⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Jahosafat & Atticus & Anisa

Location: Prometheus: Upper Deck: Captains Quarters (2), Upper Deck: Single Blue (3), Lower Deck: Infirmary (6)
Skills: Medical

Flopping down on his bed, Atticus grinned to himself. This evening hadn't been half bad at all. Granted things could have gone a bit smoother in the love department but as far as one of his cardinal sins went, it went perfectly well. He had been able to indulge a lot that evening and it would make going out in the black for god only knew how long. That didn't mean however that he wouldn't sin at all while they were on the ship. He was human after all and being human meant you sinned. That was okay, all was forgiven in the end. That was why they had a savior.

A dark skinned savior with piercing eyes. Okay, the doctor wasn't a savior in the same sense that Atticus referred to one as but he had saved people in the past, so he was savior enough. It was odd perhaps to some but the ever debonair man that Jahosafat was took a back seat when he was in doctor mode. Now that didn't mean he was any less charming or handsome, somethings couldn't be changed and shouldn't be. Yet he was a doctor after all and it didn't matter how many years he had spent in research for the Alliance, he was part of this crew now and honestly it never mattered what side he was on in his mind. If he had a patient, he had a patient and right now that was exactly what he had. A patient.

Anisa was glad she wasn't that patient because her patience with the good doctor was running low right then. Now that they were back on the ship it meant she was back in full Captain mode. That meant that she had to look out for her crew. That meant that Reaver Popsicle was a concern. It was something she had intended talking to Jahosafat about when they got back tonight but then again she hadn't counted on them having new crew members and a person who was injured in the infirmary. Granted Mei had out thought not only Foy but her second. If that Reaver thawed out, Mei could handle it. That was if she knew. Maybe that was information that needed to be given out then again maybe it wasn't only God knew.

Speaking of which. Rolling over on his bed he went back to the little Giddeon Bibles he had pulled out and made another count. He had to share the word. Even in the black, the lovers of god still came door knocking. You never got away from it. He grinned again and chuckled as he noted a couple of the bibles had bent pages. Oh it wasn't from reading. These all were ones had at one point or another tossed in Dorothys direction. She of course would throws books of science right back at him. It was their way but eventually they both would run out of ammunition, so they would have to trade back off to reload. Seemed he would be down a few shots once he handed these out.

Yet handing one out to Mei right then would have to wait, she was injured so she would be in the infirmary. He could wait on that while Jahosafat tended to her. Which that was exactly what the ebony enchanter was doing. Looking over to Mei he gave the woman a broad smile as she explained what had happened. He had to chuckle a bit over the fact she had gotten the better of his man Foy. "Well I declare that will be a tid bit of information that I shan't let the good man forget in this life time though I will say this, if a woman is going to get the better of me I would prefer it to be one as skilled as you, and your make-shift nurse," he said as he examined the stitching. "These stitches are impeccable. She has wonderful training in her work, and I don't mean that of the second skin variety. She had been formally trained in medicine. She managed to reknit your muscles to reduce strain. I needn't do anything but give it a clean dressing at this point. I will recheck your leg again tomorrow," he said as he turned and gathered what he needed.

While Jahosafat tended to Mei, Anisa got out of her dinner dress and slipped off her shoes. She checked the shoes for marks and then put everything away. She needed to get back into her usual wear so she could speak to the crew about the new job but then again she had said she would talk about that in the morning. She could always just slip into bed and get some sleep. It was probably a good idea considering how much she had drank that evening. Then again, putting a little more on her stomach and getting some water wouldn't be a bad idea either. Saying fuck it to herself she grabbed her silk robe and slipped it on. Tying it closed at her waist before slipping her feet into her bedroom shoes and walking over to the sink to wash her face. Once she got her make up off she would head out but first, water proof mascara was still a bitch, even in the black.

"Oh yeah, Fitz first," he said to himself as he sat up and swung his feet off the side of his bed. The kid would be the least likely to slam the door in his face, at least he figured that would be the way.

