New information to be tailored toward the reboot soon, I haven't written anything in almost a full year so give me a break.

It has been a little over a year since the virtual reality video game, Pariah Online, has become an international hit.

Designed from the studies of a yet-to-be-named cyber-neurologist, the video game was always intended to be a breakthrough in changing the way the human mind perceives things when it is in a dream-like state. During the early development of these theories and experiments, the idea of applying it to a virtual world seemed like the only sensible conclusion. The true nature of Pariah Online is hardly public knowledge for very legal and serious reasons, and for the most part, there have been no detrimental issues that endangered the people in the game or the company's legal and financial security. That is until a few hours ago, a massive glitch spread throughout the game. The ramfications of this glitch appears to be deadly and financially damning for the company. As they race across the clock to fix the issues, players locked into the virtual world are about to have everything they know about Pariah and their lives change in an instant.

With server technicians, neurologists, and software specialists trying to figure out the source of the problem, a different threat within the virtual world itself is awakening. How will these "Wayfarers" handle their responsibilities, anxieties, and doubts? Only time will tell.

I'm back to playing BG3.

The Bancroft’s have been a fixture in southeastern New Hampshire for centuries. With claims going back prior to the American Revolution, they have endured hardship and tempered ambition since they left their traditional homes in Bristol, England.

The long and short of it is the Bancroft’s are a wealthy family. In 2024, it is with great disappointment they find themselves hosting a wedding made not by their design. The current bride-to-be, Sarah Bancroft, the eldest child of the head of the Bancroft Family, has sired a romance with a boy she met in college. A boy that doesn’t come from old money or any money for that matter. Such is love found in a university classroom far from their reach they suppose, but love is love and so they do as they have always done whether the groom-to-be comes from the other side of the tracks or not. As the Bancroft’s look to Sarah’s twenty-seventh birthday and her wedding day there does seem to be shadows looming over different facets of the wedding that they do not realize. The groom is coming with baggage and so are the various bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Will the shadows take hold or will they all survive a Bancroft wedding?

Imbroglio, at its core, should be relatively simple in concept.

RPs detailing Weddings, College Life, etc. are not an anomaly on this website, though my goal with Imbrogilo is to focus less on the glitz and spectacle. This one is about drama with a dash of colonial America for taste.

Obviously, with this collaboration being focused on an interconnected group of family and friends, I will need people to commit to the long term even if pacing stalls at any sort of point. I view role-playing as a sideline hobby and you will see no such things as hardline deadlines from me. I’ve tried to do hardline deadlines in the past and well, it looks really bad when the GM has her episodes of not being around due to work and health problems.

I’m feeling pretty good about Autumn and I’ve been craving slice-of-life stories with a little ‘spice’. This includes this RP, which has all the appearance of being an ideal wedding-birthday smash. We will have groomsmen pining after bridesmaids (maybe even the bride), we will have bridesmaids caught up in their own drama and power struggles, and the groom’s own secrets and reservations will cause introspective moments of delightful drama. Ideally, I’ve set up the scenario of a “normal” groom who is marrying into old money despite well, said reservations and secrets. The Groom will be entangled in not only his to-be marriage, but a secret-but-not-for-long-maybe affair as well. Other than those fixtures, the player who creates the Groom will have full autonomy and agency. I’ll play the Bride and marquee members of her family such as her father and so-and-so.

Any specifics beyond that seem pretty clear, so welcome to New Hampshire’s idyllic Bancroft Estate due east of historic Manchester.

Right now this is mostly me putting out the feelers for an interested group. I've got a few ideas to get back into the RP scene and figure out writing again, but this one is one I never got to try before. If this doesn't get any people, I'll probably just pivot to something else, but I'd still like to see who would even be remotely interested in the first place.
I finished Baldur's Gate 3. I kinda think that game loses steam right at the last leg of the race but that's like saying the last bite of a five star meal wasn't as good as the entire meal up to that point.

It's also Larian's restaurant specialty!
Unfortunately, due to time constraints and trying to get a work promotion and having a deadline for a writing gig, I don't think I'll be able to complete my character sheet. Maybe after thanksgiving if you're still accepting players after you've started, I might hop in, but I just got a lot more on my plate than I realized :(

I want to see some sheets so I know what kind of measuring stick I have, lol.
