Keep moving forward ۩
⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

@Morose Ahh, okay, I can see what you are getting at. Hrm, @Nallore what were you meaning by that? So it is clear. If it is reference to the others attacking and going there then yeah it needs to be changed and you are clear to edit. If not, clarify please. @.@

"Ha! Such spirit the little ones has. You vould learn marvelous things in the circus. You must meet the Great Bazhooli! No better man with a blade lives. I have seen him pierce falling silk and split a thread mid air. Dah, you must learn one day," the man said before kneeling down to James level. "A tiger, is big cat. Bigger than horse with fangs and clavs that rip flesh like hot knife through butter. Myska is the Grand Duchesses. He is white with black stripes and eyes the color of the glacier at vaters edge. His roar can shake vindow panes and strike fear into even Soulless. You meet him, ride perhaps if he take liking to you," he said before grinning broadly.

As he entertained the youth with his little story the other nodded towards Virigina. "Yes, come nov. Ve escort or if you prefer, ride vith us, vill be faster," he said before turning and briskly walking down the steps, his partner close behind as they mounted their horses. Holding out his hand to Virginia he awaited her decision. The one that had been telling tales to James smiled broadly over towards the young boy. "Dah, ride vith me little one. I shov you hov ve ride in Mother Russia!"

The winds picked up slightly in the city of London, and over by the home of the Talniks a thin strip of paper floated in the wind. Pale and rough around the edges it wafted on the air, spinning from a known source. Dew had collected on the windows of the homes because of the weather. London was always a foggy city and it was normal that this time of the night would cause such steaming of the glass on homes from the inside and out. The paper napped and landed against the glass of Thalkins room. On it it was clear that something that had been written in a language he knew too well. 甩繩馬騮

Elizaveta Romanova

Location: Russian Imperial Tent City: Her Tent

The Grand Duchesses brow quirked high at the mention of a salad, her eyes slowly traveling to Vlad as she basically made this face. She knew that wasn't going to go over well with the Great Bazhooli. Watching the two exit the tent she looked over towards Myska and sighed. Veta half wanted to see exactly what Vlad would do over the whole salad comment but she needed to get ready and it was probably best they had left the tent otherwise she would have gotten comfortable and watched the show. It was probably going to be more entertaining than the actual circus itself; for personal reasons only.

"Dank you Mary," Veta said gratefully towards her new friend as she finally was able to slip out of bed and start preparing for the Graveolases arrival. While she had a feeling that Mary would be open to hear her proposal to add the Russians ways to the council she did not place much fate in the rest of the council. This was not the first time they had tried though it was her first attempt. Perhaps God had brought her and Mary together for this very purpose, to change things for the better. To allow people to become more ready. To expand on their knowledge for it was lacking in many things. Yes, having more places for people to train would take funding away from the current ones but for her money was not what was most important. Survival was and if Soulless were spreading it would be the councils only hope of survival. The alternative was to have two councils, one official and one of the renegades. Elizaveta would side with the latter if it came to that.

Turning her attention to Mary she listened carefully as it was explained to her just what this place was. It sounded horrific. A place where weddings could be done without tradition? Without the law. What protected either side from forced marriages because of this place? Turning so that Mary could pull her laces tight she looked at herself in the mirror. "I vonder if his scarcity vas because of something sinister or just cowardliness," she said in passing. "Ve must stop vhatever his plan is for the young voman though. Be it Soulless or something else, it is foul nevertheless. Constantins vision, the pain."

As Mary finished Veta turned around and looked everything a Grand Duchess should on receiving the council. She gave a the nun a look of sternness and her jaw was set firmly before she continued. Reaching out she placed a gentle hand on her friends shoulder. "To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth vill no longer cause terror," she said quoting the bible. "After the meeting, I ride for Gretna. Tell not Vlad, he vould not like that I vould leave protection of circus. Yet I must and he is needed here." Outside Veta's tent things were not as calm but it seemed that someone was up to something other than the Grand Duchess.
@Nallore Yeah Edit in the bug out bag. It's early and I might be missing something while I read it but I don't see why she needs to edit the post itself @Morose. I didn't see her anything mentioning Gavin or that others were attacking it, just that Peachtree City is where Eden is, which is something Riley would know having lived in Newnan for a while, that is just general information for people that live there. If I am missing something, please let me know, it's only 6 am.... And I haven't had coffee...