Location: Eden: Between Entry and Grand Gallery, Service Corridor, Gluttony

Thalia took a breath as she wiped some of the blood off herself and glanced around. She had been told a few things about this place and about the people that lived here but now that she was upclose and seeing it for herself it was a lot to take in. Anytime someone told her about something bad that had happened she always took it with a grain of salt. Not because she didn't believe people but she knew there were always two sides to the story and people always embellished some what to make it seem worse, people for the most part wanted sympathy. Yet in this instance it was not the case. If anything, she hadn't been prepared enough for when she entered the main building of Eden.

Why was this place still standing was a common thought right then going through not only her mind but Gavins as well. Than checked her gun and then scavenged the dead body. Why had Ash let this place stand for so long? Maybe he hadn't known just how bad it was or maybe he just hadn't want to put everyones lives at risk by trying to take this place down. Yet it was seeming like it wasn't that hard but then again, they had come in with a tank. That did give them a bit of an advantage.

Whether or not they had an advantage didn't matter to Gavin as he pushed into another room. This had to be gluttony from the smell of it. bodies lay scattered on the floor, all of them with overly large bellys. It looked like these people had been fore fed until they died. Whoever set this hell on earth up must have watched Seven one too many times. It made the country boy wonder if there was a box he would have to find a severed head in. After what he was seeing now, a head wouldn't be do bad.

Lola smirked over at Beatrice. "Thankies mate. Sometimes a gurl has to just keep swimming." A wink later and sure as shit Lola was sounding like Dory as he skipped down the hallway and behind the bar as she sung.

"Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming swimming swimming
What do we do we swim, swim, swim
OH HO HO How I love to swim
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim you want to swim"

By the time she got done swimming she had taken out another Edenite from the otherside of the bar, Gavin had popped off two rounds in gluttony and taken them out. He had heard Thalia yell clear and wanted to get as close to her as possible. Thana had made her way back down the hallway of Lust and spotted Alexander. Giving him a nod she moved passed him and started to follow Thalia deeper down the main corridor.

@Strange Welcome to our little slice of insanity. Padded rooms are on the right, straitjackets are on the left. As far as jumping off, yes, being an author will help you with this. Just think of this as a collaborate book than a single author and you should do fine. There are finer points to learn but it will vary by each GM. In my signature are links to several tutorials and other resources, a more complete list can be found in the articles section in the index. Have any questions, just drop a line to myself or one of the numerous people on the forum. It's a great place.

@Mistiel Oh I just gotta ~wanders over and gives Mistiel a huge hug~ You are such a doll!
@Remipa Awesome Sounds good to me and thank you for understanding. I hope the fall brings calm waters for you, would love to have you on board as a long term player. ^^
>TFW you are creating a whole new world for an RP series and hit your groove
@Remipa Awesome Do you fully believe you will be able to commit when school starts again? If not, then it might not be a good idea to apply. Reason being this is a long term RP, most here have been in the Rp over two years. A two to three month thing isn't going to be really worth bringing in a new player. If you believe you can commit during the school year as well, then sure thing, would love to have you apply. We always are open to welcoming fresh meat, just want you to know what is expected. I'm not an easy person to RP for. (Just being upfront about it is all.)

Aton was glad they decided to come along for dinner. He knew of the perfect place but first things first. He had to finish this demonstration. He was a bit behind but thankfully he knew what to do to make up for it and instead of continuing to pause when he was explaining he kept working. Looking over at the bone Mosi had picked out he nodded towards her. It was a good choice and it actually helped him somewhat. Because of the bone and such, he could go without shinning the metal for the blade. It would look better in the worked darker finish that was natural with that bone. That would cut the amount of time down on this demonstration by a great deal. That was fine with him for as much as he enjoyed his work, the heat from the hearth and being in front of so many did make it a bit less enjoyable. Enough was enough for one day.

