@Zelosse I mean, Diana was going to show ice queen there her pretty fire mixtape earlier, does that count as an attempt? XD

And yeah, everyone, i went hella ham on my post. And by ham, i mean "massive pork roast" level ham. ^^;

Tell me if i need to fix anything or lessen what was one.For Diana i knew i wanted to do something cool, but i also thought Leanne deserved to let loose for once. Unless, you know plot happens and shit hits the fan related to a certain Kano or Mr. Manilow again, lol.

I just hope Leanne didn't just open a portal to hell or something without realizing it.

@Zelosse@Kalleth@Feisty-Pants[Any other professors who care to see/watch]

As the headmaster announced that this test would be a maximum=use burst of their powers put to the test, rather than a more technical application of things, a hearty grin came onto the German girl's face. Ah, to be able to "let loose", as it were, and show off. Though considering that this was naught but the first part of a three-part test, overextending one's self was something Diana felt was perhaps silently discouraged. Unless someone here was a masochist who felt better to just go ham until they passed out, or if one of the professors here was a similar type who'd push a student until they gave out of exhaustion. Heh. Those little thoughts aside, it would be nice to let loose with her powers, to some extent at least to show off to the teachers and headmaster and others.

Going down her own set of stairs, like the others would do, Diana walked to the middle of her own little secluded area for testing. However, unlike those who stood or made a grandstand of appeal, she instead sat on the ground with crossed legs. It was her usual stance for focusing whilst training after a morning swim or other swim during the day for that matter. Closing her eyes as she rested her hands on her crossed legs, Diana began to focus.

Heat comes from the environment, but also from within....

The German-originated elementalist began drawing on her core, within herself, pulling at the heat there, stoking the fire within that burned bright for ever living thing. The heat within her body began to rise, up and up, and she could feel the burning feeling of heat move into every part of her body, seeping into every pore, even muscle, every bone, every fiber of her being. Where most would have already begun to sweat or worse, her body remained untouched by sweat or burn, but even so the heat continued to swell and swell within her.

....Let it burn, rise, reach into every extremity, every fingertip, like a puddle of water bit by bit growing and expanding into a lake.....

Ripples of heat began to rise more and more from the fire-user's body from all parts, like watching a hot car on a scalding 100-degree day. The stone began to sizzle where moisture from the environment was exposed to intense heat, lapped at by the growing temperature in the room that at the moment was only showing minor but distinct signs that something was building, growing, emanating into the world around the fire user.

....Then let it swell, build, begin to manifest itself, to reach the threshold and....

Flame. Finally flames began to form more and more around the fire user, surrounding her on the ground, climbing, crawling to the walls and licking the stone with its intense aura. Some began to coat her form, surround her hair, sit upon her clothes, saturating the air around it with licking tongues of desperate wanting and desire for more. More, if it could get the chance to take it. However, this all did not seem to disturb the fire user herself, whose controlled breathing and focus was continuing to build whilst their effects continued to snowball the more time went on, eyes still closed.

....then, when the time is right...let it come forth, burst towards its climactic peak, to go wild and reach towards the very heavens above with a great roar, and take off like a dragon in flight!

Suddenly, the flames would all expand greatly, roaring to life as if unleashed as they were let loose upon the world. A great and mighty pillar of fire, a mixture of reds and orange and yellow and blues, consumed the small room Diana was in without warning, shooting straight up towards the sky in a fervent rush as if seeking to challenge the very sun itself. A bright column indeed that glowed with a primal sort of might, though only briefly made it debut in all of its unrestrained glory, bursting onto the scene in a rampant and crackling chorus whose sound rang against the walls without challenge!

And then as soon as it appeared, it lasted only long enough to take it in before fading once more, as if the valve to its fuel had been shut off all one once, suddenly, without warning. Scorched stone lined the floor and walls of Diana's room, the scorch and burn even reaching somewhat back up the steps Diana had taken down here as well to boot. Indeed, what the sudden blaze had lacked in any control save for avoiding burning herself, it made up for in a temporary buildup that peaked in a great and sudden inferno of power that was her spectacle to show.

