Ellie Theriot

Location: Building in New York

Ellie raised an eyebrow, looking over at Erik. She had heard the sound of ripping and at first, she figured he was going to participate in her chaotic mess. But he only destroyed the one paper. "Pourquoi est-ce que tu as fait ça?" she asked him simply, sticking to French now for the added benefit of keeping his answer relatively secret. She didn't trust the people they were with, especially since she was relatively certain McTaggert was a human and not a mutant. Mutants wouldn't be able to peacefully co exist. Each time she closed her eyes, she could still see the flames.

Ellie heard that they were low on time and she started grabbing papers at random. She didn't want to admit it to anyone, but she actually didn't know how to read English beyond the basics like - stop, street, crosswalk, phone, bathrooms and stuff like that. She had been raised reading French. She grabbed a few documents at random, figuring it was really the best she could do, and she pocketed them. Glancing over at the Spanish girl, Ellie rolled her eyes. "Come on Erik, let's go mon ami."

Scott Rydzynski

Location: His Apartment - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Employed Idiots

Scott had ignored texts from Cynthia, Gideon, and Isley - he had expressly told only the blind kid that she could have his phone number. He was irritated that they had disrespected his wishes, forcing him to be part of their secret club of people with whacked out powers. Scott contemplated just crushing his phone and changing the number, but he had a soft spot for the girl, Janelle. She reminded him too much of his own daughter - the one he never met - and if she needed help, he'd come. Anyone else...he'd flip a coin first. If it was heads or tails, he'd stay home.

Scott sighed, hearing a knock on his apartment door as he headed on over. He was dressed in jeans and an army t-shirt, his dog tags plainly visible as he opened the door. Despite his current line of work as a mercenary, he actually was a green beret - just retired from special forces. "Yeah?" Scott asked, taking a sip of his cup of coffee. "What can I do for ya, officer?" he then followed up, taking another sip.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Eden - Addams Wing
Skills: Stamina

At least Thana seemed to realize there was still a risk that there'd be others around and Beatrice would've gone to help her confirm her sweep, but her leg was starting to hurt more and more. Each movement was beginning to take its toll on her, despite her mental determination and grit. Knowing that there weren't any other enemies to anticipate - at least, assuming that Walkers hadn't started to swarm with the noise from all of the fighting - had allowed her to relax ever so slightly. She put the safety back on her pistol. She just nodded as Thalia suggested exiting via the window, as much as she doubted that'd be a fun experience for either her or Thana. And of course, there was Alex's hand. At least she was good at climbing.

Thankfully, their hopefully-not-actually-an-Edenite member had medical skills, patching up Thana before he moved onto Beatrice. She sized him up for a moment, before she nodded, consenting for him to take a look at her wound. Even she wasn't exactly sure what to expect with it - the bullet could have been in there, it could have been out. "Beatrice," she replied simply. She didn't appreciate being called young lady, but she knew the man was trying to help her so she didn't hold him against it - very much. "If you want, you can call me Trice," she then added, her tone still neutral but she was consciously holding back her usual ice. Once her leg was patched up, she went to the store area and grabbed a few cans of the Spaghettios that were there, stashing them in her bag. She was good on ammunition - food was something to consider.

And for now, she'd stick with the two gents. Her life used to always be about survival - but now, a small part of her wanted friends as well.

Jack Hudson

Location: the Buster
Skills: N/A

Jack's heart stopped beating for a moment - Ash had sent a team to handle Eden? He didn't know that it had been Thana, James, Gavin, Beatrice, Ryan, and a few tag alongs they gained along the way. His mind instantly assumed the worst - had Ash sent Tatiana off to take on Eden? Or did the attack on Eden only anger them, causing them to go look for Newnan survivors amongst the wreckage? He was trying to stay calm, but his mind kept on generating more and more doomsday scenarios, most of them not making any sense or even being possible.

