Bio

Hello all. I am an experienced writer who is writing my own fiction stories on the side. I can role play any genre. What I love most is being able to go-all-out when weaving tales with other writers. It just makes the story more interesting, so I can't wait to write with you. :)

Beep! Beep-beep-BEEP!

Honk, honk, honk!

It was the usual din that accompanied Gotham’s downtown. Vehicles filled the streets to the curb, pedestrians flooded the crosswalk, and if one thought the streets couldn’t get any more crowded, deliverymen on mopeds somehow managed to weave between it all like a sewing needle. The intersections were navigated using common sense as vehicles darted out, slowed, and dodged around each other like a chicken game. The billboards dimly-lit the city in neon greens, blues, and pinks, but the overall yellow cast by the fluorescent bulbs never could drive away the darkness that heavily settled like a blanket upon the city.

The darkness was like a disease. It infected the citizens—subtly. It existed in the color of their clothes and festered in their self-centered psychologies. It manifested in the form of crime, and crime was aplenty here. The old folk believe Gotham to have originally been built on a hellmouth, which was the only logical explanation for the surplus of corruption in the businesses and justice systems that ran the place. The Gothamites were desensitized to the evil; the dark; but not the light.

It started with the traffic lights. The lights began to erratically change, throwing vehicles this way and that. Cars were rear-ended, T-boned, and a pile-up was building. Angry drivers and passengers stepped out of their vehicles, waving their fists in their red-faced anger.

“You rear-ended me, you dick!”

“Why were you on my ass, you prick!”

“Oh no! My boss is gonna kill me!”

“Hey, what’s goin’ on with the lights?”

A pulse rippled outwards in an expanding ring from the intersection. It made the motorists’ ears ring, and in a trail, every electrical source in the city went out. The darkness of Gotham swallowed the downtown. Disturbed citizens screamed, the fearful ran without knowing exactly where to, while several spooked bystanders remained where they stood like rabbits.

“What’s goin’ on?”

“Is this a terrorist attack!?”

The intersection exploded with a blinding and electrical light. The radiant phenomenon sat in the intersection like an octopus, throwing vehicles left and right on violent ropes of electricity. Drivers were thrown in the electrical assault, sent flying into signs, lamp posts, other vehicles, and the sidewalk. More citizens started to run as the concentration of energy similar to a tesla sphere fried the powerlines and popped the bulbs of the street lamps and billboards. Cops on the street found their radios unresponsive. Cell phones were completely dead despite whether they had a full battery or not. Every electrical device in the downtown was either stalled or fried.

The second phase of the apocalypse happened. A gust blasted outwards from the intersection, knocking over towers, dumpsters, and even the weak. First an electrical storm, and then what felt like a hurricane swirling in the middle of the street. Citizens dropped to the ground as objects continued to fall and fly about.

A scared and weeping child clung to his mother as he asked, “Mommy, is Batman coming?”

His mother didn’t even know how to answer. She didn’t want to scare her child further with her doubts. In her opinion, the chaos being unleashed in the city seemed like too much for the caped crusader. What was he going to do? Halt a storm?

“Just pray and don’t let go of Mommy, okay?” It was the only hope she could give him.

The third phase was the noise. Accompanied with the flashing and whipping lightning and the howling gale was a loud noise that sounded like tearing paper. Something was being ripped apart. The noise grew so loud that citizens clapped their hands over their ears, and some even screamed in fear; exasperation; frustration; insanity! Make it stop! Just make it all stop!

Instantly, it was over. The gale dissipated and the lightning shrank, twisting and shrinking into the fabric of space until it disappeared on a thunderous thoom. Black smoke from a spiral of melted and burning asphalt rose from the street in a black pillar around a prone figure. It was the figure of a man who was lying on his side as though he had just been dumped out of a moving vehicle. He wore a dark-grey suit that clung to his body like a second skin. The expanse of his back was all machine, a deep crater that held a red-glowing eye in its center. The eye frantically looked left and then right before it detached from its perch and floated out from its terminal. The golden sphere gazed left and right at the destruction and the people who were gawking at it.

