Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Is the rioting and BLM brought up yet?

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

The Kingdom of Ancent

"Report! Sonia the Alchemist and Anastasia the Adventurer had returned!"

"Good. Let them in."

"And they seem to bring an unfamiliar group of people with them."

"Hmm, an unfamiliar group of people, you say? What do you mean? Well, no matter, I am sure they would explain everything. Come on now, bring them in."

"Yes, my liege!"

The guard quickly retreated after giving another bow, his armor clanging as he half-ran towards the big door on the other side of the room. He then told the other two guards standing there to open it, allowing Sonia and Anastasia to enter. It seemed the two had been waiting on the other side of the door.

As usual, the two didn't bow or kneel in front of the king, a privilege reserved to only the most important and distinguished persons of the country.

"We're back!" Sonia announced cheerfully.

"And we brought you some souvenirs!" Anastasia chimed in with a grin.

"Souvenirs? You mean..."

"Yes, the people we just rescued," Anastasia replied.

The two then explained everything that had transpired, how they came from another world and how they were stranded in the middle of a monster-infested land with no chance of escape. And now, they seek asylum and protection in the kingdom, a place where they could live safely.

"Hmm, I'm fine with letting them stay, but..."

"But what Your Majesty?" Sonia interrupted. "If it's food, I am confident that we have more than enough to feed them," she said with a determined look.

"Are you sure they're... oh, nevermind. We'll deal with it when it happens. Very well. I approve of them staying in our kingdom. For now, they would work on the outlying farms as manual labor. They would share houses with the locals until we finished constructing makeshift houses for them. Of course, they are free to choose a different occupation if they so desire."

And with that, the meeting was adjourned. Anastasia split up from Sonia as she was going to spread the order of the king around. Sonia would be the one handling the refugees for now.

Their plan was immediately foiled however when unexpected guests came out of nowhere, bringing an army with them uninvited and unannounced right into the kingdom's territory.

The refugees would have to wait for now. This was far more important.

When they arrived, the angelic army had already arrived right in front of the gates. Citizens of the kingdom were either hiding or fleeing, with some brave, curious, or just plain foolish souls gathering to see what was going on. The refugees were also there to witness the event.

"Oh, great Human Kingdom. Our Divine Mother Ilias has sent us out in search of true, righteous folk, so that we might unite under one banner and stand as one against the Darkness. Do not be alarmed by our weapons and numbers, this is a delegation of peace. We come in our Goddess's name, in hopes that you might answer her call and accept her Light into your hearts," the one who seemed to be their leader announced in a booming voice.

Joining them was the leader of the Ancent Knights, Boris. He stood there stoically, looking at the angel horde, his stance ready to draw his sword and leap in combat in a single move.

And then, he spoke.

"What business do you have with our kingdom?" he shouted back. His voice couldn't rival that of the angel's voice, but it could still be heard just fine with the people present. "If you wish to propose an alliance, then you speak with our king, and by sending a messenger, not an army like this." His voice was stern, with a hint of anger in it. Clearly, he didn't trust them at all.

Anastasia had the same idea. She already began calculating which angels she had to take care first if a fight broke out. With that many of them, she wouldn't hold back. She would use the bullet Sonia gave her the other day.

Sonia herself on the other hand, thought the other direction. If a fight broke out, she had to evacuate the civilians and the refugees as quickly as possible. At least she had to buy time until the rest of the kingdom's forces came. She still had a couple of elixirs with her but wasting them all would be foolhardy.

Hmm, angels. They were all winged people flying on the sky. They looked really majestic and divine for sure but they still shared a common weakness that most winged creatures shared.

She would use that against them.

Psssh, get your medicine from Ancen instead. Guaranteed to work as advertised without any weird side effects.
@DracoLunaris
I believe you might be receiving some angelic visitors as well if i remember

Yep, that too. Still waiting for Black Alice for his entrance post.
@DracoLunaris
The dummies just had to come on the same day my faction rescued the refugees...

This would be a busy day indeed.
Selena

"Oi, that little rat robbed me blind!"

Selena was brought out of her enjoyment of her food when she heard the loud shouting of the middle-aged man, who was surprisingly loud enough to beat the already loud noises of the market. She turned to look at the man, finding him really quite angry indeed as his face was terribly red.

"Get back 'ere you little weasel! You don't steal from Ole' Gilfrey! I'll make mince meat out of you!"

She then turned again to look at said "little weasel". It was just a boy, eating bread. And he seemed to be staring at her.

Before Selena could do anything, the kid suddenly darted and leaped over the stall. Selena had to admit, that was quite impressive, especially for a little kid. He must be running away as the angry man was now pushing and shoving his way towards their direction.

Hmm, should she interfere? Should she chase after the boy? It shouldn't be too hard with how she was now.

Well, he was a thief, and thieves were bad people. But he was just a boy. And the angry man could be mistaken.

"Well, I think I'll catch up with him, just to ask about his side of the story. And besides, it should be fun trying out the super speed and agility I have now," she said to herself with a smile, clasping her hands and tilting her head slightly.

And then, in a blink of an eye, she vanished.

The kid sprinted through the crowds skillfully, as if he had done this many times before. It didn't take him long until he escaped the market and into the alleyways. However, right as he turned in an intersection, he bumped into someone, making him lose his balance, stopping him in his tracks.

And now, in front of him was Selena, still smiling warmly.

"Hello. Mind if we have a little chat?" she asked, extending her hand towards him, bowing down a little thanks to their height difference.

Then my faction will provide it's services to everyone as long as they don't know if they're evil.
@Lmpkio
Sorry, your faction's alignment and mine are too far apart.
Hmm, I might be interested. Already got a pic for my character.
Illia Anastasia

"I suppose a dirt hut would suffice for now," she replied to the lizardman. She wasn't fond of living in such a settlement, but it would have to do for now.

She brought the the dull tip of her staff to the ground, hitting it once. And with that simple movement, the dirt began moving as if it was alive. It shaped itself into a simple hut, pressing into itself so it would solidify. And just like that, the hut was complete in no time at all.

"There," she returned her attention back to the lizardman with a smile. "I'm not that good in architecture so I could only make a simple one."

Esther von Degraff

"Y-yes, right away!" Esther replied to Gradon's order. And so they're heading out to combat again, this time against who knew what? Anything that made such a sound couldn't be good. And the princess just had to faint in a time like this.

They soon closed in on the ruins, Esther not daring to go ahead even though she could if she wanted, thanks to her vessel. And when she arrived there, what she saw made her thankful for not rushing ahead of the others.

"W-w-what is that?" Esther asked to no one in particular. Her expression was that of fear and surprise. Fear of the creature's terrifying presence. And surprise that such a creature could even exist.

She saw how some other people were already fighting the beast, with the most recent attack being a bunch of arrows of light fired off towards the beasts' eyes, most likely intending to blind it... Wait, were those vessel users? Were they reinforcements?

She would think about that later. For now, she just had to concentrate her attacks on the beast along with the others. And so she switched her vessel to its combat mode and started kicking off wind blades towards the creature. She didn't know how effective her attack would be. She had a feeling it was not going to be that easy to slay the abomination.
