Alright, so... anyone have any thoughts over the meeting or what our game plan OoC is? I know that Zeki has hinted toward us splitting into two parties and some ideas were talked about in the chat, but does everyone know which group they aim to go with? Personally, I think we might want to get that sorted while we're waiting for Yosh and Myke to get their posts up so we're ready when it happens, saving a bit of time and also because I like lists to keep track of details. :P

And no worries mate. JAckson is a pretty common first name, so I'm not surprised that someone else would use it. xD Thankfully, there are loopholes of nicknames when it comes to names that are shared between different characters. Like, for example, one could be called "Jackson" and the other "Jax". Or JB or simply Jack. It's pretty flexible. If it comes to it, I can always think of another name for my boy. Since you were the first one, I have no problem doing that. :)

It’s hard to place if Jackson is a slob intentionally or does it unknowingly. The fact remains that, despite awareness or not, Jackson looks, acts, and more importantly, presents himself as a slob. His strawberry blonde hair is often unkempt. He sees washing it daily and tidying it up as a chore. He has much more important things to do, like sleeping or eating food. Because of that, you will often see him with messy hair. Odds are that, when you see him strolling through the streets of Verona, backpacking through The Wilderness, or just doing whatever the frick that Jackson Drake wants to do, you’ll see his hair be an utter and complete mess. Only on a rare occasion will you see this juvenile with combed hair. And that’s only in those instances when he’s trying to impress someone who has caught his eye. Speaking of eyes, Jackson’s are some weird brown, blue mix.

Despite how active he could be and how much he likes to walk, Jackson doesn’t maintain a healthy diet long enough for it to make any difference. If you were to ask him, he’d probably something like, “I might work out, but I enjoy food too much.” So, based off of that by itself, it wouldn’t be hard to give an estimation of why Jackson never achieved anything passed a low lean build. His body isn’t to the point of emo skinny; that’s reserved for his other family members. But don’t count on seeing Jackson flex for you. He won’t do it. And what’s more on that, he doesn’t have anything to show. He’s a person of above-average height and average weight too. They are respectively 5’11 and 150lbs. Pretty much the opposite of a bodybuilder.

Inside Jackson’s closet are the clothes of someone who doesn’t know how to diversify his fashion sense. Too many shirts that are a mix of band merch, video game merch, anime merch, and generic skater logos. And his pants seem to not know the meaning of bright colors, or anything other than blue and black. Seriously, just look at it! A decent amount of jeans and shorts, but they all look like someone pulled a bruised face, and plastered them over some jeans. You would think with how his mother made her living in her youth that he would have at least some grasp on color variety. But nope, there is nothing to be had with Jackson. At least his style is his own. When someone hears about a little pest named dressed in blue jeans and wearing some fandom-related merch, it’s ninety-nine percent likely that it’s Jackson Drake.

Jackson doesn’t pretend to know shit that he doesn’t. If he does know about something, he’ll show rather than tell you. That’s who Jackson Drake is: a man of action. Call him simple-minded, a retard, or whatever - the fact remains that Jackson has never changed, and if you were to ask him if he would ever, he won’t ever change that side of him.

Interactions with Jackson are always a wild card. You might get something decent. Maybe he’ll greet you with a cheek-to-cheek grin that will show you his sometimes-happy-go-lucky personality, but you might also get the easily-angered side where any and all obscenities exit from his two lips. Don’t try and tell him that he can’t do something. It’ll either increase his rage or make him more determined to do that something that he’s told not to do. He’s determined in that way. Or stubborn. It just depends on how you choose to look at it. Regardless which it is, however, it cannot be ignored that Jackson will do all that the can to whatever he has set his mind to. Once he has set his mind on a goal, no matter how impossible it might be, he will always put his entire being into it. Just call him a high goals kind of guy.

