This is gross, He thought to himself.

Basil did not look at the rainbow energy coalescing at the Espurr's hand, but directly in its eyes. There was not any fight in the cat's eyes, just fear that reflected back a very familiar situation.

"You feel trapped right? I know that feeling all too well,"said Basil, never breaking his gaze at the little cat's eyes. There was no desire to fight in his eyes either, not anymore. "No matter what you do or what you think, there is always that feeling that there is someone's grip around your neck. It's suffocating and you think that you can never get away from it, but I'm here to tell you that's not the truth. Believe me, it's scary, but you are not alone. Even when you are at your lowest, there are still good people everywhere that will reach out to you with an open hand, you just have to take it."

He could feel a lump form in his throat as his hands balled up into a tight fist, a tension coiled up his stomach like a wound up spring. That tension released and he shouted desperately, "So fight back and show that bastard that you aren't a weapon! You're alive and right here, right now you get to make the choice, not him! Your tether to him is as flimsy as the Pokeball knocked out of his hand! So fight back and know you are not alone in this because there is another little psychic-type just like you, fighting for her freedom! This is your chance!"

Glory looked back up at his trainer with a look that he was starting to get a better idea what was going on inside of his dyed white head, who he actually was. It turned to look back at the Espurr with a curious gaze. "Hawlucha. Lucha lucha? Haw, haw lucha. Hawlucha lucha. Haw?" It translated as something along the lines of, "I don't understand as much as my trainer, but it's plain to me that you don't want to fight. Why fight for your trainer if he didn't earn your respect? Basil beat me honorably and I followed him of my own accord. I haven't known him for long, but I know he wears his heart on his sleeve and right now he's fighting for you too. Maybe you're pointing that attack at the wrong person?"

@Sho Minazuki

Thanks for the feedback. I'll apply those changes soon.
@Digmata
Had to actually look to see who the first one was lol.
This is my rough draft for my dude. Probably made him a bit overpowered lol. I have no idea what to make his Black Regalia.

Oh yeah I forgot Yankee, a player on this site, drew Evigian-Spinarrak for fun. If you guys want to thank him let him know.
@Zarkun

"Even if we can't always understand Pokemon with words, we can always understand them through intention if we look close enough. That's the first step of being a trainer. However, in this case I suppose I can't blame you. After all, you aren't from around here are you?" She said with a knowing grin that stretched across her wrinkled face. He gave off the vibes of a stranger in a strange land.

Her gaze shifted to the Riolu and there was a sadness in her eyes. Her smile almost seemed regretful. "Did you know that Lucarios are very powerful Pokemon and one of the few with the ability to sense the aura of all living things? Each aura is unique and tells of a person's character. They can even weaponize it, mold it into what they wish. Imagine how valuable a Pokemon they were to Cipher and how ruthless they were to acquire them, but there was a singular problem: they evolved when they formed unbreakable bonds. What they did, well, I'll spare you the details. It's too cruel to mention."

She shifted her attention back to Jason. "Ten years isn't a long time and trauma never really heals, not for them. Could you ever imagine a Pokemon like a Riolu inheriting that trauma, believing that evilness is our nature and yet it meets a human with a clean and just aura? You are an enigma to it, so perhaps it wanted to see who you are when in battle. Are you a cruel trainer in the heat of battle or does your aura stay pure? Those are the questions it sought."

"Lou..." the Riolu said as it shifted its gaze away from Jason and the old lady.

"Ah, hit the nail on the head didn't I?" She said with a chuckle.

What does Jason do?

@Goggy

One could feel the tension as both Pokemon were set on a collision course. The audience could not tear their eyes away from the spectacle, except for Vivian who could not dare to watch what was about to unfold. A flaming fist met the night cloaked leek, sparks of fire and darkness crackled as their attacks fought for supremacy. However, they as neither of them backed down and continued to push forward there was a blink or you missed it moment where they seemed to have pushed past each other while no one could tell if their attacks landed or not.

They both stood there in silence. A delayed splash of darkness cut along Atlas' chest, but the automaton stood there firmly. The Farfetch'd on the other hand fell to its knees before it fell face forward onto the ground. The crowd erupts in cheers for their new champion, jumping and shouting with glee.

In the midst of celebrating their victory, the Farfetch'd woke up and looked around searching for someone until its gaze fell upon Vivian. It walked over to the aspiring archaeologist with a very purposeful stride in its step. "Farfetch'd? Farfetch'd farfetch'd." It swung its leek about to gesture fighting as if it was asking if there would be fights where she was going.

It then looked at Atlas and nodded decisively. "Farfetch'd!"

Farfetch'd wants to join Vivian's team! Does she accept?
Also, Atlas is now level 6!

So, how does the dice roll for Steph's final encounter work out? Will her outside of the box thinking work?

