Realizing that the aging Batman can't keep up with all of Gotham, Damian Wayne has devised his own Batsuit and taken to patrolling the opposite ends of the city from Bruce. Stumbling across a grisly murder, Damian is put on the trail of a new player in town and unwittingly in the path of the Joker.

Having proven himself as an adult, Damian is visited by his mother, Talia al Ghul, who wishes her son to accompany her to Nanda Parbat. Unknown to Damian, his grandfather, the Demon's Head, Ra's al Ghul wishes to have Damian replace him as head of the League of Shadows. The idea of an army at his disposal is far too tempting for Damian to pass up and he gives into his pride and travels across the globe.

N O T E S:

◼   BRUCE WAYNE // THE BATMAN: Damian's biological father, although unwilling genetic donor. Bruce Wayne, the Batman of Gotham was unaware of Damian's existence until Talia dropped their son on his doorstep at the age of eight. Brash, arrogant and completely overconfident, Damian immediately set his sights on Tim Drake's mantle as Robin. Training the boy, Bruce has endured a long ten years with his son, and while it was off to a rocky start, the two have developed a deep and meaningful relationship of mutual admiration and respect. 

◼   ALFRED PENNYWORTH:The true protector of Wayne Manor and Damian's surrogate grandfather. Although Damian and Pennyworth have never seen eye to eye, the two developed a begrudging respect for one another over Damian's ten years of living at the Manor. While Damian, like his father, refuses to acknowledge Alfred's age and failing facilities, the sight of his most caring guardian slowly succumbing to death's cold embrace terrifies Damian more than he's willing to admit. 

◼   GOLIATH: A legendary dragon bat, Goliath was discovered by Damian during one of his last trials with the League of Shadows. Having killed both parents, Damian was filled with regret and upon stumbling upon the infant dragon bat, took the creature in as his own. Raising it, Damian learned to ride upon the creature and bonded with it. Upon being sent to Gotham to live under his father's metaphorical wings, Damian released Goliath into the wild but the dragon bat remained fiercely loyal to the young boy. Always within earshot, Damian rides Goliath in the same manner that the other Robins utilize a motorcycle. His closest ally, Goliath provides Damian assistance not only in transportation but also in battle.  

◼   TITUS: A present from his father upon first arriving at Wayne Manor, Titus is a Great-Dane mix who was gifted to Damian in an effort to bond. Fiercely loyal, the jet black dog rarely leaves Damian's side on the Manor's grounds and Damian tends to keep his closest friend nearby whenever possible.

◼   DOCTOR LESLIE THOMPKINS: A longtime ally of the Batman, Leslie has been operating nearly as long as Bruce himself. Running a public, not for profit clinic out of Crime Alley, Leslie has saved Bruce's life on numerous occasions as well as acting as one of the few confidants who are aware of the true identity of the Dark Knight. She and Bruce have always butted heads over his choice to involve the 'Robins' in his crusade and she especially shows disdain towards Damian due to his hotheaded and often violent methods. 

◼   STEPHANIE BROWN // THE SPOILER (FORMERLY): Stephanie Brown is the daughter of the former villain known as the Calculator. Adopting the guise of the Spoiler, Stephanie aided Batman and then Robin, Timothy Drake in the apprehension of her father. Working alongside the dynamic duo several times after that, Stephanie found herself chasing after Timothy Drake and eventually the two began a relationship. This relationship was terminated however when Stephanie was put in harm's way. Nearly killed, Stephanie was forbidden from ever wearing a costume again as Batman outed her to her own mother to keep her safe. In an act of silent rebellion, Stephanie now aides Dr. Leslie Thompkins, the same doctor who both saved her life and who operates a clinic at the heart of Crime Alley.

◼   ???: A young girl from Park Row who found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rescued by Damian, the son of the Bat takes an interest in the girl and begins to train her.

◼   RA'S AL GHUL // THE DEMON'S HEAD: Damian's biological grandfather. Ra's Al Ghul is the Demon's Head of the League of Shadows and although he has spent many years trying to convince Batman, the Detective to take his place as Ra's rightful heir, he sees now the potential in his own grandson to far exceed the Detective.

◼   TALIA AL GHUL: Lover to the Batman and mother of Damian Wayne. Talia Al Ghul seduced and drugged Bruce Wayne nearly nineteen years ago. Extracting his DNA in the most enjoyable way possible, Talia had Damian genetically altered in order to ensure the best genes from both parents. Now, seeing the labour of her work ready to inherit both the Demon's Head and the Cowl of the Bat, Talia has begun to put the pieces of Damian's final test into play.

◼   ???: A mysterious new player in Gotham, little is known about this unsub outside of his modus operandi. Specifically targetting young woman, he seems to operate on them, mutating the skin and face until they appear almost doll-like. No surviving victims have been found yet. 
 
◼   ???: Lurking in the shadows behind the new player is a familiar face to both Batman and Damian. Craving perfection, he has unleashed his pupil upon Gotham, waiting for his chance to step in and steal the show.

◼   THE JOKER: The archnemesis of the Batman, the Clown Prince of Crime had been missing for several years but recent crimes have been linked to his familiar modus operandi. Believing himself ready to assume the mantle of the Bat, Damian has made it his personal vendetta to take the Joker down despite warnings from allies not to interfere in the Joker's dance with the Bat.

The idea behind this proposal is hinged heavily on the supernatural and my love of supernatural procedurals such as Grimm and Angel. To this end, I've put together Angel, as based on the character from the Buffyverse and Raven, heavily based on both her animated and comic counterparts. Together, the pair will come together to fight back against the supernatural in Los Angeles, the City of Angels. Drawn to L.A. by a seed of her father Trigon, Raven arrives in town to investigate, with her investigation put her on a collision course with Angel and the two eventually agree to work together. With the threat of Trigon manifesting in L.A. convincing Raven to stay put for the time being, the two fight back against the supernatural.

My plot arcs will have room for other supernatural characters from across Absolute's Universe to show up. Team-ups with Mobius, Etrigan, Zatanna, and Sabrina would work perfectly. In terms of the characters, Angel will have a past which involves Buffy, but it will only be in passing reference unless that character herself was actually applied for. Otherwise, this is an Angel who is looking to redeem himself for his time as Angelus and using his abilities and newfound soul to operate as a private investigator in L.A. while keeping the forces of evil at bay. Raven on the other hand, is slightly older than she's been depicted in most other media, possibly with a past with the Titans pending discussion. She's on a mission to find herself and has been traveling the country to proactively destroy any sources of her father's influence.

One of Raven's brothers has come to Los Angeles, his killing spree garning the attention of Angel. Hunting the spree killer, Raven encounters the vampire with a soul as an alliance begins to take shape.

C H A P T E R   T W OHEAT OF THE NIGHT

An arsonist is targeting a slum neighborhood only one landlord doesn't believe it is a coincidence after the visit of a developer. Contacting Angel and Raven, the pair are asked to investigate and it becomes very evident they aren't dealing with a run of the mill arsonist.

I've always wanted to play Thor, and while I've never quite figured out how to approach him, Thor is a very versatile character. Immortal and capable of going toe to toe with figures like Superman, Thor can dabble in both Earth and the Cosmic playgrounds. 

Some potential ideas have included Thor fighting alongside Wonder Woman during either of the World Wars, the ideas of an Ares and Loki team up causing the two heroes to join forces is incredibly enticing. Even Circe and Enchantress or Circe and Loki would be a writer's wet dream. Thor can also ally himself with characters such as the Guardians of the Galaxy or even a Green Lantern.

C H A P T E R   O N EOKLAHOMA

Banished from Asgard due to his arrogance and general lack of humility, Thor is sent to earth in the form of an infant to grow up among humanity and learn the lessons of mortality. Given the name Donald Blake, Thor finds himself in the foster system before being fostered by Erik Selvig and his wife, Darcy. The story will follow the adventures of Donald as he goes on a path of discovery all the while being tested by both his father Odin and adoptive brother Loki who will stop at nothing to prevent Thor from returning to Asgard.

