Nettle

Nettle was approaching the door when she turned only to see the pale young face of Evangeline lunging towards her at high velocity.

Thud.

The sound was of course her falling to the ground underneath Evangeline, caught fast in her grip as she bowled her over. She looked down to the one pinning her as she rambled on about pancakes and syrup.

"Hhhh... H-I find hthe selection of tree saps havailable in the academy cafeterias are quite hlimited in variety." She gave her own insight into the topic at hand, no sound of perturbance in her tone despite being trapped in Eva's grasp.

"Hhadmittedly I have hnever eaten... Hhh... Panned cake before." As she spoke a small stowaway peeked it's head out from her satchel. It was a long black millipede with white tipped legs. It nimbly climbed from the entrance to her bag out onto the dorm floor, sashaying swiftly across the gap between her and the door before crawling underneath it. Out into the hallway it breached, escaping ever still down the hall to the stairs where it began it's descent into the school proper. All the while Nettle had failed to notice, her attention for the most part consumed by the presence of her two dorm-mates, one of whom had yet to let her back up.

She didn't have anywhere to be immediately. Her only concern really was the state of condition the contents of her satchel were in after taking such a fall with her.

Urgh! So late! She figured she'd be cutting it close, but she didn't intend to just sleep through the entire thing! Quickly running to her closet, Isobel ran through some of the clothing...all of which probably could use a light washing, but eh. It was fine. Quickly going through them, she found her usual attire. Smelled fine. Was probably fine. Just gonna get it dirty later anyways so she'd wash later.

Now she just needed to do the painstaking thing of fixing her hair and maybe a quick bath.

"ORA!" Running out of her room with clothes in hand and Ciervia clinging to her shoulders as she bolted past Darcella, quickly commandeering the bathroom. "Sorry Darcy! Gotta thing this morning need the bathroom!~" She shut the door behind her.

Siobahn merely giggled impishly, a wide grin forming on her ghostly visage at Eva's reaction to her cheating, but for the most part didn't reply, merely zoomed over her head and patted the smaller girl with one of her skeletal arms before floating next to Livia as Eva left to get dressed.

"How's Eva seem, Siobahn?" She asked the ghost, walking back over to her own closet to put together a proper dress. Eva was always so positive and cheerful, but she was always so exhausted and she'd be dishonest with herself if she didn't worry about her sister. Speaking of human health, they needed sleep to live. At least seven to eight hours to function normally. Insomnia like Eva's was bound to have its side effects.

"Fehno, Meui." Siobahn replied, floating over to Livia's side, placing a skeletal hand on her summoners shoulder in a mildly overly familiar manner, only to have Livia shoo her away.

"Is that so." Livia replied curtly. Siobahn pouted lightly, but otherwise said nothing as Livia pulled off her bed clothes and pulled on her usual blue dress, taking a seat at the desk and handing Siobahn a comb. "Well, keep an eye on her where you can and well, you know..." Siobahn gave a small nod of confirmation as she began running the comb through her summoner's hair. A few moments passed and they were done, Siobahn disappearing into Livia's shadow as she exited the room, just in time to see Nettle be tackled by her sister.

"Don't bother Nettle too much, Eva." Livia replied with a smile at the sight of her other dorm mate. "I'm sure as cuddly as you are, she's rather eager for breakfast as well." She turned her gaze to Nettle, smiling softly. "Good morning as well, Nettle. I apologize on my sisters behalf. Perhaps breakfast would be good for the three of us?" She glanced over to another person in the hallway. Max. Someone who she didn't particularly know very well...but then, the only person on campus she knew in any degree was Eva. Nettle as well, perhaps...so for the most part she ignored him, but the fact he addressed Eva was some cause of concern for her. Perhaps she'd need to keep an eye on him.

– House Bestia Tower / Cafeteria A –

Silas simply chuckled as Alistair charged out of the room. He wheeled around to give his roommate a nice, hearty pat on the back.

”Mornin’, Alistair! Where's the fire, buddy? Afraid they'll run out of food?"

Silas brushed a small tuft of cat hair from his roommate's sleeve and produced a genuine grin before continuing on his stroll to the cafeteria. His stomach growled rather loudly as he exited the Bestia hallway into the Great Room.

"Heh…maybe I'm the one who's afraid they'll run out..."

He was extremely hungry, as he was for pretty much every meal. Silas loved to eat, to put it very lightly, and it was an absolute wonder that he wasn't as big as a house with the way he piled his plates. As he was leaving the building, he spotted Odhra, who was also making his way to the cafeteria. Silas wasn't afraid of insects, though, they weren't really his favorite, either...but, he had grown to tolerate his roommate's little (and not-so-little) creepy crawlers. He gave Odhra a good-morning wave before heading outside, figuring he would see him in a moment.

The campus seemed to be slowly gaining momentum as the early risers filed out of their dorms and headed toward the cafeteria. There weren't nearly as many people present for the morning meal as there were for the other two, so only one cafeteria was open for breakfast. The room was fairly active when Silas arrived, the chatter volume holding at a low rumble. The heavenly sweet and savory smells that wafted through the air only served to further rile Silas' appetite, and his stomach gave another vicious growl. He hastily grabbed a platter and helped himself to a stack of pancakes slathered in butter and syrup, a few strips of thick-cut bacon, a couple of juicy sausage links, and a nice, fluffy pile of scrambled eggs. He also opted for a cool, tall glass of orange juice instead of milk or coffee. He contemplated grabbing a small bowl of oatmeal, but decided it would be easier to come back for it. He settled onto a free table and began to chow down, making a mental note to grab a little something for Ankarah.

"GAH!? I'M GONNA BE LATE?!"

Darcy shook her head and rolled her eyes when she heard Isobel screaming.

Late? What's she even doing awake?

A few seconds later, she was nearly bowled over as Isobel charged past her.

"Hey, watch it!"

Ceraseth hissed and Darcy sneered as the door slammed shut. She threw her face cloth down and placed her hands on her hips, eyeing the closed door with minor annoyance. As soon as the water from the shower could be heard, a mischievous smirk crept its way across Darcy's lips.

"Take care of that for me, will you, Cera?"

Ceraseth gave a satisfied purr as Darcy turned back to the mirror and began to brush her hair. The dragon-cat had a rather unique talent that had proved to be very useful on many occasions. Ceraseth had the ability to squeeze through overly tight spaces, seemingly flattening himself. He scooted underneath the door leading to the shower, swiftly darted past Ciervia, and flushed the toilet before making a quick exit. Darcy grinned as Cera returned and tossed her hairbrush onto the counter.

"You needed some help waking up, didn't you, Isobel? You're welcome!" Darcy shouted cheerfully as she walked back to her room.

She entered and turned to her impressive wall of shoes. She usually dressed from the bottom up, crafting every outfit based on her footwear. After a quick yet thoughtful deliberation, she chose an adorable pair of dark red boots. She grabbed a black medium-length skirt and a dark red hooded shirt from her closet to throw over a plain black camisole. She tied her hair into its usual high ponytail and looked herself over in the mirror. Satisfied with her appearance, she left the dorm with dragon-cat in tow.

Lady Woruk

– Headmistress' Quarters –

Lady Woruk was roused quite pleasantly as the subtle sounds of string music carried throughout her room. She rose slowly and shivered slightly rubbing her arms for warmth. She reached over and grabbed her housecoat, tossing it on and tying its belt before gently settling in a plush straight-back chair that was stationed at a small table. Just as she sat down, the ever-punctual Cogsworth placed her breakfast before her in exquisite fashion.

"If there is anything you need to announce to the school, I will make sure the messages are updated."

"Nothing of consequence this morning, Cogsworth. This breakfast is lovely, thank you."

She gave him a dismissing nod and proceeded to dine on her meal.