Back at the museum there was a lot going on and both Vera and Neema had a good amount to say but that all stopped when the loud mouth from the barracks came in and then the Lord Major spoke. Veras eyes widened as she reached out for the arm of a chair and slowly sat herself down. It was beyond tragic. They hadn't died because of anything going on, they hadn't been murdered in the streets for some random reason. This was just some fluke accident that had occurred. Two people trying to get away from trouble, to get to a safe place. And because they had decided to be safe, they ended up dead. The irony was not lost on the situation.

"Good gracious..." was all Vera could manage to say. She was not one that emoted well. Her dry senses tended to get in the way of that. She was either left flustered or she found herself hyper focused. This time it was hyper focus as she stood back up and went back to work. A question sticking out in her mind and before Neema could jump on the chance to reply to anything Vera looked over to the Lady Kingston.

"Let us pull out a global map and begin marking off the latitude and longitude. Those coordinates do sound familiar," she said as she walked over to the wall and began to pull down different maps from the top hanging to find a large one of the mapped world.

While she was tending to that Neema took the chance to look over towards the Lord Major. "I am sorry for your loss sir," was all she could say. She did not know them so it was of no personal loss to her but it seemed to upset the man so she gave her condolences before looking over towards Mahendra. "Yes he is right but there is more to it than that. In terms you may understand, they are the anti Knights Templar of Ancient Egypt. They fought against the Garamantes, protectors of Isis," she said as she sat down and took a breath. Those were ones she had not spoken of in many years. Not since Rome.

Back at the demonstration, Aton was wrapping up and dismissing those that had come to watch. He had finished the weapon and smiled as he looked down at it. Turning he walked over to Josephine, Mosi, and Akhmed. "For you," he said to Mosi as he handed it over to her. "Now, who's hungry?"

Evelina glanced back into the dining room and her expression was one of no worry. "Just the latest of abilities presenting themselves, it is nothing to be concerned over," she said in an even tone. To her it wasn't. Abilities manifested when they chose to and while they could be troublesome and cause emotions to run high, once focused one could control them with ease. Each person that was here was born for each of these abilities when they were brought back. A gift as it were from the cosmos. If that were really true, Evelina had no idea, yet she accepted it nonetheless. It was as good an explanation as any for why they would suddenly be able to do something they couldn't before. Perhaps it was a trade off. All the skills they once possessed were now gone. What did a mind do when it was left with sudden free space? As with any computer, it found a new use for the space. Apparently these new abilities were what replaced it. Perhaps it was the way the mind coped with the sudden loss. It was better than a mind collapsing in on itself.

"Yes, I am sure you have many tales to tell, I can think of at least one the children might find humerus," Evelina said before looking back over at Faith. The pun she let slip was completely intended, Sophia had learned a strong lesson that day. Never kiss a corpse. (The underlying lesson she hoped was to pay more attention to her surroundings.) "Always keep your cover as close to the truth as possible, it does make it easier to recall. Here I would not worry Telling them you are from the future where the dead roam freely is truth and one they shan't believe. Like so many before them being told the world was round, truth is hard to swallow when it goes against everything you believe. That is why it is better to have an idea than a belief."

The Dice could only smile slightly in Nancy's direction. It was true, knowing too much could hinder a person from time to time. You could over think things instead of going with your gut yet if she had to chose Evelina would always chose to be over prepared than under. She hated chance, such irony as it was. She preferred facts, things that were set in stone, deduction, reasoning. Why she had been given the dice was beyond her. It was something she had thought about many centuries before but did not bother dwelling on it now. Some answers were never to come to certain questions. Life did not mean a right to knowledge.

"Yes, Schrödinger is a bit of a mystery is he not?" Evelina commented in passing with a slight grin on her features as she gave a sideways glance towards Gilbert. "At least he isn't as troublesome as Mr. Clops." She left it at that and turned her attention back towards Alexandria.