Evelina Lucas

Location: Oak Tree -> Kitchen House

Wanting to ensure that their newest arrival was not overwhelmed with too many people to begin with, Evelina made quick steps away from the Oak Tree and towards the old farm house that had been re-purposed to be the kitchen on the grounds. It had been a home at one point, back when the plantations main house was being constructed but once that was completed it was turned into the kitchen. It was a good idea for the deep south back in a time before air conditioning. Keeping that much heat away from the main rooms during the long summer months. Winter was not something that they had to worry about even without a loop. It was quaint in it's appearance but Eve had to admit it could do with a fresh coat of paint yet that was something they never bothered with. It would just be undone come the reset of the day so why bother. It hadn't crossed her mind to do it before the loop was set in place.

Making her way of the few steps until she reached the patio Evelina could smell something brewing, thankfully it smelled like food and not some other concoction. The Dice had no doubt in her mind that Gio and Nancy would be up to their usual bag of tricks today and in abundance. It had been sometime since they welcomed new faces that would remain on the grounds, so she had already braced herself. As her hand came to the door knob she turned it carefully and pushed the door open, letting it swing freely as she stood there. No bucket of water or oatmeal came down, that was a good sign. Perhaps not good, they were probably planning something far worse but at least she didn't need to go and change her clothing already.

Walking into the Kitchen House she stopped in her tracks as she spotted Gilbert sitting there. Her jaw tightened slightly as she let out a breath before she spoke as she approached him. "1Γιατί δεν με εκπλήσσει? Καθίστε εδώ σε τίποτα, αλλά θα θεωρούνταν ένα πανί ύφανσης πριν από χίλια χρόνια. Δεν έχετε τρόπους? Ξέρετε ότι λαμβάνουμε αρκετά νέα παράδοξα σήμερα το πρωί. Είναι αυτό που θέλετε να τους χαιρετήσετε? Θα περίμενα τόσο πολύ από τον Γκιό και τον Νανσύ, αλλά εσείς? she rambled in a huff as she gripped her pipe in her hand. Taking a long puff from it she let the smoke flow out from her lips before she considered continuing. Then she smelled something else in the air, sniffing slowly as she started to roam around the room and finally stopped over at the oven. Reaching over she grasped the handle and pulled the door open, peeking inside. She shut it abruptly before her head snapped around and her eyes narrowed towards him.

"2Σοβαρά Gilbert, έχουμε μια γραμμή στην οποία να στεγνώσει τα ρούχα μας. Ακόμα κι αν δεν το έχουμε, έχετε άλλο ένα παντελόνι?" It was more than obvious that she was had crossed the line from proper to vexed as she spoke. Lady Lucas normally held her adopted Yorkshire accent and English language at all times but when she became stressed she would often slip into another language from her past. Greek tended to be the one she spoke to Gilbert in when he had unnerved her because of his improper ways. It was the language she had first spoken to him in and is always dwindled back to that at moments such as this. Sadly she could not say this was the first time she had found him in his underwear sitting in the kitchen.

Bringing her pipe back to her mouth she took a puff, letting the smoke curl from her lips as she spoke again. "3Λοιπόν, τι έχετε να πείτε για τον εαυτό σας?" It wasn't as if she expected a good excuse from him for this. She was in all honesty half expecting him to just smirk, shrug, and continue eating. He might have been the first of them to come into consciousness, therefor making him the eldest on some playing field but there were many times she wondered if he just wouldn't grow up in some respects or if he just liked tormenting her like this. It could go either way.

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Ville au Camp: Oak Tree

This was to be expected, lady Lucas had warned Alicia that people arrived very distorted and confused. Alicia herself had but had readily accepted that she was dead considering the memories she had of her death. Justice was never a place for justice... Taking a breath she crouched down and tilted her head to the side. "Okay, let's try this again slowly. My... name... is... Alicia..." she said slowly, drawing it out far more than really needed to be done but she had already told the girl her name. If she couldn't retain that, they might be shit out of luck. No, she had this. Just take it slowly, ease the girl into the whole death thing. Don't scare her or anything like that.