As per his usual routine, Alebard took a quick bath, and then spent a full five minutes wrangling his unruly hair into something that looked at least mildly presentable, grumbling the whole while about the frustrations his hair caused him. After getting his hair into some semblance of order, he pulled on a pair of brown pants, a sand red tunic, which he tightened around his waist with a brown leather belt, and a black cloak over it all. He returned to his room to fetch Zalek, who happily flew and perched onto Alebard's shoulder, and almost immediately proceeded to attempt to climb up the side of Alebard's face. Alebard sighed as he grabbed Zalek by the neck. "We've been through this a million times, Zalek," he scolded mildly. "My head is not a perch." Even so, he couldn't help but smile, ever so slightly. This matter of Zalek trying to climb onto Alebard's head, and Alebard stopping him before he could do so, had been going on so long now that it was practically a game - one that Zalek had yet to win.

With his friend riding on his shoulder, Alebard headed down to the cafeteria to get food for him and Zalek. He piled one plate with ham, bacon, and sausage, and then got another plate with a hearty omelette. He set both plates down at the first available seat he found in the cafeteria, across from one of the boys from house Bestia. Alebard gave the boy a nod. "Silas," he greeted cordially as he sat down. Zalek hopped down from Alebard's shoulder and quickly began digging in to his plate of meat while Alebard began eating his omelette.

Soon enough Nikola walked into the cafeteria. It was busy, as usual. As he walked towards the food table he was conscious of stares directed towards him, though they were more likely aimed at the fluffy mass in his arms. He could have de-summoned his dragon but he would probably need kitten to help with his breakfast.

He arrived at his destination looked around at the food on display. Over the brief period of time he'd spent here he found that it wasn't unsatisfactory compared to the food he would receive in the Drakengard manner. It was far less luxurious but Nikola counted that as a benefit. Maybe he would understand their appeal as he got older, but for the moment he appreciated more simple dishes, like what could be found at the cafeteria this morning.

Nikola stood back and carefully studied the food, as if deciding what to choose. He nodded to himself as his decision was made and dutifully placed Kitten into his hood. He picked up a platter and began collecting his breakfast. A few sausages, eggs, some bacon, some toast, and fruit juice. This was quite a lot for the boy, whose small frame didn't allow for much of an appetite. He did have backup in the form of Kitten, however, who no doubt had a voracious hunger after all that sleeping.

The boy looked around for an empty, peaceful spot to have a meal. He found a somewhat secluded table and set his platter down, taking Kitten from his back and lowering it to the table. It paced over to his plate with curiosity, and Nikola offered it one of his sausages. He took one of his pieces of toast and bit into it, watching as Kitten relentlessly chewed at its morsel. Although Kitten would gladly eat whatever he had left Nikola still wanted to eat as much of it as he could. He was still growing, he hoped, and his body would need all the nutrients it could get.

Alistair grinned at Silas, glad he hadn't caught him in a bad mood. "What can I say? I'm a growing boy."

He didn't think that Silas would be the snappy morning grump type, but the early hours could change the human mind in scary ways. Last year, his roommate had been an absolute monster in the morning. While Alistair tried to be friendly to everyone at the academy, he definitely respected some weren't a fan of his energetic personality.

This year, he'd been pretty lucky to be roomed with Silas and Odhra. As far as roommates went, they weren't unpleasant to be around. They coexisted peacefully, and Alistair hoped that as the year went on they'd be able to get to know each other better. Their personalities were very similar, which definitely helped with the whole living together situation. Plus, as far as he could tell, they seemed like they would be pretty alright with a party now and later.

Already, Alistair had been asked by several students when his next party would be. Apparently he'd become well known last year for the parties he'd thrown. Since a four room dorm wasn't the best place for a big party, most of the time it was on an invitation basis only. At the end of last year though, he'd thrown a big party down by the lake. People he'd never met before had shown up, to Alistair's delight, and the party had run into the early hours of the morning.

Departing from the dorms and heading to the cafeteria, he was pleasantly greeted by the smell of breakfast. He licked his lips. He hadn't eaten much last night, his limbs feeling like lead, and even looking at food making him feel sick to his stomach. He'd gone to dinner in hopes of shaking the dread that felt as if the sky was about to fall. It had been in vain, and after forcing smiles for the better part of half an hour, he'd given up. He had ended up slinking back to his dorm under the excuse of not having had enough sleep the night before. He could feel his throat closing up even as he burrowed deep into his covers and his cats settled around and on him. He'd contemplating going to the roof, but was too tired to even think about getting out of bed.

Alistair hated the days that made him feel like chains were wrapped around him too tight, squeezing the air out of him. For the most part, he tried to ignore it, but last night had been undeniably low for him. His stomach growled, snapping him from his thoughts. Food might not have been on his mind last night, but now, eating seemed like a great idea.

He moved through the line of food at his leisure, a pile of food stacked onto his plate precariously. Even if he hadn't eaten in a while, Alistair's appetite was insatiable. If there were a competitive eating club at L'Mordryn, Alistair could probably have everyone at the academy beat. But, there wasn't, so Alistair put the knowledge he learned from years under the heel of the Blackwells to use in culinary club. He'd imagined that years in servitude would ruin mundane housekeeping tasks for him, but last year, his first year at L'Mordryn, he found comfort in tasks he knew he executed well.

Dangerously balancing two plates in his hands and a drink in the crook of his arm, Alistair navigated his way over to a free table. He set his plates down first, sipping his coffee, if you could even call it that. Alistair's 'coffee' was practically milk with a couple shots of coffee. He hated the bitter taste, but could use the small boost of energy in the morning to get him going. It was better for him to not have too much caffeine, unless he wanted to be bouncing off the walls all day. Settling in to his seat with forty five minutes left until his first class, he was already making quick work of his breakfast.

As Ives exited the bathroom, Gambino was already waiting outside. He sat stiffly, staring intensely at the door. Upon seeing his summoner, Ives could almost swear he was staring daggers at him. When he'd first woken up, Gambino was still asleep on his bed, and Ives had elected to not wake him up. Obviously, Gambino didn't appreciate the sentiment, evident in the subtle concern in Gambino's red eyes.

While Gambino wasn't a fan of other people, he clearly adored Ives. His frustration at being left in Ives' room didn't come from a need for reassurance, it was more caused by worry. Ives had been up late the past couple of nights despite Gambino's attempts to get him to rest more. In a way, they both took care of each other, both needed each other in the way that a child needed a mother's attention. While their relationship was far from desirable at the beginning, they'd come a long way. Gambino was the one being that Ives could really let himself relax around, finding it almost easier to drop the formalities around him.

Ives scandalized Gambino with a rough rumple on his head, knocking his horn-like ears back and forth. "No late night tonight if I can help it. For now, let's get to breakfast and do something about that scowl of yours."

Satisfied with his appearance, Ives moved around Gambino, throwing an almost cheeky half-smile over his shoulder, as if asking him what was taking him so long. Ives was a naturally fast walker, so the commute to the cafeteria didn't take long. As he always did, Ives was aware of the berth the students gave him and Gambino. It was ill-founded, as even though Gambino had a short temper and a dislike for strangers, Ives had trained the habit of snapping at people out of him as soon as he trained the habit of chewing on him out of him. He wrinkled his nose subconsciously at the people who muttered at Gambino. Gambino couldn't seem to care less as he took advantage of the extra space, letting his long limbs stretch properly.

Breakfast for Ives was light as usual. He stacked a pair of waffles with syrup and tossed a couple pieces of sausage to Gambino. Gambino didn't need to eat, but enjoyed participating with Ives. Besides, he seemed to like the taste of sausage. He grabbed a bowl of yogurt topped with granola, strawberries, blueberries, and sliced bananas, and a cup of black coffee. He picked out a table towards the side of the room away from most of the foot traffic.