Call it cliche, but the fact remains that he would do anything for his friends and family, friends and family of his friends and family. If they are connected to those he holds a deep admiration and love for, Jackson will do what he can to protect them. Before the incident, that would have been simply using his fists and feet to do the talking. But with recent happenings within his surroundings, Jackson has considered other means. But, he’ll wait until he has a better grasp of said means. Until then, if you even dare try to go after those he cherishes above all else, you will meet your doom at the delivery of The Jackson.

Jackson Drake doesn’t believe in labels. It doesn’t suit him. That being said, he does have eyes for the female gender. He’s not shy about that. What do you get when you cross a second-generation mechanic with a long-term waitress at the local diner? The two modest wage-earning parents of one reckless-abandon, hard-headed, skating-enthusiast, Jackson Torvald Drake.

His life began at the DRake Residence when little Jackson was met his parents, Leonidas Ethan Drake and Riley Johanna Drake, for the first time. His father is a second-generation mechanic who runs his business own business that he calls The Drake Autoshop. Riley waits tables at The Salem Diner. She has done it for over ten years. Though she could have gotten promoted, she likes the position she’s at. It gives her time to spend with her two children, her oldest Jackson Drake, and his sister just one year younger than him, Jade Riley Drake.

Growing up in Verona, Jackson really had to make do with what he was given. Thankfully, his nerd pride and skating ventures kept him busy. With the local skakepark being the only one in New Town and Verona as a whole, that’s where he spent most of his time. With his handy board, The Mighty Atlas, Jackson would make sure he was there all that he could. If he wasn’t at school or at his part-time job serving coffee at Simone’s, then Jackson was at the skatepark. It was his home away from home. And being the kind of guy that has built a reputation of being, not a lot of people were willing to hang out with him. In fact, Jackson’s reputation around Verona is being the kind of guy that’s impulsive, doesn’t think before acting, and among other things, a bit of a hothead. Nothing pretty and attractive about him aside from his eyes(that’s what he’s told, anyways).

Jackson just recently turned eighteen. And by “recently”, that means in the year of 2016. A lot of good has happened this year. And a lot of bad has happened, too. The good? JAckson may have actually wormed his way into his crush’s line of sight. The bad? She doesn’t know his name, or the fact that he’s crushing on her. Oh and there was that thing that happened at the skate park just a couple of days ago.Yeah, it was really weird. There was Jackson, kicking it with his homedogs, right? And out of nowhere, he got this massive headache that came at the wrong time: he was in the process of doing a backflip on his board. Safe to say he lost his control, and wiped out big time on the concrete, face-first. But that wasn’t the end of it. When Jackson would get up, dripping crimson blood from a small gash on the side of his face, he felt hot suddenly. Like really hot. It was almost to the point of a high fever. Next thing he knew, Jackson lost his footing, and was face-first again. He was slipping in and out of consciousness for a few moments, and simply lost his battle.

And that was three days ago. Jackson was down for three days. A full seventy-two hours passed, and he had finally regained consciousness as he lay in his own bed. When he looked around his usually untidy room, he was confused because he didn't know how he got here. Or maybe he did. JAckson was among his friends and had collapsed. Plus, when he had felt around his face, there was a bandage. So, that's obviously from the cut he experienced prior to getting that weird headache and fever(?).

For the rest of that day, Jackson tried to do as he normally would: eat some breakfast, say hello to his family, and try not to get annoyed by them.

Jackson’s powers first manifested as a hallucination. He saw himself surrounded by fire, as if it was kissing his entire form, as if it was a part of him. However, this was not what Jackson first experience with them was. His first experience was when he woke up three days later, and he went to go reach for his phone. As his hand gripped it, the phone overheated to a degree where the battery had exploded, and caused the entire phone to be charred worse than charcoal. Even Jackson doesn’t quite understand what had happened to him. One minute he was experiencing a hallucination and the next - and several hours in-between - he somehow was able to get to the point where he can overheat his phone with a single touch? What else could he be capable of?

Well, if what Jackson saw in that brief moment before he passed out three days prior to getting these powers was correct, there might come a day that it could be much more than a simply burst of overheating an electronic. He might actually be able to control that to the point where he can channel the heat around him,and manifest it into physical form. Maybe even do more than generate heat. Who knows? Maybe, within time, Jackson will be able to become a flying, fiery badass with a plethora of capabilities. But as it stands now, overheating things seem to be the maximum he’s able to do.