"Bitch, you're dead." Yeah, that was great. Just rip that bandage right off. Wiggling her brows a bit she smiled towards her. "Don't know this Niesha but I do know Newnan. Hell I used to live there, guess it was before yer ass showed up," she said pulling the clip board out from behind her and looking down at the paper. "Oh hell, you came into Newnan the day I died. Ain't that a bitch. That was a fucked up day." Shrugging a bit she looked back over towards Sophia and righted herself, pressing on her knee slightly to give her leverage as she stood up.

"I know its a lot to take in but you aren't in Kansas anymore, hell you ain't even in Georgia anymore. This is Louisiana, and it ain't 2010 chica. It's 1943," she said as she took a step back and leaned against the tree, crossing her arms over her chest and tucking the clipboard under her arm as she did. It seemed that Alicia needed to work on her whole greeting new people thing but hey, it was her first. As far as she was concerned it wasn't half bad. It could have been worse, a lot worse.

"Listen, yeah sucks to be dead but hey, get this. None of them damned flesh eaters waltzing around here," Alicia said trying to lighten the mood a bit. Yeah, there weren't walkers about her but there could be on any mission they got sent on and there were worse things that went bump in the night from what she had been told. She wasn't going to tell Sophia that though, that shit could wait and Alicia figured one of the Emendators could break her in on that stuff.

Diamond District: "Okay, no roses, nothing weird," Genny said making a few notes before leading Mali into one of the rooms. The lights were low, a long table was in the center of the room with a counter against the wall. Various small tables and pillows were laid out about the place with different unlit candles laying about. Genny stepped in and lit a few, pulling out various lotions and such from under the counter and setting them up. "I went with just a basic vanilla to play it safe. Nothing harsh," she said before smiling over towards Mali. "Your masseuse will be in shortly. You can hang your robe up there. Once you are ready just push this button," she said pointing over towards the door. "Then climb under the sheet and lay on her stomach. Enjoy," she said before excusing herself and closing the door behind her to let Mali disrobe in private.

Police Department: Station 54: "Kind of," Roy said as he sat down in his chair and took a sip of his coffee. "She's friends with Agent Tinder, went to high school with him. She knew Lawson before he moved here," he said as he looked over at Riley. Whatever she was talking about to Felix sounded like something but he wasn't going to interrupt her. Whatever it was, she at least seemed to be able to understand his ramblings a bit.

"She's helping out on the case, civilian yes but she can handle herself," he added as he leaned up. "And I trust her." Shrugging a bit he took another sip of his coffee. "But if you don't want to talk in front of her we can go the conference room while she finishes her call," he suggested as he motioned over to one of the open rooms. It had windows so he could keep an eye on Riley while she was there but it would give them enough privacy.

Club Afterdark: The woman looked over the top of her glasses as Bart came over to her and spoke to her. Letting out a bit of a huff she glanced towards the bar and cocked a brow in Scott's direction. "Ma'am, not Miss. I'm old enough to be your grandmother," she said as she turned her attention back towards her papers. Scott took notice and started to come out from behind the bar but as Bart continued she gave a hand signal and he stayed put but kept an eye on the situation.

Leaning back she pulled her glasses off and tossed them on a folder before she draped her arm over the back of the booth and eyed the young man. "Sure you want to poke your nose into things? Justice isn't the most forgiving town," she warned and then glanced down at the cat. "Careful, that furball might end up on the menu," she said with a cold smirk as several of her crew came in to the club. It was obvious they were part of the kitchen staff by the way they were dressed.

"下午,他是个问题," one of the men asked as he walked by and eyed Bart.

"我可以处理他," she said and the man nodded before pushing the door to the kitchen open and walking through. It swinging shut before the woman began to speak again. "Sure you want to know?"

Kyra

Location: The Tower - Second Floor
Interacting With: The General Population
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"What..." Kyra said as she stepped into the room, Ash trotting along beside her with a bunch of fabric in his jowls. He sat on his hind legs, looking as proud as a peacock as his tail thumped on the ground. "...the hell..." she was finally able to finish as she spotted the backside of Thomas. Taking a deep breath she nearly snapped at the man but it seemed that Satilla beat her to it. A little smile came to her lips. The girl was coming into her own and at least found some authority in her voice when it came to Thomas. She was growing up, even in the short time that Kyra had known her. It was nice to see, many others would have taken steps backwards but not Satilla.