Albus Winterhold

It was a cool day, nothing too bad really. Albus still wasn't the biggest fan of the cold though. Oh well, he had a sneaking suspicion he should take a little bit to get to the breakfast hall. He'd probably have to wait a bit anyhow but... His stomach was getting a little grumbly. He needed a little something at least. He was amongst the groups of students that were heading to breakfast so he took a look around. Out of the corner of his eye though, he caught something tempting. There was a mousy looking girl with a tub of cookies or something. From a quick glance at her pendant, he was able to peg her as someone from House Machina. That didn't matter though, as Albus had one real thing on his mind at this point...

"Hey there you cutie." The trap said with as kind a smile as he could muster. The girl was taken aback, though Albus couldn't tell if it was because he called her a cutie or because he slide right alongside her. "Make some cookies for some friends this morning or something?" The girl seemed to want to say something but hesitated. "Hmm? Cat got your tongue?"

Finally seeming to find her voice, the girl spoke up. "No-not quite. My... Friends... told me to make them some snacks today. They kinda just didn't give me a chance to turn it down either so..." She seemed to want to be quite done with this conversation but Albus wouldn't back down here.

"Huh. They sound like a couple of asses to me so I dunno." Albus responded, not quite sure why she'd want to hang around that. "It can't be healthy to hang around with that sort of thing. They sound like a couple of spoiled nobles that don't know basic human compassion."

The girl seemed a bit irked at that, as if she was being told something she obviously already knew. "They're the only people I know... The only people that I can hang around with. I bet a pretty girl like you doesn't have any trouble making friends." She grumbled and giving Albus an annoyed look.

Albus could only laugh at that. "Nyahahaha! I mean. You're sort of right. I make a lot of friends, but I'm nothing like a pretty girl at all. Actually, you could say I'm almost the exact opposite." He admitted, though stayed cryptic.

"What? No matter how I look at you, you're a pretty girl."

Albus gave her a sly little smile, "That's where you're wrong, kiddo. I'm assuming you're a Tyro, eh? My name is Albus and I'm president of the Culinary Club. I'm sort of famous for the wrong thing." Albus popped the tub open quickly and snuck a cookie out, not that the girl really gave much of a complaint. Not for lack of want, but she couldn't find the words. "Mmm, these cookies are good. Come join the Culinary Club if you haven't got your three clubs filled out yet. What's your name?"

Still slightly wary, the girl hesitantly gave her name. "Bianca." She replied.

"Ahh, good, good. A cute name to go with a cute face. Hair's a bit drab but that can be fixed. Anyhow, I suggest not giving those people those cookies and finding some other group to eat with. If you want to join our Culinary Club the doors are open. We meet..." Albus gave a brief explanation of the time and place they met before stealing a couple more cookies and running on ahead.

Evangeline Lindall

Evangeline wasn't aware of how much force she put into her jumping hug. A product of her being perpetually sleepy perhaps. "Not PANNED cakes. Pancakes! It's a subtle but major difference... Ah!! But, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to knock you over like in one of mom's romance novels!" She added something wholly unnecessary. She stood up and tried to help Nettle to her feet. As she tried, she noticed Livia apologizing on her behalf. "I can apologize for myself Livi!" The girl complained. Geez, just because she was a bit of a runt it didn't mean her and mom had to always treat Eva like a small child... Not that Eva really realized she acted just like one too.

Then she looked to the person that was at their door. Max was his name and rudeness seemed to be his game! Well, that was the feeling Eva got from him. He couldn't be all that bad a person since he decided to join her wonderful Cute and Fluffy club after all! Since Nettle was on her feet now, Eva hopped to the front door and stood with her legs out wide and her hands on her hips. "Indeed we are Mr. Maxwell!" The girl added, seeming proud to inform him of something and using something that completely wasn't his name because it sounded more official.

"I've witnessed something amazing the other day and want everyone to keep a vigilante eye out for something... So if you see anyone I won't see let them know to meet up in the club room later!" Done with that, she gave him a pretty perfect soldier's salute before turning to her sister and Nettle again as she assumed Max and his lonerish personality would just leave.

Now that she had informed Max, hopefully he'd spread the news and she would as well of course. "I'm ready for food now." She seemed excited, though her eyes drooped slightly before she gave a big yawn and she massaged her face. "Maybe it will wake me up a bit for the first class of the day. I wish they had that tea mom brewed up that one time. You know, the one where I was filled with energy?"

Yes... that was a dreadful day in the Lindall household. Eva was practically bouncing off the walls and more than a couple of cups were broke. "Let's never let her drink that concoction ever again, Livia... Promise me you'll not let me ever do that again." Their mother, Katherine was weak to the pleading of her young and adorable daughter, but that day was known as Ragnarok between Livia and her adoptive mother. The words would ring in Livia's mind.

Eric Williams
Phantasma Dorms

Wake up. The time is now seven o'clock.

Eric, still not quite awake, rolls over in bed with a slight moan; having stayed up a little too late the night before. "Awake." The young man says with a groan, one hand making a shooing motion to the incorporeal "raven" perched at the end of his bed. Get up. If you do not start your morning routine now, you will be late for class. "Verticality can wait five more minutes..." Eric says blearily, almost instantly regretting his decision as hard and painful memories are forced to the front of his mind.

Bolting upright with a short gasp, Eric takes a number of deep breaths before managing to smooth the wild look on his face back into it's usual impassive mask. With one last deep breath, the young man calms and focuses his mind. That wasn't necessary. It was. You now have too much adrenaline in your system to go back to sleep. No other method has proven to be as reliable. So I get to relive finding my mother's corpse every time I can't get up in time? Yes. The demon replies with infuriating simplicity.

"Fucker." Eric retorts under his breath. This wasn't the first time they'd had this conversation he mused and somehow, he doubted it would be the last. Grabbing a fresh set of clothes and heading for the bathroom, Eric notes that Ives and Max have already headed out. Of the two, Eric figured Max to be both the bigger asset and the bigger threat. While his combat aptitude was nothing to sneer at, Max's personality was enough to make anyone hesitant about trying to get close to him. A straight forward approach seemed like the best option, but that would leave himself open to betrayal. This was just a possibility Eric was going to have to deal with regardless of who he was recruiting, but a single misstep against Max would likely prove fatal.

Quickly freshening up Eric puts on his clean clothes, making sure to loosely tie his tie as to not look too formal. Upon returning to his room, Eric belts on his Estoc before throwing a black long coat over his shoulders. His ghostly raven perches on his left one, the edges of it's form blurring as Eric makes his way to the Cafeteria.

With a free breakfast in her belly, courtesy of her gullible friend, Sazel ran across the school campus, not having to worry about going to the cafeteria at all (though typically she would totally double dip), the metal accessories of her clothes chimed almost announcing the incoming disaster magnet as she moved quickly, truth was, she was late, not for any class, but to deliver an assignment for the chronicle club. Her one hope was to intercept Sir Geldwin between classes, which was possible, she was born in the frontiers (in a well-off castle, yes, but still) and she knew how to hunt something down.

Suddenly, she saw a sea of red... "Apples?" was all she could say, the momentum wouldn't allow her to stop, before she could see, she was tripping on apples, falling on the ground. Thankfully, this was just what she needed to do to catch the attention of the teacher, who was moving towards his class. She rolled on the floor for way too long before getting up.

"Sir Geldwin! Here! I got the text!" she waved a stack of papers on her hand, and approached the teacher.

For this week's chronicle club report, each student was working on some historical figure of their own homeland. For Sazel the obvious choice would be Aiste Turaida, the unifier of the realm and military genius, instead, she went with Juta Medzit, one of the most important ladies of one of the oldest noble families there were, which was in part thanks to Juta and her neutrality policy when Aiste was conquering many of her neighbors, and there was indeed a 'cool' factor in the fact she was the one lord to not bend the knee or be conquered or the way her mentality helped her family to survive centuries past the conqueror's own. Sazel reasons were not as reasonable, simply put, Juta was a Bestia summoner, just like Sazel, nothing but pure bias.

