Here's a (completely non-mandatory) suggestion for everyone.

Once you've been accepted and you've posted in the IC thread, it would be helpful if you would edit your applications in the character tab to remove the "sample" section and replace it with a post catalogue. That way all of your posts are all in one place and easier to read in succession for those that are either catching up on the game or researching for a potentially-related character sheet.

As such:

Post Catalogue:

1. New Frontier in Ruins
2. The Marquis of Death
3. Doom
4. 4th July
5. A Reed Moment
6. Enter: Guy Gardner
7. Interlinked
8. Magic Beans

Post Catalogue

1. Fasest Woman Alive.
2. Zoom.
3. Promises.
4. Who's the Flash?
5. Test Subject: Flash
6. City Hall
7. Introducing: Hydro-Man

I don't just copy Morden, I have my own ideas.

I dunno, it depends on the style you're going for. I have small arcs that all fall into my story of "Revelations" but aren't going to take too long, but the overall long term game is gonna be long. IIRC @Lord Wraith is going to do a similar thing with Loki, where he re-appears every now and then until they have the showdown.

This will be fun:

@Byrd Man You mean to say, someone in a Comic-Book fanfic RP copied what someone else did and made it public :O

Unthinkable.

Also a throwback to when I was asleep, I don't find you intimidating Byrd. I just get nervous because I'm secretly in love with you a nervous nelly.

Added the post catalogue and, while I'm at it, making it known that I've also been keeping track of Frank's body count in the CS for the last few days.

I dunno how much it was planned, but I love the fact that the Punisher goes on his first spree, it goes on the news and Spider-Woman goes after him. I love that level of connectivity in these games, where it's easy to do stuff like that, whereas in comics itself they need to line up schedules, writers and all that jazz.

I can't wait till I get my turn at running into someone else.

I actually included a little homage to that scene in my first post with Frank counting how many rounds he has in his clip and how many guards are left, haha. Still, in that case he had extra clips on him; I might just throw him in a situation where all he has is one clip and he has to make each shot count.

And I have posted something finally. Sorry about taking forever to post, I have been trying out Grammarly and Hermingway Editor to see which is better and overall improve my writing. Also, I plan on adding a post catalogue once I finish with my current arc.

So to start todays on-topic discussion that will devolve into sexual innuendos within an hour (or less).

What's everyones favourite comic book adaptation to TV? Included Animated TV shows and Animated Movies (Because most of them are straight to home video anyway).

I know I started the conversation but I'm really having to think of my answer and can't even say my own yet.

I do have my issues with the CWs Flash, I'll say that here and now but I still enjoy it. I also know this crowd well enough not to mention the longest running show in the Flarrowends Universe.

Adaptation of an actual comic story: either the JL episode 'For The Man Who Has Everything', or the two part animated movie they did for The Dark Knight Returns.

TV show based off of comic books: that's a tough one. Either the Spectacular Spider-Man or Batman The Animated Series, aka the two most common answers when asked this question.

E: Oh shit, almost forgot Batman Beyond. Fuck BTAS and Spectacular Spider-Man, that's my favorite for the latter category.

Spectacular Spider-Man.

Good discussion! So, what's our next topic?

(I kid. Actually, we've been quite blessed with a litany of awesome TV comic book adaptations, from the DCAU days to Spectacular, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Young Justice. There's quite a few answers I'd accept to this question.)

@Eddie Brock I'd say Avengers: EMH and Young Justice... movie I like Flashpoint just for the Reverse Flash.

Though yeah this discussion was a bit shorter than I originally intended.

Is Stripperella an adaptation?

I think I have to give this one to Batman Beyond for animated and Smallville for live action if only because those were the two shows that got me to look into comic books and other superhero mediums. Static Shock also holds a very dear spot for me.

Animated? Batman: The Animated Series, bar none. And pretty much everything from the Timmverse, including Superman, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond.

Animated Movies, there are quite a few. Mask Of The Phantasm sits at the top, followed closely by Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker, but I immensely enjoyed Batman: Under The Red Hood, Wonder Woman, Hulk Vs., Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths, Batman: Gotham Knight, Superman Vs. The Elite, Batman: Year One, Justice League: Gods And Monsters, The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 (2 wasn't as good), Batman: Assault On Arkham, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, and surprisingly, the most recent Death Of Superman movie.

Live action TV-wise, Marvel's Daredevil is not only my favorite comic book show, it's up there among Breaking Bad, Fargo, and Game Of Thrones as one of my outright favorite shows of all time. Half the reason I want to write a 13 episode Batman show is to basically ape the tone of Daredevil.

Honorable mentions go out to the Adam West Batman series, Legion, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Young Justice, Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Wolverine And The X-Men, and the earliest seasons of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Agent Carter, and The Walking Dead. I came to dislike the later seasons of each of those five.

The first season of Daredevil is great but I think the quality of pretty much all of the Netflix shows has steadily declined with time. Either that or the Netflix-mandated thirteen episode structure has led to real pacing problems that has really detracted from my enjoyment of them.