“Oh bugga’, this is bad,” the droid muttered in an English dialect. It continued to cautiously survey its surroundings until another thoom sounded. A transformer somewhere had kicked some life back into the city and the Gotham downtown revived on an enthusiastic whir. The lights revealed the disarray and the lone man who laid unconscious in a black melted spiral in the middle of the intersection.

“Hello, hello, this is Officer Hill, do you copy?” a cop radioed.

Loud and clear Officer Hill, status report.

“We gotta mess down here and…I don’t exactly know what the hell just happened but I’m gonna need some backup!”

Skeets’s little round wings fluttered to personify a shiver. “Oh my; oh my; this is bad. We need ta' go.”

The droid floated over to the lying male’s face and shined its red eye in it.

“Adam! Adam, you must wake up!” the droid warned. It rammed the man’s forehead twice before it swooped out of the way of a swinging hand. The hand slapped flatly down on the warm asphalt and slowly and sluggishly the man rolled himself onto his back. His face scrunched up in temporary dizziness. His skin was smudged and hair disheveled as though he had just escaped a burning building. Upon opening his eyes, he squinted against the bright lights and swirling buildings.

“Am…am I dead?” Adam muttered in a daze.

“If you were dead, mate, I wouldn’t be here. We need ta’ go!”

Adam closed his eyes again and groaned as though his entire body was in absolute pain. “Shit…this must be the other place if you’re here.”

“I just saved your ungrateful arse! If it wasn’t fo’ me, you wouldn’t be here. Actually, we both wouldn’t be here! You know, I don’t know how many times I need ta’ say this but we need ta’ go!”

Adam’s eyes flew open at the sound of several pistols being cocked around him. He stared at the strange black objects the men in uniforms were pointing at him and slowly raised his hands in uncertainty.

“DON’T FUCKING MOVE!”

“STAY ON THE GROUND!”

“GET ON YOUR STOMACH!”

They were all yelling at him. Adam gazed at the men in panic and confusion.

“Skeets, what do I do, they’re yelling at me to do too many things?!”

“I-I don’t know. I’ll try talking ta’em.”

The golden droid flew over to one of the cops and politely started to ask, “Uh-uh, pardon, but we don’t mean you any harm-”

A round deflected off Skeets’s red eye and sent the droid whirling back.

“OH!” Adam exclaimed in horror. “It’s a weapon. They shot you!”

“They shot me! I can’t believe they bloody shot me!” Skeets angrily exclaimed.

“STOP TALKING!”

“GET ON YOUR STOMACH NOW!”

Growing annoyed by all the screaming, Adam irritably rolled onto his belly. “Fuck this, Skeets we’re getting out of here.”

“Right,” the droid agreed and zipped over to land in the terminal in Adam’s back.

Several officers started dropping their knees on Adam’s back and attempted to muscle his arms behind him so they could cuff him. Adam’s arms curled against the five cops in resistance. Five cops tried to wrestle his arms before he suddenly leapt to his feet, jerking them along and dropping them on their heads. Adam started briskly walking away from the cops amidst more authoritative shouting followed by gunfire. Rounds popped upon contact with his body, and the officers eventually lowered their weapons to gawk at the retreating man.

“What is he an alien?” one cop wondered. “Our guns don’t do shit to him!”

“Did you see that golden robot? Don’t Atlanteans have gold things like that?”

“I think so, but Atlanteans don’t come out of thin air either!”

Adam frowned as he walked down the middle of the street. He marched passed civilians who gawked at him from their vehicles.

“Skeets, what the hell happened? Where are we?” Adam asked.

“I believe we’re in a different dimension,” the droid answered.

Adam frowned further as though the news was making his brain ache. “What?”

“Adam, I’m sorry ta’ say this, but our world is no more. It was destroyed. We’re the only survivors left.”