The article was still exemplary, albeit late. Much like everything Sazel did. As she approached to deliver the teacher work, she noticed he was carrying something of his own, and it was outside the folder he typically kept his things. It seemed to depict a student, but not one she knew. Naturally curious, Sazel questioned it "Oh, who is that? She looks cool..."

Nettle

The moment was short-lived as Evangeline promptly apologized in her unique manner before helping her back onto her feet.

"Hhthere is no problems. I am unharmed and..." She opened her bag, scanning over her various tools and samples amongst other things of great variety. "My hitems are intact. Hyes... No problems."

"Good morning as well, Nettle. I apologize on my sisters behalf. Perhaps breakfast would be good for the three of us?" Nettle observed the brief discourse between Livia and Eva regarding her apology, her deep green eyes drifting over to Eva then back to Livia once more. Eva added that she was ready for food as well.

"Hyes... It is hgood. I shall come and partake in breakfast with you both." Nettle turned to depart from the their dorm only to see Max standing out at the hall during his exchange with Evangeline. She didn't note him as he was another face among many but seeing as they passed each other often in these dorm halls he had always struck her as being rather tense. Nothing stood out too strongly but he rarely seemed at ease.

_
When the other two were ready to make their way down to the cafeteria she joined them, following along until a student she didn't recognize approached her. He complained that her companion Nidhogen had left too many apples about the place. Given how many apples were scattered about the hall they were currently in that certainly explained their unusual proliferation. Her mild expression unchanged by this sudden quandary she was posed she brought her left hand up, folding her right arm under the other to support it while she tapped the side of her jaw in contemplation. Looking up her eyes drifted from the left to the right and slowly back again, searching through her brain as she considered the possible solutions to this issue.

"Hh-I shall only be a moment." She looked to Livia and Eva, addressing them before turning her focus back over to the apples in the hallway. Putting her hands together, her fingers lacing over one another at the ends, she closed her eyes and concentrated.

Oublex, The Teeming Spirit, please heed this call...

The air before her seemed to shift, some evanescent force manifesting just barely beyond the scope of human sight. Like transparent smoke filtering into a bottle it coalesced into a singular mass. Dropping onto the floor from only inches above was a small torrent of worms. It was as though they were dripping through reality itself as they manifested in endless droves. Instead of spilling away from each other however these writhing invertebrates seemed to form up, held together by this unseen mold imposed by the force creating them. The rate at which these worms were manifested into reality escalated unto a point where the tower they were forming seemed to surge up into a singular trunk. Once this mass reached a total height of ten feet with a respectable diameter of six feet this small tower of writhing strands ceased to grow.

The mound shuddered as three deep depressions formed along the surface facing Nettle. Two were circular forms meant to depict eye sockets while a deep crease formed what were meant to be lips. It bent forward as though to look down upon she who summoned it.

_
<"Wwhhyy hhaass thoouu ssuummoonneed mmee?"> It spoke in a deep, booming voice that seemed to echo from far deeper within this living mound than would be physically possible. Each word was slow and labored as it's weighty lips bent to pronounce them. It spoke solely in Nettle's native tongue, it's deep powerful tones heaving with the heavy abundance of H's.

<"Oublex, The Teeming Spirit, I humbly offer this feast of apples to you."> She spoke, her words rife with wispy breaths as per the nature of her native language. The mound, every inch of it's body constantly writhing with it's swarm, stood silent as though judging her words for a solid few seconds.

<"Yyoouu sspeeaak ooff ooffeerrss buut I hheeaarr aa rreequueesst.>"

<"It can be both. Do you accept this bounty of fruit?"> After that it took another moment or two as it considered her offer.

<"Iit iiss aadeequuaate."> With that it finally took motion. The quivering mound flattened out lengthwise, rearranging it's form into a long worm shaped mass of smaller worms. Stretching out a fair distance it continued until it was about as about a couple feet in diameter. Now in it's more mobile shape it started to crawl down the length of the hall, it's shuddering body undulating across the smooth stone floor. As it went it sowed worms about the hall, little strands cast off from it's body at the numerous apples which littered the hall. The worms it scattered along it's path crawled upon the littered fruit, getting to work on eating their way through it. Oublex would follow the trail of apples left in Nidhogen's wake, scattering it's swarm about to better feast upon the fruit the other summon had left.

With that finished Nettle set off to catch up with her two dorm-mates. The three made it to the cafeteria before long.

Another teacher had been scolding the Nidhogan. After a number of students complained about their 'breakfast' a proctor and a teacher were scolding the massive summon. It saw the red in them but slumped its shoulders and 'tried' to look sorry. It didn't understand what the big deal was. Anything not eaten would be sucked back up at some point when they began to spoil. Besides it was breakfast for everyone. Still, these softbarks had weird rules. "This one wants to gift all of its friends. But promised the Nettle to not cause any trouble."

That seemed to be enough for them to get them off his case and so he shoke his head and summoned some of his smaller friends to help. Little Weasel like things slithered and fell out of him. The critters snuck up on the apples as if they were stalking rats... and then lunged, began to eat them ravenously.

Nidhogen looked on, satisfied with his work, watching his little friends eat the bits of fruit and leaving the fresh cores for Nidhogen to enjoy, snakey vines slithering out from underneath its face to snake them back up, the seeds being repurposed on its shoulders and back to add to the foilage of leaves. This would go on for a few more minutes, until all of a sudden the little wooden weasels would hiss and snap at a profusion of wiggling worms that tried to compete with them over their quarry. The Nidhogen was confused by this for a moment before it remembered the swarm summon Nettle had once used to chew through a particularly dense and dead thicket back in the swamp, the Nidhogen following its friend in a smaller and much weaker form. Its arms and shoulders bloomed with flowers. The day din't truly start until he was with the Nettle, following her about her day and attempting in its own way to help her out.

While worm and weasel fought over apples, Nidhogen left them to begin its search, the stumble and trip of a student catching its attention. She was a strangely colorful one. Her current emotions made her shine a beacon of green, yellow, with splashes of red, purple. It was the colors of excitement, mystery, wonder, and determination. Nidhogan felt compelled to follow her, its loose form contracting into a size better suited for walking the academy halls on its lumbering limbs, merely being eight feet at the shoulder, just enough to fit in doors and under archways with only a few panels of bark to shift and not hurt anything. Its head was generally the hardest to move into a doorway.

Sazel would announce her accomplishments to one of the teachers just as Nidhogen caught up. By this point the teachers knew very well the thing that now lived in their courtyard and knew it meant well in its strange way so seeing it follow a student by mere curiosity was not an uncommon occurrence. When Sazel suddenly flashed with Yellow and shades of red giving her an orange glow, Nidhogen approached, also wanting to see what she discovered. It wasn't sneaky in this form by any stretch of imagination but any disturbance would have been ignored as it also looked at the picture Sazel had spotted. Sazel said cool. "And pretty. Her bark is such a healthy shade of brown." Said the wooden giant in an almost girlish tone.

He bowed his singular eye down in a bow. "Very good madame. I've laid out your garments for the day. If there is nothing else I will be off. Today is the day clubs can make their requisitions for new projects. I will probably need to explain to each what can and cannot be provided." The future tech club has requested a Hadron Collider in the past while another has looked into an alternate universe and requested a miniature pentrose sphere around a micro black-hole. Both have been denied due to reasons of cost and unacceptable risk.