Jackson has no earthly idea what his weaknesses are. Understandably, there’s something logical about physical exhaustion about using an ability you just came to know about. Adding to that, it has to deal with heat of sorts, so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if, oh let’s say comes into contact with water, it might be rendered useless. Cause you know, water and heat/fire doesn’t mix well. And it’s probably not going ot be as strong as it was to Jackson’s phone. The fact that he was able to blow his phone up was probably one of those “Okay what was that?!”-type of scenarios. Odds are that Jackson won’t be able to do that again and on command no less. It might take some time to get it down, let alone master it. It’s all about baby steps, bro..

It’s hard to place if Jackson is a slob intentionally or does it unknowingly. The fact remains that, despite awareness or not, Jackson looks, acts, and more importantly, presents himself as a slob. His strawberry blonde hair is often unkempt. He sees washing it daily and tidying it up as a chore. He has much more important things to do, like sleeping or eating food. Because of that, you will often see him with messy hair. Odds are that, when you see him strolling through the streets of Verona, backpacking through The Wilderness, or just doing whatever the frick that Jackson Drake wants to do, you’ll see his hair be an utter and complete mess. Only on a rare occasion will you see this juvenile with combed hair. And that’s only in those instances when he’s trying to impress someone who has caught his eye. Speaking of eyes, Jackson’s are some weird brown, blue mix.

Despite how active he could be and how much he likes to walk, Jackson doesn’t maintain a healthy diet long enough for it to make any difference. If you were to ask him, he’d probably something like, “I might work out, but I enjoy food too much.” So, based off of that by itself, it wouldn’t be hard to give an estimation of why Jackson never achieved anything passed a low lean build. His body isn’t to the point of emo skinny; that’s reserved for his other family members. But don’t count on seeing Jackson flex for you. He won’t do it. And what’s more on that, he doesn’t have anything to show. He’s a person of above-average height and average weight too. They are respectively 5’11 and 150lbs. Pretty much the opposite of a bodybuilder.

Inside Jackson’s closet are the clothes of someone who doesn’t know how to diversify his fashion sense. Too many shirts that are a mix of band merch, video game merch, anime merch, and generic skater logos. And his pants seem to not know the meaning of bright colors, or anything other than blue and black. Seriously, just look at it! A decent amount of jeans and shorts, but they all look like someone pulled a bruised face, and plastered them over some jeans. You would think with how his mother made her living in her youth that he would have at least some grasp on color variety. But nope, there is nothing to be had with Jackson. At least his style is his own. When someone hears about a little pest named dressed in blue jeans and wearing some fandom-related merch, it’s ninety-nine percent likely that it’s Jackson Drake.

● P E R S O N A L I T Y ●

Jackson is a man of passion. He’s a hot-headed mess with horrible sense of direction. And he’s thick as all hell. Not very bright either. There are few redeeming, intelligent qualities about Jackson. But he tries to make up for it. He wants to show people that he’s not just foolhardy. He wants them to see his passion. Whether it's through his action to show those that doubt him not to do that or if it’s putting in extra effort in whatever he does. One thing you can count on Jackson is that he's a man that refuses to give up. Perhaps this is tied to his stubbornness. He will never ever bow out unless he is physically unable to.

Jackson is vocal. His bravado knows no bounds. He doesn’t exactly adhere to subtlety, and picking up on sarcasm has never been one of his strengths. Despite that, he says what feels and feels what says. Some say that he has an aggressive nature, often unpredictable and explosive. What could Jackson say about that? He just can't contain himself. He's a man that's blessed with an explosive curse.

● R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S ●

Jackson Drake doesn’t believe in labels. It doesn’t suit him. That being said, he does have eyes for the female gender. He’s not shy about that. But again, he won’t label himself heterosexual or pansexual or anything with -sexual at the end of it. That just isn’t how he rolls. Again, with that being said, for what he looks in someone is to be absolutely chill. He can’t have someone overreacting over something he might say or do. God-forbid they cry because he got his ass kicked by the resident bad boy, or they get angry because he might’ve said something about how he never makes wise life decisions.