Little sparks of flame and jets of water shot out from the smog with the expectation from her opponent and his Metagross that they were meant for him. Well, they were half right. Hot steam exploded in front of its face, causing it to close its eyes from the stinging pain. Should this have technically counted as a landing attack? Well, that was the least of its worries. As it opened its now teary eyes, an annoying seagull was raining jets of water from above and at its trainer behest it began to dodge around easily dodging the Water Guns though with the knowledge that they were being pinned down so the pinball could land its mark.

Even for an experienced trainer, this was too many things to juggle all at once especially with just one Pokemon fighting three at once. Not to mention that even though Steph was a rookie, she had a knack for battling so he wasn't battling little Joey with his 100% Rattata so it should have been no surprise when she found a blind spot. What neither Jean, his Metagross, or anyone in the crowd for that matter could have ever expected was that the Wimpodd was carrying Dusk and then propelled it straight towards the steel-type.

"Metagross, you gotta use Hammer Arm to knock it away!" Jean ordered out of panic and the Metagross was about to swing its big, meaty, metal arm down against the ground again, but an errand stream of water met Dusk's Ember attack causing another cloud of hot steam to hit its eyes once again. It just gave enough of an opening for Dusk for one loud Astonish, making such a startling noise that would cause one to flinch from surprise!

If anyone could have seen how much damage Dusk's Astonish actually did with the visual aid of a health bar, they would've needed an actual numerical value to show just how little damage the sparkly candle did. If it were an attack that actually needed physical contact with the Metagross, it would have made a tink noise as they bounced off its metal carapace.

The crowd stood there in stunned silence with no one really sure what to make of it. Then the silence was broken by laughter not from the crowd, but from her opponent standing opposite from her. Jean was laughing with his chest out, his hands on his hips, and his head thrown back to the sky. "Bahahahahaha! Man, I guess this is what I get for acting all high and mighty! After all these years I still have a lot to learn, huh? Well played kid, well played!"

Jean approached Steph with a big ol' grin on his face and held his hand out for a handshake. "Steph, right? Well, I think you deserve a reward after a battle like that! Name your price, within reason of course."

Well, what does Steph ask?

@Xaltwind

Was the sideways belly-flop really going to help her? No. Did it make her feel safer. Maybe? Then again, she had way worse issues at the moment. Green death was making its way towards her with murder in its heart.

Luckily for Evelyn, the Scyther was just moving towards her and was not using any of its arsenal, so when her Sentret used Quick Attack it moved for at least the moment faster than it. The brown blur threw itself at the mantis, pushing it back though it was plain to see that it didn't suffer all that much damage from the attack. It was much more sturdy than one would have expected something as fast as that could be. Still, if she could hurt it then she could beat it.

"Scyther!" It cried out in a rage. It dashed around the area quickly, using the trees and the foliage as cover to make it more difficult for Evelyn and her Pokemon to keep track of its whereabouts, if they even could in the first place. It then reappeared not behind Evelyn or her in front of her Sentret, but behind her beloved Joltik and viciously swung its blade-like arm down towards the little electric tick with a Fury Attack.

Meanwhile, the Spinnark that had helped Evelyn from losing her head just slid back into its skull-like shell with its two beady eyes staring through what would have been the mouth, watching intently.

What does Evelyn do?

One of the Mimikyu, the one that Amelia's sparkly ghostly stump jabbed in its not face, knocking it back to the ground. Its 'head' dropped down by its side, resembling a Pikachu with a broken neck, much to the Pikachu's horror. The other one Amelia essentially had to dive towards to try and grab it though it was just too fast for the small medium to try and catch it with her little dainty arms.

However, Valerian even though this was totally his fault, stepped up and threw out both of his Pokemon into the fray. Camellia the Petilil glowed with a light green light and grew an extra size as it used Growth, but while it did so one of the Mimikyu looked at and glowed with that same green aura, growing an extra size as well. It seemed like it had the ability to copy moves! When Camelia used Absorb, it shot red beams of energy at the Mimikyu that slipped Amelia's arms and pushed it back with the force of the attack and skid back. It's fake head dropped down to its side as well.

Aurelia Rose blasted the murderous Pokemon with a glittery gust of wind, a spread move, meaning that it could hit both the Mimikyu. The sugar, spice, and everything nice blast of pink wind hit both of them for neutral damage and it looked like they were ready to retaliate. One of the Mimikyu, the larger one, detached the wooden tail from its costume and lunged towards Aurelia Rose, swinging it down for a mighty Wood Hammer because for some reason it could know that at this level! Meanwhile, the other Mimikyu was less interested in Aurelia or Camellia and was more interested in the Phantump. It rushed towards the shiny stump head and then performed an Astonishing cry!

So, how do they react?

@CitrusArms

Would Regan's lie work? The Magnemite turned to look back at her as she called for her 'Kadabra,' none the wiser that she was pulling the wool over its one very big eye. So up and up it went up the apartment and uh, how good was Regan's cardio? This was not a small apartment complex; it was built to be as ostentatious and to offer great views of Grand Glory City so it was multiple stories tall. There was a reason why this building had elevator access.

