Xenelith

Time: Morning
Location: Roshimi City
Interaction with: Azriel@Tae, Umber@FunnyGuy, O'Ner@Eviledd1984, Jack@Alivefalling

Azriel suprised Xenelith a bit when she proposed to get the drugs anyway. Though Umber saying he could not directly participate brought him to ease. In fact, he found it interesting. Was Umber enjoying a grand buffet? Or was it more than just? The more vocal, intelligent demons were fascinating sometimes. Though quite rare. Xenelith put the street price of the drugs in amass on the table as he said: “I’m in.”

Then he leaned backward as he first watched O’Ner’s outburst and then Azriel and Umber’s explanation for the ball. The outburst did not come to a surprise to Xenelith. First times in a brothel were always strange. Your whole life you’re taught to behave or be whipped for your disobedience. You must uphold the thin veneer of civility at all times but not here. In places like these you can go as wild and burn as bright as you like. Few sins are beyond your grasp in a brothel. To first-timers the freedom becomes awkward. He watched as O’Ner moved away with a fair share of amusement. Even more so when Umber ordered several more ‘dancers’ for him. That would certainly make for an interesting bit of theatre. Either O’Ner would leave the place or embrace it. Then, they came to the subject of the ball. Azriel preferred not to dig too deeply. An understandable response. Umber did go deeper and came with some surprising theories.

“The rebels should first be smart enough to see such an event as a chance to gather power.” He said. The disdain for his foes was clear. “The enemy is young…idealistic. The girl Dionaea, I think she’s just an unfortunate victim. Either from the Princess’ manipulations or her own fantasies.” In his mind he summoned the image of the forest. The human laying in the grass. He remembered their words as he spoke. “There’s misplaced courage though. Perhaps it’s just youthful defiance. Or it is something more?” He mused, sinking deeper in his own thoughts. They took a nasty turn as he began to fiddle with the dark crystal hanging around his neck. Even now he could hear the meek whimpers of his companion. “The fox is smarter, better trained. He jumped out of the bushes like an experienced hunter. He’s armed and capable to kill. That makes him the most dangerous one of the group. The one I will kill first.” His thoughts carried him further. “There was another fairy. Male, though he had moth-like wings. He attacked from the shadows and swooped in only to save the human girl. He didn’t wield a blade, just used roots and plants. He’s a coward. An annoyance. Nothing more.” And finally, his thoughts rested on Risa. “The Princess is a fool above all. Idealistic but consumed by her own fantasies.” He chuckled. “She even told me to stop following our lord. That the coming of humans is good for everyone. Even me. When I found her she was actually healing the human we killed at the house.” Madame Uma reappeared with a bottle of some berry wine and a couple of glasses. Behind her, two girls came to set up the hookah.

Xenelith poured himself a glass and passed the bottle on. After taking a big swig of the alcohol he continued. “The only power she has is her blood.”

"Elsea, Risa: They may not need to learn anything but this world is full of dangerous creatures. You can get mad at me all you please but for their own survival, it is necessary. They really only have four options: they can listen to Aklenroth and go home, they can go and join him, they can learn to fight just for survival which at that point it is of their own choice to join our side of the war and the last choice is to go into a town and hide for the rest of their lives and hope they do not get captured." Kyran said to the group. He knew she would be willing to fight but he also knew that if humans wanted to have a lasting chance in Avalia, they would need to kill Aklenroth in this upcoming war.

"I have not been in a war myself, but I understand what could be lost. I am prepared to die for the sake of overthrowing Aklenroth. I know the losses a war can bring upon people but even then we live under a terrible ruler and people need to be free from this oppression he has caused." He deep down knew that if they pursued this war he could lose every one of his friends sitting around him. Kyran hated to think about it but that is part of war and he would do anything to protect them even if it costed his life.

"Here is your food guys! I hope you love it." Alie said with a bright smile, placing the dishes on the respective spots on the table before walking back to the kitchen. Kyran started to hungrily eat, dropping the subject for now.

O'Ner Faister

O'Ner still had his gaze elsewhere, Looking towards the wall across form him. He was in no mood for being ridiculed in front of the demi-humans and other races in the brothel. So he was going to have to put up with it for the time being, Taking one of the glasses filled with the dark purple drink. Swirling the content around for a few moments before taking a sip form it, Even though he would not be affected by the alcoholic drink. Ignoring the dancers that seemed to start crowding around him, Once in a while sipping his drink before listening to Xenelith.