Space cop stories, with a little more focus on the “cop” side of things. The Green Lantern Corps operates in an intergalactic jurisdiction, as dictated by its own laws. Lanterns don’t enforce the laws of one planet, but rather, laws that apply to the entire universe as an intergalactic melting pot of society. A murder in neutral space is Hal’s business, as is the killing of an ice hauler, or an interplanetary weapons smuggling ring – to name a few. While elements of the cosmic epic that’s usually associated with the GLC will remain a part of Hal’s story, I want to aim for a “galactic street level” feel, where Hal and co. deal with crime and other threats to the universe with a more distinct cop-like approach.

This Hal is different from the one in mainstream continuity due to one big difference: Alan Scott preceded him, and was the one to pass on his ring before dying. Partnered up with Abin Sur, this would eventually lead to him trying to live up to two legacies: that of the first human Lantern, and that of his mentor and friend. This changes a few things in the Corps’ history during the ten years that Hal’s been active, most of which have been briefly detailed in the Notes section. Other than that, it’s the same ol’ Hal. A bit more of a cop, sure – but it’s him.

ALLIES, FRIENDS AND FAMILY

The Jordan Family – With Martin and Jessica Jordan both no longer with us, only their children and their children’s children remain. Jack Jordan, their eldest child, works as a councilman in Coast City’s civic centre; his mother’s son even after her death, he still holds resentment for what he believes Hal’s desertion to the Air Force did to her health. James, their youngest son, is an I.T. consultant who has a beautiful wife, Susan Jordan (née Williams), and three amazing kids – Howard, Jane and Arthur. As close with Hal as two brothers can be, Jim is well aware of his identity as Green Lantern, as is the rest of his family, and often serves as a sponge for Hal’s frustrations with the job – absorbing them all without complaint.  

Carol Ferris – Hal’s (on and off) girlfriend of many years, Carol’s had to put up with much of the man’s crap, and has learned through harsh experience that loving a Green Lantern is no easy thing. But time has only served to strengthen their bond, and through everything they remain together, despite the long absences Hal’s duties often call for. Carol spends her days running Ferris Air and its two branches, Ferris Aircraft and Ferris Airlines, while also taking a company jet out for a spin every once in a while.

Tom Kalmaku – Hal’s closest friend at Ferris Air besides Carol, Tom was the first to know of his identity as Green Lantern. Formerly a mechanic, he now works in an administrative position at Ferris, helping Carol manage the chaos that’s running a multi-billion dollar airline and aircraft manufacturer.

Oliver Queen // Green Arrow – The Emerald Archer of Star City, Ollie and Hal go way back. Best friends until the end, they’ve got each other’s backs. WILL ACCOMMODATE PLAYER’S NEEDS AS SPECIFIED

Barry Allen // The Flash – Hal and the Scarlet Speedster have become good friends over the years. One third of the Hard-Travelling Trinity. WILL ACCOMMODATE PLAYER’S NEEDS AS SPECIFIED

Peter Quill // Star-Lord – The leader of a ragtag group of outlaws – and occasional heroes – Quill’s been an unlikely source of help in the past, often acting as Hal’s informant on intergalactic organised crime. WILL ACCOMMODATE PLAYER’S NEEDS AS SPECIFIED

The Blue Lantern Corps – Although the Guardians devoted themselves to an emotionless, calculative existence, not all them were content with that life. Ganthet and Sayd saw value in emotion, and through the brief darkness that the GLC was plunged into by the Sinestro Corps’ rise, they found hope. Harnessing its blue light, they left the Green Lanterns in order to found the Blue Lantern Corps – the peacekeeping force of the universe. Its first Lantern, Saint Walker, is also its highest ranking one.

The Nova Corps – The Green Lantern Corps’ “younger, smaller cousin”, the Nova Corps was the planet Xandar’s military and exploration division before expanding its reach to the entirety of the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies. Powered by the Xandarian Worldmind, they work to protect their jurisdiction much in the same way as the as the GLC, sharing a sometimes friendly, sometimes not so friendly rivalry with their green counterparts.

THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS

Alan Scott – The first human Lantern, Alan Scott served Sector 2814 alongside Abin Sur for over three decades before ultimately meeting his fate at the hands of the terrorist cabal, the Sons of Darkseid. A well-respected Lantern, his death and subsequent replacement in Hal was met with shock and disdain by many, who believed that he was a one of a kind human, an outlier amongst humanity’s otherwise primitive stock. His legacy is something that Hal struggled, and continues to struggle with, living up to. 

Abin Sur – Alan Scott’s partner, and later Hal Jordan’s partner and mentor. Abin was an Ungaran Lantern, and a great one at that, revered as one of the Corps’ best members. For this he was credited as the reason why Scott rose above his human limitations (which Abin would deny, most often to Hal). Close friends with Sinestro, the shock of discovering the subjugation of Korugar at Thaal’s hands hit Abin harder than it did Hal, and he later met his end while confronting his old friend with Jordan. His ring, once legendary among the Corps, has since been liberated from Abin’s rookie replacement by Sinestro and forged into the first yellow ring, becoming a beacon of terror for the Green Lanterns.

John Stewart – An architect and former U.S. Marine, John became Hal’s partner after Sinestro killed Abin Sur’s replacement and took his ring for his own. Endowed with a newly forged power ring, he was the third human to join the Corps, and soon proved himself as an excellent, headstrong Lantern, playing a pivotal role in the Green Lanterns’ first encounter with Sinestro’s yellow light. Although he and Hal didn’t get along at first, they’ve become brothers since then, knowing that the moment they call their “partner”, he’ll be there. AVAILABLE FOR PLAY – WILL ACCOMMODATE NEEDS AS SPECIFIED

Guy Gardner – An ex-cop and schoolteacher, and the fourth human Lantern. With the rise of the other coloured Lantern Corps, chief among them Sinestro’s, the Guardians felt it necessary to expand the GLC’s limit of two Lanterns per sector to a greater number. Chosen alongside the young Kyle Rayner and eager Amon Sur, Guy left his job as a physical education teacher to serve Sector 2814. Hot headed, brash and often immature, he’s nonetheless proven himself as a great Green Lantern – Hal knows that he can count on him no matter what.

Kyle Rayner – Kyle was a struggling freelance artist, freshly out of college, when he was recruited to join the Lantern Corps. The youngest of Sector 2814’s Lanterns, he was unsure of himself at first, but after going through many gruelling trials on his own, he came to grow in confidence and establish himself as a talented, capable agent of the Corps. Despite this, he remains as the “little brother” of the Earth Lanterns. AVAILABLE FOR PLAY – WILL ACCOMMODATE NEEDS AS SPECIFIED

Jessica Cruz – PLAYED BY @RUBY

Kilowog – A Green Lantern of Sector 0674, Kilowog is a brilliant geneticist hailing from Bolovax Vik. He’s the Corps’ most distinguished recruiter and trainer, his poozers coming out of basic training prepared for whatever their Sector throws at them. A good friend to the Earth Lanterns.

Salaak – The senior administrator of the Corps and keeper of the Book of Oa, Salaak is a dedicated veteran who approaches his job with meticulous professionalism. Stern and by the books, he and Hal have a... complicated relationship.

Tomar Re – A Xudarian Lantern of Sector 2813,  Tomar Re was good friends with Abin Sur and Alan Scott prior to their deaths. Now a senior member of the Corps, he works almost exclusively as a trainer, entertaining the thought of retiring his ring. 

Arisia Rrab – A Green Lantern of Sector 2815, Arisia was recruited to the Corps when she was a teenager following the death of her father, the Lantern before her. Boisterous, headstrong and capable, she’s proven herself a Lantern of the highest standing.

