Ash held the lifeless form of Harper, still trying her best to heal her obviously dead new comrade. She knew Harper was dead...but she just didn't want to accept that fact. Ash had always been stubborn, if she set her mind on doing something then nothing would stop her.
She couldn't accept failure in any department....so there was no way she couldn't save Harper right? It was that kind of mindset which set her up for disappointment, frustration and various other unwanted scenario's but it was just how Ash acted.
Even so she still tried, wasting magical power and strength to heal Harper till eventually she suddenly just gave up and punched the tree they were sitting under. This sudden action caused her to drop Harper softly onto the ground, her fist now quite embedded in the trunk as various cracks ran up and down the tree.
"Damnit!" Ash's fist suddenly erupted into an inferno, turning the once large tree into a flying mess of splinters and other debris. The larger bits of debris damaged other nearby trees and covered Thor's cloak in ash and sawdust, along with whatever other crap the tree made. That also meant whatever cover they had from the rain was now gone as well of course, quickly washing away a lot of the debris from Ash.
Despite the intense frustration Ash felt, no tears came. She grieved the loss of Harper, but she had barely known the ninja....and she was used to death. There was no use wasting tears on the dead.
It was only at this stage that Ash had noticed the black fog that had enveloped them....it had the same powerful negative influence that the fat bitch had created. Anger was begining to build up within Ash now as she realised something which should've been obvious to begin with, the bitch wasn't alone.
She was just about to get up when she noticed something...strange happening to Harper. Was she breathing?
No she had to be seeing things...she had to get back and-no. She was definitely breathing. Ash took the time to...well stare in clear confusion while scratching the back of her head. Hell she JUMPED backwards as Harper suddenly took a large breath, her eyes as wide as saucers.
And who could blame her? She just watched her comrade suddenly come back to life!
She watched in horror as the ruined flesh quickly stitched itself back together and Harper herself seemed to be freaking out. But Ash had an inkling about what was happening. She had caught a glimpse of the dreaded rune in Harper's eyes when they had shot open...coupled with what they had seen Ash could only make an assumption here.
They might be dealing with a necromancer type bad guy here....no it couldn't be Nidhogg. This form of magic was foreign to her...
Harpers freaking out caused Ash's train of thought to crash like a drunk driver, blinking a couple of times as she stared in disbelief at the ninja.
"You...You died....Did the fog...Of course. Those things earlier were undead then? We're dealing with some serious dark magic then....maybe even her level of dark magic." Ash had began responding to Harper but quickly began mumbling to herself somewhere along the line.
Regardless she stood up and grabbed Harper's hand, also forcing the ninja up off the ground and onto her feet.
"We need to get to Sanders. Now. Everyone else is in danger...and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out to this damned rain."

Jasmine Lockwood

@Caits
"...If you say so." Jasmine responded softly. She had a feeling that Penny was simply saying this to make her feel better, but surely Penny would've wanted a much more peaceful day off just to rest up for the last day instead of being dragged out to where they may or may not find Jasmine's parents.
"...I think I remember a couple of large oak trees. I know it isn't a lot to go on, but maybe we should look for a group of large oak trees? Just as a base for the search."

Not exactly true, but not wrong either. Chieko wants to be the best, Vesta already believes she is the best XD

El Dorado on a plate!
*ahem*
Ok with that reference done, I wouldn't say it's too far fetched with the history I had planned for (basically wealthy well known wizarding family, expectations, prodigy, etc, etc. XD)
Vesta Celestia

"I'm not interested in what you have to say...I'm cold hearted you say? Well I honestly don't care."

While Vesta herself doesn't have a huge physical presence, despite being tall for a young woman being 6 foot one, she seems to bring a rather powerful, calming presence to any room she enters. She has a slightly tanned complexion, short spikey platinum-silver hair that barely reaches her collar and blood-red eyes. She tends to always wear the same bored facial expression wherever she goes, almost as if she is disinterested or bored by everything.

Divine Protection

Vesta has been granted the Divine Protection of Earth, making her highly skilled at Earth Magic. More so than normal prodigy's.

Magic

Earth Magic

Personality

Disinterested is probably the best way to describe this young woman. She acts in a borderline arrogant matter in most cases as unless something strikes her fancy, which it rarely does, she shows almost no interest or respect to it. Due to her background she also has an overwhelming sense of self importance, not afraid to belittle those for not trying hard enough.
Despite her harsh exterior, she does have a soft spot for small animals and children and longs to find someone to settle down with and have children of her own.

Background

Born into a family of powerful wizards, Vesta was forced into training her magic from a very young age to continue the family tradition of...well obviously churning out powerful wizards.
From the age of five till thirteen she was relentlessly trained in the usage of Earth Magic, somewhere along the line discovering her Divine Protection which aided greatly in this training. By the age of thirteen she had surpassed her parents as wizards and was labelled as a 'prodigy' in magical arts (well Earth anyway). Even with this label she still had to undergo some pretty brutal training, but during one of these brutal training sessions was when she first met Avery. She had been training in the mountains by herself, one of the exercises her parents regularly made her do despite the dangers due to her 'prodigy' status, when she found a young boy in strange clothes covered in scratches and other various injuries.
She took him home where she had a servant tend to him while her parents decided what to do with the boy. She snuck in to see him every now and then for the next week as he recovered, talking with the boy when she could before her parents eventually decided just to make him a servant since they hadn't heard of anyone going missing in the area at the time so he was either unimportant or abandoned; most likely the second one.

It was decided that due to her having become fond of him, that he was to be her attendant and would travel with her wherever she went. In the years that passed Vesta grew up viewing, and still views him, as a younger brother than anything else and does try to look out for him from time to time despite how she might act.

Divine Protection

Avery has been granted the Divine Protection of Spiritual Master. Using this Divine Protection Avery is capable of creating his own artificial spirits using mana from the surrounding area and his own body to use as 'familiars'. However his power takes time to use, meaning the stronger the familiar he wishes to 'summon' then he needs more time. He also cannot control more than two of any strength at a time, and in conjunction with his Spirit Magic can be quite draining on his mental state.
Also requires quite a bit of concentration depending on the spirit he wishes to make.

Magic

Spirit Magic: Avery has a contract with Shiro, an Ice Kitsune Spirit which resides over water. Using this contract he can summon her at will from the time of 9-7 at the most, depending on how much mana is used during the day. He can also use water magic to an extent using this contract, such as healing or ice manipulation.
Shiro also has a much smaller ice fox form she takes for most of the time she is summoned.

Personality

Deceptively mischievous, Avery loves to trick others and play (mostly) harmless pranks. He tends to wear an impish smile at most times and can be seen with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He is also quite flirtatious and likes to pretend to be a girl, often being seen donning women's clothing. He also enjoys teasing other people, especially those that are surprised that he's male, using cutesy language and gestures to agitate them.
He does however have a serious side to him as well, but this doesn't surface often. He also will quietly sulk after being reprimanded by Vesta, which happens often.

Background

Originally from Earth, Avery had a fairly conventional childhood. You know, with parents, school, friends, sport, etc. till he was 11 years that is. Somehow he found himself lost in a nearby mountain range of the Kingdom of Lugunica where he was attacked and chased by wolves.
Here he was found by Vesta and adopted into her family as a servant, thus being raised to cater to her whims.