"They will all parish regardless of their efforts, Once we ahead to this ball what is the first plan of action we should take?" He asked wondering what they were going to do once they get there. Personally he was hoping to collect information on the rebels, Using his shapeshifting abilities. However he knew that someone like Umber and Azriel would just kill everyone without a second thought, They are as pea brained as he thought, Killing first and or their incompetency getting in the way of Arklenroth's goals.

His attention moving towards the dancer that he had gained attention form before, Placing his cold boney hand to her face. Admiring it for a moment before letting go of her face. "Such beauty is wasted on such fragile flesh" His voice was soft and low for her to hear him. How jealous he was that he does not have flesh, His desire to become human again seemed to be consuming his mind as time passed. For the longest time he was searching for someway to join the living, Secretly sending scouts and his minions to search but no results came form it.

The moment Zorrah said what Myra wanted to hear, indicating she did understand her request for meat, Myra gave a small happy jump, with a smile on her face. She was happy that the woman not only understood what she had said but didn't seem to have any problems with her request as well. Her eyes were almost shining as she discreetly licked her lips. She was indeed looking forward to the meat that it would be given to her. Plus, Zorrah's comment of not adding any vegetables made Myra even happier, she did remember the few times Darius tried to make her eat vegetables saying that they were good for her health. Sticking her tongue out with a disgusted expression when Zorrah mentioned the vegetables Myra nodded happily as she said she wouldn't put them on her meat.

Apparently, It wasn't that hard to buy Myra's trust. One just needed food... Well... A good amount of food and to treat her right.

With the matter of food having been dealt with, Kol continued his tour through Edena with both Darius and Myra. This time, they were heading to where both Darius and Myra would stay and sleep. Having never seen a proper 'room' before, Myra didn't know what to think nor she had any specific expectations, instead being simply curious about it. When they arrived there though, Darius' words sounded as surprised as Myra was at that moment...

She wasn't expecting something that big. Honestly, it not only had enough space for her to lay down on the ground with her tail fully extended and sleep however she wanted, but it actually had more space than Myra knew what to do with. Upon giving the first step inside the room, the carpet on the ground immediately drew her attention as she stepped on it. It's texture was strange, but not in a bad way. It was kind of fluffy and it tickled her feet as she walked on it. Raising her feet and then putting them down slowly, Myra examined the carpet, interested on it's strange texture.

The next victim of Myra's curiosity though was the bed. After finally getting over the initial shock that feeling the carpet on her feet gave her, she slowly moved towards the bed. At first, she got close, simply touching it. Upon realizing that it was not only incredibly soft but the fur thing on top of it also had a strange, incredibly comfortable texture she stood up, raising her arms and letting herself fall belly first on the bed, grabbing the fur thing with her hands, bringing it close to her body and covering her entire body with it as she curled herself inside the small 'cocoon' she had just made. Leaving only her face out of it, she looked at Darius, incredibly satisfied with the bed.

Ilan was enjoying his performance. It had been some time since he had played his lyre in front of a crowd. Thankfully he still possessed the guts to be the center of attention for a song or two. Something rare for the usually timid and shy faun. His enjoyment was abruptly cut short. A tall light elf barged up to him in a fit of rage. His anger didn't fit his beautiful countenance. In a way it made him even more frightening. He stared at Ilan with icy eyes, angry for a reason he didn't understand. He wasn't doing anything wrong...
When he tried to grab his lyre Ilan snapped out of his thoughts. Despite the fear coursing through him he wouldn't let go of his precious instrument. The man was too strong and Ilan was scared his lyre would break. But if he let go the man would probably destroy it regardless. He felt hopeless. Why was he doing this? He was having such a great time just moments ago.

"Please let it go Sir.."
He tried to reason with him to no avail. Tears were starting to well up in his eyes. Ilan quickly glanced at the crowd, to see if there was a familiar face who could hel....