He gave his mistress a final bow before leaving her bedroom to assure that her lunch was prepared and able, along with her effects for the day. Everything exact, perfect to her specifications and sometimes even predicting her mood based upon the patterns she displays. Its a labor of love as he very much appreciates their chats at the end of day, the occasional game or experiment. Truly wise, though lonely. Something Cogsworth does not have the functions to rectify. Her late husband's potrait still stands on the wall.

By the time Cogsworth is able to leave, the printer in the room finishes making the physical copies. Due to various security issues inside the computer networks that rambunctious Machina House student love to attempt to break into just cause they can. Its been determined that paper (while able to be altered via magic) is the safest medium, particularly when properly stored via magic and no magical means.

He taps the papers together and sets off, a stack in his arms. He greets every student he sees with a good morning, reminding them of assignments and particular abnormalities of their day to day schedules, his advanced systems already having every students profile, summons, and schedule backed up in memory banks.

The robot in fine vestments, tall, slender, none threatening save the tentacles on its back recoiled for lack of use, and a big green eye turned a corner to suddenly come face to face with a being he did not recognize, not immediately anyway. The girl looked human, purple hair, skin, internal organs, its when he determined her to be a breed of lesser dragon. Maybe polymorphed, maybe just containing draconian blood. Scanning complete. "Mame, you are human enough in appearance to have to adhere to the dress code of the other students. Where is you summoner?"

A quick scan saw a new student. "Master Lorcan Brigh." The robot said passing the summon and approaching him. "Welcome to L'Mordryn. I am the school Curator, Cogsworth. May your time here be educational and productive. You are new so I will overlook the rules this time." The assumption came from the exact magical signature that connected summoner to summon which Cogsworth could detect, namely to track down a summoner that used their summon for misdeeds. "The madame here is 94% resembling a human girl and is showing off 74% of their skin. This is outside of school dress code regulations. Please provide the madame a jacket or some kind of covering at your next convenience, less she distract others."

He did bow his head in a late greeting and changed gears. "Aside, I am here to serve students and faculty. If you have any questions I'd be more then happy to assist with any inquiry."

6th Floor, Dorm room 5, House Dracona -> Campus
@Pyromania99

Running into the shower, Isobel quickly disrobed and got into the shower, Ciervia stretching in the middle of the bathroom before starting to groom himself. He didn't even bat an eye at Cera, merely watched curiously as she went about with her prank of flushing the toilet.

"Gah!? DARCY YOU BITCH!" Isobel shouted, freezing cold water replacing the scalding hot water she had been using to wash herself with. The pygmy drake replied with a small chirrup of laughter, and otherwise did nothing in response. Meh, whatever! A little cold water wasn't going to dampen her spirits! Nay, something else might but certainly not a little prank! Finishing her wash, Isobel stepped out of the shower, quickly scooping up her usual dress and suiting up. The longest thing she had to take care of, by far, was her hair, and she normally would have spent a little longer on it but she had to hurry.

"Come on frost butt, breakfast time!" Dashing out of the dorm with Ciervia still clinging for dear life to her shoulders, Isobel left the dorm room, Darcy having already been pretty far ahead of her for her to get her sweet revenge. Instead she focused on getting out of there - before nearly running into another Dracona student. She didn't let it stop her. Once she had successfully managed to get her feet on solid earth, Isobel brought her fingers to her mouth - making a sharp, loud whistle.

"OI! Grarves!" The land dragons loud, hoarse call quickly filled the area as Isobel pulled her trusty land steed through the realms, the rather clumsy dragon appearing a few feet above the ground, falling, and then rolling over, tongue sticking out of its mouth. "Bwahaah, sorry boy! No time for belly rubs!" Isobel laughed. "Come on! Find Albus! Come on boy!"

"Bwark!" Grarves rolled over back onto all fours. Shaking off some sand from his body, sniffing the air and pointing his nose in a direction, giving a few more hoarse vocalizations, wagging his tail energetically as Isobel leaped on top of him. The first thing Albus would feel, was the ground shaking lightly from the sheer weight of Grarves. The next instant, he'd find himself being tackled and almost knocked over as the massive dragon began licking his face.

"Wahaha, morning Albus! You thought I was gonna be late, didn't ya?" Isobel grinned, hopping off her steed. Ciervia gave a little chirrup of acknowledgement to the other Dracona, but for the most part kept to himself.

Cafeteria
@Pyromania99@A Lowly Wretch

At the mention of this energy drink, Livia's eyes widened slightly. Oh sweet merciful death. She remembered the day clearly. The Lindall household was never going to be the same after that. Oh the dear sweet innocent books that were harmed! Katherine's Dolls got the worst of it! She was almost unable to keep up herself, in fact, she was pretty sure she might have in fact, died once.

"...ahem, maybe my sister." Livia replied calmly, shoving the thoughts out of her head. "We don't have any of it here, as far as I am aware." Livia didn't want to crush her sister spirit, so this was an acceptable response for now. If she did find some...well, she could have Sio take care of it. Though knowing the ghost, she might just give it to Eva for giggles.

After a brief detour by Nettle where it seemed like she had to deal with one of her summons, the three finally made their way to the cafeteria. A lively place, that Livia wasn't particularly fond of. If she could take meals in her room, she normally did. Hard to study with all of this racket going on around her, not to mention potential interruptions from a summoners creature. Sighing lightly Livia stacked her breakfast plate lightly as she normally did. An apple, toast, some eggs, and a handful of blue berries with some tea.

"So how goes your summons, Nettle?" Livia questioned. "Trouble with yours this morning?"

Albus Winterhold

Albus was walking along the path to the breakfast hall, taking his time. Isobel was terrible about doing things on time in the morning. So he slipped half a cookie into his mouth when he heard, or rather felt, thumping on the ground. When he turned around, he felt a large body lightly tackle into him. Nothing to completely knock him over, but he was pretty good with balance anyhow, she it was a bit of a pushback. Then he felt a tongue over his face. A very familiar one. It even ran over the cookie a little bit too. He took the cookie out of his mouth with a hand so it didn't get any more stray licks and he could speak. "Geez, Grarves! You don't have to lick me so much. You might make the lady a bit jealous of you." He added, always trying to tease Isobel where he could.

Albus smiled back at Isobel as she jumped off her dragon steed. "I mean, I didn't think you were going to be late. I knew it." The Dracona boy said with a slight wink. "That's why I was taking it nice and slow, even got a new girl for the Culinary Club." He added. He looked at the cookies in his hand and made a note of which had been licked by Grarves. "Ahh, Isobel, did you want a cookie? I don't remember which one was in my mouth but you don't really mind do you? It's a good cookie made by that perspective member."

Evangeline Lindall

Eva figured Nettle could take care of herself and catch up with them quickly. Finally, they showed up for breakfast! The Holy Land of food! Of course, Eva might need a hand or two extra. As Livia headed inside with Nettle, Eva hide back a little. "Alright! Floofel! Come here!" To her side, a flat layer of light appeared and a fluffy person shape with features of a moth came stepping out.

"Ahh, Miss Evangeline. Good morning." Floofel said with a light bow.

Evangeline smiled and jumped into the Fairy's arms. "Morning Floofel! I was wondering if you could help me out with getting breakfast together. Have you ate yet?"

The Moth Fairy shook her head. "I have not. You just needed help carrying stuff over to your table after you get it together don't you?" Evangeline closed her lips tightly and looked off to the side. "Which is fine, I've said I would help you after all." Floofel added, patting Evangeline's head. "Lead on Miss."

Excited, Evangeline took Floofel by the hand and took her in. Breakfast always had the most fun foods! First off, Pancakes! She needed to show off to Nettle the wonderful food known as Pancakes. She got five rather thin ones and spread a bit of peanut butter between each layer and on the top. After that, she poured syrup over them and to top it all, she put a small helping of whipped cream on top with a strawberry nestled on top of that. That filled up one plate and she planned to share those with Floofel. Moth Fairies rather enjoyed sweet things so the whipped cream made it more interesting.