Rather than being under the belief that the best fire was something that erupted without warning or reason or rhyme, but rather fire to her was a thing that grew and grew, feeding, and swelling until it reached its "bursting" point where it hit its ultimate climax. This was perhaps much like how in life people and animals and plants needed to build up and grow in order to attain their "best", and indeed between the sun and such it could be said that fire was something interwoven with "life" in a sense. So Diana had simply taken the approach of allowing the power to build similarly in a manner simply focused on power, to allow it to grow naturally and then soar to its peak without exploding in her face, a similar vein to her personal practice albeit without focus on fine control in this situation.

On closer inspection, it might be seen that certain bits of stone closest to Diana, a liquid shimmer or perhaps a molten glow was visible as a few small patches on the floor had actually begun to melt or become reduced to a liquid state under the heat Diana had produced only moments ago. Steam rose from these small puddles of molten stone as they began to cool, though unless another element was used to do so it would perhaps take some time for these things to cool again. However, the girl's clothes, for lack of a better word, had also seemingly been consumed in the flames of the fire, only her sworn red bikini swimsuit underneath still clad on her body along with her unburned fiery hair.

That loss of attire, however, had not been intentional on her part.

Opening her eyes once more, Diana stood up on the not-melted scalding-hot stone beneath her feet as if it was nothing, an excited grin coming onto her face as she looked up at the teachers.

However, it took only a moment later and the first feeling as colder air tried to seep into the room amidst the scorching stone to notice that her clothes had been....well, burnt off save for her swimsuit underneath. That was when a look of sudden surprise came onto the girl's face, half from the shocked of not having made sure to avoid burning her clothes off in all that, and partly due to being thankful her swimsuit had not been scorched in the process too.

"Eh, could one of you bring me a new set of clothes before everyone else is done? Please?" the redhead said in a somewhat sheepish manner, a light blush contrasting her proud grin that came back even as she looked up and spoke to the teachers and Headmaster above without hesitation.

Though for the record, even whilst just in a swimsuit, Diana herself had to admit she was actually....pretty hot, all things considered. This how, though? She didn't know she had it in her, to be frank.

New York, New York; Manhattan Area; On the Street Near Starbucks

And trying not to accidentally Team Kill whilst she's at it...

It was a thing that would seem ludicrous if she had been faced with it three years earlier in her life, but right now this situation, as alien and strange as it was, seemed to make enough sense that she latched onto it just to steady herself.They were from other worlds beyond this one, their tales naught but fiction in regards to this one despite the situation. Somehow, perchance, this was the case according to this stranger's words. However, the young Empress could not find deceit or lies flowing from this woman's words, and simply her attempts to keep this situation muted rather than causing a scene....seemed rather tactful, especially if this mage was going through this sort of event for a second time in her life. Though the lack of surety that this situation was similar to a previous one the white-haired individual spoke of being in before was rather troublesome at best, though potentially this also meant and made this person out as someone with insight into what could be the case here. A thing of value indeed.

Yet if this all was true, it also likely meant the two of them were far from alone in being in this world as well...really, who knew what other worlds had individuals bleeding into here, and the potential dangers and chaos that could cause. Though a familiar sound, not one she enjoyed albeit, rang through the air. Wyverns. Though whether they were from her world or not remained to be seen, she did have something of sorts that was useful against the likes of dragon-kind. She had used a similar tome, blessed for one of the other mages in the force that went to take on Ashera, she had used to help fight against the King of Dragons himself at best. However, she didn't have that particular tome on her right now. As beorc from outside on the streets began to move inside rapidly, it seemed the mage calmly payed for the food she had eaten and offered Sanaki herself, before asking the small Empress just how much she was used to combat before they moved out. Sanaki had been about to run out anyways, even if this mage wasn't, though it was good to hear this individual seemed to have a level enough head to handle things like this.

