Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Apologies for taking so long for such a lackluster post.

Obediently the deadbolt gave way, giving Amy and Ben free access to the formerly-secure room. A short cry of “Ah!” gave away the room’s contents before their eyes could adjust to the darkness. When they did, however, they beheld a thin man with wild, poofy hair, whose dull brown tufts extended in a myriad of directions. It did not seem feasible that this fellow could see the two of them through a squint so severe as to make his eyes seem closed, but behold them he did, well enough to discover their humanity and realize that he’d been saved. “Thanks be!” Leaping up from the bunk, he moved into the light, revealing a stylish white turtleneck and wool jacket combo. A spurt of laughter forced its way up from his throat, and his joy seemed palpable. “I had feared that I would have starved in there. Imagine that: the Grimm attack, and how does poor Ivor die? Withered away in his own room playing games on his laptop. Actually, my sister always told me that’d be the way I went.”

He held out his hands in placation. “Sorry, sorry, I’m talking nonsense. Just excited to be alive! I’m good to go or do whatever you need. Don’t want to be dead weight.” The old scar on his lower lip made his mouth look longer on the right side when he smiled, as he gratuitously did now. Ivor clapped his hands together, attentive as a man with his eyes practically shut could be.

-meanwhile-

As JCL’s leader approached the door, the clawed drum across the room rattled again. This time, however, there issued from it a sound utterly human in nature: a muffled plea for help. Her call came too late, however, to prevent Jack from taking decisive action against the obstacle in his path. While the hider could not be accessed now, for fear of ignoring whatever foul things might lay in the next room, she would hardly be going anywhere.

Just beyond the threshold of the door Jack kicked in –which, for the good of his appearance, hadn’t been locked- lay a worrisome sight. Despite the passage of busy weeks since any of these students last saw Priscilla, they recognized her pink hair instantly, even when matted with blood. The girl lay on the floor, splayed as if she had been tossed there, heavily wounded but deprived of the mercy of unconsciousness. Only a split second allowed the hunters-in-training to see their fallen ally before her assailants swarmed forth through the door. The two harpies, battered and deprived of a few feathers, nevertheless attacked with fearsomely vicious speed and tenacity. The hooked claws of the first surged toward Jack’s eyes, while the other swooped low to knock him off his feet.

Which would be kind of off considering characters like mine and Lmpkio belong to the bad guys.
"Hey we know you've killed many of our people but would you like to join us and save the world?"
LOL

Who's the Council's people? Angels? Demons? Humans? They don't pick a side; they mediate the sides. They don't have cities or civilians or casualties, just agents, and ones that don't get involved unless under orders.

The Council will hold every angel and demon fighting on earth responsible for the breaking of the treaty. Choosing to fight for the sake of the Council could be a redeeming chance.

@Zarkun Looks good. The imagine is a little anime for a giant member of a brutal warrior-race, but eh. Every race has pretty boys occasionally.
Hmmmmm....while I can see the reasoning behind it, would it still be possible for him to join the Council? As he has no love for Heaven or Hell, and I'm sure in many regards the feeling is mutual from them to him thanks to the Horsemen, and he hasn't met humanity yet in his wandering.

The horsemen were tasked with killing their entire race on the Council's orders because they were too ambitious and destructive. He would not find a warm welcome under any circumstance. He may have a love for Heaven or Hell based on who made him and how they treated him.

@Sho Minazuki Might I have an answer as it got buried.

He wouldn't be one of the initial nephilim. Only War, Death, Strife, and Fury are the mighty servants of the council. Your nephilim will have been created out of the council's knowledge in one of the realms, since if they knew about his existence, they would order his demise.
I've been eyeing this for a while, because it looks really really good, and I've had an idea for a couple of characters that I don't want to go to waste. I might make the characters myself, if I can find appropriate representations for them and the time to play this alongside the other RPs I'm in at the moment, but if I can't, I at least want them to be available for others to potentially pick up. Long story short, imagine if the human members of Pokemon's Team Rocket were turned into Hierarchy angels, the former with holy flamethrowers and a lantern shield, the latter with a machine gun and/or gatling cannon whose fire rate increases the longer it's fired for, and both probably a bit more threatening than the characters they're expied from. Those sorts of characters, yeah. That said, if anybody likes the idea of them, feel free to comment on the idea, or snatch them up and use them as their own; I'd recommend Yiskah and Ya'aqov for names, given that those are the Hebrew origins of Jessica and (via Latin Iacobos, or Jacob) James. Alternatively, if I do eventually find the time to play this, I'll come back to them and see if they're still available.

Thanks for the interest and the ideas. I think I'd rather wait for you to play them yourself, however.

Can't leave me out then eh~

I'd like to join according to the post in another rp made by lugu ^-^

If you're up for it, we'll be glad to have you.
Now a decent name...

Out of curiosity, I took a look at other ancient Greek / Roman authors, which both Dante and Vergil come from. The best ones I found? Homer and Horace. Pfffft.

Hello everybody!

Found this a bit by accident and it sounded kinda interesting. I'm in the middle of coming up with a character, so I hope there's still space left ^^ I hope the lovely GM's don't mind a bit of a unique character, as I have a tendency to make, well, unique stuff, I like to think.

For now, I'll go collapse on my bed because it's 6 in the morning and I need my beauty sleep. (...I need it. trust me. I would lose a troll beauty pageant)

Flattery don't charge these batteries.

On a serious note, you're welcome to join. I'm always open to uniqueness that is interesting; uniqueness for the sake of being bizarre as some sort of statement (other than creativity, of course) is a little muddier, but I'm sure that's not the case. Looking forward to your sheet.

LIES!

I haven't browsed the characters yet to see what's covered, but I think I'll go with a Nephalim. I never really could find much lore on the Sages anyways.

Sounds cool. We don't have any Nephilim yet.

That's up to you. Like angels and demons, Nephilim are technically ageless, with the only difference generally being in power and experience.. Depending on how you want to play your character, your Nephilim can be days old from creation or a couple of hundred years gone.
Quite a few familiar faces in here. Lugu dropped a link in another RP I'm in with requests to check it out and I'm an avid fan of Bayonetta and Dark Siders. If I may though, how do those two fit into things? Character-wise. Say I wanna make...a Nephalim or a Lumen Sage, since I don't know that there were men Umbran Witches.

Both of those are completely viable options! I'm assuming you read the bits in the OOC OP that tells about the races. A nephilim will have been brought around through the unification of dust of dead demons and angels in a dark ritual. Whose dust -or even if you want to pay attention to those specifics- is up to you, as if the identity of the being that created you. Lumen Sages, meanwhile, are humans with profound connections to Paradiso. It'd be up to you to explain how such a connection comes about.
Hey there! If anyone's interested in Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Darksiders, or just action-packed fighting between angels and demons in general, I would be ecstatic if we could get more players for an RP that LMPkio and I are just starting, The Three Realms' War. Thanks for your time!
