Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

"Perhaps you should go see him now" Kalinda said, amusement playing over her face, "You might find it worthwhile" She flicked a glance at the others there, and with a small smile, She took some of Hachi's pain, as it started to become overwhelming for him. She neutralised it, and dispersed it harmlessly. She then let Kyle lead her away, "I don't need to go to my room. I'm okay, now" She said, although she yawned again "Some food, and I'll be right as rain" But the thought of skipping gym was appealing.

sweet emotional rainbow played around in her head. Well, emotions could have colour. She managed not to yawn again, "And maybe some coffee" The stimulant was dangerous fo Kalinda, and yet she loved the stuff. A little bit never hurt.

"And then we can go to Wayne's office"@BlackPanther@dabombjk
Jamie looked to Darius, and flashed him a quick grin, "Yeah, I've heard of you. But I'm smaller, quicker and, well, I guess we will have to see whose more skilled" She looked to Aelar when he spoke and seemed to think a moment, "Oh, I'm experiencing discomfort alright. Just remove the bomb and I'll be right as rain" But the smile crossed her face again, letting him know that she was joking. "I'd offer you my sword, but I had it made for myself, and my sword fighting style, its thin and light, and weighted for me perfectly. It would probably be horrible for you"

She went to brush hair hair behind her ear, but frowned as her fingers quickly brushed through air. that will take some time to get use to she thought to herself, stretching instead, and rearranging her bow, quiver and pack. Her sword was at her side, on the right, so she could pull it across her body with her left smoothly, and be ready to fight at a moments notice.

She rocked back on her heels, never one to stand still for long when she didn't have any reason to be quite, she rolled her shoulders, figuring that by the end of this, they would be deathly sore. Just a pain she'd have to get use to.

Phoebe gave Tsura a smile, and a hug. "You'll be okay. Everyone was in the same boat, once" She smiled again, and looked to Katherin as well.

"Anyway, I have a lunch meeting with Dad, so I'll catch you two in gym" Phoebe said, giving them both a smile, rising to go. She made good time, and ended up in her fathers office a little early, just in time to swing Clark Kent and Tony stark leaving. She gave them a friendly smile, and entered the office.

Phoebe had spent many hours in this office, the last few weeks especially. Just spending time with her father. And, sometimes, her mother joined them. There were times when it seemed to Phoebe that they were just a normal family. Her parents could hide it all they wanted, but the casual touches, the subtle glances, told her that they loved each other.

And...her.

She studied her father, frowning slightly at what she saw. "I'm not foolish dad. And I am your daughter. You don't think I haven't put together my own portfolio on what's going on out there? And who attacked the school, today? Ryan and I have been putting it together the last few weeks, we're our fathers children after all."

Bruce turned to face his only child, the daughter be watched grow up from afar. The girl who had given him pride, as in all her endeavors she had succeeded. Who had known her own mind, and come to the school, had left with her mother, and then had known where she was needed. Who even now, was doing what she thought was best for the academy and her fellow students.

"Sometimes I see you as the little girl on her fifth birthday, just learning about her powers. You've grown so much, Phoebe. And every day I'm more proud of you then I ever have been"

Phoebe gave an almost abashed smile, "I had a poster of you, when I was a kid. I don't think that's a coincidence, now. I've had that poster since I was five. Mum sent it with the letter. It's hanging up on the wall in my apartment. Sometimes...looking at it made me think...somewhere out there, someone was watching. They cared enough to send me that letter and poster.

I know why you did what you did. With the treaty, all the villains who hadn't signed would have gone after me to use against you. I'm just glad to...know now.

But I'm not that little girl anymore. I have to figure out where I belong in this world of being normal and being a hero. We both know I could have graduated at the end of the year, last year. And we both know I stayed because we wanted that closeness, but Dad, we've had that all summer.

I want to use this year to figure out who I'm going to be out there, how I'm going to juggle being a...well, being your daughter, being a wife, and a career woman, with being a hero. I want to use this year to refine Devil's snare, and be the best hero I can be.

You need to stop treat me, and the other students, like we can't handle what's going on. We'll be okay, dad. We've had the best teaching us"

She gave her father a hug, holding him close, and smiling happily when he enfolded her into his warmth, his sturdiness. She stepped back after a moment, and said with a bright smile, "So shall I share what I have, or should you share what you have?"

Connor stopped, and turning, he enfolded Kijani into a hug. Everything that had happened, the end of the year...Connor still thought what would have happened, if he hadn't gotten her message. If he hadn't known what to do.

"Sweetheart, I've seen who you are, without agendas. You never had any with me. Actually, I was the one with the agenda there" He said, giving her a smile, "Although I didn't expect to be taught that two minute noodles suck" He was hoping to make her smile, and take her away from the demons of the previous year. "You're an amazing person." He said softly, not letting her go just yet.

"And yes, Video games are pretty cool. Just Dance? Is that the one?"

