Bio

Guess I should write this thing, huh?

It's me, Citrus Arms. I'm 32 now, married, an aspiring indie game dev, as well as a hobbyist writer. Well, who here isn't one of those. I've been meaning to write a book, but that's a big project and I've yet to finish more than a chapter and a prologue. Plotting a whole book is hard work, man.

I'm open to 1x1s and group RPs, feel free to invite me to something. I'm also part of a discord RP server of an old friend.

My favorite genres are fantasy and space, and I've got an original Universe that blends the two together. It's a post-apocalypse galaxy on the way to recovery, so there's everything from straight fantasy worlds to post-apocalypse survival available within the setting. The universe recovers and grows stronger with unity and inner strength.

Lumina Lusteria, the Lustrous

Mortal eyes...? What a strange thing to say.

Her new friends expressed a need for her to go with them. Well, it made sense. She'd probably have to give a report to their coordinator, given her involvement in their operation. Hey, if money was something she needed here, maybe she should get paid. It felt weird to ask for payment for something she would have done anyway, though.

They led her to a grand cathedral, where they were to meet with their boss, another mage. She listened through the man's debriefing, which ended with the question of who she was. "I can answer your questions, sire. I can only guess that the people inside the warehouse started burning things in response to one of their companions, coming down through the roof, as the result of a fight outside. As for myself..."

"Lumina Lusteria." She offered a bow, "in my homeland, I hold the title of 'the Lustrous'. The seers of my homeland have sent me here on a mission. They have foreseen a terrible event in a far off land, one that inspired them with great fear. I have come here in search of the source of those fears, in hopes that I might allay them. Tell me, have the been any... omens, of late?"
Arg, I keep waffling over how I want my post to go. I had another idea for what Lumina does when I wrote it, and now I'm not sure if I wanna go back to that one. Arrrrrg

"Aah!" Lumina had found a suitable crate, but shortly found it beat from her hands. She turned to find the culprit, and barely hand time to raise her guard before the offender kicked her away. She stumbled, fell, and rolled into a crouch, regaining her balance and retrieving a crystal buckle from her back, sliding it onto her left arm. "Can't kill me? Well, that's only fair, I'm hardly out for blood, either. Shall we make this a friendly contest?"

A fight that wasn't a fight, then. She grabbed her crystal buckler from her side, charging it as she made a dash for a pile of crates with a clear shot to the door. She'd watch for him to try and stop her, with his fireball or whatever. Her activated shield should be enough to block the brunt of the magic attacks, while she hooked her foot around a crate and kicked it toward the door or - *oh, look, a hole in the wall. The last one was light enough, if this one was about as dense, she should be able to get it to slide home. She'd kick a few crates at the door that way before grabbing a final one and sprinting for it. She'd have to be ready to guard against another attack, he'd surely be after her.

"A crate or two? I think I should be able to have that well in hand. Maybe depends on what's in 'em, though." Finished with her stretches Lumina took a deep breath, straightening her posture and quieting her mind. With her breathing, she lowered her stance from standing straight to a martial stance. She was focusing on wrapping her aura up with the air around her, and then making her aura, and the air with it, spin around her body. "If there's anyone sticking around, still, I'll be sure to grab them, too."

It was for their own good at this point, even. They'd be in danger! However, with this bubble of air whipping around her, she should be fine for a little bit. Normally, running fast enough would give you a bubble of wind behind you, but she'd need to hold on to a bigger one for this, without proper equipment. She would have to remember, as well, it wouldn't last a long time.

Step one, protect self, complete. "Ready?" Step two, dynamic entry! "Go!" She charged her legs and broke for the door, leaping up and coming in with a powerful double kick, her aim was to flatten the doors to the ground and use them to generate a gust of wind and kick up dust, to smother the flames. And then she'd have to keep her momentum, to keep her bubble without focusing on it. Some kind if crate, right? Maybe even two, and whoever might have been dumb enough to still stick around.
I'm just waiting for dialog some before Lumina finished her turn.

"Huh?" Lumina glanced to the beastkin woman who had been pinned. Magic attack. Distance from- assailant!

"Oof!" Negotiations were met with force. Luckily, she'd been able to meet the man's punch with clenched guts! and managed to keep her footing. Still hurt, though. Her eyes followed the man up into the sky, before her attention turned to the other fight, even as she walked toward the other beastkin to offer her a hand up. A duel of swords wasn't really something she wanted to jump into, even though she had a sword and shield (just a buckler), and it looked like it would end fine. The one with the upper hand didn't seem interested in bloodshed.

Though it didnt have a chance to end, the axe man from earlier crashed back down through the roof of the building they were in front of. And distracted everyone, herself included. A new participant asked of her health, she responded, "hey, friend, thanks, I'm alright. What's all the commotion, gov?"

She decided there must have been more to this than a simple back alley brawl when the building caught fire. Oh well, in for a penny, as they say. They were trying to extinguish or manage the flames, and he said something about salvaging what was inside. The building had been occupied, she could see people leaving through emergence exits. And they were... setting fire to it from within!? Ooh, this reeked of bad business. "Let me guess. You want to nab them for whatever it is they're burning in there?" She started stretching. Run into a burning building and secure something? Sounded simple enough, if dangerous. She'd have to be quick. And creative. "And it goes deeper, doesn't it?" Organized crime was a pain like that.

"Well, I guess it's good he's lively. Right?" She lowered her hand back to her side, having seen it refused. More importantly, Karn was lively, and it actually seemed like he was overpowering her. This run-in with dragons is gonna be good for him, isn't it. Heh, maybe.

But there wasn't any time to think about that. Or the planning the guild was trying to do, right over there. Because Karn was too excited to contain himself and already running off.

"Karn!" She saw him transforming and flung herself onto him, grabbing tight and making sure Mithera was secure. She didn't have much time, she turned and shouted to the others, "okay we're leaving byyyyyyyeeeeeee" as they disappeared into the trees.

More like 'heeeeeeeeeeeeelp'.

As Karn ran his way into the thick jungle surrounding the inner island, she started to crawl toward his face so she could speak to him easily. She made a small shield to protect herself from branches, making careful note not to break it.

"Karn, we should come with the others! Wouldn't it be rather rude to our friends to simply run ahead?" She had to try and reason with him, or something. She'd rather not spend her energy stopping a friend by force.

Or trying to, anyway. Jimmy Cricket, Karn...

The city bustled with a kind of noise she never encountered back home. It was lively, but also sometimes aggressive or discordant. It was the same way at the port city. She found herself wandering alleyways just to escape the noise. She'd also have to find an embassy or something. She had some money from the job that brought her here, and from her landing in the port city, but she really didn't have a good grasp of how long that would last her.

Before she could get herself back out to the street, Lumina caught a familiar commotion in her ear. And this time, the clash of metal addressed her ears with it. After following the sound, she peeked out to assess the situation, and managed to catch things at, seemingly, just the right moment. If that attack connected, it wouldn't be pretty. A cute back alley brawl could turn into a murder, that way. How reckless…

She focused her power. The other two were dueling with swords, which was less than ideal, but she didnt have time to worry about that. She focused on her legs, to enhance her speed, and her right arm, to stop that axe. And away she went, sprinting over to the thug with an axe. Her hand would reach for the axe, under the blade, and she would pull it back. “Hey, now, that's hardly necessary, is it? I don't know what this scuffle’s about, but couldn't you settle it with your fists, instead?”
