Beatrice Decker

Location: Eden - Doors across from Fitness
Skills: Pistol, Stamina

As Thana constructed the makeshift Tornado, Beatrice took the bandana out of her hair and tied it around her bullet wound - the one that had been a graze. The one in her thigh she was fairly certain still contained the bullet and she was hoping that it'd work something like a cork. That was one lesson that she had learned during her time in juvi: resourcefulness saved lives. It had been applied to her time on the streets of Justice and even more so now, after the world had ended and they were living in the remnants.

It seemed to be a lesson that Thana learned as well, as Beatrice watched the magnificent explosion that Thana unleashed. She smirked slightly as she heard how impressed Gun Bait (Manny) seemed to be with Thana's abilities. Alex and Thalia had managed to land a few decent shots, with Gun Bait even getting to move forward. She couldn't help but feel like she was playing the odds of survival as she walked forward after Thana, her gun at the ready despite the immense pain from the bullet wounds. She didn't spot any hostiles in the hallway in front of them and she quickly looked over her shoulder at where they had been, seeing none behind them - just Gavin's body. However, her gut was telling her that it was too quiet and even though Thana had managed to get them an opening, it didn't mean they'd be making it out alive.

Jack Hudson

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse (E10)
Skills: N/A

Jack woke up shortly after Ash nudged him, his heart skipping a beat. While it was probably nothing, he figured it was going to be something truly awful. Some had called him overreactive and he was known for jumping to the worst possible conclusions back at the Chicago PD - but more often than not, his mentality would often prove to be correct on occasions. There had been one particular case in Vice that sprung to mind. Everyone told him the random wedding ring the perp carried in their pockets wasn't anything to freak out over.

Eventually, the case had been transferred over to the homicide department, as it turned out the drug dealer was killing rival dealers and taking their rings as trophies. Jack's overreaction and paranoia had paid off. And in the present time, he heard the dog start to bark. It drew his eyes to the window and his eyes widened, as if they were about to burst out of his skull as he saw the thing of nightmares - a gigantic hoard. "...I think we're about to be Kobayashi Ma'hu'd...." Jack muttered, trying not to panic too much. His ex-girlfriend, Sutton, had been a huge Star Trek fan and she had taught him about the Kobayashi Maru. He just really hoped he was wrong.

Jack grabbed one of the bug out bags they had found the night before, as well as the extended first aide kit, figuring they could use them. He wasn't able to carry much else without getting slowed down too much he figured, so prioritizing would be the best. "Let's get the hell outta dodge," Jack muttered, before he headed out into the front lawn with the others, seeing that it was clear, and he went to the Hoardbuster, figuring it was in far better shape than their cars would be.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: A Pastry Shop - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Gideon, Jace, Janelle, Isley, and Cynthia

"I'm flattered you spend so much time thinking about my voice, buttercup. Guess it must really turn ya on, huh?" Scott quipped. "And I'm here because I've decided to be here, just to see if any of you tools had any info on what the hell is going on with us. But I guess you don't have anything so I'm wasting my time." He glared at them, before he wrote down his number and slid it over to Janelle. He figured her brother could read it to her. "Ginger Girl can have my number. Rest of you, I'll just call the hospital and let them to know to expect you."

And while people kept on pretending they had a plan, all Scott heard was exchanging phone numbers. He hardly called that a plan. This was a college icebreaking, a group getting together to form pen pals. It wasn't anything beyond that and he hated that people were pretending otherwise. Maybe he'd be better off just leaving and going back to his normal life. It at least made sense and plans were actually plans, not just entering in phone contacts.

Present Day - The Castle: December 21st, 12,507 - 2:30 PM

Marya Magnisky looked at her legal guardian and just laughed. "Технички, ми нисмо криминалци док нас не ухвате," Marya pointed out with a giggle. She then raised an eyebrow at the blonde who went and sat in the man's lap, noticing how bold he was. Even the bartender raised an eyebrow, before he served the two of them their drinks. "Зар нисте мало старији за њу, тата?" Marya then added with a smirk.

