@BCTheEntityAh, thank you sir. I shall switch them up tonight mein herr.
Cyrdic ripped his sword out of a dead duelist, and then wiped his sword on the dead man's tunic. He gave Ricardo a look, and nodded to the man in thanks. The Tilean gave him a curt salute, and Cyrdic took it for what it was. Despite their disagreements, they were in this together for both Camilla, and survival. For now they needed to find a way to get out of this house. "Hang on, love." Cyrdic said, holding Camilla's leg's tight as she hung from the back of him.

Cyrdic and Ricardo made their way out of the room and into the hallway, and they both realized they had been too beglamored to know the way out. Ricardo cursed in Tilean, and Cyrdic knew a decision needed to be made. "Come on." He said, indicating they should move left and heading that way without pause, trying not to buck so to help Camilla get less dizzy and woozy. Soon, after a few minutes of winding and curving hallways, they made it to what appeared to be an exit.

Cyrdic and Ricardo burst into the street, the cobblestones and the night sky very welcome. What wasn't welcome however, was that there were a dozen city guardsmen armed and pointing their halberds at them, with two coaches behind them. "Halt, villains!" A scarred, older Guard said. He looked to have seen one too many horrors in his life, with a surly disposition and apparently busied himself with chewing something unknown within his jowls.

Cyrdic set Camilla down, keeping an arm around her to make sure she could stand. "Officers, we were led here by-" The Ostlander began, before the Sergeant grunted a disbelieving laugh. "This house belongs to the esteemed lady Elspeth, who is beholden to the lady Valgiana. You picked the wrong mansion to rob." He spat his tobacco onto the cobblestone street, and motioned for his guards to disarm them and take them in.

Ricardo held his sword up at the ready, unsure of what to do. Cyrdic didn't like the idea of parting with his sword. "Sirs, please. Where is the proof of our crime?"

"We'll get to the bottom of it once you're safely in chains."

Five Goblins stayed near the bushes, nocking arrows into their shortbows and giggling murderously as they aimed. Two of them aimed at Wren fleeing away on her horse, and one arrow managed to hit her horse, though it wasn't a strong hit and the big animal wouldn't die from such a wound. It whinnied in pain, however. The other arrow struck a tree right beside Wren's head, missing her by a hair's breadth.

Kayden leaped into the fray, flanking the Goblins that surrounded Aldrich. He hacked through two of them before they realized he was there to aid his comrade, and his attack was distraction enough to give Aldrich (and Miri) breathing room as well. "We don't need to kill all of them. Just enough to scare them off." Kayden told them, breathing somewhat haggardly. He picked up one of the fallen spears, and poked at one of the Goblins that was attempting to stab him. They were still surrounded, but the Goblins seemed to be wavering a bit with their morale.

"Stick together. I'll get Wren," The Prince said, surging forward and swinging his spear to keep the Goblins at bay, using the sweep as a feint. One of the Goblin's thought he was off balance from the swing, but Kayden still had his sword in his other hand, and when the Goblin attacked behind his spear swing, Kayden chopped into its skull with his blade.

He then leaped back and mounted one of the frightened horses, years spent riding letting him ride it well enough. "Hya!" He called, and pursued Wren into the forest, bowling a path through the Goblins to further help his allies as the monsters became confused. Kayden was struck by a spear point, though his armor blocked most of the blow. He grimaced but rode forward, into the archers and toward the horse that carried Wren.

"Ouch," Neil breathed when he heard the screaming on the end of the other line. Seemed they weren't used to visitors, or the visitors they were used to decided it would be fun to try to kill them all. Well, Neil wouldn't put it past people from this God forsaken planet. "Roger roger," He told Sayeeda, matching the ships movements with the signals they were given to the T. If he was going to be a hot shot, it wouldn't be now. They needed to get this job done, after all.

They crested another rise in the ground, past another flowing river, and a makeshift port that looked to be just as much timber as it was steel appeared before their eyes. It was a sizeable settlement, nestled into the side of one of the sloping mountains that snaked across the landscape, towering over all but the oldest trees on Savran. A docking port was near the very edge of the city's steel 'plateau' that hung over the drop of the mountain, like an enormous deck.

A beacon was emitted above Neil's right, and he pressed open the display to see the docking port they were to land at. It was on a raised sub-plateau, and Neil raised an eyebrow when he saw five armed men flanking another man who wore a wide brimmed hat standing at the bay, waiting for them to land. At Sayeeda's request, Neil set the Highlander down nice and easy, and he could have sworn he heard the landing pad shudder from their weight when he landed.

"Well hopefully adding another body to the prisoner bay won't tip us over," Neil said sarcastically, unbuckling and powering down the Highlander, simultaneously opening the exit ramp so Sayeeda could walk out and greet their welcoming party. "You want me in the ship or should I walk out there with ya?" the Pilot asked her on the comms.

He was planning on walking out there eventually, but whether she wanted him ready for a getaway...

@Poohead189 - In my opinion, that’s just someone who is more authoritative and wants to make it transparent/clear where the line is for everyone who is reading; not just one isolated player. It’s creating a standard.

No arguments.
@POOHEAD189 Yeah, I am usually only really nit picky with people I have been ~warned~ about. You came with a recommendation from someone else that I trusted, so there was no need.