An arrow flew past the head of the governor. Ilan immediately ducked down scared there would be more. Ilan watched wide eyed at what happened next. A tall centaur came to his aid, addressing the Governor in his loud booming voice. Ilan recognized that voice! It was Regulus. Creatures of the forest began to attack the governors soldiers. They were here to rescue him! A lot of things happened at once. Regulus shielded him from the Governor. Ilan had by now let go of his lyre, overwhelmed at everything that was going on around him. He watched the tall centaur who stood between him and the light elf. It made him think of the way his older brother Vanasi sometimes got him out of trouble.

Regulus flung a honey cake at the Governor to which Ilan had to stifle a laugh, despite of everything that had just happened. He allowed the centaur to lead him away from the commotion, holding onto his hand tightly. He glanced over his shoulder once, just in time to see a distorted cloaked figure fly up into the air, carrying something which looked like his lyre. He silently praised the Gods as he struggled to keep up with Regulus. Hopefully they could hide out somewhere safe.

Malachi's uneasiness with the child grew tenfold when the boy threw him a mischevious glance. Something about it confirmed his gut feeling that this kid wasn't an innocent boy trying to lie his way out of trouble. There was clear intent and thought to his actions. Not only was this a dangerous situation for a child, but perhaps the child was a danger to them. The child's next words surprised him, but he tried his best to keep a stoic expression. It was not difficult due to his constant desire for detachment from emotions.

"For a moment I thought it was humans. But that would be silly wouldn't it?"

It was possible that the child was just playing off the Aklenroth announcement, but the gears in Malachi's brain were turning rapidly, the way they used to when he was working on his projects. How would a child who had not lived during the last time a human had set foot in Avalia know of the smell of humans? It could be played off as a guess due to the announcement like he had considered prior, however, the playful manner gave Malachi the hint that the child knew what he was doing and was here to cause trouble. That is if he even was a child. Those words had the undertaste of a threat. Malachi considered him a possible spy of Aklenroth or maybe even someone with a cloaking ability or illusion. Something was not right and he could feel it in his gut. The child was about to proceed to speak more and Malachi was hoping to get further information out of him, but Kenia returned and the dialogue between them continued. His continued desire to stay with strangers was also peculiar. What was he really here for?

Malachi wasn't so sure he cared to find out. The child was a risk and that's all that mattered.

Kenia started to tell him that she was indeed the woman she had mentioned, referring to her locket as proof of it. So an alias.Malachi thought to himself. He wondered who Kenia really was and what she was up to. She seemed trustworthy enough with all she risked for them, but something was unknown to them. When she glanced at Malachi, he gave her a firm horizontal nod, his eyes and annoyed expression an open-book to his feelings on him. She started to tell the boy to leave to his pleasure, but a curious mood overtook Kenia that he had not seen yet. That further confirmed that there was a side to Kenia they had yet to know, but still he trusted her.

Malachi figured it was his turn to speak. His opinion was clear: the humans were their priority and this child posed a threat.

"Get out." Malachi said coldly and simply as he abruptly moved from his position to stand closer to Kenia. He figured the 'or else' part was rather clear and not needed to be said.

Zelginn

Time: Morning
Place: Biralei estate

The small figure that was Zelginn had quickly opened the locket to peek inside of it as soon as he could, his clawed fingers holding unto it firmly.

"It seems you are this lady after all! Mistakes happen so easily!" He said in a joking manner to Kenia, then allowed his face to grow more serious as their tone of voice changed and both the elves desired him out of the building. "Why making such a scary face? I'm getting scared... I guess I'm off then, catch you later..." He pocketed the locket and turned to face one of the windows which wasn't sealed, he peeked over his own shoulder to the two elves.

"Maybe I'll introduce you to some of my friends. Oh they would love to invite you along for dinner and stuff! I'm sure you would die to meet them too!" He gave a wide grin, as he began to press his feet against the floor and quickly raised his arms in front of him, before he jumped straight into the glassy window, crashing out of it, pieces of glass flying all over the place, some parts cutting into his attire but the boy didn't stop. He landed on the grassy ground outside, where one of the watchdogs noticed him and quickly gave chase in a barking manner. His goal was to leap over the wall or fence which normally kept the place free of curious children, thieves or worse. His mission had been a successful one, for the most part. Stocked with new wealth, food and knowledge. How could the day go wrong from this wonderful start?