"Потпуно се слажем с тим!" Medea said, starting to laugh at what her sister said. The man just rolled his eyes, "B-B-Behave you two!" he managed to say, shaking his head at them. Medea was still snickering slightly at the whole situation.

"Да ли бисте бар признали лепу девојку у крилу? Или сте наследили друштвене вештине вашег оца? Барем наши преци су знали како добити оно што желе," Marya teased, smirking as the bartender brought her a FizzFroot and she started to drink it. She knew there was a good chance that the Port Witch Coven was imploding at the moment and she figured Fleur, if she lived, would ask for an explanation. But in their defense, they did need to eat if they ran constantly. They'd pass out otherwise.

Medea kept cackling, and his face turned red. "Вероватно је наследио друштвене вјештине које би му биле потребне," she added gleefully. He just shook his head, rubbing his eyes with a free hand and setting his glasses down on the bar, he took a deep breath, before addressing Myth. "Uh, hi... My name is Bruce Banner..." he said, looking at her.

"Досадно ми је. Хоћеш да се зезаш са Поинтбреаком?" Marya asked, nodding over towards Sylvi. She figured Bruce could use some time along with his new friend. She couldn't wait to tell his siblings about this. Or even better - his parents.

Arya Rincewind & Myrus Silvers

Location: The Palace Lawns

Myrus seemed to calm as Cuyler approached him. Although he was a prince and not a frightened animal, he responded in a similar way to Cuyler's calm body language. Myrus was trying his best to keep steady breaths as he wrung his hands, the mutterings stopping for the moment and he was able to speak clearly, for the most part. "V-Valda...Sh-she's going to kill Valda..." Myrus sobbed. "A-a-and L-Luna...A-and the...the ExtraOrdinary Wizard...A-and the Chief Hermetic Scribe...A-and the Wendron Witches...A-and me..."

Arya was watching Myrus, transfixed with what had happened. She hadn't seen such raw potential before - and it did not feel like Magyk to her. She would have Sensed it and beyond witchcraft, the Royal Family never showed any Magykal aptitude. It was something to do with their violet eyes, she was certain. They refused to tinge green. She was about to say something when out of the corner of her eye, Atkin was covered in purple velvet. She smiled slightly at the sight, though her smile faded when she considered it could have been a result of nerves.

"I think purple looks far better on me, don't you agree Atkin?" Arya said softly, before she cast a Reverse and set Atkin's clothing back to normal. She had walked over with Cuyler and Valda to see Myrus, doing a quick MindRead in an attempt to figure out what was wrong with him. However, her concentration was broken as she heard Thalia utter the word mutant. "Rowland, have you ever heard of such a thing?" she asked quietly.

Rowland pondered it for a moment, before he shook his head. "I recall reading it in one tome or another at the Manuscriptorium, yet its meaning escapes me..."

"Very well. All the more reason to go consult Uncle Marcellus - I mean, Mr. Dumont," Arya said, correcting herself. Her mother had been rather close friends with the Chief Hermetic Scribe and had introduced him to Arya at a young age. She hadn't been able to quite manage to say Marcellus when she was that little, so for a time, she called him Uncle Marcie. As often as Rowland came to visit her family during her one month a year of vacation time during her apprenticeship, Marcellus sometimes seemed to be a constant fixture. He was her mother's best friend, after all.

"...She called me a mutant..." Myrus whispered, having calmed down since Cuyler came over and talked to him. It seemed to have almost completely snapped him out of it, just having someone approach him gently. He looked at Valda with confusion, searching for answers in her face. "Valda...Am I going to die?" Myrus then asked quietly, his eyes watering. He was terrified and didn't understand what was happening to him.

Asha spoke with Emperor Taj softly, before she ran after Lyra and the others who were going inside to secure the child. When they reached Lyra's room at the Servant Headquarters, the door was hot to the touch and swung open gently. Inside, surrounded by flames, was a happy gurgling baby dragon. It then seemed to sneeze and there was a poof and it looked like a human baby.

"...It's a shapeshifter..." Asha whispered with wonder.