"Well, Miss 'Meteora', you are speaking to someone whom has fought down the king of a nation of dragons, and who assisted in the slaying of a rampant goddess who turned the rest of the world to stone. I believe it sufficient to say, however, that i must wait to give my own name and status upon the slaying of these wyverns that have landed in this world as well. Fortunately, i bear a tome whose magic is most effective against these sorts of things," the young girl said, her tone and edict in speaking mature and distinct, proper yet politely hurried due to the developing situation, standing from her seat with her shoulders back and her regal air saturating the air with sheer presence, "But unless that tome of yours can slay dragons, i might need some 'cover' as it were as i target the enemy. Follow me."

And promptly, Sanaki nodded at this 'Meteora' woman, before shoving her way through the crowd next to the door and forcing her way out onto the streets once more. However, unlike minutes before, they seemed more empty, many of the metal vehicles of sorts in the street abandoned in the process. Amidst the chaos, however, it was easy to look down the way to see the two wyverns sitting there on the ground, rampaging through what looked like shoddily-dressed troops in uniform and...actually a couple of other individuals who seemed to be attacking the things. A small projectile like a shoe seemed to bounce off of one wyvern, whilst another man of large statue seemed to throw a blow at one of them that looked like blood in the shape of a cross. Peculiar as this was, Sanaki noted these two's positions and pulled out her Bolting tome from under her robes and flipped it open. The golden yellow-clad book of magic was comfortable in her hands, and the words on the page began to glow as Sanaki prepared her magic to cast.

"You two by the wyverns! Watch your heads and move back!" the purple haired Empress shouted in a booming, regal manner to at least try to warn the two individual who had tried to do something against these foes, even as the words on the page of her open flared even brighter for a moment as she proceeded to cry the name of the spell aloud to cast it-

"Bolting!"

Blasting down from the sky at immense speed, suddenly from the sky and clouds above without warning, was a great and mighty bolt of lightning, aimed directly at the base of the neck of the wyvern that the shoe had been thrown at. Indeed the spell came crashing down with power that, unbeknownst to Sanaki, was potentially unseen in size and volume in this world as compared to its "natural" lightning. However, the range was fitting for the use of this tome, as if she had been any close she'd have had to likely use "that" spell on the blasted things. And with others close to the scene, "that" spell might be a lot messier to the people rather than the surroundings.

Fighting draconic enemies. Whether it was the mighty dragons of goldoa that towered like unto these things, or the great wyverns ridden upon by Begnion or other troops from Tellius, this was the sort of thing she was used to. Albeit, never facing them alone, but to avoid the deaths of innocents she wasn't going to just ponder on the situation as a whole too much. Besides, if at least that blood-punching-looking fellow could keep attention, it might work in her favor.

However, it was all too clear that it seemed independent parties were getting into this battle. And from the looks of it, at least one of those individuals was probably form another world considering his odd type of attack. The better to try to end it a swiftly as possible, then, and avoid the inevitable conflict a disorganized rabble of fools might cause in all of this...at least if more got involved. But as it was, she had to account for these things as potential variables in the situation.

Sanaki hadn't ruled and empire for nearly a decade and learned nothing from all of that, after all.

Alright, so amidst the chaos in gym class and the chaos in when is happening where, i mentioned in Diana's post that she had lunch with Lyra and her new roommate. Does not make up for my forgetting to post of Diana being with them, but is at least an attempt to make up for thing on my part. :)

A New Rival Appears?!