Shaking her head she let Satilla deal with Thomas and looked over at the man. She wasn't buying it. "Yeah, what's wrong with you friend?" she asked as she stood there with her sword in hand. "Don't tell me those walking cesspools were for our protection against a plague," she added, her voice seething with sarcasm.

"Quite you fools! Get out!" the hooded man growled in a hushed voice.

"Oh yes of course," Kyra whispered but her voice was just as sarcastic as ever. "Not leaving, not yet until we get some damn answers."

Lady Luck

"Knew you couldn't keep ya trap shut," Anisa said with a smirk. Jahosafat grinned and laughed a bit before nodding.

"Oh I should have know better than to make a wager with my captain. Truly a misstep on my part. It seems you have knack for reading people and knowing them quickly. Tis a shame, that piece would have been most welcome but then again, I know I would only let it burn a hole in my pocket for so long before it was whipped out and put into use. I must be a bit over jubilous right this moment. Fine drinks, fine people, fine times to be had!" Now that he wasn't being bet to stay quiet, it seemed he was making up for lost time.

Anisa knew she would put a bullet through his skull if this kept up. Pulling out the coin she flicked it in the air and Jahosafat caught it as it nearly struck him in the chest. He rose a brow and looked at his captain in a very quizzical manner. "Go, find a whore, find a companion, find a damn dog. Just get out of here and burn off some of that mouth of yours," she said in a quip before taking a sip of her drink.

"If you insist! Yes, yes, a bottle of Bordeaux my good woman and you!" he said picking out a woman as she was walking by. "Ladies, gentlemen. I must away!" he said excusing himself as he flipped his hat about before placing it on his head and running his finger along the brim. Giving a wink he darted off, grabbed the woman and began dancing with her across the floor towards the stairs, picking up the bottle that was being rushed after him as he went.

As the door shut to another anonymous room Anisa let out a sigh of relief. "Thank fucking god..." she muttered before turning her attention back to the table. "No, it's fine and I have no damn idea," she said before looking over at Jackie and Fitz as they introduced themselves. "Alright Jackie, what's your..." she started before her words trailed off as Daphne addressed Fitz with familiarity.

How did she know the man? She didn't this quickly to the new crew members, had she known this man before they landed? If so, how did the captain not know him herself? Daphne had been on her crew for years, the original crew was close. They really didn't have "friends." So, that left one reasonable conclusion. She had met him when she should have been working on the ship like the rest of the folk. And if she was acting more open to some stranger she must met over her crewmates, it didn't sit well. Eying Daphne she leaned back in her seat and ran her finger over the rm of her glass. "So, Daphne, who's your friend?" she asked in a terse voice.

@rivaan @Pundii @Morose @FantasyChic @Nallore @Sigil @ONL
October 4th, 1924 - 3:45 P.M. Local Time

*Note: Okay - remember to PM me BEFORE you post if you are in Vera's office! (This is ONL, Morose, Pundii)

Streets Of Cairo: "Oh well Lass, don't ya worry. I can show you a few quick stitches that will make things easier," Rosheen said with a smile. "Why don't ya finishing up what yer eating, go and buy some fabrics and such. I have a break coming up soon, we can go upstairs and I can show you a few things. Probably have something for you to wear as well that you can borrow for the evening so you won't draw as much attention," she said in a kind voice before excusing herself and going back to her duties in the food booth. She wanted to get things taken care of so she could spare a few minutes for Mosi.

The sellers in the area seemed to have taken the hint when it came to Mosi due to Rosheens warning. Yet that didn't mean they weren't watching her like a hawk though, waiting to see where she would go and what she would do. All of them were watching her, all but the elderly couple that Rosheen had pointed out for Mosi to buy fabrics from. They seemed to be content on just going about their day as normal. One adjusting the various fabrics to keep the place tidy, the other at the loom actually creating a new fabric.

Vera, Peter, & George

Location: Egyptian Museum: Vera's Office

George remained quiet as he sat there, keeping his head down and his shoulders slumped somewhat. He was used to this. Out in public few drew notice of them or once he passed them they took it as a trick their eyes had played on them. In close quarters like this though it made it difficult to hide things. He was trying to keep from being noticed so much but it seemed certain things could not be helped and he had made Peter a promise, so he was holding to that. They had a deal. This was his end of it, yet right then the only thing he wanted to do was go back to his room.