On a second plate, she gathered all her secondary parts of breakfast. First was the bacon. She used her cuteness to make sure she got the nice crispy pieces of bacon. (And some more pieces than she really should have got.) She sprinkled a little bit of pepper over them and made sure to have a little bit of syrup in a small dipping bowl. To add to her breakfast meat, she got three sausage patties sitting right next to the bacon. The syrup in this case, was for dipping the bacon but mostly the sausage in the syrup.

Lastly, there was a small plate with Hash Browns on them. These were the items least messed with. She salt and peppered them a bit but there was more than enough for her. Floofel, for herself, took a small bowl of mixed fruits. These were her favorite things to eat. With their small collection of foods, Evangeline and Floofel took to the seats that Livia and Nettle had already acquired. They set the plates down on open spots of the table, somehow Floofel had even managed to carry two glasses of water over for them despite having her hands full. She was very maid like when it came to this sort of thing.

Eva wasn't sure what Livia and Nettle were talking about but took a bite from her pancakes and gave an ecstatic squeal of "Try it Floofel!"

Eva cut into the pancakes and handed a bit up to the Fairy who had yet to take a seat. Not wanting to disappoint Evangeline, Floofel took a bite and chewed before swallowing it. She had a happy face that wasn't quite Eva's level. "Ooh, you're right. They're very good. Keep eating and it'll make you stronger." With that done, she looked to Nettle and Livia. "Good Morning, Miss Livia. Miss Nettle. Please pardon my presence." She gave them a bow and then seated herself.

-Cogsworth vs. the Forces of Nudity-
@ShwiggityShwah
Penjani practically leapt from her skin as she rounded the corner, nearly colliding with a metal automaton, his dapper dress doing little to hide the tentacles which curled behind it. A silent squeal escaped her, though only experience with the mute little dragon girl clued Lorcan in on that little outburst, and she ducked behind her summoner quickly to hide clinging tightly to the back of his jacket. Lorcan repressed a sigh, Penjani was great company, but he'd be lying if he said her meekness wasn't vicariously embarrassing at times. Normally he'd hushedly remind her of his standing and image, warning enough to usually get the dragon at least stone faced enough to stand at his side subserviently while he spoke. But pleasantries, even with a robot, demanded a more immediate response on his part.

"Cogsworth, it is a distinct pleasure to meet you." He said calmly, his smile polished and warm but as plastic and fake as the Curator's. While he could understand the Curator's need to enforce the rules, the robot had made a simple mistake that would not be allowed to stand. He'd made a demand of a Brigh. And a Brigh, no matter the situation, did not yield to demands. They made them. A lesson he was more than happy to remind the tinman of. As politely as possible of course; A Brigh did not show their anger afterall.

"While I appreciate the word of warning, I'm afraid I must decline your request at this time." He says simply, enjoying the slight shift he felt along his back as said Dragon peeked out from behind him to stare daggers at Cogsworth. "Not out any sense of rebellion on my part though." He adds, almost too diplomatically. "As a dragon, she can be exceptionally stubborn. She simply refuses to wear more out of preference, and super imposing my will over a summon over such a trivial matter would be disrespectful to their service. And as my personal aid, I am ill inclined to do such a thing." He explains, needlessly of course. Most people who WEREN'T invokers knew how prideful dragons were. That Penjani was an exception to this rule wasn't something Cogsworth needed to know. Just because she WOULD dress more conservatively if he ordered her to did not mean he would.

"I will speak to her on this matter privately and see what can be done." He adds, his smile taking on a hint of arrogance as he threw any intention of doing such straight into the dirt where it belonged. "However, beyond that I can promise nothing." He returns the small bow Cogsworth gave earlier, Penjani being lifted up as she continued to cling about his waist and glaring at Cogsworth with uncharacteristic sense of hostility.

"Still, I am glad to have run into you. Saves me the trouble." He says quickly, not wanting to give Cogsworth a chance to immediately rebut his denials. "I'd like to make two small requests of you. Firstly, my driver is at the gates. Please see to his comfort and inform him he is to rest a day before returning to town. Naturally I will pay for any fees his accommodation requires." He says, voice now a little softer, if only for the benefit of his drivers comfort. It helped, though it was probably hard to miss that it was worded as less a request than an order. Albeit one that would make L'mordryn look to be poor host if they refused.

"Secondly, and more pressingly. I require the collective assignments and reading materials presented in my classes up to this date. While my tutors assure me that they've maintained as close a parallel to the lesson plans as possible, it would be an insult to not make sure personally. You would have my personal gratitude if those materials were to be delivered to my dorm by this evening." He said cheerily, voice sweet and promising in a way that only came with years of practice.

@Pyromania99@Rune_Alchemist@A Lowly Wretch
Odhra walked carefully through the cafeteria like a bomb was about to go off. Not that he was nervous or anything, it was just that after the first few months at school, after people got to know him, meal times were...well, difficult wasn't the right word. He'd never had problems, but more than a few people were on constant high alert around him for some reason. He could see it in the way their bodies tensed as he'd pass them, or the faint look of misplaced terror as one of his babies skittered behind him. Today it was Snuggles, whose talons clacked loudly behind him as he walked to the counter to grab his normal meal, occasionally turning to examine a few students who probably smelled like enticing meals of their own, 'licking' her mandibles eagerly before finally following Odhra.

Arriving at the counter Odhra quickly snapped up his breakfast for the morning...well, most mornings really. Him standing behind people tended to make them nervous so any high demand item was kind of out of the question, least he encite another queue stampede. Cogsworth had really given him an earful about that one! So, the less desirable items were the best choice. Simple porridge with a small dusting of brown sugar and salt, a grapefruit, and a single strip of limp slightly under cooked bacon (a rare treat!) would work for today.

For him, it was a big meal. Being ill for so long had played hell with his appetite and it was always an effort to try and keep his calorie count up. He groaned quietly as his stomach already began to roll violently at the thought of haing to finish it all; a young man near him taking the outburst as a warning and snapping back down into his seat as his friends shot him a strange look before spying Odhra and nodding sympathetically.

Deciding he should get out of the way before anything that required his services managed to break out, Odhra quickly and carefully scanned the crowd before moving to his normal sitting area. Which was to say, at Livia's flank and across from Eva, Floofel and Nettle. "Good morning everyone!" He chirped as he sat down, nodding at the three politely. Eva was...a friend he guessed? They both went to the Cute and Fluffy Club, and he was hard pressed to say he didn't like all of the things she had submitted for review. The fact that 90% was just Floofel doing something mundane or that he liked pretty much everything that was submitted to the club for review maybe weakened the assertion a bit.

Livia and Nettle though, those two were a lot easier to put in the friend category. Nettle was about the only normal person he'd meet at the school and at least seemed to appreciate his choice in summons, at least as much as someone raised in a swamp could. She was kind of too focused on studying at times, but Odhra wasn't about to fault someone for passion. Plus, she could make some of the best anti-venoms he'd ever seen. Or used for that matter.

Livia was just easy to talk to. She had that cool older sibling air that said they weren't paying attention to what you were saying but totally listening the whole time. She was, frankly, a blessed outlet of conversation (however onesided) in a sea of otherwise way too easily freaked out people.

Looking at Eva's breakfeast of choice brought Odhra out of his musings. "Eva..." He scolded weakly, looking over the pile of sugar and fats. "You're going to stunt your growth if you don't eat a more varied diet." He warned, not for the first time, as he cut in grapefruit in two and shooting Floofel a pleading look. "Please make sure she had at least a little fruit. Hold any cute actions hostage if you need to..." He ordered to the moth in question his tone only half joking, knowing full well there was very little the moth could do that Eva wouldn't find cute. But trusting the moth-maid to do the task all the same, if not for his benefit than for her diminutive masters.