"Only because of experience. That is something you will gain during your time here. This is just the first of two abilities that will present themselves. Everyone has two. The first seems to be the quickest to come along and the most traumatic but that is to be expected. The second could takes weeks, months, even years to present. All we do know is that it will in time. What is will be, we do not know. Yet when it comes you will be better able to handle it than this one at first, and simply because you will have experience. You have a life time now to learn, many of them," she said in a cool voice before glancing out the window. It was growing dark.

"Please do pair up with which ever one of us you all feel most comfortable with and we shall begin. Can someone locate Alicia, it is time for her to greet the people at the edge of the grounds."

October 4th, 1924 - 10:15 p.m.
Cairo, Egypt

"Yeah, yeah, I'll get back shortly," Alicia said as she knelt down and peered down the alleyway. It was full of local law enforcement. This wasn't boding well for her to get in to investigate and the last thing George needed to do was push his way in. His face was far to memorable.

"Have you cover story yet?" she asked as she ducked back down in the shadows and looked over towards George. He didn't say anything but simply nodded his head. When she asked if would care to share he shook his head no. That was how it was a lot of the time with him. There were very few people he actually spoke with and one of those had just died.

"Why the fuck do you think this happened?"

"Punishment," he said simply. Alicia quirked a brow and wondered just who needed punishing on a level like this. Sure Peter had snuck out and broke the rules but this wasn't a death worthy offense in her eyes. Even if it was, how would the monsters of the night know that? Yet from the look in Georges eye, he wasn't speaking about Peter just then.

"What the fuck did you do?" she asked, a light finally dawning on her.

"Enough."

Millicent Wyndham

Location: Conservatory, Heaton Hall, Heaton Park, Manchester, England
Skills: Sketching

The questions that Colette posed caused Millicent to come to a still point as she held the charcoal in her hands. Never having considered Rutherford she had no idea just where he enjoyed being or if he would remain in London. It was something that had not even crossed her mind. Yet the question was out there now and she had to ponder it, at least to be able to answer it on some level. She barely knew the man other than the rumors that swirled around him and she only knew those because her sisters, well sister now, was such a gossip monger. Granted, the last twenty four hours she had spent with the man had opened her eyes and let her feel that he was far worse than any rumor that followed him.

Thinking on it, she took into account the fact she would have to wed him and her fathers holdings. They would come into his control because of the laws in the land. If her fathers company was what he was after it would mean he would have to remain in England and more than that, London itself. Yet if he were to sell it, she had no idea where they would end up. He was though a peer in England so he would most likely remain but she had heard his family had lands in Scotland as well. Would she ever see her family again? She didn't know.

Blinking she came out of her thoughts and looked over to Colette for a moment, as if studying her before looking back down at her pad and continuing to sketch. "Once we are wed I am not sure but I would assume that we are to remain in England, and spending a high amount of time in London because of my fathers shipping company. Richard will most likely want to have a hands on account of business. Whether I will be with him or in the country I am not sure. It wasn't something we discussed when we became engaged," she answered honestly. Granted she left out the part that she would rather die than to let the man get his hands on her family business but she couldn't pass to the other side because she had to remain to ensure that her sister never fell to the fate her life was now destined.

"For myself personally I do enjoy England but would prefer to spend my time in the country than to live in London. I find it far to busy for my tastes yet as the future wife of an Earl I am sure that I will have additional duties to fulfill other than the wifely kind," she added after a moment. Glancing around she got up and moved around a bit, it looked as if she was checking to see if anyone was around before turning and stepped back towards her seat. "I am glad you feel welcome here but do be careful of whom you befriend, there are wolves in sheeps clothing everywhere," she said as she sat back down. Hopefully that would be a warning for the young woman, it was all she could say then, fear was obvious in her eyes.

Elizaveta Romanova

Location: London England: Regent Park -> Corner of Portland Place & Oxford Street
Skills: English, Zverey, Agility

"Yes, that seems most prudent, let us go," Elizaveta said as she leaned into Myska and let him follow Mary swiftly. She didn't take control of him or try to guide his movements. She just hung on and hoped he would follow, if she needed to have a heavier hand then she would but there was always a chance he would turn on her. This was something one came to used to when they were working with wild beats. Myska had turned on her before and she doubted it would never happen again. She had found over the years it was best to let Myska do what he needed with as little direction from her as possible.