TIME: Present day, morning
LOCATION: Sakura's home, somewhere in Daka Island
INTERACTIONS: none

Two child-size puppets were shaking on the ground, the sound of their wooden bodies clanking against each other as it filled Sakura's once-quiet home. Their clicking sounds were soon mixed with child-like screams that were getting louder the more they shone brighter, one in orange and green while the other in blue and red. One of the puppets, the one that looked more masculine, seemed to be screaming in pain while the other, more feminine one was screaming out of sadness. It lasted for a moment or two before everything went silent again. Then, they stood up from the ground as a zombie would rise from its grave. They wore the Masks of Zaturna, one of Mania and one of Sorrow. Their large yellow eyes darted around and Urna the Mask of Sorrow showed signs of elatedness as she picked up her favorite stuffed toy. Zatu the Mask of Mania approached his sister and placed his forehead before hers. They closed their eyes, delighted upon seeing each other once again before they went to go their separate ways. After all, they have a mission to complete.

TIME: Morning
LOCATION: Roshmi City
INTERACTIONS: Ayita @13org, Cadence @Helo

As Sakura smiled at how Cade replied to her teasing, she felt like something deep within her was set free.

Children, you know what to do, Sakura said in her head. She then turned to her two companions and acted like everything was just as normal as they should be.

"Hm. I do agree with you on that point, Cade. Landing a physical hit on your opponent and using your physical form to hunt down prey seemed to feel more fulfilling, one might say. However, spells, hexes, and magic are not only tools of 'deception' as you might believe. Even the simplest of magic requires a lot of concentration and creativity on the caster's part just so it can be used to its full potential. I'd say that magic is much more complex and challenging yet adaptable and even fun that just simply swinging a sword or a fist on your foe and calling it a day," Sakura said to Cade with a teasing smile.

The demoness was not surprised by the demi-human's choice of words; warriors who were not gifted in the arts of sorcery either look at magic casters with envy or disdain. She observed the way Cade's tail flicked when he boasted of a proud moment and she found herself smiling earnestly at him. "Same here, Cade. Same here," Sakura said with her eyes shining with pride upon remembering the first subject she successfully had to torture with practice her magic on.

Sakura turned her attention to Ayita when the human recalled her hunting days and her celebration with her tribe. Judging from how fast her reflexes were when running away from Soruklithbaal, Sakura already had an idea how much of a skilled huntress Ayita was. Add to that her newfound affinity for magic and she could one day become a very skilled sorcerer-warrior hybrid. The demoness could already see how she could be powerful in battle.

"Oh that sounds so delightful, Ayita! We may not be a part of your tribe but we'll do our best to make you feel at home here in Avalia, even though an evil lich king has released an order to kill you and several others like you. Hm-hm. Just an average day in Avalia," Sakura cheerfully said to her as she linked her arm with Ayita's, holding her parasol over them to shade them both from the sun.

"Go and take your time with your sharp 'toys', Cade. After this, we will feast like there's no tomorrow," Sakura said to the both of them as her stomach grumbled.

Bowyn not so subtly rolled his eyes at Torvi’s counter, although she was correct, those with power always hungered for more of it, he surely didn’t want to pave the way for a new tyrant. He didn’t really see the point in bringing it up though; putting Aeryn to rest and maybe, if he was very lucky, getting to see Aklenroth suffer were more important to him than whatever would come after that. Much to his own annoyance his disdain for this ball seemed to be equally matched by Torvi’s excitement for it. He resisted the urge to push against her plan to seek allies at the ball, it was better to let his new companion find whatever joy she could in this world. Bowyn starred at Torvi’s hand as she gave his own hand a reassuring squeeze. The friendly and comforting gesture made him uncomfortable; he did not want to make another friend, because all his friends ended up dead and it was best not to test how long that streak would last.

He was relieved when Torvi released his hand, and her words assured him enough that she too felt the weight of what they were up against. His morose mood dissipated when she offered to buy more drinks with newly swiped amas. Bowyn grinned with pride at the revelation that Torvi had even managed to pick pockets without him noticing. “Then we shall drink to the generosity of strangers.” He said laughing a bit as she went to get another round of drinks.

“You are a bad influence on the human.” Boreas informed him, his tone more of an observation than a judgement.