Katma Tui –The Korugaran replacement for Sinestro, Katma Tui had a tough role to undertake as Green Lantern of Sector 1417. With the Green Lanterns shunned by her home world as symbols of terror and despotism, she struggled to shed the images that Sinestro had painted of the Corps on Korugar, and of Korugar in the Corps. She’s since been able to move past that, establishing herself as a talented, determined Lantern.

Sodam Yat – A rookie, Sodam Yat left his xenophobic world of Daxam behind to protect those that his society shuns. As a Lantern of Sector 1760, he’s eager to prove himself, and looks up to the Earth Lanterns as some of the Corps’ best. 

Mogo – A sentient planet, Mogo is a Green Lantern of Sector 2261. Despite the Roche limit imposed upon it, Mogo is an immensely valuable member of the Corps, its power huge – painting a large target upon its surface for any who want to strike a significant blow against the GLC.

The Guardians – The founders of the Green Lantern Corps, the Guardians are a council of immortal Maltusians who have lived throughout much of the universe’s history. Believing themselves to know the best course of action in every situation (as billions of years of experience would do), they’ve cut themselves off from emotions in order to make the “appropriate” objective decisions for the ensured protection of the universe.

ENEMIES

The Sinestro Corps – Wielding Parallax’s yellow light, the Sinestro Corps spreads fear throughout the universe under the banner of a fallen Green Lantern. Wielding Abin Sur’s ring, forged into the first ring of fear, Thaal Sinestro aims to bring order to all Sectors, and through it prove to Hal Jordan and the Guardians that their attempts to “keep the peace” are futile at best. Its ranks made up of the universe’s most fearsome creatures, the Sinestro Corps is a force to be reckoned with.

Thaal Sinestro – Formerly one of the Green Lantern Corps’ best, Abin Sur and Alan Scott’s close friend, and Hal Jordan’s good friend and mentor. Sinestro had all that taken away from him when, through Hal’s initiative, he and Abin Sur discovered the Korugaran’s subjugation of his home planet. With Abin dead and all of Sinestro’s life work for naught, Sinestro strove to prove that his way was the only way. Killing Abin’s replacement and using his ring as the catalyst, he utilised the yellow light of fear and sparked a wave of terror throughout the universe. Now leading his fearsome Corps, he is a figure of ruthlessness and horror, and one of the only men brave enough to openly declare himself as an enemy of the Green Lantern Corps.

Amon Sur – The son of Abin Sur, Amon grew up idolising his father, dreaming of nothing else but becoming a Green Lantern like him. When the GLC expanded, he got his wish, chosen by a power ring alongside Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner. Fresh out of basic training, he soon came into contact with Sinestro, who felt responsible for the boy in his own twisted way, manipulating him until his perceptions of the Green Lantern Corps were twisted beyond any agreeable form of reality. Giving into hatred and fear, Amon joined the Sinestro Corps despite Hal’s best efforts to stop him, becoming one of Sinestro’s best agents in his Corps of terror.

The Red Lantern Corps – Led by Atrocitus, the Red Lantern Corps channels rage as its weapon in its war against the green light of will, waged for the Rage Entity that calls Atrocitus’ body its home.

The Manhunters – The Green Lantern Corps’ predecessors, the Manhunters are sentient robots that have adapted to their mission of enforcing peace by eradicating all life. Exiled to the far reaches of space, they’ve somehow managed to crawl their way back on more than one occasion, familiarising themselves as enemies of Hal and the rest of the Corps.

The Sons of Darkseid – Zealous worshippers of Apokolips, the Sons of Darkseid are a radical, anti-Green Lantern terrorist cabal who who aim to enforce Darkseid’s will through acts of extreme terror. They are responsible for Alan Scott’s death, and were the target of Jessica Cruz’s multi-year undercover operation. They have no true affiliation with the Apokoliptian ruler.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:

Absolute Bruce doesn’t stray too far from traditional canon Bruce, except on one or two key points. He’s older, for a start, having been acting as Batman for nearly twenty-three years now, and while he makes good use of that experience, time is telling on him. Years of facing down the worst dangers that Gotham can throw at him has taken its toll, eroding his once sublime physical attributes. He’s began to realise that he can no longer trust his body, though refuses to acknowledge that fact. His growing fragility does weigh on him though, and he has begun to worry about his legacy. He’s afraid that he has never truly made a difference in Gotham, and fears that none of his ‘sons’ will be able to succeed where he has failed. Maybe his time is short, but all that means to him is that he must work harder than ever, and find a way to make Gotham safe for good. In Absolute Bruce isn’t just fighting a war against crime. He’s fighting one against his own mortality. 

Because he's been acting as Batman for so long he's already encountered most - if not all - of his classic supporting cast and Rogues gallery. I wont bother rehashing his history with them here. I'll try and tease out that kind of information organically as we proceed. Long story short he's earned the trust of Commissioner Gordon and the superhero community, he's fought countless battles against the likes of Joker and Riddler, and he's raised a whole gaggle of Robins and Batgirls.

C H A P T E R   O N EC O M E  T A S T E  T H E  V E N O M

Somebody is flooding the streets of Gotham with the super-steroid venom. Street gangs and addicts are getting their hands on unprecedented amounts of the drug, though the GCPD has no idea how the dealers are getting a hold of the Santa Priscan export, especially as the villain Bane is behind bars in Blackgate. Somebody needs to put a stop to this, before Gotham tears itself a part in a drug induced rage.

Then at night, he becomes the Devil. The Devil is feared in the underworld as a violent criminal who is slowly climbing the ladder to become the city's kingpin. The part is an act, with Matt using the front as a criminal to actually attack the people who killed his father.

Nolo Contendere - After accepting to take up the murder defense of a young man pro bono, Matt begins to discover his client is truly innocent despite his many claims that he is guilty. As Matt tries to get the case thrown out based on evidence, Daredevil looks into the young man's past and neighborhood and discovers a sinister conspiracy.

Casus Belli - A shaky alliance between the mob and the Crusaders MC is in tatters after a drug deal gone bad ends with dead men on both sides and a missing briefcase with a million dollars in it. While Matt Murdock tires to prevent a gang war between his clients, Daredevil tears up the city in search of the perpetrators of the attack and the missing money. 

Hostis Humani Generis - A vigilante has come to the city, reigning down death and destruction to those in need of punishment. Among the killers targets is Matt Murdock, the city's number one criminal lawyer.

"Mr. Murdock, do you plan on a lengthy cross-examination of the witness?"

"No, Your Honor," I said as I stood. "I'll be brief."

I couldn't see it, but I could hear the muscles in Judge Sandra Young's face form into a smile. Noon was fast approaching and Judge Young likes her smoke breaks. I was honestly surprised that she had allowed the current session to run now for over three hours without breaking. 

"You may proceed," she said.

I made my way from the defense table, passing by Assistant DA Blake Tower on my way towards the lectern facing the witness box and the jury. I heard Tower's right eyelid flip in a wink at me, a force of habit I assume. His gait was that of a man who was confident on the point of cocky. And who wouldn't be cocky after the testimony he had just withdrawn from his witness?

With Tower holding his hand, Detective Sergeant Michael Tork had just delivered an hour's worth of testimony that guided the jury through his investigation. Working out of the NYPD's 33rd Precinct, Tork and his four-man narcotics unit conducted a two month investigation into the suspected drug dealing activities of one Jesus Reuben Martinez, resident of Washington Heights and a known member of the Puerto Rican Army. 

Jesus sat at the defense table, looking on while his heart raced a mile a minute. I could probably have smelled the sweat beading on his forehead from outside the court room it was so pungent. He had every reason to be worried. Tork's testimony was solid. He had explained in that clear and clipped cop-speak that his unit had observed Martinez in and around the Wilson Terrace Housing Projects where he lived, but they could never get concrete proof that he was dealing. He was careful on the street, conducting his business in the housing project where the cops couldn't go without arousing suspicion. Martinez would take the train somewhere downtown, but they always lost him in the shuffle of the commute. Close to packing up the case, they turned instead to the eye in the sky. 

