Present Day - S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy: August 14th, 2020 - 9:40 A.M.

Marygold Isley walked into SHIELD's Phase Three HQ, her red curls moving along her shoulders as she walked. There was a bag in her hand, and it was full of different things that were made to help mutants. Mary didn't care if Fury wanted her there, she was going to help clean up his mess whether he wanted her to or not, since this was not something he'd be able to ignore. The world hated mutants after all, and were constantly trying to kill them off, so she still didn't understand why Fury wanted to make more. Her hatred towards Fury was not something to get in the way of her helping others, and she also knew that Fury was still mad at her for cutting off the X-Men and SHIELD partnership, but she was there now, to lend a hand.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, you can't go in there," Agent Blake apologized, standing in front of the door to the medical ward with an I.C.E.R. adapted rifle resting against his chest. "You need at least Level Seven clearance to enter," Blake added. "And unfortunately, they don't give that out to leaders of the X-Men." However, he was stepping aside from the door and opening it for her, giving her a wink. ""I'm sorry, ma'am, there's just nothing I can do to help. You'll have to wait here." He then stepped aside and walked off down the hallway.

"Sorry to hear that Agent, too bad," she said with a smirk, as she walked into the room, carrying her bag. At least the guy who had stopped her hadn't been insisting that she actually leave or something, this made her life a whole lot easier.

Fury glanced up and let out a sigh. He figured this encounter was going to go about just as well as his last one did. "...Is now a good time to mention your suspicions that Quicksilver is in love with Tony Stark, sir?" Fitz asked, pretending to be oblivious.

"Whose the scientist who doesn't know what he's talking about? Don't worry Fury, I'm not here to attack you like Pietro did, I'm just here to help deal with the mess you've made," she said, looking from Fitz until she made eye contact with Fury.

"...I'm an engineer, not a scientist..." Fitz mumbled and Simmons rolled her eyes, rubbing her husband's back. "Come on Fitz, you can't let that get to you," Simmons said softly to him. Jim was eating an ice cream sandwich on one of the chairs, ignoring the entire "no eating" rule in the medical ward. All food in the building had been served through an IV drip so far. "So you're not going to try and take away another one of my engineers?" Fury asked, shaking his head slightly at Mary. "You broke ties with S.H.I.E.L.D., Isley. Go home."

"You understand why I did that, made sense considering the fact that we were doing your job for you... And I'm not going to leave because..." she said, holding up her bag, "Guessing you don't know how to deal with a lot of their powers. And I do."

The Framework: 50 Minutes Remaining

Dominika Novikova

Framework Location: Sidewalk in New York City
Skills: Dimensional Energy Perception (Passive), Earth Manipulation, Jack of All Trades (Science)

Unfortunately, all memories - even the very best - fade with time. Beyond the information Cass had already relayed regarding the position of the guards, she wouldn't be able to recall anything else. But still, for most missions, this information was way beyond what individuals were normally given. She would, however, recall all of the powers of the Brotherhood members they were going up against. Or at least, the ones that Cassandra had recalled. Fury's team had made some certain modifications to the game - there was at least one Brotherhood member missing from Cassandra's roster.

  • Magneto - real name Erik Lensherr - age unknown - Powers: Magnetokinesis
  • Plasma - real name Cecily Ashworth - age unknown - Powers: Matter State Manipulation
  • Scarlet Witch - real name Wanda Maximoff - age 20 - Powers: Chaos Magic Reality Warping
  • Toad - real name Mortimer Toynbee - age 32 - Powers: Superhuman Leaping, Flexible Bone Structure, Superhuman Stamina, Superhuman Agility, Superhuman Reflexes, Superhuman Durability, Regenerative Healing Factor, UV/Infrared Vision, Prehensile Tongue, Pheromone Secretion, Acidic Saliva, Paralytic Resin, Superhuman Respiratory System, Amphibian Control
  • Sabretooth - real name Victor Creed - age unknown - Powers: Regenerative Healing Factor, Foreign Chemical Immunity, Immunity To Diseases, Extended Longevity, Weather Insulated Adaptation, Superhuman Stamina, Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Durability, Superhuman Speed, Superhuman Agility, Superhuman Reflexes, Superhuman Senses, Claws and Fangs, Psionic Resistance
  • Avalanche - real name Dominikos Petrakis - age 25 - Powers: Seismokinesis
  • Cheshire Cat - real name Othello Boyavard - age 23 - Powers: Teleportation, Shapeshifting
  • Wonderland - real name Elizabeth Roswell - age 20 - Powers: Hallucinogenic Touch, Illusion manipulation
  • The Adder - real name Richard Laine - age 30 - Powers: Reptile Shapeshifting

Cassandra would know, however, that lethal force was not authorized against enemy mutants they encountered. Fury wanted them brought in alive, that way they could be taken to the Raft and subjected to questioning. It also would help keep a hostage from accidentally being killed if mistaken for a Brotherhood member. Of course, there was the fact that no one had asked about the hostages - such as what their abilities would be, if the hostages could help them once freed, and so forth. Luckily, though, Fury hadn't forbidden Cassandra from giving that information. She was allowed to tell them anything.