Nettle

Having arrived to the cafeteria alongside her two roommates she made her way down to the stalls no faster nor slower than her company had. Her selection of breakfast included a nice mild soup of mixed vegetables and meager cubes of cooked beef which was paired with a nice cup of boiling water. While neither of these choices were all too stunning for their flavor profile on their own Nettle had purpose in picking the more bland choices for her meal.

While Nettle's hands were steady like a surgeon's her gait was a little off-set by the heaviness of her boots. Her teetering back and forth to the sway of her steps started the fluids set upon her tray to wobble with her rhythm. Eventually this culminated in a small portion of the soup slipping past the bowl's edge and landing squarely on one of her thumbs which was securing the tray to her hand. While the soup was hot enough to be at a boil her reaction to the substance running down the side of her thumb towards her wrist was borderline non-existent. The only real acknowledgement Nettle gave this incident was when she finally sat down, setting her tray upon the table with the remainder of her breakfast choices still in their containers, where she lifted her now unoccupied hand to her face. She ran her tongue up the wrist to the tip of the thumb, licking up the spilt soup which had definitely scalded her hand to a degree. While it wasn't apparent she did feel the burn it gave her. It was just the matter that such pain was of paltry concern to her. Pain was meant to be a warning sent by the body to let it's host know something was wrong. She knew the cause of the pain. Hence, it was unnecessary.

"So how goes your summons, Nettle? Trouble with yours this morning?" Livia asked, sitting across from her. Nettle shook her head simply, most of the long hair which hung down her back swishing gently with the motion while her bangs remained piled upon her lap.

"Hhh... Hno trouble. H-A student asked for a solution and I hh... Provided one." Nettle always put a fair amount of thought into her words, her speech deliberate if somewhat halting. While she was rare to misspeak she was somewhat open to getting interrupted by more chatty students. 'Twas just one of many challenges provided by life within the academy.

As she spoke Nettle had reached into her bag and produced a few items from it without breaking eye contact with Livia. A couple wooden containers which mildly resembled pepper shakers and a tea bag were set in front of her, just before the soup and hot water. Glancing over to Eva as she returned with her bounty from the breakfast stands she dipped the tea bag in the boiling water. Letting the tea steep she opened one of her spice containers and took a pinch from within, sprinkling the herbal ingredient into her soup without taking her attention away from Eva and the dessert she called breakfast. Once a proper amount of the first spice was added she started applying her second ingredient into her soup.

_
"Good Morning, Miss Livia. Miss Nettle. Please pardon my presence."

"Good morning... Hh... Floofel." Another subject of Eva's naming conventions this summon was. She held no objections to it but she had wondered what the summon itself felt on the matter. She contemplated this as she finished applying her spices to the soup.

"Hhh... If I hmay ask, what did you call yourself before Eva hsummoned you?" She asked the moth fairy largely out of curiosity. While looking to her summon as she awaited her answer she idly stirred her soup with a spoon, mixing the ingredients together so it was properly diffused throughout the solution. With her opposite hand she gently fanned a portion of the steam rising from her tea cup to gauge how far along the tea had brewed.

"Good morning everyone!" Odhra chimed as he came up to their table, taking his seat by Livia.

"Hhh... Good morning Odhra." She recognized him from her second session class. He had a particular interest in medicine as well as the arachnida class of arthropods. Much beyond that she couldn't say. Turning her attention back to the moth fairy she lifted her spoon up and gently sipped the stock. The spice provided a nice simmering heat with notes of a savory sweetness to the flavor. Of course what was a pleasant heat for Nettle was in fact so spicy for most other creatures that it could potentially kill were another to try even a sip. Given her body's natural anti-toxin measures the effects of this spice were highly muted to her so she was able to appreciate the other facets of spices normally untouched by others on account of their lethality.

Quite early into her tyro year her fellow students learned quite well not to steal any food spiced by her. The incident where this came to light involved a summon who had stolen a food item from her plate and collapsed shortly after as it's airway seized shut. The staff managed to resuscitate it after it's summoner got it to the medical ward but the event still sent a clear message to the rest of the student body. She was lucky to have fairly accepting dorm-mates to sit by since most students typically gave her some distance wherever she sat during mealtimes.

Late? She was never late! Well. If she said she was gonna do something she did it! And what the hell was this nonsense about which cookie being in her mouth!

"The hell are you on about, you dummy!" Isobel lightly whacked the top of Albus' head as he offered her the cookie. "Why would I want a cookie that was in your mouth?" That said...well, she didn't mind a cookie every now and then. Wouldn't go well with her physical fitness routine this early of a morning but...well..."Gimme that."

She swiped one of the cookies from Albus, grabbing Grarves by the side of his head and pulling him slightly away from Albus. The land dragon laid on the ground next to them, panting, tail playfully wagging as his head turned and swiveled about, taking note of everything around him.

""So uh, we still on for this morning?" She took the cookie and stuffed it into a pocket for now. Carefully, into a pocket. So it wouldn't get crushed.

...well that hadn't been the response she had been digging for, but Livia was used to dealing with Nettles...eccentricities. As much as it infuriated her, the swamp dweller was certainly skilled. She had been hoping to hear of some potential problem, but it seemed as though her summons was simply being as weird as she was.

"I see, well that is good-" Her eyes fell to Eva's plate, and the former noble's shoulders slumped lightly as she pursed her lips, a thin frown forming on her face. She was glad she wasn't the only one thinking of such things either. Odhra - a curious existence Livia couldn't help but to find somewhat curious. He was tolerable to be around, at least. "Honestly Eva...Odhra is right. You should try eating something a bit more balanced." Though she said it, she didn't seem overly concerned with doing something about it immediately. Instead she turned to her own food, giving a small greeting to Floofel.

"Good morning, Floofel." Livia returned the greeting taking a sip of tea as she glanced over to Nettle. "Hmm...Floofel here is a bit like Siobahn, Nettle. Her name is quite...difficult, if nor impossible for humans to pronounce. I've done a bit of research into it myself, but...'moth noises' is a little difficult to translate into proper words." Not that she hadn't tried, of course. Any amount of knowledge, no matter how small was something she was intimately interested in.

Allie Sydra

Allie had tried to pick up something balanced for her breakfast, though she did find herself unable to avoid the pancakes. She sat down at an empty table, making sure to set down on a corner of the cafeteria.

A corner was best, of course, because she could not be caught off guard by anyone. Which was, admittedly, not really an issue she was concerned with in the mornings at the school, but most of her manuals read that practicing vigilance at all times was important. When it becomes actually necessary, it will be like second nature. With her position, somebody could never-

"Huh?" Allie was startled as two others had sat down at her table. Maybe she was still waking up, to not have noticed two people coming towards her table.

Muffled from within her coat, she heard DataSec's voice. "Allie. My sensors indicate there are two approaching your table. This report is delayed due to poor sensor placement. Please relocate sensors to a more visible position to-" Allie cut her off.

"Oh. Morning." Allie fidgeted in her seat self-consciously, cutting a slice of pancake dripping with syrup. She glanced at Corona and Esther, two classmates of hers.

Allie couldn't quite understand their outfits, but she had never really considered herself much of a coordinator. 'How are her legs not cold?' she thought as she looked at Esther's dress. Though she didn't really see the need to dress as well as these two, Allie did feel somewhat self-conscious, being the outlier at the table now. 'Does it make me stand out more to NOT wear dresses like these two? Maybe mom was right...' She mulled it over as she ate her slice of pancake.

Clarence and Mort

Clarence was glad someone like him didn't tend to draw attention.

Sure, his reputation preceded him. There were plenty of people at Adept 2, plenty of talented children who'd gotten it just as fast, a few maybe faster than he had. But, there was no one else who'd gotten Adept 2 so quickly, and with his lack of skill with portals, with only a single contracted familiar. Despite not having any other familiar, having such a link with one was significant.