Adam stopped. The news was hard to believe, but there was no other explanation for why they weren’t where they were supposed to be. His world was…destroyed? Just like that? He was wrenched from his thoughts when an aircraft fluttered overhead. Suddenly, Adam found himself bathed in a white light. He squinted up at the metal bird as a voice bellowed down at him: “STOP! DO NOT RESIST ARREST!”

“Why are they trying to arrest me?”

“I don’t know…maybe they think you’re a threat?”

“This place pisses me off. Is there any way we can get out of here?”

“At this time, no. As I said, it’s a miracle we’re both even here. Our entire dimension collapsed and we managed to survive thanks to my shield.”

“Oh, go pat yourself on the fucking back. I’m out of here.”

Adam bent at the knees and sprang into the air. His sudden skyrocket startled the helicopter pilots as they gave chase and reported, “The perpetrator is airborne. Red Wing One in pursuit!”
@AmbraYou should arrange for the world discussion. You can make an OOC, a PM, or just have it here. Or just don't even include me if it makes your life easier since I'm the only one out of the three you chose who cannot do discord or Skype due to the major time difference.
There's a lot of people in Metropolis now lol. I think I'm going to have Booster be in Gotham now.
I will try and get a post up today. I hope I don't pass out first (sleep).

Team One

The crimson psypher had met its mark, piercing through the man’s guts and erupting out his back. The pale-haired shadow knight gazed upon Slayer expecting to see blood spurting from his every orifice or to guide him to the ground in his death throes, but the man did not cringe or crumple over. He instead uttered an unbothered sound that made every hair on the knight’s body ferally stand on end.

Frightfully, the shadow knight jerked back, ripping his psypher from the man’s stomach and swiping it to the side to free it of blood. Whatever creature stood before him, it wore false skin.

At the vampire’s mention of Brigan, Oswald’s face became hard and wrinkled with anger. So this was one of Brigan’s warriors? A hiss escaped his teeth as Oswald suddenly felt nervous. If Brigan had sent the man to fight him, then surely he was planning to target the castle.

The shadow knight’s red eyes swelled to the size of saucers when he noticed a burning fist in his peripherals. The vampire’s fist would pass through a black wisp as the shadow knight suddenly vanished in the same manner of haste he had appeared. His voice echoed about Slayer, dissipating on the air:

I don’t have time for the likes of you!

One of the fairy bowmen drew a small knife from a sheath at her hip and swiftly sliced through the roll that had been flying for the enchanter’s face. Where Quina had once stood, the grass turned black, shriveling on plumes of smoke before it erupted in a pillar of fire that spread along the trees. Burning leaves and splinters rained from the boughs as the battleground became engulfed in flame.

Flying out of the fire trap was no longer possible without getting singed in the inferno. Quina unintentionally got her wish as the fairies dropped upon the ground and took cover behind the burning trees. The enchanter’s butterfly wings wafted the flames, keeping them from touching her as she started a second spell. Again, a red magic circle appeared beneath her feet as she whispered into her branch. The fairies weren’t aggressively advancing on Quina and the Valkyries. They were waiting patiently, allowing their mage to nuke Team One’s units.

The Valkyrie that had been hiding with Quina bit her lip when the hero ordered her and her team to attack. The fairies had them out-numbered and pinned - even more so with the fire engulfing the woods. She was growing anxious. They were sitting ducks waiting to be shot and killed! She glanced over at her comrade. The two made eye-contact and nodded.

The two sword maidens hurdled over the rocks and logs they had been hiding behind. With their spear weapons raised, they swiftly charged the Ringford ranks, weaving between the burning trees. The archers fired on the warriors with extraordinary precision. The two Valkyries did their best to deflect the arrows with their bucklers and swipes from their spears, but the accuracy of their shots eventually met their mark. The moment an arrow struck one of the Valkyrie’s in the thigh, her leg gave out beneath her, sending her collapsing to the ground. Before her body struck, a second arrow pierced her face and her body exploded into purple stars. Quina would see firsthand how beings died in the world of Erion. The second Valkyrie met a similar fate, but was able to impale one of the archers with her psypher before they both erupted into stars.

