Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

I will never show empathy for a bigot or a man who believed empathy is a made up term. Simple as that.

It wasn’t like Jaakuna was going to sign off on giving up anyway. As far as he was concerned, he sided with Shizuka on the matter of the button. No matter how tempting it was to take the easy way out, only quitters and people who were depressed beyond any professional help chose that route. If they were going to do this, regardless how difficult it might be, they were going to do it as a team. Get good or die trying.

So with that out of the way, they had one of two options laid out in front of them. Option number one was to wait the duration of the hourglass out and find out what happens after that. That certainly was the less-abrasive route to go. Jaakuna couldn’t lie to himself and say he wasn’t curious about what would happen should they not break down the door. But, like pressing the button, it was too big of a temptation and crossed too far into the Land of Quitters. So, should they put that up to a vote, Jaakuna would vote nay.

And then there was option two of finding alternative means to bust down that sturdy, metal door. He doubted either of them had an acid release. Would it have come in handy? Without question, but Jaakuna wasn't about the second-guessing life. He had to look ahead, though to do that, he had to look to the left of him towards the Artist Known as Kiku. She must be a genius or something because she thought of an idea that Jaakuna wanted to bring up but on self-appointed Senju Senpai’s orders, he wasn’t going to blaze up the joint. Yet, they were running out of options.

Now that’s why I like you, Artist Known as Kiku!” Jaakuna grinned cheek-to-cheek, pounding his fists together. “Let’s see if I can make time stop for fire.” Jaakuna stepped forward. He looked at the metal door for a long minute. As he was about to blaze up, he stopped, then looked at his team. “Actually, I can’t melt it. But I can heat it up.” Jaakuna pointed out, emphasizing that last bit. “So yeah, I can do what I can but I’m not a fucking fire god, though that does have a ring to it.” Jaakuna was now entertaining the thought of being a god. Sure sounded better than Sundance Kid.

As if it wasn’t already obvious, Jaakuna was practically useless in this situation. He couldn’t use Katon on account of it requiring him to use the little oxygen that was available to the team. Additionally, fire wasn’t necessarily helpful at the moment. That would be supported when Kurin dropped the bomb about water style being preferred for this particular situation. Given that Jaakuna’s chakra natures weren’t anything close to that, it meant he couldn’t exactly help the cause. The best he could do was try not to get killed by anything that might come their way. Thankfully, the worst thing that seemed to be present was the increasing tremors and little earth pebbles.

And when Kurin would state the obvious about worms, they had returned to square one. “That’s all fine and dandy, but how exactly are we going to get this worm here? I’m not sure if you realize this, but we’re not necessarily outside. Unless one of y’all got a rain jutsu ready to use, we’re gonna need an alternate strategy.

@Inkarnate Never too late to do it the right way.
"Keiran told you this?"

Wesley pondered on that thought, placing his thumb against his lip. He bit on it and thought long and hard. If Keiran put the thought into her mind that she might be pregnant, then maybe she wasn't? Or she was and he was doing nothing at all. Keiran lived to cause confusion for anyone. Making everyone play against each other and causing trouble everywhere he went. It happened with Emiri, then Jaakuna, and now he was doing it to Nadeline and Wesley. It didn't matter to him that he was somewhat forgiven, he kept persisting in these games. Keiran was too much like Zodiark. He thought no one caught onto his games. He thought that he was tied to Emiri that he couldn't be hurt. He thought that just because Jaakuna had hurt him once and in turn hurt Emiri that he was untouchable.

But what he failed to realize was that only a Spawn can hurt another Spawn.

Wesley dug into that part of him that was Zodiark. If it was true, then what he was about to do would work. If not, then it was useless.

Reaching deep into the dark essence of his soul, Wesley felt Fandaniel's soul coming through. Even if for a brief moment, his eyes flashed green. Wherever Keiran was--wherever he was plotting from--not only would Wesley know where he was, but anything he had in mind would be halted immediately. Keiran would feel it as his entire body would feel a number of things. First, a sharp pain would course through his body. Then, though it would take a few moments longer than he intended, Keiran would be force-summoned into Emiri's room.

"We know what you have done," Wesley stated coldly.

As soon as she was done with her initial reaction to him revealing her face to Ava and how she would threaten him with this and threaten him with that, Alexandros simply waited for her to register what his sister had said: there was food downstairs. Even though he didn’t know her as well as he would like to(it’s still a work in progress), he knew women. And after a woman had their fill of him, they liked to ransack his food supply. It was like a morning-after ritual at Casa Mossos.

So, when she finally calmed down, though her reaction to Viola was interesting. He shrugged at it, of course, but it was interesting all the same. When she name dropped Janice, Alexandros wouldn’t react at all. He knew that one wouldn’t go unscaved. Her finding out about Janice was him being careless. Didn’t seem to be a problem anymore since he got what he wanted from Audrey and intended to keep getting it as many times as he wanted. As for that young Bianca Salazar, it was what it was. He used her to get Audrey’s attention. An ends to a means.

When Alexandros would start to head towards the door, he noticed Audrey took a beeline for the bathroom. Only was it a moment later did he realize what she had to do. Sighing, he went on his way downstairs to join his siblings for a decently-prepared meal. It actually did seem to be quite the feast. Nothing too glamorous but it certainly was not bad. There was a mixture of traditional Greek and Italian items as well as some American comforts like pancakes and french toast. Potatoes were on the table, as well as some bacon. Coffee was already prepared in two cups. Black, of course, Sugar and cream were set beside each cup.