"More a pyromaniac, if you ask me," Puck added, having apparently decided to tag along as well.

The Port: Port Witch Coven House

As the fighting upstairs rages on, so does the bitter battle on the first floor. In medicine, the worst bacteria remains after treatment with antibiotics - the ones strong enough to remain and adapt, to survive despite the horrors. In a similar line of thought, so remained the one Port Witch on the first floor - Constance. She was the Magykal equivalent of antibiotic resistant bacteria, at least as far as the Wendron Witches and the Young Army were concerned.

"I don't think you were supposed to make it this far, girlie," Constance mused, concentrating as she opened a portal to the Other. A disgusting creature, made of bones and spirits and yet somehow appearing to be a cohesive organism, practically oozed forward. It devoured Little-Bell and another Wendron Witch whole, before swallowing up Boy 604. There was only one Wendron Witch left on the bottom floor and Constance stared at her, before the girl took off and ran outside, crashing into Boy 512. "And stay out," Constance added, before slamming the door and beginning to work on repairing the wards, despite limping.

Constance then looked around, seeing the Other oozing through bodies and the gigantic mess the battle had left. "And I thought my son was a slob," she muttered.

Back upstairs, Jadis felt the numbers of her Coven dwindle until there were only three of them left. She wagered a guess that one of them was Valda - and the other must have been some poor soul downstairs. Her eyes flickered over towards Amarantha, hearing her comment about being on a timeline, but she couldn't focus on that. Jadis had been so certain that she was going to emerge victorious on this day - that the Port Witch Coven would no longer be a stain upon the world. And instead, she had lost just about everything. She'd need to rebuild from scratch, CradleSnatch every girl on the streets she could find, convince Valda to let her steal away the Castle's children in order to return the Wendron Witches to their glory.

But Jadis' pride would not allow her to flee. With her coven in ruin, she had another option available to her. The Port Witch Coven would have taken their children to safety - she had not seen them here. If she could just kill Fleur and locate the safehouse, then those children would be hers. Any surviving Port Witches would pledge loyalty to her as the new Witch Mother. "It's time to fulfill the prophecy," Jadis whispered, looking at Fleur who was struck with grief. She didn't particularly care about Luna at that moment. Others seemed to have that handle.

"I will become the Witch Messiah," Jadis swore. There was a legend that one day, when the world was almost balanced between Lyte and Darke, witches from all around would respond to the call of a single figure. This individual was blessed with all gifts of Magyk, causing even wizards to quake with fear at their might.

"I sacrifice myself, heart and soul, to the Elder Gods - to the masters of Magyk - the mothers of witches and warlocks - the beginning and the end," Jadis recited. She had no skill in Darke Magyk but she knew the words of the prophecy - the words she needed to pledge in order to achieve the ultimate power. It was a Magyk beyond any other. "Chthon, take me as your host!" Jadis shouted.

Magyk began coursing through her veins and there was a glow in her eyes, one that would blind any who looked at her. Jadis smirked, about to take a step forward towards Fleur when she cried out in pain. Her body began to wither away, until she turned to dust in front of Fleur's eyes and crumbled into a small pile on the ground.

"...I always did say she was a rubbish witch," Nera's voice whispered in Fleur's ear. She had only Appeared to Fleur thus far. No one else in the room could see her.

Outside the house, the wild haired woman looked at Luna for a moment, sizing her up. She could tell by her garb that she was noble and Harlianne couldn't help but frown with distaste. She hated nobility as a rule. They never brought about anything but trouble. "How much gold we talkin', savvy?" the woman - Harlianne James - asked. She then glanced at the others who fell from the window, taking a step back as Amarantha and Rhys appeared. "These mates of yours or somethin', little miss?"

