This is a last call for these people, I know some who have already left, so you won't see them here, but this is a last call. The latter are people I know who are actually currently playing.
Vega had been wandering around town soon as everyone left to do their preparations. He had none to speak of, everything he needed, he stole, despite his loud appearance and mannerisms, his ability to steal was quite good, though he since gaining his magic had also taken to mugging people, though he was picky. He knew what kind of marks were easier or safer, but now that he had to head a team, perhaps such methods were problematic... Guess he just has to make sure they don't see him.
Well for now he made a round trip and eventually ended up back at the square. He still had that bag of varied smoke bombs, maybe he can use them sometime on the mission? Hmmmm, though a bit of snooping around tells him that some Harpies were possibly going to show on these missions too, interesting, maybe if he sees one he can throw a wrench or two at them. That'd be fun, he more than welcomes anything to make this entire and dull and in his opinion, pointless gauntlet more interesting. S Rank mission should be no big deal for him, yet he has to take some others along with him. Sounded like a lot of trouble in his opinion.
The air shifted ever so subtly as a black armour with red highlights began to take form... Or rather, it seemed as if the air peeled away to reveal this dark figure. His movement looking as if he was mid-way through stopping from a sprint as he showed up to the battlefield. Muramasa unlike his brother Masamune was constantly deployed, ready to enter a battlefield and cut a threat in the bud, so that Masamune would not need to be deployed, being the popular model he was he for now was one of Hyperion's public symbols.
"So I will be working with you today", he mused. He looked down for a moment, his eyes surged for a moment as he began to run over the data he had access to,
"Hmmm... According to reports, it appears we will be few in number today... Analyzing tactics... Guerilla tactics preferred, low presence on battlefield expected, use to advantage... General strategy confirmed...", he rose his head back to normal posture once more. These types of tactics were to his preference... A perfect first high-priority deployment. Previously he had only been taking small assignments as he had been given, likely to test and forge his skills and abilities, it was time to put them to the test.
Rui was the first to light his, and as he handed the lighter around, one by one everyone was lighting theirs too, someone even lit 3 at once to create what they called a 'super-sparkler'. The heat from the ignited rod would warm the metal they were holding as they watched these small fireworks in their hands. Kotori seemed a bit down, she was worried for her fellow club members,
"I'm sure they'll be fine, here", he handed Kotori yet another sparkler as her current one went out.
"We're all here to have fun, wouldn't do to be gloomy now", he reassured. As they idly burned away a few more between all of them, Shizuka and Matthew emerged up the steps from the beach. So it looks like they were just taking a walk along the shoreline. Regardless they were back just in time.
"Welcome back you two, here there's still plenty of these left", he said, handing them a bunch of the sparklers. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, for some they probably haven't lit these kinds of small novelty fireworks since they were a child, it was more or less something people didn't do around their age anymore. Still, even if they were childish, there was nothing wrong with enjoying oneself.
The rest of the night was spent in rest, from dozing off in the train home to getting home to sleep, to get ready for another day of the Summer Break... There was a lot to do... Both in and out of the Mirror World... Discovering this new facet, Seto, was an alarming discovery, and according to Ayano, whose scanning reaches far and wide, there was a lot to get through. So far it seems they were in the plains, according to the map she had drawn up, next up was the valleys.
Name: Muramasa Title/Epiphet: "The Demon Blade" Allegiance/Faction: Machina of Man Race: Android Age: Construction completed as of 5 years ago Gender: Male
Appearance:
Backstory: The Muramasa is one of the first of his line, part of a project called "The Swords of Man". Unlike the many other machines that are produced, this line of androids was designed to be an elite set, hardy, powerful warriors that could be deployed as an ace up the sleeve. With the idea of scarcity being nothing more than a fantasy, the level of strength they can pack into a single android was merely a matter of how long it took to forge them from the steel of the machina.
These "swords" were forged and named as well as designed after famous swords in human history, and due to their slick and appealing design, are also a popular set of poster androids in human media. Due to that relateable aspect has in the recent months made them popular among the human populace. Currently there are five of them, two are in full combat deployment, the first two to be completed, Muramasa the infiltrator assassin spec, and Masamune, the battlefield ace, the other two are Excalibur the master commander spec, and Balmung, the titanslayer spec, with the fifth one Durandal, the ultimate shield spec, on the way.
Though their functions vary and they can with the completed set of currently a total 7 planned, meaning 2 more after Durandal are on the way, they take a rather long time to complete, so keeping them from being destroyed is in their best interests. They are not nearly as dispensible as other androids, but should one be destroyed, they can't be expected to be battle ready again for at least a few months later, just one to two depending on how many of their parts can be salvaged.