"Who did ya send?" Jack asked. But he didn't even get a second to process the question before the radio he had started to smoke. Apparently he hadn't turned it off properly or anything, as Jack squinted in an effort to avoid the smoke, coughing and pulling on the back of it, attempting to open up the case. Once open, he'd then tear out the batteries, putting them down next to him. He didn't want to waste batteries and he had no idea how something like this could have even happened. It was like some entity out there was just conspiring against them.

All he really wanted, though, was for Tatiana to be okay.

Walnut was humming to herself in an effort to break the silence as her carriage traveled through the woods. She couldn't help but appreciate the haunting beauty of the woods, with the occasional noises of the various creatures. The atmosphere was chilling and she adored it, though hearing the calls of the birds caused her to jump and clench the carriage seat a little tighter. Her heart was hammering much like a bird when they sounded off, yet it didn't stop her piercing eyes from looking out the window, hoping to spot a glimpse of a wolf or another terrifying beast.

When the carriage came to a halt and Walnut existed, she ignored the driver as they explained that they'd see to the carriage themselves. She wasn't going to drive her own carriage naturally and the driver didn't have an invitation, so she hardly cared as they left. With the harsh temperatures, a horse was out of the question - and she couldn't help but be a bit amused, seeing those that had arrived by foot. However, her eyes widening as she spotted a man with a raven on his shoulder and she did a little hop, as if stepping over imaginary cracks or performing an odd dance, to move away from him, her eyes never going away from the bird. Yet at the same time as her heart was hammering, staring at the winged devil, she felt an intense pull to him.

"Oh this will not do, this will not do..." Walnut muttered to herself. She hardly payed attention to the menacing speech of the guards and the terrifying dogs and guns didn't phase her - but that damned bird! If it so much as moved, she was going to run and scream. Most likely in that order, unless plans changed. It was essentially a rodent with wings and she just knew it was going to peck someone's eyes. Preferably not hers. She loved her eyes.

Continuing to do the best as she could to avoid the bird, as much as she felt drawn to the man himself, she walked up behind an opinionated woman in a black and red gown, hearing the power dynamics and social lines already begin to come into play. Once it was her turn, she showed the man her invitation, still just staring at the man with the raven. Her eyes didn't leave the beast even as she walked through the gate, the seeming blood on top of it hardly phasing her.

Fitz Townsley

Location: Prometheus: Lower Floor: Medical
Skills: None

"Uh uh, s-sure..." Fitz stammered, a bit weirded out. He wasn't used to people insisting on him to go eat. Only his parents had ever really done that and there were moments when Fitz realized they wouldn't care if he starved, as long as it meant his twin sister never went hungry. Fortunately, the family finances were such so that way it never even approached that. At least Jahosafat covered up the body, so Fitz lowered his shaking hand, only to gulp slightly as he saw the indent of it through what Jahosafat had covered it up with. Somehow, he felt like it had made it much much much worse.

"A-a-a fluffernutter?" Fitz asked, a bit confused. He'd never heard of anything like that before and instantly, he was imagining the worst case scenario: peanut butter, mixed in with the grey matter of a crew member that pissed off Anisa. As he headed outside of medical with Jahosafat, still feeling a bit weird and awkward for the doctor to be spending time making sure he ate, his jaw dropped at what the tall blonde man called him. While Jahosafat was rendered speechless and Foy appeared, Fitz wasn't processing what they were saying. He was just gobsmacked, looking at the man, and then a miracle happened.

"You can't just say that to people!" Fitz snapped, speaking the first sentence without any stammers that any on board the ship had witnessed. "That's....that's just rude!" Unfortunately, the Pender sisters were not available to witness it, with Dorothy leading her sister to the office to look for Anisa. She was dreading this conversation, but it had to be done. As she heard the shouting and intercom conversation, Dorothy stopped and looked at her sister, changing course as she then headed to the galley, expecting to find Anisa there.