Jesus Mendez had the honor to be among the first targets of the NYPD's new drone surveillance program. The drone in question caught Jesus taking a re-up from a supplier and then meeting with the dealers who worked for him to move his product. Jesus had eluded police ground surveillance thanks to his keen observations. But he hadn't thought to look up into the sky.

"Thank you for taking the time to be here, Sergeant Tork," I said a I prepared for the cross. 

"You're welcome," Tork said tightly. 

A genuine hater. I figured the cop for one of those right off the bat. Now my suspicions were confirmed by the stand-offish answer and the increase in his pulse. A lot of cops make no effort to hide their contempt for defense attorneys. Instead of seeing what we do as a necessary check on the system, they instead see us as quasi-criminals who are just a few steps above the scumbag clients were represent. Not that he would be completely wrong in that assessment. But if he didn't hate defense lawyers now, he sure as hell was about to hate them after I was through with him.

"Sergeant Tork," I said with little to no delay. "Who operated the drone that took the surveillance photos of Mr. Martinez?"

"Officer Pierce," said Tork. 

"And he's a member of your narcotics unit?"

"Yes, he is."

"I've been told that the photos you took are of good quality." I turned towards the jury with a half smirk. "I wouldn't know for myself."

I've found that self-deprecating humor can go a long way to disarm juries. Especially given my reputation over the years, playing up my blindness offsets my other less desirable qualities.

"They can clearly make out your client dealing drugs," Tork replied.

"Move to strike that from the record," I asked the judge. "It's inflammatory."

"So noted," said Judge Young. She looked down at Tork from her perch. "And I would remind Sergeant Tork to stick to simpler answers."

"Sergeant Tork, did you write the warrant that led to the use of the drone on my client?"

"No," said Tork. "We didn't have to write a warrant."

I smirked and squared my glasses up. Tork's heartbeat was steady, but starting to rise. He was telling the truth -- a refreshing departure from a lot of cops on the stand -- but he was beginning to get nervous. He knew something was up. With this cross, I was setting the fuse on the bomb that would destroy the prosecution's case. 

"Drones and the use of them are relatively new in law enforcement, Sergeant. Are you up to date with all the rules and regulations?"

"I know how to do my job if that's what you're asking."

"Oh, so you know about the rules on surveillance distance with drones? They're much more restrictive with them than they are with planes and helicopters. If you're less than a thousand feet away from the target, you need a warrant. Anything without a warrant is considered an illegal search."

I held up the photographs, making sure they were the right side up and facing Tork.

"From how far would you say these photos were taken, Sergeant Tork?"

Now Tork's heart was racing. I could smell the sweat on him. Along with his change, I heard Tower groan under his breath from the prosecution table and Juror #4 laugh under his breath. 

"I'm not an expert on distances," he said defensively.

"No, you're not," I said with a nod. "I'll have one of those come up when the defense presents. No more questions for Sergeant Tork, your honor."

And just like that, the seeds of acquittal have been sewn. Is Jesus Martinez guilty? Of course. The photos prove that. But they weren't obtained legally. That, more than anything, is my job. I have to make sure the cops play fair. I have to test the state's evidence and make sure it holds up. I am a necessary part of the threshing maw that is the American criminal justice system. I poke and prod and pull threads. Better that a guilty man go free on a technicality than an innocent man be convicted on faulty evidence.

At least, that's what I tell myself to make it through the day. 

At night I cope a different way.

A younger, gender-flipped Ketch, still coming to grips with her possession, her new abilities, and just what these new circumstances mean for both her own life and the lives of the world at large. She needs help, mentoring, and companionship, but is unsure where to find it, and also has to contend with those that would hunt her down and take the Spirit of Vengeance's un-matchable power for themselves. Easily underestimated, even in her own mind, Dani needs a family, a home, and to stop unwillingly turning into a hellfire-infused skeleton with the power to level major cities.

N O T E S:
Dani's current allies include Zarathos, the demon possessing her and an uneasy alliance at that, and that's it. She's unsure where to find the help she needs, but she suspects SHIELD, or any well-known wielders of sorcery, would be more than capable.
Dani's current foes include Mephistopheles, the devil with whom she made a bargain in the first place, the agents of Mephistopheles, who seek to capture her so he may harness Ghost Rider as his enforcer, and a strange,
 Templar-like faction of men and women who seek to expell the demon she harbours from their world. She is on the run, and paranoid about all three, unable to trust anyone lest they be double-agents for her enemies.
Dani is aware that Zarathos affords her some abilities even when not transformed, but she is unsure as to what they are and how they work. So far, she is only aware of an enhanced physical durability, though not to superhuman levels.

“Looks like I’m caught in a web. Oh my. Whatever will I do?”

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
Back to my roots – hopefully with the intention of actually finishing an episodic arc this time! Black Cat as a… character has gone through a variety of incarnations in this interpretation. The thief-turned-vigilante-turned-thief-turned-vampire hunter-turned-vigilante-turned-thief is back at it again, and she’s probably bound to get involved in shenanigans leading to a torrid and unwelcome reunion with a particular New York City-based superhero. 

However, Felicia’s episodes will not simply be collaborative invasions of others but also her own dedicated plotlines. Such plotlines include robbing a lot of people for shiggles and big scores, though considering I’ve never done a heist story proper I might have to figure out some other options. Perhaps Felicia gets tied up in her duties as a socialite, artist, and entrepreneur? Maybe one of her (few) friends calls in a favor from her? Maybe a marked assassin with a grudge comes after her? Perhaps she gets tasked with stealing from her nemesis, Kingpin, for reasons she doesn’t really care about? These are all options and I imagine more will come up.

In terms of Felicia’s backstory, I don’t think doing an elaborate timeline is necessary. The big important tidbits to know in this continuity is the fact that she’s the closest (and best) friend of Mary-Jane Watson and has been since they were kids, she was born into money with her mother being a influential shareholder in a few New York companies like OsCorp and Stark Indutries, she’s had run-ins with Spider-Man, and when she was in her first year of College she got blackmailed into working for Wilson Fisk. Beyond that, you can imagine Felicia has been as catty as she always has with a knack for getting into trouble or being brought into it by a particular moronic webhead. She’s also worked with Blade and Morbius, and has a rivalry with DC Universe thieves like Selina Kyle and Holly Robinson. Anything else will be determined in-game.

She’s also got a really good right hook.

N O T E S:
I’ve run Felicia Hardy several times over, so I am going to be taking the best from each of my interpretations into a cohesive, final product with the Absolute Comics rendition of the character. She’s still as charming, sardonic, and witty as ever, but with a little flavor. Any notes needed will cover her limited prehistory and associates.

ALLIESAaron Davis // Prowler: A former rival thief turned on-and-off again ally, Aaron Davis could be considered part of Felicia’s network (or cadre) of thieves. When Felicia needs more hands for a more dangerous heist she knows she can trust Aaron’s skills as Prowler.

Eric Brooks // Blade: Since leaving Kingpin’s service, Felicia has attempted to be a globetrotting superheroine, and as such has found herself in the company of supernatural vigilante Eric Brooks, otherwise known as Blade. Felicia found time in such company relieving following struggles in New York due to her fixation on Spider-Man.

Jesse Thompson: The sister of Flash Thompson. Felicia counts Jesse as her closest friend after Mary-Jane Watson; a relationship that has persisted since Detective Harrison Thompson started dating her mother (albeit briefly). Jesse Thompson is currently in medical school, inspired by her childhood to help others how she can.

Mary-Jane Watson: Felica’s best friend since they were both kindergarten students, Mary-Jane Watson was the one thing that kept Felicia from giving up on everything throughout elementary school and junior high school. For a time their friendship turned romantic, but Felicia’s leash was held by The Kingpin of New York City at the time and the secrets Felicia couldn’t reveal nearly destroyed their friendship. Six-to-Seven years later and things are different. But given Mary Jane’s relationship to a certain someone Felicia is unsure and afraid what the future may bring. 