“A quicker study than I thought. Maybe a night at a ball will not end in missing limbs.” Bowyn answered.

“If attending a ball means you’ll be bathing soon then I’m all for it.” Boreas said goading the fairy back into a snarkier and more pleasant mood.

Time: Late Morning into Noon
Location: Edena, Daka Island
Interaction with: Myra @13org

"This is ours?" Darius was awestruck. He had never lived in a room this luxurious or spacious in his life. He walked towards the bed and trailed his fingers along the soft blanket on top. "It's like a room for a king… I can't imagine what the actual king's room looks like." Darius turned to spot Myra taking in the room's extravagance in her own adorable way. The sight brought a cheerful smile to Darius' face. "This room is almost too much… I mean, Myra and I have been camping out since day one..." Darius then watched Myra embracing the bed and its soft covers. He let out a chuckle when she wrapped herself in it with just her head poking out.

"What are you doing?" He laughed as he sat on the bed beside her and rubbed her favorite spot on the back of her neck. He relaxed feeling the soft patch of fur was no longer bristled like it had been before. "If you like it, I love it Myra." His eyes then trailed off at the rest of the large room until he finally found Kol still waiting quietly by the door. The dark elf's eyes met his gaze, which seemed to ease the smile off of Darius' face. The elf was just so serious. "So what happens now? Actually, what happens after we’re done eating? Is that when the training begins?” It was so early in the day, Darius figured there had to be more to do. Sure he could just take it easy until tomorrow, but Kol had made a point earlier. He needed to become more powerful and he wouldn’t get there if he didn’t train. Darius already knew how to train his body, but magic and combat were totally out of his realm.

“As much as I would like you to hit the ground running, we need to make a few purchases using your 5,000 amas in a market north of the castle. It might have been better if you had retained the bulk of your reward. You may have been able to purchase more, but the 5,000 will have to do.” Kol gave a quick nod to the hallway, prompting the group to leave the room and head back down to the dining area. Zorrah had just set down their plates, with Myra's actually having almost five times more steak than Darius. I could have sworn she said thrice more. Once the three were seated, Kol spoke once more. “You should be aware that your element of water is a fine element to master. Almost as fine as the darkness itself.” Kol said with an almost proud look on his face.

“Water? Seriously? Listen, if people that could use water actually had the ability to change the state of it, then I might agree. But plain ol’ water isn’t doing anything but putting out a fire.” Darius had taken a break from his steak, which was delicious by the way, to address the dark elf’s mention of his element. Kol raised an eyebrow at the response, but slightly leaned forward to engage Darius in discussion.

“Any weapon you wield can be as deadly as you make it and water is one of the most versatile weapons you could ever wield. It can fill an empty space to completeness, carve mountains with its pressure, and quell flames with ease. You may be blind now, but I will show you. Like my darkness, your power is granted by the moons, maybe even blessed by Halastra herself… formless and with the ability to devour your enemies in its embrace.” Before Kol left Darius to his food, he informed the young man that he would meet him out in the garden and to wear something warm as they’d be traveling even further north. While Darius and Myra ate their meal, their room was stocked with fresh linens, clothes, and toiletries. Oh and the bed was also remade. Their room was especially stocked with warmer clothes suited for colder weather as winter was beginning to creep up on Daka Island.

As Darius prepared to travel within the living quarters, he thought about what Kol had said. Not the weird part about the moons, but more so on the usefulness water might have. I guess he has a point, BUT fire is still so much cooler. I have what I have though, so I’m going to need to just make the best of it. Shapes are easy… I just need output. Darius seemed to be deep in thought before getting a peek at the entrance to the bathroom on the far end of the living quarters. He walked over, eager to check it out and possibly put it to use.

”Myra look! It’s a bathroom… Whoa, it’s a… real bathroom.” Darius didn’t expect to see what appeared to be a modernized bathroom. “This world is so weird. We had to walk and take a paddle boat all the way to this place, but they have plumbing all figured out.” Darius looked down at Myra with a smile. “This is where you can clean yourself.” Darius walked over to the shower and turned the knob slightly, allowing some water to lightly shoot out of the shower head. He placed his hand under the water and rubbed it to simulate washing. “Shower.” Darius smiled before turning off the water and moving to the toilet. “Uhh… You can do your secret stuff here! Um… You just sit down and let it come out. Then…” Darius pulled the knob and flushed the toilet. If anything, I’m sure she’ll do it outside. Darius’ hand then rested on the sink.