@Spriggs27@Zelosse@Kalleth@baraquiel@Pseudo Stygian

Long-winded speeches about killing each other, and learning to get along, and the sort of things one might hear being told to little kids who needed to be scolded were the words of the day for Diana and Kris, it seemed, after Mr. Manilow had finally released them. Though really, beyond simple acknowledgement of "yes, sir" the red haired German girl did not say much. She watched as the "ice princess" she had nearly tried to suffocate with flames...actually, had tried without thinking until that Darkness user had ironically intervened.......run off from the track and field grounds and off to her thing or her room or a bathroom for all Diana knew. It had been a sobering point in time for the fire user, who quietly was glad neither of the two of them had managed to deal severe wounds to each other from the looks of it. Though a little singing on the part of the ice-queen there was visible to Diana, who knew how to look for burns from...er....past experiences at home.

Though by now, standing here underground at 4pm, the redhead had reverted back to her usual self after taking some time to eat with her roommate and a girl named "Lyra" and such. It had been a pleasant lunch, a good way to get past earlier events from gym class. Yet upon feeling a pair of cold eyes upon her from afar, potentially literally, Diana had looked out of the corner of her eyes and noticed a familiar face. The ice girl, the rude prick who had been down on everyone before pushing too many buttons. Heh. It was shocking that it was that girl who could have been staring at her, a thought that brought a small smile to Diana's face, though if she was as petty as she seemed then revenge might be on her mind for all the German girl knew. And if this sterotype the ice user seemed to have played out true, anyways.

Besides, after the lunch Diana had gone to practice her skills...and take a nice swim to ease the mind and keep the body fit as well. It would be for the second time in the same day, but it had given her more time to practice what she had been doing before with her fire powers earlier and for the last three months overall. Of course, this went beyond just drying herself off...actually included something a bit more interesting than that.

But that was not Diana's main concern at the moment.

Rather, as she looked about her peers where they stood, and at both Mr. Manilow and Headmaster Kano, the teen mentally and physically readied herself, keeping her breathing calm, her heart rate steady, and keeping on a relatively relaxed demeanor to stay open to whatever they would be instructed in. Considering students of all kinds of elements were here, it was safe to say this was big and potentially competitive if she had the right idea.

Interesting...

Leanne Hillcrest

@Kalleth@Zelosse

4:00 P.M.

Academy Grounds; Underground

The incident from earlier had been....unnerving to quite a degree for Leanne, the hoodie-wearing girl having had to comfort a teacher to boot. Though after this she had been...dismissed off like the others as Mr. Manilow had left to free and talk down the two troublemakers without a true explanation or word of what had gone on to her or anything. Even so, she still felt she, even if just via the use of her element in trying to prevent a fight, had something to do with that. Unless Mr. Manilow had some kind of darkness in him, but the reality was that the man was an Earth Elementalist! How could he even have two elements, already something that seemed an impossibility, but beyond that another odd question came to mind. Could other Darkness users be stimulated by the usage of powers by other Darkness users? None of it really answered the question, nor really helped her feel better save for providing a topic of distraction for her to think on and keep a level head with in the immediate aftermath of things.

Deciding not to pursue Mr. Manilow on the matter so soon, not having a full idea herself, Leanne had retired to the Infirmary to get her lip fixed. Though when that had been done she had gone back to her room. Not usually one to miss classes, the early start to the lunch period gave her a chance to ponder matters, at least whilst her roommate would in all likeliness have been back and sleeping after the early release from Gym Class. For about half an hour she had taken the time to enjoy a hot, steamy shower, her nearby phone placed on the toilet seat nearby to play music for her to use to focus on.

In all of these three months, she hadn't let anyone see her "let it go" so to say, but the nerves of the situation combined with the emotional awkwardness of the situation had gotten to her to an extent. So as the hot drops of soothing water ran over her, the Darkness user had finally begun to let out the stress in the one way she could best do so in the shower: crying. Just....crying. Though she had done her best to hide this from her roommate even, it wasn't because she was worried over being a "crybaby". She...just didn't want to overly worry anyone else, eh? But beyond that, just a way to relieve the stress when it got too much at times was an invigorating thing. Left her feeling like she was ready to take things on.