But yeah, how a Gm tears apart a CS weighs on the Rp and the RPer. Sure, be blunt, straight to the point, don't sugar coat it but you don't have to be a "C" about it either. (Well that is unless they go off the deep end :P) Gm's willing to work with their Rpers if they are having issues completing the CS can make a world of difference. Hell I color code for people who have to type on their phone or tablets if they ask so they don't need to. (Shit I've done it for their posts via PM when it was an issue.)

Now, I will say there are plenty of times I put the ~no argument~ when I make a ruling or the like; simply because there is usually that 1 person who is goading to start something either because they are just a twit in general or more likely than not are having a bad day and taking it out on everyone. That usually goes with the rules in general and not so much the CS's for me since I have explinations of what is and is not accepted in each Rp down the line of the CS sections. It just cuts down on the flame wars that can start in OOC and those will kill an RP faster than a GM who lost interest.

I do think it's healthy to do the 'no argument' rule as well when it comes to RP's as a whole, or someone who has been problematic. It just seems odd to me if you use it out of the blue for something when the person you're speaking to has yet to reply back. That could just be me however. If a GM tells me to change I'll never argue unless they're explicitly mean-spirited on the get go.

Definitely, don't sugar coat it. Just don't be unnecessarily mean about it. I agree^
@Lady AmaltheaI have to say that while your character sheets were a real chore, you judged them well and you didn't get too nit-picky as far as I can recall, which is a good quality for a GM who has such a massive sheet.

@DervishYou distracted yourself during gains!? And to think, I had respect for you.

To be honest, I think the character sheet depends on the type of roleplay. Even when it's in a different setting, Lady A's and Hushedwhisper's RP's tend to have a very big slice of life feel, so the relationship part, as well as a few others are more necessary in those than they would be in, say, a Warhammer 40k RP. In such a universe, even though there are relationships and intrigue, they take a definite backseat to the Orks/Daemons/Aliens trying to kill you and your squad. Plus there are healthy medium roleplays like the one I am in with Dervs, where there's a relationship sheet that most people adopt but there's plenty who don't use it and it causes no problems.

And the relationship sheet is an example. My point is there's different requirements for different RPs, so the sheets obviously need changing sometimes.

I think my main problem is the tact of GM's when they have you fill a character sheet out and you give it to them. Especially if it's a long ass sheet, or you took your time in writing 8 paragraphs overall and they're simply, for lack of a better term, too big of an asshole to not simply say "here are my thoughts" and instead go to something like "are you not taking this seriously?" Like bitch, who writes 8 paragraphs for a fucking joke. Or if they go "this HAS to change immediately, no arguments," which is something I have seen a few times when I am a first time RPer in their roleplay, and I'm like "...I uh...haven't ever argued before?" O_o.

The point is, no matter what character sheet you get people to fill out, don't be an asshole when you correct them. Just simply give them a list of what you need changed without any sass. That makes ANY character sheet a lot more enjoyable to fill out. I can do 20 paragraphs for an RP I enjoy if the GM is a tactful person.
the RPer put a modicum of thought into the character beyond the name age and who they want to fuck

Oh Fabby

I dunno, not wanting to do an entire history in a CS seems fine to me. But then I come from the school of thought that I'm more interested in a character when they don't tell me how juveniley tragic their backstory is (because it always is) right from the start. But also I'm petty and all my history sections on a profile are intentionally vague and surrounded by adjectives and sentences that add nothing but length. Kind of like every essay done last minute.

Don't get me wrong I understand why some people want a history section since it shows the RPer put a modicum of thought into the character beyond the name age and who they want to fuck but I don't really see the point in needing fucking essays about their favorite Christmas memory as a child or whatever.

But also I think super strict and specific character sheets are bad so maybe it's me being shitty.

I agree though. A History should not be extra detailed. It should give a good structure on their past and explain why they are the way they are. Kind of like just reciting a memory. After that, should be good.

Neil completed his twisting flight through the valley once the pursuing missile had exploded, the young man checking his sensors to make sure none were following now as well. "Yes ma'am," he told her with a certain energy, truly enjoying the high stakes flying they were performing. He was a good fighter and loved a good scrap in and out of a machine, but he'd always felt a thrill escaping a pursuer, in a marketplace or piloting a ship on an unknown world.

Even the best pilot couldn't get through the forest unscathed, but the Highlander took nothing more than glancing scrapes from the massive trees and their branches as Neil flew them out of the wilderness and above one of the winding rivers that snaked across the landscape, keeping low just as the Captain had ordered. He checked the coordinates and knew they still had another few valleys to traverse before they made it to the port they were trying to get to.

"Let's hope whoever shot that missile isn't someone we bump into later," Neil said, turning the Auxiliary power on low as they glided. It seemed the forest within these valleys had small geysers of methane that shot out of the planet's surface for some reason. Neil would need to do some more geometric and geothermal readings within Savran at some point, but for now they were just about to make it to their destination.

Suddenly, a hailing signal was sent to their Display monitor. Neil awaited his Captain's go to before answering.

@FetzenMy bad! You are/were free to post wherever you would have your character if that ever happens.