It was a desperate attempt, but a fire shower was soon to follow.

Team Two

A black hole appeared behind the rabbit and a red glowing blur of a sword deflected the round from the Imago Loop, sending it spinning into the missile fired by Samus. The missile detonated between the dark swordsman and Brigan. The fire engulfed the two, temporarily obscuring them from sight.

Raaah! General Brigan bellowed. His hammer clenched in his massive fist rose out of the flames as he brought it down on the shadow knight.

Oswald had been about to dodge until the kick from Mudsdale’s High Horse Power caused the stairs to tremble beneath his feet. The knight staggered and barely had a chance to block Brigan’s hammer with his sword. The weight and power behind Brigan’s hammer smashed Oswald into the steps. Stone erupted underneath his black armored body, and the general with his bearing teeth and burning eyes wasn’t about to let up. He rapidly hammered the knight. Oswald bore his teeth as he continued to guard against the general’s pummeling assault with his health decreasing. The knight’s eyes flared a bright red before his body turned into a black smoke that swiftly darted out from under the general’s hammer.

As Oswald rematerialized, he swiftly raced up the stairs toward the terrified bunny, grabbing her by the paw. General Brigan had drank from his horn and puckering his lips, a stream of fire left his inflated cheeks, rising up the stairs after the fleeing characters. Oswald managed to make it to the second floor before he released the Pooka and ordered, “Go to Gwendolyn’s room and lock the doors. Guard her with your life!”

The frightened rabbit nodded and hopped off to the princess’s bedchamber.

In a fit, General Brigan stomped his feet, shaking the entire castle. Glancing back at Team Two, he roared in frustration, AM I FIGHTING THIS BATTLE ALONE?

Oswald appeared at the top of the smoking stairwell, glaring viciously down at General Brigan and his party.

“Come to steal the ring? I see you have help this time. Do they know you plan to kill them once you obtain it?” Oswald asked.

General Brigan gazed back at Oswald and growled, “I plan to stop Demon Lord Odin with it. He is on his way here, Shadow Knight. If you had any sense you would not get in my way!”

“I am no such fool like the ones you employ. Your greed would destroy Erion much slower than what Odin would do, but the results are still the same. If you want the ring, then you will have to go through me.” Oswald pointed his sword at General Brigan and waved it over Team Two. “I will destroy your entire army if it means to protect Erion and my wife from you.”

General Brigan grinned wickedly, his fist creaking as he gripped his hammer furiously tighter. “So be it, boy. My army of heroes will make short work of you!”

Team Three

The shots fired by Fox struck down a black Valkyrie. Unlike the Valkyries Team Three had previously seen at General Brigan’s side, these Valkyries were dark. They were pitch black with red eyes that gleamed like fire. Black flames rose off of their wings as they followed Odin like crows. A second collapsed from the sky, causing a unit of ten Valkyries to slow and gaze upon the forest canopy. Now aware of the assault, they dodged around the pilot’s fire and drawing their wings in, swiftly descended upon him.

The remaining units continued to follow after Odin. The Demon Lord did not seem to care or even react to the fire his units took. It was clear his intentions were to reach the Abandoned Castle.

Shrieking like banshees, the Valkyries dove into the trees like pelicans into the ocean. Leaves leapt about them as they submerged, chasing after the agile Fox and violently swinging their spears with enough strength to rend the trees from their trunks.

This GM post reveals the results of team decisions/consequences.

XP Initiated!

Keep track of your word count XP. Overall XP will be awarded at the end of every battle.

Try to write your posts without quoting other characters. When I put people's posts in the word counter, I erase the quotes of other characters, and that seems to lower the word count depriving players of XP. So try to write without it. When XP isn't initiated, then using other character quotes doesn't matter.