Peter Parker // Spider-Man (I): The ever persistent web-crawling superhero has been a subject of Felicia’s struggles since her second year of college, and oftentimes in a frustrating way. Felicia owes a sort of debt to Spider-Man since he helped her break free of Wilson Fisk’s grasp, though his constant interference in her life has made any romantic feelings she had hard to move past. Spider-Man is one of three people that Felicia would drop everything for if they truly needed her help. 

ENEMIESSelina Kyle // Catwoman (I): During her time as a thief, Felicia has run into certain people who aspire to collect the same item as her – the most difficult of these rivals being that of Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman. Whilst Selina is centrally located in Gotham City, the two have clashed often and oftentimes Felicia has lost despite being the younger of the two. 

Wilson Fisk // The Kingpin: The man who is responsible for the death of her father, the experimentation of a super soldier serum on Felicia’s body (that her father stole), and a servitude that she wishes to repay him tenfold for. If there is one person that can get under Felicia’s skin with ease it is most definitely Wilson Fisk. As cunning as he is ruthless and large, Fisk has kept an eye on Felicia’s activities since their “falling out”. Though he may despise Spider-Man more for ruining his plans for her.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
Sabrina Spellman. Sorceress Supreme. It's going to be a hoot.

Essentially, I’m borrowing a lot of elements with the above concept from series such as ‘Afterlife with Archie’ and ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ which focus on interpreting Sabrina the Teenage Witch in a more horrific, suspenseful, and bizarre manner. One can expect me to dip into David Lynch-esque tones (Twin Peaks, etc.) and pulp influences from authors that are just as weird. I haven’t touched into psychological horror and supernatural horror as a genre of writing in a long time so I am hoping this vehicle will be inspiring going forward. While collaborations are always open, I feel like Sabrina will be in her own corner for a good while as I build the ideas I want to tell. Outside of the town itself, I also want Sabrina to have inherited the title of “Sorcerer Supreme” (though it is more like sorceress, lol) for the world at large. Additionally, any magical-oriented characters will be welcome to chart out interactions in the future; of those options I am the most interested in Zatanna, Constantine/Hellblazer, and Hellboy. So that’s an option.

For Sabrina’s childhood, it’s pretty the typical affair… just painted differently due to my influences. Sabrina was raised her entire life in quasi-seclusion and due to her tutelage by her eccentric aunts she is one of the most competent (albeit untested) magi in the world, and perhaps even the dimension itself. I’m not sure how my characterization will bloom because this is largely uncharted territory but I guess that’s what makes it so damn exciting.

A R C    I D E A S:
A Father's Love - After many years of service Dr. Trevor Bruttenholm, one of the founders of the BPRD, has died. Found lying face down at his desk it appears to be of natural causes. Hellboy although devastated believes that this was something far more sinister as just after the funeral a package arrived specifically addressed to him in a language that only he can read.  

The Rightful King - The notes left behind by Professor Bruttenholm has shown that the good doctor had been researching into finding out more about his adoptive son. A name Sarah Hughes keeps repeating, something that should be looked into.  

Guess I Ain't That Special After All - Living as long as he has, Hellboy has heard of a world filling up with heroes and even some that have mystical knowledge. He assumes that at some point he will either have to kill them or help them, either way it's probably going to be a pain in the butt.

For this, I intend to take a healthy dose of inspiration from the Earth 12 (Exiles) version of Mimic, in that this Calvin was a former Brotherhood of Mutants recruit turned X-Men member and eventual leader. Having suffered and been experimented on at the hands of his scientist father, Ronald Rankin, to develop Calvin's abilities, and then later having been manipulated by Magneto and his Brotherhood, Calvin has long-since found a home where he feels he truly belongs. 

I plan for Calvin to have been an important figure in the X-Men's history of this universe, the first new member after the original five, and the first and most consistent/long-lasting field and team leader for the various incarnations throughout the past fifteen years. Having time and again proved himself to be a hero worth admiring, this Calvin wishes to show the world at large that mutants are not the dangerous monsters that some see them as, despite not being a mutant himself. As such, he has led the X-Men in a much more open and welcoming environment than has been demonstrated in most comic-versions of the team. Should there be a Justice League in this world, I'd like to have had past, positive collaborations between them and the X-Men. Less of an isolated feel to the X-Men's direction than is usual. 

I want to switch between telling brief stories of important events in Calvin's life since being approached by Magneto fifteen years ago and subsequently joining the X-Men, and exploring current arcs. I have two potential solo arcs in mind that will pull Calvin away from his pivotal role in the X-Men. These arcs may offer room for collaboration depending on other players' characters, I'm intending to write Calvin in such a way that he can, and will, participate in many of the crossover events that should arise. 

Finally, it can be assumed that Calvin has led the X-Men against the majority, if not all of, their classic foes. With a decided fifteen years worth of X-Men history in this universe, much of the X-Men's comic book roster has been explored. 

N O T E S:
Anna Marie | Rogue: It was Calvin that reached out to Rogue when she had originally shown up confused and angry, working alongside X-Men villain Mystique. Recognizing in her what he had once gone through, Calvin was able to get through to the young woman and convinced her to join the X-Men. Less than a year later, the two would strike up a romance that persisted through the years and many crises. Often a secondary leader of the X-Men, she is one of the few members who have been a constant since her arrival. On a fact-finding mission to discover the perpetrator of a recent devastating attack on the X-Mansion, Rogue has disappeared leaving a concerned Calvin to search for her.

Scott Summers | Cyclops: When Calvin first joined the team, Scott viewed him as a bit of a rival. The somewhat shy and reserved Scott saw the more relatable young man as taking over his position on the team, which was only exacerbated once Calvin received team leadership. Over the years, however, the two developed a deep respect and friendship. It was Calvin who had helped to bring Scott out of his shell, and encouraged him to ask Jean Grey out on a date. Scott has historically been the second-in-command for much of the X-Men's history, and has recently taken over as field leader after Calvin announced he would take a leave-of-absence to search for Rogue.

Charles Xavier | Professor X: The man credited with giving young Calvin Rankin a second chance, and turning his life around dramatically for the better. Had Xavier not had faith in him, Calvin doubts he ever would have left the life of crime he had been heading towards. With Calvin's own father dead, Xavier would over the years grow to become a surrogate father figure to Calvin. Xavier was the first to ever willingly allow and give permission for Calvin to "permanently" mimic his powers; an act Calvin has always admired. Currently, Xavier was injured in the recent attack on the mansion, as he was in the room at the time Cerebro was destroyed in an explosion. He's currently receiving medical attention by their resident nurse, Cecilia Reyes.

Piotr "Peter" Rasputin  | Colossus: One of Calvin's closest friends at the Xavier Institute, and the member of the X-Men who has had the greatest positive influence on his moral code. Peter has been nothing but kind and caring, a gentle giant one might say, and his attitude has in many ways rubbed off onto Calvin throughout the years.

Kitty Pryde | Shadowcat: The first young mutant that Calvin ever mentored. Kitty joined the X-Men a couple years in, one of the few new members in the early years. Calvin took her under his wing during this time, and helped her to better understand her abilities. This was a role Calvin would eventually take and excel in for the rest of his career with the X-Men, his powerset making this something he was uniquely suited for, but Kitty, being the first of his proteges, has a special place in his heart, and she in turn looks up to him.

Kevin Sidney | Morph: The most recent of Calvin's personal proteges to graduate to the X-Men team full-time. Out of all the other X-Men Calvin has ever spent time with, Kevin is the only one able to consistently make Calvin smile regardless of how upset he may be. He is also, out of all of Calvin's proteges, the one he feels has the most potential. With Calvin stepping down from active duty while in his search for Rogue, Kevin will be taking his place on the main team. 