Dorothy Pender

Location: Prometheus: Lower Floor: Medical
Skills: Discipline

Dorothy heard Foy's long winded acceptance of the job and she pinched the bridge of her nose. Jahosafat had already left the room and she had it to herself. Had she been in the mood, she might have playfully mocked Foy's decadent language with an overly verbose reply of her own, but her friend was dead. While Jackson's death had saddened her and so had Camilla's, Atticus' was hitting particularly close to home. "You were an idiot," she finally said, breaking the silence as she stared at Atticus' body. "A gorram drunkard. A man of extremes who dealt in vices and religion. Your lifestyle of indulgence is what killed you, Atticus."

But she paused, folding her hands neatly as she fell into a parade rest. "You were like my old man, Atticus. But the thing that set you twos apart was....was that you were just as kind as you were prideful, just as generous and selfless as you were lustful. You were a man of extremes but....you were my friend," Dorothy finished, her voice breaking a bit. She took a moment to compose herself again, but a tear had slid down her face anyways. "...I think I cared for you, Atticus," Dorothy finally whispered.

"Also...Related, but," she sniffled, "I guess I win the book war then. Unless you're intendin' on comin' back from the dead to chuck a bible at me. And uh....I think my sister might be dating some boy, could've used you to scare him, blow up his bunk or somethin'....So um...Yeah. Guessin' you've finally learned which one of us was right about what happens after death but uh, for what it's worth...I hope you were."

Fitz Townsley

Location: Prometheus: Lower Deck: In between Single Top (7) and Medical ---> Galley
Skills: None

"I-I-I-I th-thought you said there w-w-were no reavers!" Fitz stammered. He had considered swearing but he had been raised to believe that swearing was impolite. In addition, his mother told him that if he really were intelligent (and not the idiotic one of the twins), he would be able to express his frustrations without swearing. She never said anything like that to his sister, of course, but she was the prodigy. Everything was effortless to her and to Fitz, everything took sweat and determination. He didn't wake up one day understanding engineering. It took years of dedicated study and effort. He gave Daphne a stupid grin, despite still looking pale and terrified, as she pulled him to his feet.

However, the instant Anisa made the announcement about medical experimentation, he couldn't help but double time it. He practically ran alongside Daphne. He didn't think the captain was kidding - though he had to wonder what sort of doctor wanted to experiment on live subjects. And then it occurred to him - would the captain kill them first? And then let the doctor mess around with their corpses? He nearly fainted again at the thought as he took a seat next to Daphne in the galley, hoping that Jackie would keep that from happening to him.

October Crypt

Location: the Alucard Institute @Nallore

Faust glanced over at Carolina and looked at her with disgust. Sure, he was a demon but apparently, October had been right. Even demons were grossed out at the thought of periods and willing to let a student go to the restroom to handle them. Of course, it could have been more simply a disgust for human anatomy, but it was hard to tell. "Fine, go, just be quick about it," Faust stressed, waving his hand at Carolina as a cart of poisoned food was wheeled into the room.

"I have mine too," October said, raising her hand. Faust huffed and nodded, ushering at her with his hand to get lost. October picked up her things and quickly exited the classroom, hoping that Carolina was right behind her. She then quickly picked the lock to Faust's office and slipped inside, ready to find out every secret he was hiding. And most importantly, why he had started this school for the gifted in the first place.

Guin Stark

Guin read the text message from Lance. There were several things she figured that could reply to it with - but the first one was that Banner loved him. And after that, it was that there were tons of things she wished her father had kept from her. Namely, her mother - her life would've been so much better without Maddie in it. Her problems with addiction and drug abuse could be partially traced back to her relationship with her mother. Or at this moment in time, lack thereof. Her mother was a monster and Guin was happy to have her as far away from her as was possible.

She eventually decided on her reply and sent a text back - You never know. From the file, he sounded like he really cares about you.

Back in the main area, Banner noticed the glowing light from his son's hands. He bit his lip, wondering what he could have done to set him off already. Or maybe, a small hopeful voice in the back of his mind thought, it was just him being scared about Sterns. "Hey buddy...It'll be alright..." he whispered softly, walking over to Lance and sitting down next to him. There was then the sound of a crash outside, as Thor returned from Asgard - hopefully with good news in the hunt for Sterns.

"Pointbreak's back," Widow mused.
