Given that it's been a day since the IC received any love, I think it's in everyone's best interest to table discussion/thoughts on second characters, villain PCs, and legacy characters in general for the foreseeable future. If you can't keep up with one character on a consistent basis, why entertain another? Especially when the option isn't even a guarantee. If you're not happy with your current choice and find yourself thinking up more ideas for a character you're not playing, you can always switch.

The Weekly Post Check is tomorrow, and looking at things currently, there are gonna be alot more people on it than in previous weeks. Let's concentrate on minimizing the chances of that being a recurring issue.

(If you're stuck or suffering from writer's block, something's coming very soon that'll bring everyone to attention and hopefully get some more widespread interaction going.)

All I know is that somebody better fucking post soon. @Morden Man and I both got posts we're ready to put up, but we don't want to turn this game into a FF/Hellblazer fest.

Hold your breeches. I'm in the process of editing my next Natasha post and making it look pretty, so it'll be up within the next hour or two.

Also just saying guys, that y'all can't expect the IC to hold to the level of posting consistency it's been at all the time. People have like jobs and lives and stuff. So sometimes they have good weeks for posting and sometimes they had bad weeks and you can't change that. And from my own personal experience hounding your players like taskmasters only leads to burn out, no fun, and sub-quality posts. Sure you gotta at least put some pressure, but no post to the IC for a day isn't something to get hot flashes over. But eh what do I know

Hex is correct. My next Bekka post is being worked on as we speak, but it’s not very good for morale to expect the exact same rate of consistency. Some people have more RPs, some people have other hobbies, some people have different work schedules, and that’s all without accounting for writing motivation. You want to keep motivation high, not low.

I get that. I've got a job and a wife and dogs and all that. I understand fully well that shit happens. I'm not trying to get into badgering territory, just trying to maintain as much of that original energy as possible. I've been through more than a few of these to know the signs of people checking out so I'm ever mindful and will do whatever I need to so that it's nipped in the bud.

Saying nothing isn't an option when fifteen people on the roster are a week behind, heading into the two week limit. That's over half the roster.

I do understand the real life obligations getting in the way argument in regards to posting. I do, and have been on the receiving end many times. And with sufficient cause and forewarning that things might be a bit sparse, I'm more than ready to let things slide - @Retired, for instance, said that he has to re-roof his house.

But one post in a span of fourteen days is all it takes. It's not really alot to ask of those who haven't said much, if anything.

I'll work on a post tomorrow evening. Probably won't finish as I'll be exhausted from another 10-12 hours in the sun stripping and hammering in shingles, but I'll at least start it so I can hopefully get a post up by Wednesday.

Especially knowing you've got some apparently IC events coming up soon to unleash upon us, so I want to get BD at least dipping his toes into vigilantism before then. I'll probably be too slow, though lol.