Megan Gwynn | Pixie: The X-Men trainee who was with Rogue on the fact-finding mission when she disappeared. Having split up, by the time Megan returned to meet back up with Rogue she was gone and only a few drops of blood remained at the scene. Despite reassurances otherwise, Megan partially feels responsible and had practically begged Calvin to allow her to help in his search. A request Calvin denied, much to her frustration.

 This is all liable to change, and is, of course, adjustable should any players wish to pick up any aforementioned character.

Without getting into a lengthy description of how Calvin's mimicking abilities work, nor their limitations, the following is a list of the five individuals to whom Calvin has currently "set" himself to.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
Laurel is a lawyer by day, crime fighter by night type of person. But even though she had previous background in fighting from self defense classes, she wanted to further her training and that's exactly what she did whenever she confronted Oliver and found out that he was 'The Arrow'. After many failed attempts of his training and his sudden disappearance, Laurel took matters into her own hands and just went out there and fought against the different groups of people that was terrorizing the city. Whether she won or she lost, Laurel did not let that stop her from still wanting to save the city from the vigilantes that was running amok. When Oliver found out who she really was and what she was doing, he urged her to stop before she got herself hurt or killed but Laurel wasn't just becoming 'The Black Canary' for the city but for her sister, Sara Lance, as well.

Laurel may not be too skilled in martial arts but she will definitely get a few punches and kicks in and will strike with the steel rod that is practically two steel rods connected together. She does not really like to use her high sonic device known as 'The Canary Cry' but it does come in handy sometimes - Especially when she needs her current opponent to back away or to gain the upper hand.

It's been awhile since she has seen Oliver or anyone associated with 'The Arrow' to be exact. It hasn't stopped her from still trying to save the city that she was born and raised in as she hopes that someone from 'Team Arrow' or anyone for that matter makes an appearance soon because she cannot save Starling City all by herself. She probably can but does not want to take the risk.

C H A R A C T E R  A R C S:
"I'm The Justice You Cannot Run From" ___ After her sister's death, Laurel decided that Starling City still needed 'The Black Canary' but instead of fighting the hardened criminals, she just fought the guys that liked to hit on women. She did a somewhat good job of defending the women that were being terrorized as the local news was all over the long waited return of 'The Black Canary'.

"Hi, I'm Laurel Lance and I'm a recovering addict" ___ It's no secret from her family that whenever she thought that her sister, Sara, was dead the first time that the bottle chugging began along with the pill popping. The pill popping did not get out of hand until she wasn't a lawyer anymore. When Sara was alive and she found out after seeing her, it was when she checked herself into rehab and actually wanted to get help. It wasn't until recently that the pill popping started again but that was after Sara's death, for real - Something she wished that she did not have to witness. But she is wanting to get help again.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:

This interpretation of Ozymandias history and childhood is much the same. Adrian still adopts his parents fortune and simply gives it away, he is still inspired by a vision to become a costumed hero. He tackles organized crime head on, becoming a very well known hero. It deviants from canon as the Keene act is never passed and Doctor Manhattan abandons humanity earlier. As Ozymandias is born later in this universe, the Soviet Union dissolves and splinters, the threat of nuclear war fades away. Instead of his grand scheme to prevent a global nuclear holocaust, Ozymandias has become a publicly known hero. His true identity is known, and he is considered retired to the public. He is still bent on creating a Utopian earth, and eliminating organized crime. 

The older Ozymandias has capitalized on his fame as a costumed hero, massing a fortune. He turned it into a merchandising empire known as Veidt Enterprises. His company has become a worldwide conglomerate, manufacturing all manners of items, including multiple cutting edge technologies. This Ozymandias is one that is willing to do nearly anything to combat crime and make the world a better place, in pursuit of his goal of a utopia, one of total world peace. He is revered by many of his peers and even the government himself, who he has worked with in the past. He may even be willing to don his costume and personally fight those he needs to defeat to accomplish his goals. He holds a seemingly unbreakable stance in which ends justifying the means, even if it conflict with the ideals of other heroes. 

As for chapter and arc ideas, I'm intrigued to see how Ozymandias would interact with other characters. He may mesh in interesting ways with fellow heroes with far different mindsets and may even look at some villains in a different way.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
I’ve wanted to work out the Supergirl stories I have had in my head for a few years now, but either I’m the unluckiest asshole around or I’ve just had bad timing. Whichever the case may be, I think this could be the best option to start her off without stepping on any of the toes of the prospective Superman player because at the end of the day Kara-El is one of my favorite characters in comic books. In this version of Supergirl, I’ve looked back at my unfinished concepts from previous roleplays and transplanted them to a world that would probably make an interesting foil to the strong-willed, independent, and pragmatic interpretation of Kara’s character. 

In terms of backstory, the only thing that is different from the typical interpretation of Kara in her origins is that things happened a lot sooner than her sixteenth birthday. When Krypton was destroyed and Kara was launched into space, the blonde-haired Kryptonian was barely twelve years old - and that is how her cousin, Kal-El, found her. A year later, in her freshman year of high school, Kara donned the cape for the first time and ever since she’s attempted to live up to the incredible standard created by her cousin and her peers in the superhero community. However, Kara is not a person that explicitly needs to hide who she is and ever since an incident in high school where she came dangerously close to being exposed. She’s since abandoned the concept of a dual identity and chooses instead to take time away from her civilian identity and focus fully on operating as Supergirl. This is not to say Linda Lang no longer exists, but after finishing up her time at university and endangering people close to her she isn’t quite sure how to cope.

There will likely be things that will be need to ironed out between a prospective Superman player, but I don’t need to considering Kara can operate independent of Metropolis and even Earth. Kara can be as effective defending Earth from Intergang as she is in being trapped in Mongul’s colosseum or working with the Guardians of the Galaxy when they run into traces of BRAINIAC. Kara is by far my most diverse option for collaboration and she can be anywhere she needs to be at a given time. With that said, I’d like to reflect on Kara’s journey and show a weariness and hidden turmoil that is making things far more complicated than Kara wants to admit. Maybe she’ll trade blows with Galatea, or perhaps she’ll work with Kid Flash on a Titans operation. Who knows? Let’s make something happen.

N O T E S:
Kara first donned the cape when she was twelve years old, and ever since she has done the best. It has earned her enemies, allies, and rivals. If you’ve talked with me before you know that Kara-El is my favorite superhero and I have a very distinct vision for her characterization and cast of supporting characters.

ALLIES James “Jimmy” Olsen: Daily Planet’s rising star, James Olsen is one of Kara’s closest friends (and former love interests) who currently works as a photojournalist and blogger for Metropolis’s largest news publication. He’s two years older than Kara, and has had strong ties with Superman since he was a teenaged intern working under Lois Lane. 

Nasthalthia Luthor: Nasthalthia is Kara’s oldest and truest friend. She’s also her former girlfriend, nemesis, and rival. Suffice to say, Nasthalthia and Kara have a complicated relationship and the tension between the two is much worse now the two have spent time apart. Nasthalthia’s connection to her uncle, Lex Luthor, has always complicated things. Nasthalthia thinks humans need to be stronger than metahumans, aliens, and other “extranormals” believing strongly in her uncle’s belief of creating the ideal future she has always dreamed of. She is the only person outside of the superhero community that knows Linda Lang is Supergirl.

David Corporon: Former Police Commissioner of Metropolis and now Governor of Delaware; Corporon is a staunch supporter of Superman’s ideals and actions in and out of the United States. William Henderson replaced him as Police Commissioner. It is speculated Corporon will have a bid in the next Presidential Election as a Democratic Candidate.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
Billy Batson has the courage of Billy Batson. Other than that, he’s a kid with all the faults and frailties of a pre-teen child. He’s lived on the streets for longer than his age or appearance would suggest, making him a superior urban survivalist and teaching him to become resourceful in ways that would make others turn away from disgust. And he was like that, too, the first time he ate or drank something from out of the garbage, but between being gross and going another day without eating something, Billy’s learned to swallow pride.