But, it didn't show outwardly, so he was glad. Orewing was flashy, but on a small scale. It was nothing compared to a Dragon. It was unique, but it wasn't Clarence himself that drew the attention, it was Orewing.

Competition between Invokers was sometimes a battle of who could keep their summons' secrets the longest. Theoretically, as long as any Invoker had the ability and knowledge, they could summon any familiar. Clarence's ability to open a rift wasn't that special, so if they could study Orewing and discover its origins, they'd be able to summon sentient hammers too, would be the thought.

Well, not that they'd get any real pointers from Mort. Clarence entertained the thought, though.

He would instantly become less special. Well, only to some other people, though. It'd even be convenient to not be the only sentient/possessed hammer master. Well, only to a certain extent though.

There'd be less attention on him, but if someone were to start comparing the two, the differences might become apparent, and he might get found out... Suddenly he really didn't want it to happen.

"What's wrong, Clarence?" Mort asked.

They didn't have a real link, so it wasn't as if Mort knew exactly what Clarence was thinking, but they'd been together long enough that he could tell what he was thinking at least. He could at least have a good guess most of the time. He knew that Clarence's paranoia ended up feeling too real for the boy. It was his job to snap him out of his thoughts at least.

Any of the students that would've been studying Clarence were looking at him now, or at least Clarence thought they wouldd be.

"Nothing," Clarence said quickly.

His feet were frozen in place, but he forced himself to take some steps. Suddenly, an apple rolled at his feet. He looked up to see the familiar sight of The Nidhogen, a famous familiar now, no doubt. This wasn't the first time he'd witnessed the feats on display right now. He picked up the apple which seemed to have avoided the snapple-ing. This was good, now he didn't have to go to the cafeteria.

"...I'll get you something else before they close," Mort said as he drifted from the boy's side.

Clarence was grateful. He took a bite of the apple. It was sweet.

Arkadian Elesir, and the Cat Gang!

Arkadian was half-way through his food, when suddenly Tohi and Lohi appeared at his side with a pop! It attracted the attention of the people beside him.

"Tohi! Down!" He cried desperately as she headbutted him in the side.

She tried to snuggle her head under Arkadian's arm, except her head was even bigger than his, so it was like she was ramming him in the side. Lohi was on the other side of him to stop him from being knocked over, but his seating had become a lot more cramped as a result.

Through the link they shared, Tohi and Lohi could feel his feelings. They could appear at his side when he was threatened, but they also just appeared at his side whenever they felt like it.

Arkadian managed to pull himself free from their embrace, and he fell backwards out of his chair. He managed to land on his hands, and not flat on his back at least. He lay back, panting. No doubt, for anyone watching it made a strange sight.

Arkadian had not been here very long, but he was another unusual Master to add to the pile at L'Mordryn's. His situation was somewhat unique, but not unfamiliar to many Invokers. The ones who had trouble controlling their own familiars, at least. Arkadian's familiars were so much higher in standing than he was, that it was kind of endearing.

"...Huh?" He said, after the breath returned to his lungs. "Where'd Krampus go?"

He looked around and spotted him at another table entirely. The table of Nettle.

Most knew of her, an unusual person even in a school of unusual people. Arkadian had never met her, but he saw her every so often. He also heard tales of her, and how one familiar had almost dropped dead in front of her. To Arkadian she seemed like a witch, like someone who would curse you if you wronged her somehow.

But Krampus wasn't looking specfically at Nettle, he was looking more at her soup. Krampus hardly looked at any master besides his own. Although he didn't look at his own master much either. Whatever he was planning, it couldn't be good.

"You're really gonna eat all of that? I didn't think there were any humans who could handle something like this." He chuckled.

Arkadian nearly tripped over his own feet. Krampus had been led by the nose it seemed then. Arkadian had no idea what was with the soup, but Krampus never went anywhere with good intentions. He ran for it.

"Krampus! No!" He shouted, snatching him up before his paw dipped into the girl's soup. However, just as before, his efforts were largely fruitless as Krampus' face morphed into a long proboscis-like affair and took a long sip of Nettle's broth.

"Mmmmm, now that's some good stuff right there." Krampus said, licking his lips in satisfaction. A single claw extended into the broth again, this time bringing back a cube of meat which he happily gulped down also.

Arkadian felt like crying.

"I'm s-sorry..." He whimpered, holding Krampus aloft still. He could barely move out of fear.

Tohi and Lohi walked over to his side, curious as to what was going on.

Corona enjoyed her breakfast mostly in silence, as her thoughts quickly went into her theorems and programs. She even summoned one of her bits to float around beside her. She could do it with just a thought due to her strong link with it and mastery of the summoning process itself. She needed it so that she could access the memory bank it had.

The sphere didn't give Allie any notice as it wasn't in its AI mode. As it was originally just a slave terminal to the instructions of the Mother Brain, it couldn't do or think anything on its own. However, over the years, Corona had written some rudimentary AI to it. Like "patrol" and "attack". If it were in patrol mode, it would have noticed Allie and scan her face. As it already had hers in its database of non-threats, it wouldn't do anything. However, if it were a stranger instead, it would send a message to Corona and ask to categorize the new face.

Esther on the other was a little louder on her side of the table. With a grin, she kept exclaiming how delicious the food was. Ever since she entered the Academy and got fed far more delicious and nutritious food compared to what she was used to, she had turned into quite the gourmet. Though she wasn't willing to cook herself. She just wanted to eat.

As usual, she was being a little bit careless with her dress. She would cross and uncross her legs on her seat, causing her dress to be draped further and further upwards. It didn't take long until her striped red panties became visible.

Esther finished her food first, drinking the entire remaining soup in one move. Then, with a satisfied sigh, she patted her full stomach. "Aaah, delicious as usual..." she stated with the expression of pure bliss. She then looked at Allie and asked, "Wasn't that just delicious?"

Corona finished soon after. After wiping her lips with the provided table tissue, she rose up from her seat. "Alright. Time to go, Esther." She didn't dispel her bit. She could handle walking to her class while doing computations in her mind. Her multitasking had become much better after her brain was transformed.

"Haah, I guess it is..." Esther answered. She couldn't help wanting to stay and rest a little after such a delicious meal. She stood up as well. Smiling at Allie, she said, "We have different classes, right? Good luck on yours!"

The two then left; Corona going to Sir Geldwin's class while Esther is going to Sir Kimbra's.

Allie Sydra

Though she tried to hide it, Allie's eyes quickly flashed to the bit that Corona summoned. For a split second Allie had tensed up, but she quickly relaxed. Though she knew that Corona wouldn't actually do anything like starting a fight with her, especially not in the cafeteria, Allie's mind liked to move towards what Allie could do if such an unlikely situation appeared. Under ordinary circumstances, Allie would have been searching for exit points or cover, but she had a slight burn of embarrassment as she thought about what the others at her table would think if she froze up and started looking at all of the ways out of the room. Rather than that, she changed her attention to what Esther was doing-

Allie very quickly averted her eyes after she saw something she was sure she shouldn't have. '...There are many types of courage in this world, I see...' Allie wasn't sure what to do with the red-striped information she just gained. 'Maybe it will come in handy some day...' Information was never a bad thing, but in this situation it seemed less than useful.

Allie was still at odds with what she had seen when Esther spoke up about the food. "Ah... It definitely seemed delicious." Which was the truth, from everything Allie heard Esther say about it. And the fact that it was good enough for her to forget her clothing's... issues.

The two finished before her, which didn't surprise Allie. She definitely wasn't a very fast eater, especially in the morning. She gave a shallow nod as the two bade farewell. A little bit after, she herself finished up her meal, and silently walked out of the cafeteria towards her first class.