Kalinda made a sound as Kyle stood up, an almost pathetic mewing sound like a cat disturbed, before stretching out, watching his theatrics. She smiled, and nodded when Violet spoke to her. "yeah" She said softly, to herself. "He does" And wasn't that something?

"I reckon she was here for the stuff before" She said as violet ran off, "Or she wouldn't bewanting to know about the school" She gave a shrug, and managed to stand without falling flat on her face.

Hello all.

In setting this up, in quite a few posts it was mentioned that everyone needed to be at the obstacle tower for a sort of required meeting. While we didn't allude to what it was (for good reason), for those who have left the area for the archery instruction will no longer be available to what will now be happening at the obstacle course.

We will try to be more obvious and get you all the information in the future, as this is a side-step on both of our parts. Better communication guys :) we are here to answer questions, though we can admit that we also need to better set up these sorts of things

Caits.
Jamie, use to sneaking about, had moved away when it appeared others were joining her. Apart from not wanting to be the first there, she wanted to know their thoughts without actually asking them. So she hid, staying as still as she possibly could, as she listened in, as the "team" began to come together. She was still furious about the bomb injection, and she was going to find a way to disarm herself, and soon. She listened to the chatter, frowning slightly. At the argument about mages, Jamie almost came out then, but she wanted still.

Finally though it was clear she was going to be the only one not there, so she made her way over, as if she were just coming up. But the first thing she said was "I have no problem with mages. Honestly, I've been treated better by them then I have my own superiors. As long as someone treats me like well, i'll treat them well.

Dying is not an option for me. So lets just do this mission and get back. I'd rather not go Ka'blam, if its all the same to you guys"
She looked to Razer, frowning slightly, wondering why he was pretending to limp, but not really caring. If it made him feel safer to do that, so be it.

"I'm best as an archer. I'm stealthy, I can track easily and I'm a great shot. My name is jamie. I'm not happy about this. I don't need incentive to follow a job through, so that makes me think these bombs are for something else. But we're here now, so I guess we should get going, right?" she shifted her bow, looking about at everyone, and she couldn't help but feeling like she was the odd one out. They already seemed friendly. And here she was, just standing about as if she wasn't welcome. She didn't feel like she was.

She gave a sigh, and looked away from them all, her eyes stinging with tears once more, but she refused to let them be soon, or to let them flow.

There were many things that Gabriel considered were strange and obviously magical, the use of fire works to try and stop a monster was on the top of the strange and wacky. His dragon weaved in and out expertly, avoiding the flaming balls of death as they hurtled towards them, and in one case actually engulfing one, spitting it back out in a gush of dragon fire. Gabriel was sure his face was pale, and he had to wonder why the dragon had taken him with it.

Gabriel closed his eyes tightly and let his dragon do what it was going to do. If he was going to die here, so be it. It began to unleash it's fire over the wounds the explosion had caused, the heat flying back towards Gabriel, who pressed against the dragon. Ignotious. That's what he should call the dragon. He laid his face against the dragon's scales, and hung on with all his strength. His dagger would be no use here, and he had no magical powers he could fling towards the monster.

When would this end?

Jessie nestled quite comfortably against Ferris, content where she was, and more than happy to stay where she was for the rest of the day. She would gladly ask the hotel staff to simply deliver food right to the bed, if need be. She smiled, quite happily. "Anything but the games, and as long as it is fun, and frigging awesome, I'm happy" She said, her voice sounding almost like a pleased cat.

(No, you're right. It's nyx. So many characters to keep track off lately)

"I would have known more had I choosen to learn more of my mothers trade, but by then Railing had been taken, and I set sights on being an adventure, to find him" Nyx said, "I can add that as a question to my letter to my mother"

"i'm happy to play with her a bit, as I recall, Nyx enjoyed the mildest of play, and she was quite an energetic child. Railing, Hermia and I would figure out ways of playing with her and Sasha" Tran said, smiling at the memories

Sasha couldn't help the smile that came, as she watched the tug of war like act with the spoon, "She's adorable"

"It's good for him, and easy for him to eat" Hermia agreed, "careful, he likes to try and grab the spoon"
"you don't need too keep things calm forme, Vedika. I'm okay" Ashleigh said softly, "but I'd rather there not be any more violence myself" She gave a yawn as she spoke, so that some of her words sounded drawn out and a little warped. "energy, I imagine, is how it works. But what do i know?" She gave a shrug, and stretched, gathering her book to her once again.

Not wanting to get up, and not particularly caring what anyone thought, Ashleigh used her telekinesis to bring a drink over to her, doing so carefully so that it didn't spilled, but the landing was a little rough. The drink spilled over the sides but Ashleigh twirled a finger and the liquid went right back into the cup.

She brought it to her lips and took a sip, still wishing she was washing a pill down with it. Perhaps it wasn't such a good thing for her that the bracelet supressed her self healing abilities as well. She was jonsing for a high. She gave a heavy sigh, "I'm sorry I'm not good company, tonight, Jason"