Specifications:
Kojiro Core - This core is specified for high output, it at a default state has performance well beyond even the strongest androids at their top output, as far as standard production androids go at least. This core has become the basis for cores that would follow later, tweaking with their strengths and weaknesses. The Kojiro Core though was made with power and speed in mind, pushing the boundaries, as well as creating a means to push it, as such the Kojiro Core gives Muramasa the capability to multiply his combat performance 10-20 fold for short bursts, letting him unleash incredible feats of strength and speed, sometimes fast enough to disappear. Due to this, it's maximum output is 300% as opposed to just 150% for other androids of his line, giving him access to deadly bursts of strength and speed. Output Indicators - 10% Idle, low combat potential. - 30% Engaged, average combat potential. - 75% Exertion, higher combat potential. - 100% Pushed, maximum consistent high performance. - 300% Zantougeki, either using Overdrive, or executed a Zantougeki technique.
Kojiro Nanomachines - The Kojiro Core constantly puts out nanomachines that repair damage done over time, this allows Muramasa to retreat and hide somewhere on the battlefield to repair himself without needing to return to base.
Zantougeki Ougi - "Decapitating Sword Strike Arts", as described by any observation when used, it's like watching an image be slashed to bits by red lines in an instant. This is a style that makes use of the Kojiro Core's speed and power overload to execute high speed consecutive strikes. He can do this in small bursts to pursue enemies, allowing him to maintain pressure just from pure speed. He's developed this into a proper style with it's own sword techniques, applying the core in many different ways.
Evolving AI - The AI put into most androids are incredibly advanced, but they are usually limited by their make at the time, though in today's society, upgrades come easily, safely, and for virtually no risk. For the same reasons, they went the extra mile with the Swords of Man androids. Their AI is not only compatible to updates, but is able to evolve on it's own, is constantly creating new code and overwriting old code as it learns and adapts new strategies and techniques, cutting down fluff in the code and create an efficient and powerful warrior. It has been noted that quirks have been observed, almost like a personality. As some have expressed, older models in their interactions are more 'human', all the way down to having unique quirks in their behavior like a human would.
Black Scabbard "Hagane" - The Swords of Man have a unique type of frame dubbed "scabbards", as part of their theme, but the way they function is quite accurate. All of them have the ability and access to an Overdrive of sorts, where flaps in the armor open up to signify it's activation, unleashing their true power and removing limiters, but also the armors themselves have a unique function of their own. The Black Scabbard, Hagane's main function is stealth, and is expected to rarely if ever use it's Overdrive function. Hagane's plating has the ability to use active camouflage, as long as his Kojiro Core is kept below 30% capacity, as the high energy output will overpower the camouflage.
Hagane Overdrive "Demon Blade" - The Hagane's Overdrive is very simple, it allows the Kojiro Core to constantly put out it's maximum capacity, rather than using it in small bursts, meaning this form allows Muramasa to fight at 10-20x combat capacity constantly. As stated, the Hagane scabbard was made with the intention that it's Overdrive would not be ever used as it's main function, meaning the "Demon Blade" form only lasts maybe twenty seconds at most if he pushes it, but the amount of damage he can do in that time with that speed and power can be devastating. Once it's used up, the Kojiro Core's capacity will be reduced to around 10%, 1/3 his average output. He can push it to 40% given he manages to execute the Bloodthirst Protocol on something, giving him 10% back per target.
Bloodthirst Protocol - By extracting cores or sources of power from enemies, he can convert it's energy to restore his own. Though it will not repair him, it will repair or restore his core, as well as aggravate his nanomachines, causing them to repair him at an accelerated rate for a short time.
Resistances & Immunities: The standard for androids, he has no particular special weaknesses to speak of.
Weaknesses: In the grand scheme of things, he is merely a hyper-advanced android, his resistances and immunities are no different to his mechanical kin. Furthermore compared to others of his line of androids, he is of a lighter frame, meaning he's not as hardy as he may seem.
Weapons & Equipment:
"Akakurogane" - The dark mulled steel blade that somehow shines a red glow, a uniquely forged metal blade that blends the deadly lasers Machina is known for into an alloy to make this unearthly weapon. As such the weapon has both insane cutting power as well as durability.
Crimson Armory Unit - An inbuilt unit within his frame that allows him to generate various weapons and tools from hardlight, allowing him to create throwing weapons and small tools for combat and otherwise.
Overloader - When coming into contact with machinery, he has the ability to link with it and hack it, unique to him however is the ability to rapidly overload systems just by contact by plunging excess energy from his Kojiro core into the target. He can jumpstart unpowered machines this way too, and even revive fallen machina comrades, given that all they need is some power.