Neema sighed as she looked between the two that were having a lot of difficultly remaining upright. "At this rate neither be able to sleep this evening because they are take many naps," she said with a slight smile and half a laugh.

"Trust me darling, everything will be fine. Just take a deep breath," Peter said softly to Vera as he kept an arm wrapped around the back of her waist. Seemed William was intent on seeing what all the commotion was about and from the sound of his voice he finally understood what had riled Vera so much. George looked up from his spot. Normally he would have risen to shake the mans hand and introduce himself since William seemed to be holding it together but as Vera came into sight he decided it would probably be best that he remained where he was.

"Vera," Peter said as they came over. She didn't run this time, in fact her feet kept moving towards the man. He had startled her like nothing ever had before but now she knew what she was facing. To a degree. Swallowing the lump in her throat she stepped away from Peter and motioned for him to just stay put before smoothing the front of her skirt down and pushing her curls back from her brow. Walking over to George she held her hand out to the man. It was trembling slightly but she glued her feet to the ground, she wasn't running off this time.

"Mr. Benaszewski. I do apologize for my atrocious behavior earlier. I seemed to have been caught quite unaware but it is no excuse for such scandalous behavior. I hope you can forgive my actions. You are most welcome here and it is an honor to meet one of Peters comrades in arms from the war," she said as she tilted her head to the side and forced herself to look at the mask as well as the rest of his features.

George slowly looked up to Vera and a tickle of a smile pulled at the visible corner of his mouth. Reaching out he stood up carefully and took her hand. Instead of shaking it, he leaned down and kissed it gently before releasing it. Vera froze and nearly felt herself run off but as he righted himself she focused on the one eye she could see. He seemed to be a gentleman and a small voice in her mind reminded her of something. Judge not a book by its cover.

"Mmm, nice to meet you Lady Munn," he said quietly as he let go of her hand and gripped his hat again between his fingers.

"Please, do call me Vera. If anyone has earned to refer to me on a first name basis it is you good sir," she said as she stood there.

"Mmm alright, Vera," George said, smiling a little more.

Peter quirked a brow. Vera was all about formality, to let someone call her freely by her first name was quite the feat but he wasn't going to question it. "Now, that is better. My best mate and my girl. Wonderful day this is turning out to be," Peter chuckled as he rapt his cane on the ground a few times before stepping over and smiling broadly towards George. "Did I not tell you what an angel she is?"

"Have to be to put up with you," George said as he looked over towards Peter and smirked. Vera found herself covering her mouth as she nearly snorted out a laugh.

"Oh dear, do not tell me you agree with him?" Peter asked with a grin as he looked over towards Vera. Vera shrugged a bit and dropped her hand.

"I said nothing," she said frankly before looking over towards George and smiling a bit before it dawned on her there were others in the room. "Oh my, are they going to be alright?" she asked towards Lauren and Neema.

Aziza Tarek

Location: Her Quarters - Outside The Lord Majors Office

"I look forward to it," Aziza said in a soft voice as she leaned over and brushed her lips to Harrys cheek. Leaning back she smiled at him before standing up. "Yes, let's go check in with the Lord Major and see if we can be put to use with all this," she suggested as she gathered her shawl and stepped over to the door.

Making her way out of her room she began to head towards the Lord Majors office. She was glad that she had been to the barracks on several occasions. The past knowledge gave her ample grasp on her bearings. It wasn't long before she rounded the corner and came down the hallway where Reginald's office was located. Spotting Haakon and Josephine she perked a brow. She hadn't expected to see either of them there. Swallowing slightly she smiled towards them as she walked over.

"Mr. Elvsgaard, Miss Clark, hope everything is alright," she said in as kind a voice as she could muster. She still wasn't sure about Haakon, she hadn't seen either of them since that morning and she wondered if anything had happened to make things more difficult for her than they already where. Looking at the door she refrained from knocking for a moment. "Sorry I cannot stay and speak for a minute but I do need to check in with the Lord Major," she explained quickly. She could have taken a minute but right then she wasn't sure if she should.

Rapping on the door she stood there and announced herself, not bothering to wait on the posted guard next to the door to do it for her. "Reginald, it's Aziza. May I speak with you?"