“And the sink. You can wash your hands… Oh! And you can…” Darius looked on the surface of the sink and spotted a two toothbrushes amongst some other toiletry items and products. One black, and the other red. He grabbed the black one quickly followed by the toothpaste. After turning on the water and getting the bristles wet, he squeezed a bit of toothpaste onto the toothbrush. He looked to Myra with a bright smile of excitement. “Watch this Myra. You should do this twice a day or whenever I do it I guess. Or maybe you don’t need to… I mean… I don’t know the science of it or if it even applies here or to a demon... You know what? I’ll just show you anyway." Darius proceeded to brush his teeth with the toothbrush and toothpaste, something he had not had the luxury of doing since his arrival in Avalia. The minty taste in his mouth had been missed as he over-exaggerated brushing his teeth to show Myra everything he was doing. Once he finished and spit into the sink, he lightly blew his minty breath in her face. “Fresh and clean!” Darius chuckled just before looking towards the shower. "I have to change into new clothes anyway…" Darius left the bathroom, removed his cloak and unfastened his black leather armor. Once he removed his cloth undershirt and running sneakers, he headed towards the bathroom. “Myra, I’m going to the shower for a bit. You can have fun on the bed and see how comfy it really is or check out some of the warm clothes we'll need for our trip.” He nodded to the large bed before entering the bathroom and shutting the door behind him. No more cold streams or water spickets! Let’s do this!” Darius wasted no time getting in and taking a real shower for the first time in a week.

Time: Morning
Location: Baelde's restaurant
Interaction:@Alivefalling-Kyran @MissCapnCrunch Dionaea @princess Risa @Dezuel Elthrael

Risa seemed to have the same sentiment as Elsea and she was glad someone else in the group also understood that forcing anyone to do anything was wrong. She'd really grown to like Risa over the last week, loving her sweet nature and always looking for the good in people. It was a good quality to have, however Elsea feared that with what was to come Risa would change the most. They were going to have to make some very tough decisions here in the future.

When Dio began speaking she turned her attention to the other female fairy. Unfortunately Elsea hadn't got to know Dionaea as well due to the discovery of her brothers and missing family. The image of the dead fairies flashed in her mind and it made her a little sick. So far she'd been the one to experience the most consequences from their actions. Elsea may not have been able to talk to her too much, but just seeing her pain made her want to help in any way she could. At the end of her speech she also ordered Elsea food which came as a shock, but also caused Elsea to giggle just a bit. "Yes I'll take the potato cakes, thank you Dio." She gave the girl a smile, deciding she'd eat them just for her.

"I do agree that finding Dio's family should be a top priority, but we need to do so with caution. I promise you that the enemy wants us to try that and we don't want to fall into their trap." She said as she looked around to the others. They needed to really think through their plans otherwise it would blow up in their faces.

Elthrael began speaking and his words ignited anger in her, but just before she snapped at him she paused. That's what he wanted, he was trying to anger her and Kyran it seemed, but why? What was his goal there? She had a feeling she might know why, but wasn't sure enough to call him out on it. Instead she decided she wouldn't react entirely in the way he wanted. So instead she grinned at him in a rather mischievous way, but let him speak. She'd wait till he finished before she'd speak again. He spoke of heroes and how in trying time the grandest of acts are taken. She scoffed a bit. "Heroic acts often lead to a change in the person as well and still for the worse. Some become arrogant and think they deserve praise for their acts which is a poor quality. Others are haunted by their acts for the rest of their lives. Yes hard steps must be taken, but taking those steps will change you." She'd never liked the fantasy of heroes and always believed heroism to be a facade. History always painted heroes to be more grand than they really were. Yes hard choices must be made, but to her that wasn't being a hero it was merely doing the next right thing.