The text in moments became a blur as a countless number of functions flashed by, before the darkness would lift. Bit by bit, he began to be able to move, and the first thing he saw was a charging angel. The eyes of this jet black android flared with red, shortly followed by select pieces of his armor and nodes on his body glowing red, he moved instantly, drawing the blade on his back. It was natural to do this, cutting down the angel before him, then cutting down yet more as they came. The frequency increased as demons had joined the fray, beast-like and undead types, immediately cut down.
Kojiro Core compatability confirmed >>>>>>> 100% compatability Current output: 25%
The red lights on the black android flared once more as he suddenly increased in speed, darting through a group of demons, leaving behind a series of red arches, signifying each cut he has inflicted in that instant moment. He turns and continues, his systems reaching a point of continuous function, until he stopped completely. The images around him changed.

"Bootup trial, success. You, are Muramasa, an android of the Machina of Man, and the first of your line, the 'Swords of Man', for the glory of Eos, the Hyperion, and humanity, you were created to combat the forces of hell and heaven", the black android looked down at himself, this was one hell of a way to be born, right in the middle of a combat simulation.
"Confusion detected in thought matrix... Retrieving files... A combat simulation was chosen for the bootup trial. Your purpose was combat, as such, combat readiness was of utmost priority. Should that have failed, your awakening would have been delayed. Be thankful for the resounding success", the black android, Muramasa he was called, looked to himself once more... 'Muramasa', was to be his name then?
"You will be referred to as Muramasa for simplicity. For reference, your full build name is Muramasa v.100234.2.5. Welcome to the Machina of Man, 'Muramasa', please enter the next room to await your directives", as the conversation went on, Muramasa's mind, so to speak, was filling with information... This was his link to the Machina? Their database, and combat tactics, and so on. Before that though, he seems to have already been installed with incredibly advanced infiltration techniques, strategies, as well as various known weak points in enemies identified by the Machina of Man, this even included bounties and fugitives. Suppose he should peruse these files in his spare time.
Yeah there was kind of nothing to react to. No one was being directly referred to. If I were to compare, it was like watching a cutscene only to be thrown into... Nothing really. The enemy hasn't reached us yet that a fight would occur, nor is there anything anyone needs to say or do. Kind of need to avoid that.
Hade would wander the hall for awhile, after wandering out of his way for his own way around he got lost, though now unable to find his way back, found himself completely lost. The receptionist was in the main hall, but of course, he could not find his way there. As he read his book out loud, he got strange stares from passing young mages, and even just down the hallway it seems some people even seemed to just take a detour to avoid what appeared to be a raving madman, until he was soon approached by a woman robed in white.
"If that's your own research you'd best keep it down and to yourself... Hm?", she looked at the book in his hands. She took some aggressive steps towards Hade before snatching it out of his hands, quickly perusing it...
"Where did you get this book...?", she asked. She seems to have recognized it.
Aria would find herself in the Spectrum Hall, open it was to visitors, the places further in not so much, though there was public access to their exclusive libraries on magic. The halls were resplendent in white with banners of various colours signifying the many coloured mages that were sanctioned by the council with two gigantic black and white banners at the very end. It was most certainly an impressive sight to behold, though there didn't seem to be anything related to summoning on the offset, still, summoning was an art well-known by all mages, it was likely their libraries still held information on this topic, all she needs to do is ask for permission to peruse their library. There was a reception in front, and various hallways leading to god knows where. As she passed she could see someone who seemed to be reciting from a book before being what she can only think is being reprimanded by a woman in white, a white mage likely. She could take a small detour, or continue on her own purpose.
The young, frail mage, would find that what she was looking for was quite simple to find, save for rice, which she needed to track down to a speciality store. The marketplace was always bustling, though there seemed to be a lot of guards on patrol... Well, understandable. If she was any bit aware of current events, there was a terrorist rebel group of sorts... Although speak of the devil. Behind a wall of people she heard screaming, and then they began to disperse in fear, people yelling it was the "the Swords", someone had yelled and identified the attacker by name, "Gibril". She was a bounty, though not that Naisha would know.
Gibril would soon become visible as enough people had run off, behind her were some more men too, about four of them. They appeared to be attacking the marketplace, though before demands could be made they were waylaid by guards, whom Gibril alone managed to take down herself. She seemed a skilled swordsman, though her men were clearly a little untrained... Suppose this is normal in a rebellion group. Still, the way they fought was not frantic. That was a little suspicious, combined with there being nothing to gain by attacking the marketplace...
Naisha could intervene... Or she can get along her way. No one would blame her for being in a wheelchair and not getting away in time, but neither would they expect someone wheelchair-bound to be able to do any sort of damage or be any sort of threat. What to do...