Even her grandmother had noted the need to "cry" once in a while, and that bottling things up too much only led to worse things in life.

Though once she had emerged from the shower, dried off, and turned off the music on her phone, she had pulled on a fresh set of attire and her trademark hoodie before setting out again silently. No need to worry Eir with a somber mood, but....she needed to herself think on the matter more. Indeed, there was some mystery that seemed to emanate from what had happened in gym class beyond just her gut feeling her powers had done something to Mr. Manilow, especially with his reaction to her as if she had just come back from the dead or something before breaking down into sobbing before she had went to hug him moments later. And to that end...eventually an idea had come to mind as she had wandered over to the gardens of the Academy.

Darkness was an element that had a bad reputation, she herself had first-hand experience with that, but...why? She had never been told just what the incident behind the Darkness element falling into infamy was, nor had heard of any books on it or such. If her gut was right about Mr. Manilow, then perhaps there was something about her element that was, in essence, unique in its properties. She was no expert on science or the elements, but at the same time it felt like an educated assumption...or at least one potential factor in things that seemed worth investigating. Albeit, she would need a plan for attempting to look into her element's, well, ironically dark past.....pun intended of course. Perhaps later she could go to the library when it was mostly abandoned, see if there were any books. That could be a calmer start. She wasn't aware of any Darkness teachers here, to be frank, but there was one figure at the school who seemed to carry that inhuman air about him. Headmaster Kano. Yet approaching him like that might...mmm, she had no idea how the headmaster would react. Perhaps it would be better to not ask him first unless the matter was pressing.

Eventually, though, her stomach had begun to rumble like a mighty whirlwind, with the intensity of a great earthquake....and she had gone to get some food. Alone. It allowed her to break from what felt like a far longer time than it had been, what with the questions and such on her mind and such. Just having gone to a hamburger and hot-dog place in town, as basic as it was as compared to the other flavors of foods there, she had enjoyed a simple meal....if one might count a double-decker burger with the works and medium curly fries coated in rich spices...which all came with a large Coca-Cola.....as "simple" anyways. Besides, breakfast had been light to nonexistent for her as it was, just so she could help get sleepy Eir to class.

Though by this point, a good ways into the afternoon, the time for challenge and testing. Or at least, time to descend into the dark bowels of the Academy where the Earth Elementalists were supposed to train or such. Stepping down there with the rest of her group of students, the first group that would be brought forwards to face whatever came, it seemed, Leanne felt a certain sense of awe at the scene. The dark of the area, aside from the lit torches on the wall and such, brought on a sense of...well, ease to a certain extent. Like it was "home" to a certain extent, though not her literal home as it were.

The night had always been her favorite time of day, though she did not shirk to get up in the day, but something about this scene seemed to blend well in her eyes on first glance. Like a sort of "harmony" had been established here purposefully and with careful intent. Smooth earthen floors stood below their feet like an ancient temple of old, whilst swirls of shadows seemed to dance merrily upon the pillars of the area with the flickering of the flaming light sources scattered about. Thin earth above and rare tiny cracks of light piercing into the soft blackness seemed beautiful, like a painting. Even the sounds of the jewel-like waters running through the earth below where they stood seemed to echo off of the walls in a soothing manner, like how a gentle breeze might cause a rustling in the trees and whistling through the logs and grass.

Though as her eyes found Mr. Manilow and Headmaster Kano standing together, the teenager was snapped from the beautiful display that had briefly entranced her mind. Reminders of earlier just by seeing Mr. Manilow, and the mysterious and somewhat imposing visage of the headmaster himself, left her coming "back to earth" and mentally beginning to reinforce herself. She tried to meet each of the two's eyes, to get a read of the situation but also to see if Mr. Manilow was...well, ok after earlier. Truthfully, they were not here for some kind of playdate or silly tour of this area. That much she knew for sure.