"Also it's adorable that you think I'd still want you to train me. How arrogant of you to assume such a thing. Besides," She paused as she snapped her fingers, a small flame igniting right in Elthrael's lap. She let it burn there for a few moments, keeping it from spreading yet letting it burn a small section of his clothes. She waved her hand and made the small flame dissipate before it could really harm him however. "I'm learning just fine without your help." She said with that same mischievous grin before looking away from him and to Kyran once more. She'd considered igniting him in a pillar of flame, but that would be too revealing. Keeping the tiny flame hidden by the table in his lap was much less revealing while still showing him that her power was growing. She'd made sure one of the first things she began practicing was control over what she burned. She wanted to be sure that if she started a fire she could stop it just as quickly. She didn't want to have a second incident like what happened in the forest.

It was time to address Kyran again and this time she felt a bit calmer. Her initial outburst of anger had dissipated with Dio and Risa's earlier words. "Aye, I understand that their best chance of survival is learning to use their magic. Forcing them to learn, however, is out of the question. You need to look at the situation from their point of view. In our world we don't have magic, we don't have people appearing in the sky like Aklenroth did, and most who see a talking skeleton will most likely view them as the Devil or some other omen of death. The Devil is known to be a trickster and lie, so can you blame them for not believing that he really would send them home? They don't know who to trust and a talking skeleton is the least likely being to trust to us. So many humans are going to be frightened and untrusting and if you tell them they must fight in a war than you will be an enemy as well and they will turn against you." She explained to him, hoping her words would help him understand why she'd gotten upset. "While I agree that we need to find as many humans and away them to help, if some decide the do not wish to help than we must respect that." She said and quickly stopped talking as Alie appeared with their food.

She slowly began eating and had to admit it really was delicious. She was glad that Dio had actually made her order something. She let a few moments of silence pass before she looked to Risa and Dio. "So there is to be a ball, aye? What say you we go shopping for dresses after this?" She asked them with a grin, trying to change the subject. While she had a feeling Kyran's mother may have dresses they could wear, she thought it might be fun for them to have a moment of normalcy and fun by dress shopping. She'd seen many shops with pretty dresses in them when they arrived and knew it could be fun to look closer at then with the two fairies.

Time: Late morning into Noon.
Location: Edena.

Myra stood still as Darius scratched the back of her head. Glad that he was also enjoying the place they were going to stay, she simply curled itself even more on the bed as Darius made Kol a few questions. The moment Kol began to answer them though, he nodded towards the hallway, indicating that Myra would have to leave the bed and her cozy spot under the covers for now. Fortunately though, they were going to eat shortly and that was something she was looking forward to.

Even though Myra was trying to pay attention on the conversation Kol and Darius had, having even understood that they were talking about Darius' magic, she started to become a bit distracted by the smell of food when they arrived on the dining area and the second a plate with at least five times more meat than Darius' was put in front of her, she completely stopped paying attention on their conversation. Sticking the tip of her tongue out of her mouth, she quickly examined the meat. It was cooked, just like the one Skar had taught her to do, but other than that, it had a rather particular scent to it that she didn't know very well what it was. Despite that, it was almost making her drool and she couldn't hold herself back anymore. Using her claws to pick an entire piece of meat without getting too dirty, she took the first bite. Myra could feel the similarity to Skar's cooked meat, but the one that Zorrah made had something else on it too. Myra didn't know exactly what she did put on the meat, but it was incredibly tasty. Despite it's size, the mountain of meat in front of Myra was gone in a short time.

After eating and satiating her hunger, Myra and Darius went back to their room. While Myra did notice Darius was distracted and thinking about something, the second she was about to try and cheer him up, he exclaimed about something upon entering a different part of the room they would stay. Even though Myra didn't know exactly what that 'bathroom' was supposed to be, she was happy that Darius seemed to be so glad and excited upon seeing it.

