Walking into the music store he saw a couple of people he recognized. Marinalia, Victoria’s sister, and Marcus. It had been a while and he wasn’t surprised to see Marcus here but Marinalia, that was interesting. She seemed rather close to the girl that she was with. Like Take Me or Leave Me from Rent close. Now that is interesting. I wonder if she’s as quick with her romantic partners as her sister. And isn’t she the one that the tabloid gossip monger pitted her with Joel and his attractive little artist...Siobhan? Hummm...maybe not a wasted trip after all. Maybe I should have gone to her prescreening. But sending Giovanni got him out of my hair. Besides he appreciates art and needed some time off. Wonder if Miss Marinalia can divulge anything to mess with Joel with or if I’ll just have to come up with something on my own.

Ethan sauntered over to Marinalia and her companion. “Hello ladies. In the market for new vinyls for your collection or here to hear some of the locals? Good to see that you’re right as rain Marinalia. Who’s your friend?” He didn’t even try to make his voice sound less arresting than it normally was. Curiosity got the better of him and he sincerely hoped that Marinalia was no worse for her foray in lockup. His posture was non-threatening and openly friendly the smile on his face genuine.