"Thanks," Novikova said. She caught a brief glimpse of Niah and saw one of the strangest sights she had ever seen - or in this case, "seen." She blinked rapidly and shook her head. It looked like Niah and her sister.....but there were at least ten identical copies of Niah's sister. Once she put the sunglasses on and looked around, the weird visions stopped happening and Novikova relaxed slightly. She could focus on the mission now, without worrying about seeing the next season of Sliders play out in front of her.

"And I do have one question...Quicksilver - won't he be here?" Novikova asked. She had a healthy fear of speedsters.

The guards noticed Sparky's attempts to shoot at them and they raised they guns, aiming at the group and letting a rain of bullets come down on them. Novikova instantly threw her hands up to protect herself, not having had any sort of combat training. A earthen wall came up and stopped the bullets from hitting her, as well as those immediately around her. Kelley's telekinesis would kick in, allowing him to - without even realizing it - shield the rest of the team from harm. Three stray bullets then hit Cass in what would have been lethal blows, but they fell off her skin like they were nothing.

"...You've got dermal armor...Like Luke Cage in Harlem..." Novikova whispered with wide eyes. However, now wasn't the time for conversation. The five guards were loading more ammo, not even caring that they were in a civilian area. But why would they, after all?

The RP is now officially closed to new players, but since you three expressed interest, I have a way to work in your characters if you want to join. However, you need to have your characters up for approval within 4 days of this post or I can't effectively make it work.

Everyone else, we'll open up again for new character submissions later on in the RP. You'll be able to submit non-powered Agents and the age range will be shifted - it'll become obvious why when the time comes.

As a thank you for having to deal with your original path being scrapped, you'll get a bonus skill added. You need to do this within 48 hours.
7. If anyone else is interested in cross pathing, please let me know.

I will be updating Arya, Nera, and Myrus shortly so you all can see how it'll look.

Eliette Theriot

Location: Outside Xavier's Mansion

"So mon copain, we's gonna go hit up the person for more information, then?" Ellie mused. She didn't see why they wouldn't have gotten all of the information in the first place, but whatever. The Mansion was super stuffy in her opinion and she had already tired herself out sock sliding that morning. Of course, she then realized she had been staring at a gorgeous butterfly and she easily could have misunderstood Erik entirely. She didn't have the best attention span and she lost control of the marble, sending it speeding up rapidly before she suddenly stopped manipulating its kinetic energy. It then fell down, completing its arc, and hit one of Charles' windows, smashing it.

Ellie couldn't help but giggle as she got into the car. "Oops," she commented with a smirk. She started messing with the radio, trying to get some decent songs playing. She was worried Erik would want to listen to something ancient, like Bach or Beethoven. He assumed that was what old people liked listening to - or knowing Charles, he'd probably consider it too modern still. "This is waaaay too slow," Eliette added, despite the fact that the car hadn't even started yet.

She was impatient and wanted to be at their destination already - in fact, yesterday would have been better.

Nancy Parker & Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Near the Oak Tree
Skills: None

Andromeda's nostrils flared slightly as she heard Faith's not so subtle jab. The others were conversing about Twinkies - and Belladonna hadn't made any indication that she was busy. From what Andromeda could tell, this had been a social visit. And while she supposed she could have tried to hold back her questions, in her timeline, the world had nearly been destroyed by the devil - and Belladonna knew her half-brother. She knew Walter during the darkest period of his life, but also when he began to redeem himself. However, she knew she needed to keep her emotions in check, just in case a bolt of lightning decided to come down and show Faith her irritation. She took a calming breath.

"I agree, those two are completely ridiculous with sweets," Nancy mused, as she took some more caramel chews out of her pocket and started to eat them. The caramel practically glued her mouth shut and she relished in the hypocrisy of what she said. Of course, there was a reason she always carried candy on her - she adored sweets and kept her own personal supply, always updating what she kept in her pockets depending on the time period the loop was set in. "Andthatsoundslikeahorribletask," Nancy added, finally managing to swallow her caramel goodness a moment later. She had spaced out slightly and forgotten to respond to Belladonna with the news that her darling little girl was off drinking herself to death - or second death, Nancy supposed.

"Oh? Yes! Right!" Nancy exclaimed, remembering their task. She nodded and grabbed Sophia by the hand. "But I think we might need to modify it - maybe a simple game of tug of war where you lose your arm?" Nancy suggested with a snicker. It'd be short and sweet - and she knew the kids still hanging around would inevitably lose interest and move on shortly. "Come on, let's do it!" Nancy cheered, before she dragged Sophia over to the nearest group of kids.

"Thank you, Belladonna," Andromeda said with a smile. She had managed to mostly get her annoyance with Faith under control, but she did think it'd be rude to not thank Belladonna for the information she had given her. She did have more questions - such as how someone would survive and be just fine after being decapitated, but maybe Javier was just a Paradox as well? Were they just a small family of Paradoxes? And of course, the entire thing about the devil just having a playdate...Was the devil still alive, then?
