Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

@1Charak2: She's still missing almost her entire leg below the knee, and it's important to her character that she is. ^^; She kind of needs prosthetic legs.

Also the picture you're talking about was posted earlier to show her legs end pretty high up. ... Also if you look at how her legs are designed, there's no room for feet or lower leg in them.

... Also prosthetics were literally being bought in my last post, which is part of the process of making sure Melt's original prosthetics don't kill people. ^^;
"Awww," Hina visibly sagged, arms hanging beneath her as she did, "We've gotta get home pretty soon too..."

For whatever reason, it seemed as if she had really wanted to meet Himeko. Chise simply bobbed her head slightly.

"Thank you, onee-san," said the black-haired little girl, "If she'll be back soon, we can just wait. Right Hina-chan?"

For a few moments, the brunette girl was silent. Then she suddenly brightened, nodding rapidly as she did.

"Yeah! That's true! We do have a little bit of time..." she trailed off for a moment, looking thoughtful, before flashing a grin to the older girls, "Besides, as long as there's an onee-san around here I don't think I'll make Hisa-nee worry too much!"

Notably, Hina was only looking at Nico when she mentioned 'an onee-san'.

"I don't think your older sister is going to be that worried... it's not that late. You talk about her an awful lot."

"Because Hisa-nee is the best!"

Chise sighed before turning her attention to the two older girls.

"I'm Fujikawa Chise," she introduced herself, "And this is-"

"Minami Hina!" declared the other girl, cheerfully, waving, "Do you go to the same school as us!?"

She pointed excitedly at Hanako.

"There's no need for me to be friends with junk," replied Kagami, with a shrug, "I am not one to spend time with unnecessary things."

The centipede shade suddenly convulsed, and lashed out blindly. Another barrage of lasers fell onto its body, from Kagami's dozens of flashing mirrors. This time, the creature lay still, smoking. Moments later, its grotesque, damaged body began to dissipate, black mist floating into the air as it came apart. The shade had been slaughtered, though its death didn't rule out the possibility of other shades forming in the area, it was most certainly destroyed.

"However..." Kagami's thin smile grew wider, "You are right on one topic. You are indeed a fellow magical girl, and that means you are a potential opponent. I shall allow you the opportunity to lay down your Hex Orb and walk away. The outcome of our battle is inevitable anyway."

@LukasVolkov: Okay so...

To begin with, you made a Saber and barely mentioned her skill with a sword. Which, notably, was extremely high: She was a duelist who most notably fought off multiple men in one of her most famous duels.

You inexplicably give her the ability to breath fire rather then give her any kind of sword skill or anything of that nature as a Noble Phantasm. You don't even reference the famous incident where she set a fire in a church to run off with one of her female lovers who had been forced to become a nun, which seems like a natural inspiration for a Noble Phantasm.

Her skills are barely related to her story aside from "was very well-known". The Duelist Focus skill actually contradicts one of her most notable fencing exploits.

PKMN already covered the problem with the mind control skill.

I'm sorry if this comes across as sort of harsh, but La Maupin is a really interesting historical figure and you've not really done a good job converting her into a Servant or in making a Saber-class Servant in general.

The current NPs need to be scrapped. She should really have some sort of sword skill, something like some of the Japanese Servants have, mentioned there. Perhaps something related to combining fencing and performance. And an NP related to the convent burning seems like a natural choice given what a notable part of her life it was. The Skills need a complete rewrite.
Melt is effectively a quadruple amputee and Passionlip can't perceive her own body as abnormal.

The Sakura Five have problems.
It's okay, you replied now. ^^; I'll get something up on the weekend.
Nanako is struggling with trying to build a relationship with her new Servant and also keeping her legs from killing people.
Kobayashi Seria

It looked like the boy was satisfied with the apology, at least. And that, thankfully, a fight hadn't started. She was aware that Mordred hadn't seemed to intend to actually fight, given how her sword worked in relation to one of her other Noble Phantasms. But pulling out a sword in a crowded convenience store was still worrying, to say the least.

Sir Lancelot and Sir Mordred... her Servant, and the Servant of-actually, who was Lancelot's Master? It didn't look like they were around... Well, it wasn't uncommon for a Servant to go out on their own, anyway. What the two Knights of the Round Table discussed was interesting, to say the least. It was impossible not to be aware that Arthur Pendragon had been summoned, and that she was in fact a woman. Were further Knights going to be summoned, as if her appearance was a catalyst for them? She couldn't help but wonder if that was why she had been able to summon Mordred, given that she possessed no catalyst of her own...

Seria was dragged out of her thoughts when Mordred's hand suddenly came to rest on her shoulder. Reddening immediately, she tried to pull away.