Nora Kingston

Location: Museum - Vera's Office
Skills: N/A

All thoughts of further experimentation with the cat and the symbols fled from her mind as the unspeakable tragedy occurred. She had a brief moment where she could not help but think of George, with his special disfigurement, as she stared at the glass shards in Mahendra's face. Lady Munn nearly did herself in with her attempt to grab the first aid kit and as Josephine called for someone to get help, Nora realized that the duty logically fell to her. Lady Munn would further injure herself and Josephine was managing the poor man.

"I'll go fetch some aid," Nora said softly, before she quickly fled the office. She vaguely remembered how to get to the main area where she had been directed her first night she went to the museum. She figured a receptionist, a curator, any employee - they would be able to summon a doctor posthaste. As soon as she found one, Nora quickly explained the situation, giving only the pertinent details. "Mahendra has been grievously injured in Lady Munn's office - glass shards are covering his face and you need to summon urgent medical attention."

@ihinka@BlueSky44@Kirah@rivaan@Nallore@FantasyChic@McHaggis@17th Day@Peridot
Present Day - S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy: August 17th, 2020 - 9:00 A.M.

In the past few days, people were transferred over to the Bus. The jet was grounded on the academy grounds, since the team needed the facilities in order to train, yet Fury wanted them to become accustomed to their new surroundings. There were several rounds of rigorous sweeps of the academy, including polygraphs, "truth serum," personality profiling, and even telepathically aided interrogations. None of them managed to find anymore remnants of HYDRA within the school or within the Phase Three program itself.

Of course, that wasn't to say it was an uneventful time of transition...

"And you're sure about this, Agent Johnson?" Fury asked, standing behind his desk as he spoke with Daisy Johnson, one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s finest agents. Johnson nodded and Fury sighed, handing her a file and quietly informing her that they'd speak more about this later. "Send in Agent Rhodes, will ya?" he asked, rubbing his forehead. He wasn't sure if it was time to cut off a finger or not - but he was less and less confident in who could really be trusted lately.

Sami stifled a sigh as he was requested to see Fury. Now was the time to mingle more with his new teammates, get to know them a bit more before they started training, but it seemed that the Director had different plans. He sure wouldn't be happy if his Uncle had gone through the wrong channels again for yet another lecture. Agent Johnson's face hadn't given any clues as to what the talk would be about, anyway.

Heading off towards Fury's office once given directions, Sami let a quiet groan in the hallway, releasing what pent-up irritation he could before entering the room. Upon entering, Fury's face didn't give much clues either. "Sir." He addressed Fury in a more respectable manner this time, not wanting to toe the line as much as before.

"Have a seat, Sami," Fury said, his tone more gentle than angry for once. He opened a drawer on his desk and pulled out a few cheap pieces of candy, setting them down in front of Sami. Some people liked to do things with their hands. He wasn't going to give him a box of tissues - he figured that Sami could take this news like a soldier.

He froze as he closed the door behind him, eyeing the candy, then Fury, then the candy again. This was an unfamiliar and uncomfortable territory. Stepping cautiously towards the desk, he sat down warily. "Is uh... is this supposed to soften the blow of getting fired?" He asked with a nervous chuckle, motioning towards the candy pieces. If this was another test, it sure as hell was a weird one.

Fury chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "If you were fired, I'd be screamin' at ya," Fury pointed out. He then took a seat as well and sighed. There wasn't a good way to put this - so he figured it'd be good enough to just come out and say it. "Your uncle is compromised."

Sami felt only a brief moment of relief before it was shattered at Fury's final words. His back stiffened, and his mind scrambled around those words. He wasn't Army, but he knew that "compromised" was never a word one wanted to hear. Still, it was left vague... it could mean James was injured, captured, or just stuck in a really bad situation. And then there was the alternative that Sami didn't even want to consider.

"What happened?" He asked stiffly, wondering how things could have gone south for his Uncle so quickly after they'd spoken on the phone less than a half hour ago.

