Depends on what you classify as near future. For me, that is something like a week or less. For others, it could be a year. As far as I know, the thread migration won't happen until the Pax arc is over which could be anywhere from 2-3 months to a year or longer. And there's a 2 week period between for any arcs to get to a interruption point so it can be transferred over.

However, I can understand and relate to that since I'm waiting for Season two myself to create another two PCs, a villain and hero. I'm hoping to dip into the supernatural world of monster myths like a Kitsune crime boss and a teenage werewolf, inspired from the tv series Teen Wolf actually. Though instead of the werewolf being a no one or a booky nerd, the PC would've had it all from wealth to good looks. However, when a mysterious change happens to send his world reeling into the hidden supernatural, we get a true glimpse of the world where the grass always seems greener only to learn it's not so manicured after all. I might have them both in another city however other than Lost Haven since I want to keep the three separated.

This is the place where I tell my character concept? If yes, I'm thinking about this walking the line type of character who is actually 3 minds in one body.

@Fallenreaper And don't forget. Archangel and any of Raptorman's OC's are written out of continuity. So no one will have heard of them. I'm guessing that leaving the meta bombs exploded will still be cannon as well as knowing the location of the evil base. Though if we were to disregard the destroyed bombs and say that they were never destroyed we'd have some motivation to beat the clock as it were.

The impression I got, and I might've been wrong, but I thought NMS said they will be written out of the story. This, to me, means their effects are still felt but the PCs will no longer be around or exist afterwards. Two, with the player being banned I don't think anyone will be wanting to contact those accounts.

I feel like I started and encouraged a revolution proclaiming @Gowi as the leader of the 'resistance'. XD

@NattyThat's pretty much the only route open unless someone wants to read over 600+ posts. Lol. And to have a character be pre-established. Unless this RP doesn't care about retroactively changing things, then it's not an issue.

I would say it depends mostly on these:

~How deeply was your PC involved with the other heroes and do they know them?
~How long have they lived in Lost Haven?
~Where were they during the events?
~Were they affected by these events and how?

Here's a summary of the key events that would have some effect on all residents living in Lost Haven:

So the time line is:
- Demon Invasion (1 month ago)
- Cowl's Riots ( 1 week + a couple days ago)
- Umrbaxis Fight (2 days after Cowl's Riots)
- Pax Metahumana kick off with tv announcements (~36-48 hours ago)
- Pacis Metahumanae domes form in key cities (a couple hours - 4 max)

And let me make this straight again. There have been no explosions in the key cities, at least not as a result of the devices. Archangel has made surgical strikes against some of the devices after they had been activated. Sure, those devices destroyed by Archangel "exploded", but not as a result of the device itself. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what are the exact details of the "surgical strikes".

As far as I can tell, the actual abnormal stuff (from magic to meta humans) haven't cropped up until slowly over the last few months ICly. Other than that, it was a normal city so growing up there wouldn't be chaotic until lately. The demon invasion also didn't last that long and was isolated to one section, though @Dedonus or @Hound55 can correct me, of Lost Haven known as Sherman Square. The Umbraxis had, before his official fight, been traveling through Maine toward Lost Haven and attacking police stations if I recall right. And the Pax Arc affects major cities with bombs that create domes which are turning normal people into Meta humans.

Other ways to avoid reading the 666+ pages of IC are:

~arrive there recently (there's bomb threats, if your relations are too stubborn to move then more than likely you're going to go there to get their arses out or some other reason)
~Not have been around the areas of key timeline events at the time but heard about it and seen the aftermath
~Not have your PC directly tied with the heroes involved and the PC been dealing with another issue, an offshoot of that. Example with the demon invasion is that your PC's neighbor was attacked by a small army of Gremlins. No offense with blood thirsty beasts trying to nip off your arse, you're not really give a crap about what the main heroes or others are currently doing that point. XD

What is the policy on making cities, are new players allowed to do it or is it an earned privilege?

I'm not a GM, but one thing I think is worth mentioning is if you're making another city make sure to have some people coming with you to play within it. CAH (A Nickname I use for the rp's name) is a sandbox rp and like many rps of that nature, it can easily have players become isolated and feel like they are writing their own story instead of one with others. So to prevent this, I would suggest picking 2-3 (including Lost Haven) cities as main areas for stories and story focus rather than a whole bunch of unused or rarely mentioned cities. It was part of the reason I suggested Gowi's city for new and old players who want to make more than one PC.

However, again, I'm not a GM and this is only my thoughts and in no way discouraging you from considering making another city. Though I can tell you it most likely needs approval by the GMS. Part of me sort of wishes for a CS format which would help in guide lines for making one and what is required information.

@Blue Demon: Also, @Gowi has made another city outside of Lost Haven which has a blank history that needs heroes, villains and all those in between to fill its pages out. Grant City literally has no IC history and is distant enough not to be affected by the Lost Haven stuff save the current Pax Humana Arc. This season end might allow you and anyone else interested to flesh out the city with some minor fun and establish a base to build on in season two as well.

Actually I heard you guys might be doing a season 2 thing. So I thought I'd check it out. Apparently the info was accurate... It's just that season 2 won't be happening for a while. So now I have to think on if I want to join now and slog through years worth of IC posts or wait. Decisions.

I can make a suggesting? Could use the end of this season to create connections and links so you can have people to interact with in Season two? It might also give you a chance to see how well you mesh with players, their writing style, toy around with arcs not officially yours, etc.

I made this suggestion to another player and also, if your PC is just arriving then the past events (save the last 48 hours) have little influence on him. So you wouldn't have to have the details of the IC but a summary of events and brief like you read in the newspaper.