That’s the dream, at least. Jackson would indeed like someone as perfect as that, but he knows that life isn’t a fairy tale. This isn’t some Disney movie or RomCom. He knows that someone like that doesn’t notice someone like him. So Jackson doesn’t spend time hopelessly fantasizing about it. Still, a person who could see beyond the rough exterior wouldn’t be so bad. If they could just look at the man behind the front he may or may not do for show, then that wouldn’t be so bad.

If only, right?

● O R I G I N S T O R Y ●

The first third of Jackson’s life was spent in Seattle, Washington. Then, after a death in his family, his parents, Leonidas Theodore Drake and Riley Johanna Drake, with his sister Jade Riley Drake, packed up what they could, and relocated to Verona. After spending a few months going from apartment to apartment, Leo’s auto repair shop took off. That allowed them to move into a decent house in New Town. It wasn’t far from the schools and where Riley found work, which was The Salem Diner, where she is a waitress.

Spending the rest of his adolescent and upcoming teen years in Verona, Jackson was one of those boys who discarded safety and opted for recklessness. Over the course of his preteens, Jackson was high on energy. He got into more physical altercations than he did verbal ones.He didn’t know how to walk away. And maybe that’s what his main problem was. All of that pent-up energy with no idea how to use it positively. It was then, by the time Jackson was thirteen, he was put into some off-the-record boxing classes by a neighbor.

Over the course of the next couple of years, Jackson learned some valuable lessons from that neighbor. He was taught how to properly punch and when the right moment was to walk away.. He found that he really enjoyed boxing. Not just the hitting, but the sport itself. It gave him an outlet that wasn’t some poor kid’s face.. Granted, he gained other hobbies like skateboarding and working on cars.

When he turned eighteen, Jackson had given up on Boxing, feeling that he didn’t need it anymore. Instead, he focused on skating at the nearby skatepark, and working part-time at Drake Automobile Repair, which brought him great joy in doing. It brought a sense of purpose to his life.

Jackson felt weird. He experienced it first-hand when he was working on a car for one his father’s clients. It began with a headache, which Jackson wasn’t a stranger to. Working in a auto repair shop, those were bound to happen. But, as he would continue working on it, Jackson started to feel weak, almost as if nauseous.

When Jackson proceeded one pace forward, his head hit the car, making a small dent into the front bumper, and landed face-first onto the cold, concrete floor. His father, who was just a few paces away, heard and saw him. He rushed over as soon as his legs would allow.

Over the span of the next three days, Jackson would occasionally wake up in his room. He had a bad cough and had a killer headache. When the second day came to an end, Jackson had taken a turn for the worse: his headache was twice as painful and his nose was bleeding, to which his family had him on his side. That seemed to help. There was nothing that they could do aside from praying that he would get better.

The third day had came, and something miraculous happened: Jackson was up and walking, completely without the symptoms of the illness. He had no headache, no dizziness, not even that feeling of nausea. At some point during that day, Jackson had went near some open flame. In his case, it was the flame from the stovetop. In front of that, something bizarre happened. Jackson placed his hand over the flame, and it responded to it. The flame rose as Jackson had pulled his hand away. It didn’t seem normal, which was obvious. Jackson would simply ignore that for the time being, and get to making his sandwich because he was starving, and he was holding up the line in their small kitchen.

“Okay, ass flowers, this is the end of The Jackson Road Trip! Please don’t let the door hit you where the good lord decided to split you.”

• Only of of his three capabilities can be used and there is a small time window in-between each use before he can use it again.
• Extended use of his ability will result in automatic fatigue, and possibly the inability to use it for a short amount of time.
• While heat resistance is a given, complete immunity is not. Jackson will get hurt by fire.
• If any existing source is doused in water, Jackson will be useless. Period.