Fury stared at Sami for a moment, as if he were sizing him up, determining if he was someone that could be trusted with vital information. He then pulled out another folder - identical to the one he had given Quake - and placed it down in front of him. "Your uncle hasn't been seen in two weeks," Fury explained flatly. "Mission details are in there. But Sami, I need you to tell me - what did he say to you on the phone? Anything we should know about?"

The answer was something Sami definitely hadn't expected, but his shock was mingled with relief. James being MIA was bad, especially for a fortnight - but he'd spoken with him not an hour ago, so he was clearly alive. And okay enough to give him a lecture like he was 15 years old again.

"I- he didn't really say anything. I mean, berating me about messing up the simulation, mainly." He replied with an confused frown, picking up the file and opening it. "Don't use lethal force, Pietro is a nice guy now, pay more attention, phone your mother, blah blah blah." Nothing had stood out, barring the last one. James had always understood Sami's relationship with his parents. Mainly, one didn't exist anymore since he was turfed out at the age of 12 over something he couldn't control. Sami paused as he realised something, looking back to Fury. "If he's been missing for so long, how come you didn't speak to him? You had him listening in on the whole thing, right?"

Fury sighed slightly, looking at Sami. He had hoped that Sami would be able to clue him in on anything out of the ordinary - just one small piece of intel that would help them. Quake hadn't been able to trace the phone call and with other troubling developments, Fury couldn't help but assume the worst. Colonel Rhodes wouldn't be the only one to disappear - he was certain of it. "I tried. He wouldn't tell me anything. I was hoping he said something to you. Techs can't get a lock on the signal and as far as we can tell...it looked like he wanted to disappear. Or more likely, someone wants us to think that."

Sami was growing more bemused by the second. Things didn't exactly add up - his Uncle wasn't the kind to go dark, even for the sake of a mission. Even then, if he had done that, why blow his cover by phoning his nephew, via a S.H.I.E.L.D phone as opposed to his own personal one?

"Sorry I can't help, but... he didn't really say anything. Just pointing out how I'd screwed up in the simulation, that the US government didn't kill people with clean records - which in itself is just a joke statement to make, but whatever - that I should call my Mom, he loved me, but he had to go. Said I shouldn't suggest killing people as a solution, as it "makes us look bad", then hung up before I could even say hello or goodbye." Sami shrugged helplessly, wracking his brains for what had been said. Had he said something in code, maybe? Nothing that Sami could point out, not without a recording or transcript of the conversation to look at. "I'm sorry, but I can't think why he'd ring me randomly outta the blue like that, especially with something like this mission going on. He didn't mention it once to me, even when we last spoke." He then thought on Fury's last words, that someone else was behind all this. "Could it be a mimic, maybe? Trying to throw you off his scent somehow? Mystique could do shit like that, from what I've read about her." As far as he knew, the shape-shifting mutant was still at large, but he couldn't imagine what she'd be doing with his Uncle. He wasn't even part of the whole mutant side of things.

Fury nodded, a bit disappointed that Sami hadn't had better information for him. "That's all I needed to ask you about - don't worry, we've got our best and brightest people on this. I'm calling Stark soon, see if I can convince him to help us track down Rhodes. Figured he won't say no to helping out an old friend. And as far as killing people goes...Lucia von Bardas," Fury said, before he opened the door to Sami, signalling that the conversation was over.

Sami stood slowly, looking at the mission file once again in discomfort. There was a lot more he wanted to discuss, but Fury looked like he had clammed up pretty well, especially after stating a name that only seemed slightly familiar to Sami. Nodding stiffly and heading towards the door, he paused as he opened it, looking back. "Keep me posted, please? I can keep this all quiet... God knows I'm used to it after the job I've had." Struggling to find any more words, he left the room and closed the door behind him, slumping against it and taking a deep breath. These past few hours had been an uncomfortable rollercoaster of emotions, that was for sure.