Morning Georgie,” Alexandros gave a small smile to his brother who returned it was a wide grin, almost chuckling.

He took a seat across from Ava who sat next to Georgie. As always, his younger brother was lively with a smile. Honestly, he was the only one of the four Mossos children that were always chipper. It always was a mystery to Alexandros how his brother, given the attitude that runs in the Mossos genes, could not only be always happy but he also never displayed the common arrogance, however, varied it might be among each Mossos, once in all the time they’ve been alive. It was almost as if the concept of arrogance or being egotistical was foreign to him. Perhaps it was for the best, then. At least one of them had to be pure.

Sleep well, Alexy?” Georgi asked, wanting to start off the conversation.

Alexandros shrugged. “I didn’t do much sleeping.

As Georgie was, he let out a rather exaggerated gasp.

Calm it down there. It’s far too early for that shit,” Ava warned Georgie not to start with his theatrics before she could have her coffee.

But, what could you have been doing--

As if on cue, Georgie noticed Audrey come in. “Whoa! Alex, that’s Audrey Huntsberg!” Georgie let out a squeal of delight, getting up and approaching her. “I know you get this a lot, but you are simply amazing. I have watched all of the videos of your dances on Youtube.” Georgie, though he probably didn’t intend to, he was hugging her with a surprising amount of force; though not enough to cause any harm - just really tight.

Both Alexandros and Ava sighed, shaking their head. “Georgie, let the woman breathe. You can fangirl out once she’s a little alert.” Ava told him.

In that, Georgie would return to his seat and let Audrey get adjusted.

Chimicumma
The long silence from when he had spotted her and asked his beloved what she heard to the moment she spoke was a killer. Wesley thought that maybe she didn’t hear anything and she was just confused about why Wesley was meeting with Emiri in secret. Alternatively, she could’ve heard every last bit and she was finding it difficult to process. It could’ve been a number of things--none of which were favorable in his humble opinion. However, as soon as she would open her mouth, it became obvious to the Dalmascan prince that something was terribly wrong. It was in the way she spoke and how frantic she was acting.

But what could it be?

Listening to her intently with a partial reason for not wanting to miss any of it and the rest being of intrigue as to why she was acting this way, Wesley became more convinced--if not fully already--that she had heard nothing of there being a high chance of him being Fandaniel. Instead, she seemed to only hear what he told Emiri about wanting to leave the castle. Though, while that mystery was solved, it still didn’t explain why she was acting the way that she was and saying the things that she said. As a man who wanted to understand it all, she was puzzling him. Even Emiri would try to get her to see to reason. However, that fell on deaf ears.

And when she amped up her tone, Wesley saw Nadeline go to her knees as she started to sob hysterically into his lap as she pleaded with him not to leave. Hearing her words, Wesley knew exactly what was happening. Knowing her so well and knowing how observant he was to certain things, Wesley wasn’t like most men. He had read and experienced so much that Wesley understood what was happening. Though, if the gods forgive him for his silence in the moment, this took him by surprise.

I see,” Wesley said, patting Nadeline’s back to comfort her.

He looked to Emiri, who at this point was unsure what was happening. He gave her an assuring smile, though he shook his head at her. Without saying anything, it was enough. He knew she wanted him to tell her the truth. Had she been in any other state, then perhaps he would’ve, but she was upset enough. If he were to add to her unrest, he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself. Besides, he was just reminded of something important. What separated him from all other Zodiark Spawn. Even if he was the Protector, he was still Wesley Alexander of Dalmasca.

How could I have been so blind and not noticed it?” Wesley seemed to be questioning himself rather than Nadeline. Once she would raise her head to him, doubtless with puffy eyes, he smiled gently at her, giving her a comforting kiss. “My fiance bears me a child.

Well, how about that? I actually ended posting before sleeping. Imagine that?

Anna "high as a kite" Arnette @Aewin, That one Asian Guy @Grim327, Special Snowflake Girl @Melo, Not even gonna remember your names @Dirty Pretty Lies.

Why is she apologizing if I was the one who bumped into her?

Ava truly became confused in that moment. First of all, the blonde was way too chipper for her own good. If she could turn it down a peg or five, that would swell. Secondly, how in the hell did she have this much energy for someone who nearly tumbled over due to Ava’s klutzy ass? There was no one in existence ever that would automatically forget getting knocked over, let alone happily state their name and the names of their friends. Unless they were high on something. Yeah, that was it. Anna was high. Lastly, which was probably the most important, there was no way in hell--real or otherwise--Ava was going to remember all of their names.

Well, maybe the Asian-looking guy. He had a simple name. The one named Ophelia. That was quite the unique name. And of course Anna. She was hard not to remember. In Ava’s mind, she will forever be the girl that apologized to Ava when Ava was the one who almost knocked her over. That, if nothing else, makes a lasting impression.

Staring at the lot, Ava felt like the odd woman out. These people were obviously close. How in the blue balls of a Mossos male was she going to not feel awkward?

So…” Ava scratched her head, trying to think of something to say. Really, anything would do. Just say words. “This sure is a fancy party. Is it usually like this in New York?