"I-I'm not some e-easily charmed m-maiden!" she stammered, embarrassed at the assertion. Besides, Lancelot... well... well, neither of them needed to know about that anyway. "I'm a p-proud magus!"

Mihama Nanako

While it was obvious that Meltryllis was upset, there was nothing else that could be done. It was for the safety of the people of Fusang and for the Alter Ego's own benefit that they got her replacement prosthetics that were less likely to kill people. Nanako hoped that it wasn't going to be something that Meltryllis would hold against her, even if it seemed likely she would. She was already thinking of some way to try and make it up to her, but to be honest that would require getting to know her Servant better, to learn just what it was that Meltryllis enjoyed.

... That wasn't being kind of scary and pointing her people-melting knee spikes at Nanako's face.

Nanako wasn't keen on repeating that experience any time soon.

In order to avoid the crowds, Nanako took a way through the back alleys, a shortcut to the clinic she'd learned simply from living in Fusang. It wasn't difficult to memorize. Soon enough, they'd arrived.

As much as Nanako was trying to make the experience... well... at least not take very long, there was nothing that could really be done about that. Meltryllis was seething the entire time, especially once it became clear that the new prosthetic legs would be more proportional to her body size to ensure that they fit properly. The procedure also... wasn't exactly cheap. But even if she was angry and didn't like this one bit, it was still something that would ultimately benefit her Servant, and so Nanako paid for it without much hesitation.

To be honest, Melt seemed to be so irritated that Nanako wasn't even sure if apologizing to her again was a good idea. Rather, maybe it was best to simply move on as quickly as they could. When they left the clinic, there was a few different directions they could go in.

"... So... the shopping district is that way," she said, indicating to the north, "It's also linked to the entertainment district. Er... is there anywhere you'd like to see first?"

Mihama Nanako

There was at least one thing there that Nanako could agree with. And that was that it had been a weird fluke of luck. How had she summoned someone so clearly from outside of human history? Someone who couldn't possibly have existed within the human order? There was definitely no Meltryllis lurking in the past, even without the way she had spoken about herself. She was someone who just had to be foreign to this entire timeline.

But wasn't that kind of lucky, as well?

Aside from that... Meltryllis claimed to be a monster made to oppose humanity, whose entire existence was indeed the opposition of humanity. It didn't seem like she was lying about this being the reason she came to be(and that alone was a lot to take in) but at the same time...

A Master could understand certain things about their Servant just by summoning them, and one of them was skills. One of those skills was Independent Action at A-rank. If Meltryllis was as terrible as she said, why did she even bother listening to Nanako? Wouldn't a monster just kill her and then make a new contract with someone else who was more cooperative? She was hardly the only person without a Servant in the area.

At least... that's how it felt. That's what she hoped. Nanako wanted to have a good relationship with her Servant, and no matter what Melt said that didn't include treating her as a monster in the brunette girl's mind.

Nanako pressed the button to take them to the bottom floor.

Even though this was a matter of life and death for the people who could potentially bump into Meltryllis, and certainly she didn't want anyone to get hurt or worst, Nanako could sense how upset this outcome had made her Servant. It wasn't difficult, just hearing the tone of her voice change was enough. It was clear her legs were part of the core of her identity... but they were also exceptionally dangerous. No wonder just being close to them felt kind of scary.

"I'm sorry, I can tell you're not happy," she said, finally, as they approached the bottom floor, "But it's the only way I think I'd ever be allowed to take you around the city. Even if you're careful. The clinic isn't too far away, so at least it won't be a long detour..."

A few of Nanako's neighbors were in the lobby. When they went to wave to her, they fairly quickly noticed she was being accompanied by what could only be a Servant, and a rather unusual one at that. They were mostly rendered speechless.

@PKMNB0Y
@DocRock: Innocent Monster is a rare case of misconceptions or beliefs influencing a person who exists independently of them. Someone like the Gorgons, born from humanity's wishes and thoughts, most likely wouldn't have it.
@LukasVolkov: Okay...

So to begin with Servants are almost always summoned in a very human state. In fact, in any normal case they have to be at least somewhat human(outliers in FGO are exceptions caused by weird circumstances). You can't summon a fairy. If you could, they'd need to be something along the lines of the Gorgon Sisters, where they were born from humanity in spite of technically being divine, therefore are "human gods" so to speak.

I honestly don't think Queen Mab is an inherently poor idea, but she'd end up being something more humanlike just by dint of a) being something manifested from human consciousness and b)being summoned as a Servant.

She could still have alien morals(I'm not opposed to someone who just loves to screw with people and doesn't get why it's wrong running around as long as they're not like, lolrandumbmurder or something) but she'd ultimately look more human and have a more human-like nature to her just by dint of actually being something that can be summoned.

If she is created by humanity "metaphysical body" is completely unnecessary as the Gorgons don't have it.
