Malik is a tall angel, generally being the tallest person in the room. However his build is quite lean, save his lavender coloured wings which are ridiculously large. Malik has deep brown skin and doll like facial features, giving him a look of eternal youth. Malik has silver coloured eyes, that have gold flecks, and dark purple hair that goes down to his shoulders. Malik tends to wear simple clothing, having commoner’s clothes, save his blue officer jacket from his time in the Navy.

Besides the clothes on his back, all Malik owns is a sack that holds a few coins, food, booze, and other small items. His prized possession is his naval officer’s sabre, the one thing he has been able to hold onto through the tumultuous last few years of his life.

Back Story:

Born in Gretlok, a small city in the empire of Yveren, Malik was a part of the Rosethorn family, a prominent Angel clan in that part of the country. Growing up Malik was taught to serve the state, as most of his family held prominent positions in government institutions. He was also taught to respect magic, as his own magical abilities manifested in his youth, in Malik’s case it was healing magic. It was also around this time that Malik first heard of the legends of the sea as part of his education. The young Malik quickly became infatuated with the ocean and all its mysteries.

As Malik became a young adult he was forced to decide what he would do for the rest of his life. Wishing to see the world, Malik decided to join the Yveren Navy. This choice was accepted by his family as many of them were also in the military. So at the age of sixteen, Malik left Gretlok to join the naval academy. He would spend a year there, learning all about sailing, combat, and command. Thanks to his family’s connections, Malik was fast tracked into an officer position. Malik would be assigned to the Ferocity, a naval vessel under the command of an old human named Fitzwig. For several years Malik would serve aboard the Ferocity, becoming close friends with Fitzwig.

It was several years into his service when everything would change for Malik. The Ferocity had been ordered to sail to a port on the far edges of the known world. They were quickly lost in a storm, with most of the crew saying that they should head back. Fitzwig refused, citing their need to follow orders. Naturally Malik agreed with him. However, this decision spawned a mutiny. The crew quickly overtook the ship, capturing Fitzwig. Faced with the threat of an unruly mob of sailors, Malik’s fear took control, as he flew off the ship into the storm.

Malik would be tossed about in the storm, barely having enough strength to keep flying. Eventually he would find a small island on which to land. Once the storm passed Malik would try to fly to another island, only to discover none close in any direction. Malik would return to the island, living off the few resources on it. After a little more than a month on the island, Malik would spot a ship in the distance. He would immediately fly to it, discovering that it was owned by smugglers. Malik didn’t care however, instead offering his skills as a sailor in exchange for them taking him back to a port.

When Malik finally got to port he discovered that he had been considered a mutineer aboard the Ferocity, and had been disowned by his family and government. Distraught Malik would end up living in the port for several years, trading his healing magic in exchange for food and alcohol. That would be Malik’s life for a long time, that was until he heard the call of Neptune.

Personality:

Malik is someone who must always feel needed and praised. Growing up, Malik was taught to follow orders and hold himself to a high standard. This level of rigidness has made Malik seem a little too serious for some people, as he can be quite a bore to be around. In more recent years, Malik has become full of self doubt, questioning every choice he has ever made. To get over these negative feelings, Malik now drowns himself in drink. Malik can be an irate drunk, which causes people to avoid him even more.

Thanks for the interest! So all the players will already be together as a sort of Avengers trainee team, doing missions to prove that they can become full fledged. So yes everyone will be together, that is besides in between missions, where you'll be able to go off on your own and do your own side plots.

For the first mission at least the focus will be on the team as a whole, letting everyone get a feel for each other. For subsequent missions, I've thinking of trying in tie in one or two characters' subplots into it, as I want everyone playing to get a chance to shine. And yes I totally agree that we should just focus on what feels fun.

Tibb the Goblin

Tibb stands at three feet and two inches, about average height for a goblin. What is notable about Tibb is his head that he keeps shaved in accordance with the teachings of a goblin many generations back. His eyes are a dark crimson, not usual for a goblin, and his skin a pale green, very usual for a goblin. Unlike most goblins who are covered in battle scars, Tibb’s body is blemish free as he more often wields a book than a sword. Tibb is always garbed in robes that have been handed down over the years from a goblin wizard who once lived outside the dungeon.

Role:
Adept - The character fights with rudimentary magic and is knowledgeable in scholarly pursuits.

Biography:
Born in the great dungeon, Tibb has known no life outside it. Born into a colony of goblins that have called the dungeon home for many generations, Tibb always stood out. While other young goblins were getting into fights and stealing from one another, Tibb preferred to talk to the other races who called the dungeon home, learning there languages. Tibb even taught himself how to read, allowing him to learn from the few books that still existed in the dungeon. While considered odd by his peers, Tibb attracted the eye of the goblin shaman. The shaman was considering making Tibb his replacement.

Tibb was immediately excited, doubling down on his studies and magic usage. However, that was interrupted by news that more adventurers were coming to loot the dungeon. As this was the only home Tibb has ever known, he was instantly ready to defend it. So for now Tibb has stopped with the shaman training, instead he tries to master spells with which to kill the invading adventurers.

Inventory:
- Tome of Goblin Magic: One of the few surviving books in the dungeon, Tibb has spent his whole life reading, and re-reading this book. Crafted from the notes of various goblin scholars, this tome is half a history of goblins and half a collection of minor spells.
- Ancestral Robes: A pair of yellow and blue robes. These robes are very old and allegedly belonged to a goblin wizard who lived outside the dungeon. As they haven’t been washed in hundreds of years, they smell greatly of mildew and sweat.
- Goblin Bone Dagger: A simple dagger crafted from the bones of a long dead enemy. Even though Tibb is an adept, he is also still a goblin, so he carries this for protection.
- Sack of various items: A small sack carried at Tibb’s side that contains various herbs, bones, and other trinkets needed to cast magic.

Sorry I should have claified this in the opening post, this roleplay is OCs only. As for titles I would prefer you either use a new one, or if you must reuse one, please make it an obscure character.

Titans: Dawn of a New Tomorrow

While my character was initially going to be Blue Beetle, I instead made it a different alien artifact powering him. I think there would be enough difference between my character Dragoon and a Blue Beetle. We could even have potential storylines that the Reach and the Ophideus aliens were rivals. But that's just my two cents, as it's ultimately up Chev.

I have a question, sorry if it has been answered somewhere else. Are our characters going to be in control of others of our kind, like all goblins or all goblins, and if so is it one player per race. If not are we independent? I'm kind of wanting to play a goblin adept.