It was only after he'd stepped down the corridor a few yards before he recalled the familiar name, and a cursory search of Google revealed her to be the Prime Minister of Serbia. He still couldn't understand the connection between her and Fury's statement, but at the moment, he wasn't in the mood to investigate and connect the dots. Right now all he wanted was a soft bed and hard booze... but unfortunately, the training rooms beckoned.

Alright guys, it's training time. Depending on how things go, we'll have 2-3 rounds of training. This training will take your characters one week of IC time - in real life, you will have 10 days to complete these collabs. So remember, day 10 you need to have your collab up, day 11 it's kicking time. Once all of the collabs have been posted, I'll see what control over your powers you've learned or if you've gained any skills.

Training facilities are located in Building 2 of the Academy, home to Operations. In your collabs, it's just you and your trainer in the room. Most of you are being trained in groups, so trainers, play off of that! You have 10 days once more to get through the entirety of the collab. This is also a good time to contact me and request changes to your character's possessions. After the training rounds are done, we'll be jumping back in with our first mission.

Present Day - The Castle: December 21st, 12,507 - 3:40 PM

The Winking Duck Tavern

While Sylvi and Myth were both having interesting conversations, the rest of the bar was far from silent. Customers continued to order ale and FizzFroot, mixing them on occasion and one unfortunate fellow even got one dumped on his head. Yet beyond the usual juvenile antics, there was a woman sobbing in the corner. She hadn't come into the bar too long ago.

"My son....My baby boy..." she mumbled, holding a filthy handkerchief to her eyes.

"This is all that blasted witch Queen's doing!" a man snapped, with a half a dozen others murmuring in agreement.

"I heard it was a set up too, that the Queen paid the Port Witches to off her baby sister..." another chimed in.

One of them slammed their fist down on the table. "We've waited long enough for that purple bitch to do somethin' about this! It's time we took matters into our own hands and burned that damned witch at the stake! Just like in the olden days..."

Back over at the bar itself, where the twins, Bruce, and the bards were seated, Marya just rolled her eyes at her adoptive father. "Ох, велики проблем? Као да је узео два тинејџера који су изгубили родитеље, а онда су играли мртвог оца?" Marya taunted, sticking close to her twin sister. "Хоћеш ли да откачиш ово место, сестро?" she then asked Medea softly. She had started to get bored poking fun at Bruce. And Sylvi, sadly, wasn't giving the sort of rise that she had hoped for.

Road out of the Port

Rhys' luck has finally taken a turn for the better. For reference, he rolled a 17 on the d20 this turn. The Smugglers Bolt path is relatively deserted and as it heads underneath the ground, it stays firm. There's no signs of an impending cave in and the air quality remains relatively fresh. However, he is far from alone. As he continues to walk through the Smugglers' Bolt, a spectral form of a man Appears to him.

The man hasn't been seen at the Castle in almost a decade, though it didn't matter, as Rhys would recognize him instantly. The ghost was Fendrel Silvers, the husband of the late Queen Meliscente. Most in the Castle assumed that he had been killed by some illness, with Queen Meliscente forbidding the guard to speak of what had happened due to grief. He had been a knight, catching the eye of the Queen and causing her to forgo a marriage for political alliance.

Fendrel looked at Rhys, giving him a smile. "My daughter looked beautiful - didn't she?"

Palace Servants Quarters - Lyra's Bedroom

Lyra managed to put out the flames that had threatened Puck's life, though it was more fortunate for Richard than the Young Army commander himself. Puck stared into Richard's eyes as he was slammed up against the wall. He regretted for a moment dispatching his Deputy Hunter - but he did not oversee the entire Young Army for no reason. "Of course," Puck said with a sympathetic tone. "Forgive me - the sudden flames on my person took me by surprise...and brought out an ugliness within me. I mean no harm to come to your child."