Billy possesses a pair of Kymellian power gauntlets, known as the Nega-Bands, which were used by the previous Captain Marvel to tap into and channel the cosmic energies of the Rock of Ages. Because Billy doesn’t possess any natural talent for aetherial manipulation, more crudely known as sorcery, he must be wearing the Nega-Bands in order to be connected to the source of this power. While connected to the Rock of Ages, which does not exist in either time or space, Billy does not age or suffer the effects of time. When not in use, these gauntlets take the form of gold or copper looking bracelets, similar in design to POW/MIA memorial bracelets.

Wielding the Nega-Bands, Billy is able to tap into aetherial power with which he can combine the mystical sorcery that is the Will and the Word, casting the spell SHAZAM. This grants the wielder wisdom, strength, stamina, power, courage, and the capability for flight; including unaided faster-than-light travel through space. The exact meaning of the spell varies from user to user. In the case of Carol Danvers or Billy Batson, it is believed that the spell spells out this acronym:

    S for the wisdom of Solomon
    H for the strength of Hercules
    A for the stamina of Atlas
    Z for the power of Zeus
    A for the courage of Achilles
    M for the speed of Mercury

In contrast, a Kymellian user of the same spell, such as Kofi, would offer that the S stands for the wisdom of Shagya, while a Kree sorcerer, such as Phyla-Vell would say that the S is representative of Sindragosa. Owing to the older civilization he hailed from, Teth-Adam invoked the names of the ancient gods Set, Hersef, Amon, Zehuti, Anpu, and Menthu. The identity of the diety invoked is not related to the power of the spell or its effect, but is merely a psychological means of focusing the caster’s mind for the invocation.

While empowered, anything Billy is wearing is exchanged for a blue and red costume that features a gold lightning bolt on the chest, and a white, cowled cape with gold trimming. This costume, when not worn, and his clothing, when empowered, are stored in the otherworldly dimension known as Elsewhere. The Elsewhere tailors, clothiers of cosmic reknown, are able to maintain, replace, and repair the clothing or costume stored as necessary. This has the added benefit of Billy’s clothes getting laundered more regularly than was previously the case. Laundromats cost money after all.

In his empowered form, Billy is Earth’s mightiest mortal, but not merely for his physical characteristics. Enhanced intelligence, total recall, heightened senses, reflexes, and the ability to channel aetherial energy into bolts of lightning give him a host of options above merely punching something. With the assistance of the Nega-Bands, Billy has some capability for aetherial manipulation, making him a very poor sorcerer’s apprentice. Which is just as well, Billy’s better at punching stuff so he can leave the magic to Kofi.

N O T E S:
This is Captain Marvel. Which Captain Marvel, you ask? ALL OF THEM IN ONE. DC’s Captain Marvel and Marvel’s Captain Marvel, in one condensed storyline using the set-up behind June Brigman’s Power Pack as the glue that makes it all work. And the best thing of all? Everything is possible in the mythos of both series. Mary Marvel? Yep, she’s there. Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel or Binary? Yep, it’s possible. Someone wants to run Power Pack? I’ve left it wide open for someone to run them. 

Other than that, I’ve eliminated the aspect of Billy turning into an adult, but having the mind of a kid, by simply leaving him as a kid. Because this is Bounce. Were you expecting anything different?

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T

Take #2 – this time with direction, and plot! Wally’s a young guy who’s still trying to figure out his own identity as the Flash. He hung up his Kid Flash ‘stume around three years ago, becoming the third Flash with Barry’s (who’s alive and well, ready to be picked up) blessing. Graduating into Titans seniority, he juggles his time as a leader and mentor to the younger heroes with his own heroic duties, as well as his job as an assistant mechanic at S.T.A.R. Labs. Maybe it’s because of this that he feels like his relationship with Linda is on shaky ground – with his life so hectic and often unpredictable, he wonders if there’s any room left for her. He loves her, yes... but is that enough? Ultimately, I want to try my hand at fun character-driven stories that’ll see Wally come into his own as the Scarlet Speedster, with plenty of action, romance and superheroic craziness.

Iris Ann West-Allen –  Known to Wally as Aunt Iris, she’s been a mother to him ever since he was a kid, spending time with him when his parents neglected him. A successful and well-known journalist, much of her prosperity is owed to her investigative and civics pieces – as a prominent voice in Central City, she’s one of its most publicly known citizens, almost (but not quite) as well known as Metropolis’ Lois Lane.

Linda Park –  Wally’s girlfriend of four years, Linda works as a reporter at WKEY Channel 4 News. She is well aware of his activities as the Flash.

Barry Allen // The Flash (II) – Wally’s mentor and uncle, Barry’s the second person to take on the identity of the Flash. He now happily shares the name with Wally, believing his nephew to own it just as much as he does. AVAILABLE FOR PLAY – HAPPY TO DISCUSS

Bart Allen // Kid Flash –  Barry’s grandson, Bart hails from the future. Having inherited the Allen family’s speed, he’s a junior member of the Titans, and has been since he first arrived at present day.

Having lived through more than most, he’s a ninety-nine year-old source of boundless wisdom, making it through World War Two, Vietnam, and the rise of metahumanity, as well as helping found the Justice Society – and he only looks like he’s in his early sixties. Wally’s personal hero since childhood, he’s always there when the young West needs some guidance.

Artemis Crock // Artemis –  A former Titan, and Wally’s ex-girlfriend. Artemis is a master archer and talented hero in her own right – and also the daughter of one of the world’s most notorious assassins. Her and Wally ended things... badly.

Joseph “Joe” West –  Great grandpa Wallace West’s second son, the result of a drunken affair with an African American woman. Raised by Wallace and his wife, Joe was treated well, adored by his half-brother, William. At the age of forty, Joe took in his brother and his niece, Iris, after the former was crippled by his youngest child, Daniel. Daniel had run away after the incident. Joe is a captain at the C.C.P.D., and was a good friend and ally to Barry. He supports Wally as the Flash, proud of the path his great-nephew is taking. 

Wallace Joseph “Wally Joseph” “Joey” West –   The product of a teen fling, Wally Joseph was named after his great grandfather, Wallace, and great uncle, Joe – Daniel West’s idea of thanking Joe for taking Iris in after he crippled their father. At fifteen, Joey is in Iris and Barry’s care, as Daniel is an absentee father/supervillain and probably not a suitable caretaker for his son.

Eobard Thawne // Reverse Flash (I) – Nora Allen’s murderer, the original Reverse Flash. An extremely powerful speedster, and the personification of Wally’s nightmares.

Daniel West // Reverse Flash (II) – Wally’s uncle, Daniel turned to crime at an early age after he ran away from home. Gifted a connection to the Speed Force by Thawne, he let his vendetta against his abusive father turn into one against Barry and his nephew after they stopped him from killing William. His mind has since twisted into something unrecognisable, consumed by the power he holds.

The Rogues – Led by Captain Cold, the Rogues are a group of mercenaries and thieves powered by an assortment of tech. Thorns in the Flashes’ sides.

Grodd – A telepathic gorilla who rules over the hidden Gorilla City in the African plains. A damn ruthless, bloodthirsty, dirty ape.  

Lawrence Crock // Sportsmaster – Artemis’ father. A hockey mask wearing, ex-League of Shadows assassin wanted in most countries by most law enforcement agencies.

Issue #1: Anything That a Spider Can - So, you know the song, "Spider-Man, Spider-Man. Does whatever a Spider can." Well. Apparently, there's someone else that can do those things too, making both of them look pretty bad. I mean seriously; when you hear that a bank was robbed and the only remains in the vault were webs, it's pretty obvious who you think of.

Who knows what could happen next? The news is throwing around "V" word again! That's right, Vigilante. And that never leads to anything good, like when Mom gets a call from the Algebra teacher. Being that Peter's kind of busy, Miles decided he's going to do his own hero thing, and get to the bottom of it!