It was in his hands but she did not fear him. She was in the hands of God and one of gods chosen as she saw it. They were on a a path now, one she felt that god had placed them on. He would protect and guide them. Yes, perhaps Virginia wasn't exactly the religious type but Mary did not know that for sure. If she was, she just wasn't vocal about it. Perhaps that was it. She just wished to be private in the matter. Religion many times for one was a personal thing and one they did not wish to speak about to others. They all had just met recently and even if the Circus had taken in her brother and they were in a sense family, they still did not know each other well. Yet they had time, this road would be long and she felt the journey would be difficult.

Thankfully for them right then, it was not. They were able to make their way out of Regent park to the west and then to start heading south. Things were going as well as could be expected and even better. Yes, the hand of god was protecting them as they made their way into London proper and through the streets. It was late now, so that make things much easier. Being able to rush through the streets on clear paths. There were only a hand full of hankeys out at this time. Much of the people that lived in this part of the city had fled and headed back to their summer homes. Everything was lining up for them and Elizaveta hoped it would continue this way. Things worked out the way they did for a reason and if they could get out of London before the Circus knew what was going on, all the better. "Jericho's is where we must cross, let us pray God continues to give us his speed."

Ludwig Zimmer

Location: Main Tent, Russian Tent City, Regent Park, London, England, Europe, Northern Hemisphere, Planet Earth -> A WHOLE NEW WORLD! (Aka outside of the main tent)
Skills: English, Observation, Mental Stamina, Unacknowledged Soulless/Countries

Oh yes, the world, the world of cold and ice. Hard and fragile, went and dripping when the warmth hit it. It didn't matter though, the deed had been done and for sure he was being praised. His magic beans had done the job. Beans, magical beans, magic, tricks, slight of hands, hands with fingers. finger that could count and wave and grasp. Grasping at straws. Straw that was harvested in the sun. That looked like shimmering strands of hair from giants. Straw like hair and arms hard and lean. Lean, mean, beans. Beans, magical beans. Yes, the magical beans had saved them all.

"Yes, see, y magical beans. Very good. They make so many happy. Not mad. see not mad. No time for mad when one can be so glad to have magical beans. Also good on a hot summers day. But not to cook, ever to cook, cooking magical beans is just silly. Only a crazy person would boil magical beans. Takes all the ice away," he said with a grin as his finger came up and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. His knees buckled slightly as he spun around and looked at the work he had done. He was a big kid now, playing with the big boys. Or at least the big top. That was good enough for him. For now.

"Yes, yes, little one, come. Let us find a whole new world!" he said as he held his hand out and it was taken. Fingers laced and steps taken. He would have gladly shown Mr. Talk the way but he was sleeping and who disturbs a sleeping man? Why only those that wanted Mad Men. Let him sleep and take him to where dreams dance, dancing with fairies. Not him of course. Perhaps in his dreams he could ride Dieter. The ferret, not his brother. His brother wouldn't like that. It would make him very mad and none were mad there. No, this was a joyous time. The fires of disaster were out and frozen in time. Frozen. So just let it go and dream happy dreams on the winds and play with lights of tomorrow, tomorrow land. Far away from here where all were glad and none were mad.

Stepping outside he looked around. There were those inside that would take care of the tent. One cutting it. Hopefully that wouldn't make Vlad mad, mad Vlad sounded bad. Very bad, very mad, a very bad mad Vlad - not glad. And outside the tent it was safe from what could be a very bad mad Vlad. Outside it was a whole new world. Or perhaps an old world he just hadn't paid attention to, he did have to enter the tent from somewhere and before one goes inside they must come from the outside. That is unless he came from inside someone to inside the tent but no. He would be covered in blood and guts and that would be bad and make him very mad. But he was neither so he had to come from the outside to the inside and outside again. He was inside out! Oh joy!