Asha glanced at Puck, raising an eyebrow. "No, just like you wish no harm to come to the other children you call soldiers," she said simply. "In my country, you would be stoned for that. And it would be called a mercy." Baby Zekarra seemed to have calmed down, just snuggling in Thalia's arms and making the occasional cooing noise.

Puck laughed, looking at Asha. "Now I see you, my dear."

Arya Rincewind

Location: The Palace - the Long Walk ----> the Palace Landing

Arya nodded absentmindedly as Atkin explained he was going to go out to the landing to meet the Queen and her sister. Her mind was hyper focused on Cuyler cupping her hand and there was something so thrilling about it, she half expected to remove the glove from her left hand and see that the scar had vanished entirely. "Unfortunately, I am not immune to it, no..." The chill had largely left her body and Rowland glanced over at the pair, chuckling.

"Arya, my dear, your surroundings," Rowland nudged her, before he went off after Atkin. He couldn't help but be amused with how hopeless his former Apprentice was when it came to matters of the heart. She had such promise and potential - as well as natural skill - for Magyk. But romance? She seemed to be lacking in that department.

"Right, of course," Arya responded, letting go of Cuyler's hand. As she moved to head outside to the landing herself, Cuyler would manage to catch her by the arm for a moment. Her green eyes locked with his for a second before she pulled away, shaking her head slightly. "I still have my duties to attend to - as the Castle's ExtraOrdinary Wizard," she said softly. There were other words that hovered in the silence, ones that she herself didn't even quite understand. For now, they would have to be unsaid.

"Fine, but I'm coming with you and I will be with you until you take a bloody break," Cuyler said and moved ahead to lead her out into the cold. He had seen his fair share of death due to cold and Ayra was showing all the signs but he knew stubbornness when he saw it. Too bad for her, there was a stubbornness within Cuyler as well.

Arya smiled slightly. "What if I care to take a break void of bloodshed?" She then headed out to the Palace Landing, Cuyler accompanying her. The sun was setting and brilliant hues of red, orange, and pink painted the sky. Snowflakes continued to fall from the sky, landing in Arya's dark hair and creating a vivid contrast. As she stood on the docks next to Atkin, she felt Cuyler's chest making contact with her back. Any shiver or tremble that went through her body, he would be able to feel with ease. Perhaps it was the chill or her emotions, but the blush on her cheeks only increased, looking practically crimson.

"Aye, bit of a fancy title if I do say so meself," Harlianne answered Amarantha, offering no more information than that. Asha the Magykal wasn't someone that Harlianne looked like she'd be an associate with by any means. Amarantha would instantly feel better having drank some of the potion, with Harlianne taking it back and tucking it away in a pocket. Sure, Amarantha's bonds were far from mended but the process had been accelerated quickly.

"Your highness - I am glad to see you and your sister have returned safely," Rowland said, a genuine smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.

"Please, come inside, your highnesses," Arya then added. She noted that the Deputy Hunter was there, along with two women she didn't recognize. It bothered her as they were unknown variables, but what was important was that Luna and Valda had both returned to the Palace safely. There was no Magyk about Luna to suggest that she had been successfully CradleSnatched either. "Myrus Marcellus is with Becky, the healer," Arya explained, looking at Luna in particular. "She can tend to both of you and one of your servants should be able to fetch the coin promised to this....person."

The Badlands: Port Witch Coven Safe House/Antonije's Observatory

Constance nodded. "Of course - Antonije may be an idiot, but he isn't a fool," she explained. His talents were more with mechanics and machinery, but there was a reason Constance had adopted him practically the day his and the twins' parents died. His talents were incredibly rare and it was a shame that he refused to learn Magyk. He could have been a powerful and mighty Warlock, an asset to the Port Witch Coven.

Eventually, Fleur's peace was interrupted but not by Constance. She was having trouble locating the twins. Instead, Jezebel entered the room, looking at Fleur. "I had a vision," she told the Witch Mother, taking a seat on a bed next to her. She was clairvoyant, her own special gift. "You're going to want to pay attention to this one."