P.O.

If a player is inactive for more than 3 days, then the player can be skipped over on the 4th day.

Mario pursed his lips and emitted an impressed whistle. Stroking the corner of his manly mustache, the red plumber grinned in excitement. The Demon Lord definitely looked like he was going to be a challenge. Even more, his various Valkyries. He listened to Naija reveal her handicaps. She couldn’t fly or shoot. Grasping his chin in thought, the red plumber listened to her plan whilst regarding the humongous boulder she somehow carried along. If he was going to be the front lines, then he needed to be the initiator.

Mario glanced over to Odin and his dark squab army. There were enough Valkyries to keep Team Three busy so that Odin could reach his final destination. Luigi’s team was going to be at the Abandoned Castle. Mario frowned. He didn't like the idea of such a powerful enemy reaching his brother.

Lowering his hand from his chin, Mario smirked and carelessly closed his eyes as he dunked a hand into his suspender pocket. “He’s pretty big. ‘Looks like I’m gonna hafta’ get bigger.”

Mario removed his hand from his pocket and cupped within it was a red mushroom. It had been quite some time since he last used one. The Mushroom Kingdom never really understood the effects red mushrooms had on the humans of the Mushroom Kingdom and compared them to performance-enhancing drugs. Even after the ban on their use (out of fear of the mushrooms inspiring adolescents to abuse them), Mario still grew some...but they didn’t need to know that.

Mario grinned mischievously like a boy about to play with fire. He tossed the mushroom into his mouth like popcorn and like butter, it melted across his tongue. The potent power of the mushroom instantly was absorbed into his bloodstream. He felt the magic coursing coolly through his veins before his clothing started to tighten. The tree branch beneath him started to creak, its strength tested as the red plumber began to expand. The threads of his shirt began to snap and the material stretch like a glove over the muscles that swelled against them. Mario’s suspenders popped as he grew an extra foot, making him four inches taller than his lanky brother. When Mario’s transformation was complete, he looked to where Naija positioned her rock.

Leaning forward, Mario grasped the branch between his legs and lifted his feet to rest them upon it. Springing over to Naija’s boulder, the gorilla-sized plumber snagged onto it, the trees that held it in their boughs shaking from the sudden addition of weight. Clinging to the boulder, Mario adjusted his cap, a determined frown on his face as he gazed up at the nearing Demon Lord. Reaching behind him, he removed his trusty power hammer.

”Naija!” he called. He actually got her name right. ”You can’t fly or shoot, but I hope you can throw. We’re gonna knock Big Boss out of the sky!”

She might not have recognized his voice at first for it was hulkishly deeper when he was super-sized.

The alarm that was triggered caused every lamp in the lab to go black. For five seconds, the only light that illuminated the room was from the numerous green tubes. Immediately after, a red sanguine light bathed the facility. A whining alarm disrupted the once gentle hum of machinery, and bursting from above descended mists of water.

“What’s going on here? Who pulled the alarm?!” the Mysterious Girl exclaimed.

Kevin pulled up his hood in a poor attempt to keep his headphones dry. It was too dark to see anything. Scientists were running about trying to desperately save their notes and data from perishing in the moisture.

“Find a way to shut that alarm off!” the Mysterious Girl yelled.

The scientists did nothing to save the Pokemon in the capsules - even if the drill had been a false one. Some evacuated, while a few remained to try and figure out the alarm system. The Mysterious Girl and Kevin were on alert, silently musing over the situation. They had conducted numerous experiments so why had the alarm decided to go off now?

The sudden crackling and popping of a frying control panel caused several green-lit capsules to short out. The glass walls lowered, dumping green chemicals and unconscious Pokemon on the floor.

“Oh no!” the Mysterious Girl shrieked. “The computers are frying. Bring those knuckleheads back in here we have to save the computers!”

The team rocket personnel started scrambling to catch the freed Pokemon in pokeballs before they would revive. Of course lab operations would go to hell after the boss left!