So as Kaebe and the aspiring Pokemon ranger chased the Magnemite all the way up those flights of stairs, they were probably beginning to feel it because let's face it no matter how fit you are, stairs somehow are the Achilles heel to most living people. Today was a terrible day to have legs. Well, the Magnemite also seemed to be getting exhausted even though it had no need of legs. Perhaps electromagnetism had its own equivalent to leg day?

Anyway, they would reach the roof. The Magnemite had burst its way through the door though it looked very exhausted at this point. It's magnet appendages drooped by its side as it huffed and puffed for air. It would look at Kaebe and Regan with a tired side eye. "Magnemite?" Even without a shared language, she could tell it was saying 'are you kidding me?'

@GremlinAgain

Paralysis aside, it was not like Rift had suffered major damage. He was just a bit slower due to the electricity causing his muscles to stiffen. With a few more scratches and receiving a tackle from the loaf, Audrey would throw a Pokeball in an attempt to catch her first wild Pokemon. It bopped the little dog on the head and it was absorbed in a beam of red light before it plopped onto the ground.

It shook once...

It shook twice...!

It shook thrice!

Rift is currently half health and paralyzed.

Well, with that she caught the electric loaf. If she looked around she would notice that Archie was nowhere to be seen as he was off having his own adventure somewhere around Route 1.

What does she want to do?

So the young adventurers go deeper into this strange cave as they chase after the bizarre cries through the strange glowing mist without any more incidents luckily. They just continued to run towards the sounds of some poor sap screaming for his life while something kept shouting 'TUFF.'Eventually, they ran through the mouth of another tunnel and found themselves in an open space in the cave though it was quite odd, a running theme for their day. The rock that made up the space was eerily smooth and even as if it were cut by hand.

However, perhaps they weren't focused on it because there were two puffballs jumping around some poor kid dressed in a punk memorabilia who was splayed out on the floor with a look of terror upon his face. The kid looked at Nils and Clarissa and held out his hand towards them in desperation. "Hey, I don't know who you guys are or why you're here, but you gotta help me! I- YEEP!" He pulled his hand back when one of the puff balls breathed out a wispy orb of fire.

It was certainly strange. These things looked like Igglybuff, but also not really? For starters, their round bodies were a bright orange, not pink, and instead of a puffy tuft of hair on the top they had various feathers colored red and yellow tied up with dark turquoise beads to resemble flickering embers. Their eyes, which were normally red were also that same shade of turquoise. The only thing that resembled the typical Igglybuff was the trademark swirl on its forehead.

Nils and Clarissa's Rotom Phones hovered in front of them and read the following entry:

Pokedex Entry- Igglybuff, the Ember Pokemon. Igglybuff are filled with highly flammable gas that turns into a 1800 F flame when ignited, leaving their foes blackened. Their diet consists of rocks that are converted into flammable gas and typically favor Roggenrola as their prey.

Well, whatever they were they enjoyed tormenting the poor guy.

What did they do?
Sorry, I won't be able to get this up tonight. Today was a long day. I'm almost done so I'll hopefully be able to get it up by tomorrow.
Working on posts!

Edit: With any luck it'll be up by tomorrow.

Basil swallowed a lump in his throat as he watched the Espurr charge up a psychic beam of death. "Glory, Detect." He ordered with as much resolution he could muster. His Hawlucha remained in its firm stance, its orange eyes glowed with a blue hue and sharply focused as it awaited for the moment to dodge. It was his one get out of jail free card for the first attack.

It was plain to see that the Espurr wasn't used to the incredible amount of power it wielded. Just drawing that much strength caused it much strain. Basil knew that this Espurr was just like Stella; it was unnaturally powerful from experimentation that must have been cruel if Stella decided that running was the only option. It was cruel and in reality, Basil wanted little to do with battling him if it was at the expense of a Pokemon forced to become a weapon. It was a perversion of a Pokemon Battle, where a trainer and Pokemon train and battle united, not pointing a Pokemon at someone as if to have a finger on a trigger.

Basil's gaze was focused not on the Espurr, but at its Pokeball being held by its trainer. He took a deep breath. His heart was pounding in his ears and he felt everyone's gaze focused on the battle. In every other circumstance what he was going to do would have been considered sacrilege as a trainer. Would he be able to live with himself? Would he be able to deal with the aftermath with all of these eyes about to witness what he was about to do?

To hell with it.

The beam ripped towards Glory, but he was ready. The Hawlucha was able to foresee the attack and dodged the attack before it could send him to kingdom come. Basil's gaze sharpened. This was the moment! No matter how strong that Espurr was, it couldn't handle its own strength just yet! Surely it had to take a moment to recover. "Use Aerial Ace on its Pokeball as hard as you can!"

The Hawlucha dashed as quickly as it could towards the trainer, and well, Aerial Ace can't miss.

However, Basil was not expecting to break it. They were designed for Pokemon, creatures that were famous for being rowdy. No he just needed to get it away from him.

If it worked Basil would shout, "Hey Espurr, that jerk hurt you and a lot of other Pokemon right?! Then seize your freedom and fight back!"
