The GM should know exactly why each character was or wasn't accepted and be willing to state such. But the reality is that sometimes other characters/players just synergize better

Limited slots and character applications exist as a way for the GM to manage their cast, maintain consistency and try to achieve mutual enjoyment for those involved.

◼    As a rule, I only do group RPs, I'm not interested in 1x1s. I enjoy GMing, Co-GMing or otherwise playing in an assertive or leading role in the game. 
◼    Before I write, I sit down and plan out where my post is going and how it ties into the overarching story I'm working on. I make notes for foreshadowing and callbacks and figure out generally as many details as possible.
◼    I like to be in the driver's seat, or at the very least having input into the story and where it's going and especially how it'll affect my character.
◼    I try to post as regularly as possible and definitely find keeping momentum helps keep both myself and others invested, but sometimes lulls happen and I'll apologize if that does happen.

Street Level Heroes
Just starting out
Urban Center in a state of imbalance
Crime rates on the rise
Small cast
Ideally simple powers with broad applications
Cast should compliment one another
Ideally younger cast balancing every day problems with newfound responsibility, thematically similar to Spider-Man, Batman Beyond or X-Men Evolution
Crime will be more more caused by superpowers compared to previous RPs where organized crime has been the choice tool. Ideally there will be a nice balance between true villains and simply empathic but disillusioned people on their last whim.
Ideally the players will build a repeating Rogue gallery
Players should be getting their butts handed to them at the beginning
No millionaires, billionaires or the ilk (Looking at you, Wraith)
No aliens, the supernatural or magic.


Something something "Their powers caused the sinking of the city of Atlantis". And then make the first few arcs about discovering Atlantis and then causing something that makes Atlantis rise up from the ocean and suddenly the world has a new continent.@Hillan

I was thinking something about the city of Atlantis having found the secret to what separates gods and men. Harnessing that power, they became the world's first superhumans until the city was attacked by a jealous Zeus (or whomever). Sinking it and seemingly killing those who dwelled there. But it would turn out they survived and members of Atlantis managed to return to the mainland. Having families, the powers passing along, locked away until one day they were activated by a beacon of some sort. Something that called out to the Descendents. Awaking the Atlantian powers within them.@Lord Wraith

That premise, and for a season finale having Atlantis rise up, and having a civilization of it's own, would be very TV-show esque.@Hillan

Whitney looked good, she smelled good and Aiden had to forcibly stop himself from staring. He wanted to pinch himself in disbelief, a girl as good looking as Whitney had agree to go out for a meal with him. Brunch even, there's no way that this wasn't a date.

Was there?

Snapping back to reality, Aiden realized that Whitney had asked him a question.

"Uh, it's a chain from back home. 'Mimaw's'" Aiden said with a wave of his hand. "The name is pretty non-descrip, but they serve a wicked all day breakfast. Lots of selection, but most importantly, unlimited bacon." Aiden added with a smirk as he guided the car out onto the road and left the school behind them. Silence filled the car for a few moments before Aiden decided to break it by playing with the radio. Flipping through a few channels, he finally found one he liked when the mournful chords of 'The Man Who Sold The World' came through the speakers.

"Nirvana fan at all?" Aiden asked, looking towards Whitney curiously while maintaining watch of the road. "I love their music, but I can't believe their own fame is what brought on Kurt's death. I can't imagine hating your own success so much that it ultimately destroys you."

"But I suppose, if it wasn't for that, we'd have never gotten the Foo Fighters." Aiden added with a slight chuckle as he tried to lighten the mood from the aforementioned somber sentiment. Pulling off the freeway, Aiden followed his GPS until it led them to the small diner. Parking the car, Aiden quickly skirted out of the driver's seat as he made his way around to the passenger side and opened the door for Whitney. Allowing her to go first, Aiden matched her pace, pausing only to open the door for her as the two came to the hostess' booth.

"Table for two?" She asked as Aiden nodded.

"Yes please, preferably a booth if you can Ma'am."

"Oh hun, I'm not old enough to be a Ma'am yet." The hostess said with a flush of her cheeks. "But I'll see what I can do about that booth for you." She paused looking back at the pair. "You two make such a cute couple."

Aiden felt his cheeks burn slightly, denying himself the privilege of looking to see if Whitney was as red as he felt. As the two were seated, Aiden quickly picked up his menu and hid behind it before the realization they had come for the buffet dawned on him. Putting the menu down, he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

"I'm ready to go up whenever you are."
