Kazakiri(剪断Wind Shear): Kazakiri is the first of techniques that Shizu learned from Kakegoe. It’s also the most basic of techniques she knows. Either by motioning Kakegoe horizontally or vertically, it will send invisible reiatsu flying outward that will manipulate the atmosphere to cause an increase of wind speed. Regardless if she motions Kakegoe vertically or horizontally, it will have the same effect: A right angle-shaped arc of lightning and high wind currents will begin to form in a 3m area. Within that area, random strikes of lightning are bound to happen to any and all in that area of effect. Those outside are still suspect to minor shock and/or wind damage. Additionally, minor wind blades will form after a certain amount of time has passed. It should be noted that this technique, while able to be used at any given moment, is definitely her weakest of abiltiies. As such, it should be expected that the max amount of damage one takes is not equal to that of a lieutenent-level attack.
Jōshō Kiryū(上昇気流Rising Air Current):.
By utilizing the clouds above, Shizu is able to manipulate it with her reiatsu to cause a vertical
updraft of hot or cool air down upon a target of her choosing. Since it’s more controlled than Kazakiri, she can dictate who or what she motions Kakegoe to strike. When she swings upward, the hot and cold air is gathered, and surrounds Shizu, flowing down around the blue aura of Kakegoe. Shizu knows when the preparation is complete by when she gets a feeling of both stress and comfort.
Kakō kiryū (下降気流Rising Air Current):
When Shizu swings downward, the hot and cold air gathered around Kakegoe releases in an arc of semi-transparent reiatsu that is half-light blue, half-crimson. The arc aims at whoever is in the direct line of sight of Kakegoe’s tip. Upon contact, there will be a two-part effect. The first will be a strong sensation of heat flowing through their body, momentarily rendering them immobilized by it, then comes the chill. The shift from hot to cold happens in a matter of seconds. Due to that, it will have disastrous effects on whoever is struck.
Throughout all of this, there is one underlying limit to how strong the sensations of heat and cold are: Shizu’s one mental state at the time of using this technique. Assuming she is even and completely calm, the effects will be at half-strength of maximum potency. That, of course, would only give half as much the feverish sensation as it would the cold chill. Now, given that Shizu is in a melancholy state, the hot air will have little to no effect on the target, but the cold chill is another story. The same could be said if she was in a vivid rage. The hot air, much like fire, is of passion. And when she would be passionate with anger, the hot air will be at maximum potency, while the cold air will be as if a mild gust of icy wind past through - felt, but easily shrugged off.
Despite that all, however, whether there is maximum hot air potency or cold air, it will be for nothing if Shizu could bring herself to utilizing it at full power. For her to this, she must be willing to yield herself to Kakegoe’s will, something, even as her master, she hasn’t been able to do for quite some time. Not since the coup happened.
Hiyazemen(冷前面Cold Front): Considered to be Kakegoe’s most powerful - and most dangeorus - shikai ability, Hiyazemen is aa technique in which requires Shizu to focus her reiryoku into the atmosphere surrounding her, and dropping the temperature to below freezing temperatures(0 degrees Celsius, 32 Degrees Fahrenheit). Once this is accomplished, pure white mist flows from the hilt and up of Kakegoe’s blade at high speeds, and surrounds the surrounding environment in a 3m-6m radius with Shizu at the very edge of it and her intended target at the center. Then, as Shizu stabs Kakegoe into the ground, her reiatsu is felt as the mist starts to solidify around both Shizu and her target. It gets to the point where they are both inside a dome of ice, reinforced by Shizu’s own spiritual power.
Once secured, Shzu will then raise Kakegoe into the air, letting Kakegoe herself float into the air, and spin around until the sight of her blade is nothing but a rotating, blade of blue reiatsu. As Kakegoe increases the velocity of her spinning, icy winds stard to develop, gathering around her. By Shizu’s command, a mini-tornado, blue and white in color, appears with Kakegoe in the dead center. It’s not a tall tornado; it’s as high as Shizu stands. When Shizu places her hand forward, the tornado unleashes a series of freezing gusts of air, continuous and ever-flowing.
It should be noted it’s in the incomplete phases. Shizu has not fully mastered it. As such, using it, while it may have negative effects for whoever is caught within its radius, will have the worst effects done directly to Shizu. Among the obvious lack of control she would have over it, it will undoubtedly deplete her reiryoku drastically, not to mention that frostbite is an unavoidable side effect too. Additionally, due to lack of mastery, the maximum power at which Hiyazeman can be utilized is ten percent shy of half-maximum power. The longer the dome remains in effect and the more gusts of cold air is shot at her target, the frostbite will start to increase until the point focus cannot remain. Should Shizu lose more than half of her focus, or if Kakegoe suspects it’s too much for her, she will cut off the technique immediately, and return to her sealed form.