This arc can be open to anyone who plays a Spider-Man villain who is capable of faking his webbing and/or movements, but this one is pretty much a solo effort for Miles to figure it out.

N O T E S

This particular character is the one that is going to be more inclined to show up in crossovers and crisis events. Further, he isn't as much of a mainstay to the Teen Titans as the other members, as he still lives and mostly operates in New York City. With that, he's more of an Honorary Titan who comes in when someone of his niche is needed.

Other notes will be taken as determined.

Fun Fact - His appearance is slightly different, due to his character being inspired, in part, by Donald Glover or Childish Gambino who originally was supported by Stan Lee himself to become cast in the "Amazing Spider-Man" film, as Spider-Man instead of Garfield who was chosen. Further, he also voiced Miles in the cartoon show Ultimate Spider-Man.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
"My face? Oh, I overdosed on acne cream."

This incarnation of Vic Sage, the Question, is different from some of his earlier incarnations in quite a few ways. For starters, he's only just started his life as a masked vigilante, being only a month into his career which has mostly consisted of punching petty thieves and small time drug dealers. Some other differences arise: Vic did not grow up an orphan, and had two loving parents who recently passed away. He's also in his first few months as a news anchor for World Wide Broadcasting in Hub City, Illinois.

Currently, Vic's biggest bust in his career was taking down Dr. Arby Twain, who was planning on illegally selling Pseudoderm, a skinlike substance that can be used as a bandage, to third world countries. However, there was one catch: the bonding agent used to cement it to things was toxic to open wounds. Twain, however, knew the risks and was still willing to continue with the sale. Vic, utilizing a mask made of Pseudoderm, decided to create the vigilante alter ego of 'The Question' to take Twain down.

After leaving Twain trapped in Pseudoderm in front of the police station, Vic continued to use this new alter ego to combat crime. So far, he hasn't stumbled upon anything big, but he will!

C H A P T E R   O N ETHE QUESTION IN

THE HUB CITY HAPPENING!

A cult has been terrorizing Hub City for some time now, taking teenaged girls from their homes and slaughtering them for a blood sacrifice, whereafter the horribly mangled bodies are returned to their beds the night after they go missing. The HCPD has lost hope in catching those involved, and the Question has tasked himself with tracking down and bringing this cult to justice before they can kill another innocent girl.

N O T E S:
As mentioned above, Vic is pretty green currently and not at all jaded.
Vic has taken an interest in reading up on Buddhist philosophy as well as the way of Native American shamans.
Vic has a strange fear of aglets, the plastic tips at the ends of shoelaces. For this reason, he exclusively wears loafers, velcro shoes, or cuts the aglets off of the shoelaces.
Vic is not a skilled martial artist; his fighting style is mostly down and dirty brawling.
Vic uses a mask made of Pseudoderm to hide all of his facial features. It is cemented to his face via the bonding agent, which takes the form of a gas released from a special canister in his belt; the agent was modified by Professor Rodor to also change his hair color from bright ginger red to pitch black. The mask can also be rolled up into a ball and stored in his belt buckle.
Vic currently has one gadget: a grappling gun.
Vic frequently uses the bonding agent to intimidate criminals, saying it will take away their faces to scare them into giving him what he wants.

Professor Aristotle 'Tot' Rodor: 'Tot' is a friend of the Sages and Vic's professor in college. Due to having known him his whole life, Vic is close with Tot and views him as a grandfather figure. Tot was the person who designed Pseudoderm along with his colleague, Dr. Arby Twain. He also designed Vic's mask, giving it to him to stop Twain without having his identity revealed. Tot continues to help by providing first aid to Vic when he is injured, as well as designing new gadgets for Vic to use in his crusade.

More to come as Vic develops relationships with the rest of the cast.

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
'Absolute' Clark is as close to the quintessential classic Superman as my abilities can manage.  At this point, he's seen and done it all-- defeated unbeatable villains, solved impossible problems, saved the world time and time again.  Happily married to Lois, the great love of his life, he's proud of how far Kara has come as a hero in her own right, not to mention the accomplishments of his cloned protégé Conner.  Nothing, however, makes him prouder than his son Jonathan, who is just starting to develop powers of his own.

Of course, even when saving the lives of billions has become "all in a day's work," there are dangers that even the Man of Tomorrow is not prepared for, impossibilities waiting around every corner, threats new and old lurking in the shadows for their next opportunity to strike.

  I plan on throwing the craziest, most out-there challenges I can think of at Superman, testing the Man of Steel's mettle to the fullest, and hopefully telling a rather entertaining story as I do.

C H A P T E R  O N E:

THE DEATH OF THE SUPERMEN
While Clark has been the Earth's greatest champion for years, he's never fancied himself much of a detective.  However, all of his investigative skills and resources are put to the test when a body appears at his doorstep-- his own!  Superman soon finds himself swept up in a murder mystery of reality-bending proportions.  Someone, or something, is traveling from one universe to another, killing every Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, or anyone else wearing the 'S' on every world in its path-- using a mysterious weapon more potent than magic, more toxic than Kryptonite, and deadlier than Doomsday.  Can the Man of Steel get to the heart of this mystery before the cosmic killer strikes again?  He'd best try, because this world is next!

C O N C E P T   A B S T R A C T:
This Hulk will be a dramatically different Hulk to iterations I have played in the past, Absolute MkII Hulk has already had his chaotic times. Banner and Hulk understand at this point, though no doubt in the future they will contest it, that they are pretty much stuck with one another. While Hulk and Banner were accepting their new position, and battling out between who should remain in control there was breaking news on the television in the small diner Banner was currently sitting, a new energy entity calling itself Zzzax was ravaging Central City. Banner struck a deal with Hulk that he could have control for all but one day of every month, so long as he helped people. So essentially think Avengers: EMH Hulk mixed in with MCU Hulk with DC characters in the mix. I intend to have him grow as a character and really flesh out some of his lower tier villains, as well as (requesting where necessary) pitting him against DC characters who I fit would fit well into the Hulk Roster.

One thing I really want to do in this game is have the Hulk grow and develop as a character, with Banner and hopefully... get to Sakaar as I am going to be honest that is always a goal of mine.


C H A P T E R S:
Chapter One: Hero or Terror? The Public has been up in arms for months now, is the Hulk a terror? A monster? Or some people may even suggest a hero. Something moves in the Shadows as Hulk has not been seen for several weeks now, and he usually doesn't stay extraordinarily quiet.

Grey is for characters both personas know, Green is Hulk and Blue is Bruce Banner.
Betty Ross: Betty Ross was a fellow Researcher on the project that turned Banner into the Hulk, and one time love of Banners life, their relationship was strained by the knowledge that Banner was the Hulk however she was able to look past it, Bruce was unable too however and for fear of hurting her left her behind. Hulk shares feelings for her, it's unclear if he loves her himself or if it's Bruce bleeding through.

The Flash: The Flash is the first hero who the Hulk interacted with who didn't, just start fighting him. Instead the two worked together against Zzzack. In Hulks own words: "Hulk like fast man."

Rick Jones: An idiot who through their idiocy caused Banner to get exposed to Gamma Radiation and then create the Hulk. Both Banner and Hulk have an almost brotherly bond to the young man. He's the one who suggested that Bruce could work with the Hulk to be a hero, and one of the few people from Bruces old life tha tknows where he is.

Doctor Blue: Doctor Blue is an online Alias for someone who has been offering to help Bruce rid himself of the Hulk. It has been hard for Bruce to work on this in secret, though he is sure Hulk doesn't know. 

Justice League: Hulks relationship with the Justice League is very strained, he has fought with them and he has fought against them.

Thaddeus Ross: The worst possible father you could imagine from dating someone. 

Abomination: Bruce hates that he exists, Hulk hates that he thinks he's stronger and never leaves him alone.

These are the two main for now that are consistent antagonists in Hulks life.