Her confusion about that room was soon gone though as Darius started explaining to her what it was for. Apparently, it was the room that she was supposed to use to clean herself. As Darius showed her a strange hollow chair with a puddle of water inside, she was intrigued by it, but the second he showed her what it was for, she immediately understood as she gave a step forward and pressed the small button that he had just pressed. Almost instantly, the puddle of water inside started to swirl and go away, before being refilled again. The next thing that Darius had to show her was a strange metal pipe just above a half sphere. The moment he turned the small thing on top of that pipe, water was produced, falling on the half sphere before going away through the hole right in the middle. Grabbing a small black stick-like thing with short hairs at it's end, he put it below the water before squeezing a strange gooey thing on it. Putting on his mouth, Darius began to move it back and forth and one side to another over his teeth before spitting it out of his mouth. Confused at first, Myra understood that he was cleaning his teeth after he finished and showed her his teeth, now cleaner than before. Grabbing the red one, Myra carefully imitated Darius' actions, squeezing the gooey thing and putting it on her mouth. The second she did though, she gave a small jump, surprised by the taste it had. Even though it wasn't really a bad taste, it was still strange and not exactly something Myra enjoyed that much. Despite that, Darius emphasized how important it was to do that so she tried to ignore the taste and did it anyways. When she finished, she showed Darius her teeth just like he did to her before in a smile that would be adorable if it wasn't for the incredibly sharp teeth in her mouth.

When Darius started taking off his clothes, Myra knew what he was going to do, remembering the first time she saw him taking off his 'second skin' before entering the river. For some reason too, she knew that Darius didn't really liked when she watched him, so she went to the bed just like Darius suggested as he cleaned himself. Jumping on the bed just like she did the first time, she rolled on the bed a few times, enjoying the softness and the fluffy covers before wrapping herself on the covers, completely hiding herself under it.

Jack had practically tuned everyone out at this point, ignoring his surroundings and only hearing muffled background noises, though at one point he did hear Azriel apologize but the smile on her face could only mean she did not mean the words she spoke. "Save the apologies, I can tell they are ingenuine." Jack looked over to her, lifting the mask to just above his mouth and returned the same smile before dropping it down again. The group began to speak of a ball; he let them speak before giving his own two cents about the event. "Well, if I understand humans as much as I think I do, I know they will go to this ball looking for more so it would be in our best interest to capture them there, if not kill them." Jack said before turning his head to watch as Madame Uma and two other ladies brought over a bottle of wine and a hooka before setting the table up for them. He proceeded to pour a glass of wine for himself and began to drink after lifting his mask above his mouth once again. "This wine is wonderful; I may just stay here a bit longer." He said sitting back, letting himself relax a bit.

Cade led the way through the streets of Roshmi, eventually reaching the shop of weapons owned by a demifox. Here the walls and display cases were adorned with what Sakura had referred to as sharp toys, metal forged and sharpened by skilled blacksmiths and fine wood expertly carved, these were the tools he preferred to put his trust in. Every hand-crafted weapon here was a work of art with purpose; allowing families to hunt and provided food, warriors to protect those who needed it, and hopefully to provided heroes tools to aid a deeply wounded Avalia. Although he enjoyed looking and admiring the craftsmanship of such shops, he knew there was no weapon in the land he would rather have than one he possessed; a simple halberd that had been made by his brother. While it didn’t look particularly special, free of the intricate designs and adornments that many more expensive weapons might have, it was strong and dependable and with it he felt the spirit of his brother was still with him, guiding him.

”A fine display of sharp toys I must say. I think I’d have a lot more fun swinging one of those battle axes than whispering words and muddling berries.” Cade said, teasing Sakura as he gestured towards a display of axes. ”We should have no trouble finding what you need here, then we can eat. Cade added, they day was still young and once they had eaten it would be easier to focus on finding allies in the large city. A task that would be difficult but he held no doubts that Roshmi held citizens just as tired of the lich’s rule as they people in his own village had been.

A scuffle on the other side of the market caught Cade’s attention. A faun who had been drawing a crowd with his music had been accosted by a regal looking elf. A large centaur came to the faun’s aid, fighting off the elf official before the centaur and faun both fled from the altercation. In Cade’s experience centaurs usually made strong and fierce warriors, and seeing this one so quickly defend the deer boy made him think it would not be so difficult to find allies in Roshmi. ”I think making friends with that centaur might good start in find help here.” Cade suggested to the others, gesturing with his head towards the commotion in the marketplace.

Kenia watched Zelginn closely, that darkness still there. One of her hands had slowly moved to where she had one of her poison laced daggers hidden on her person. She would only use it if she absolutely needed, knowing if she did than questions would eventually be asked by Malachi. Though questions were probably already going to be asked after this child left and it caused Kenia to feel a bit of anger towards the intruder. How was she to explain things to Malachi without ruining his trust in her? Could she come up with a convincing lie or would it be best to just tell the truth? She would have to explain more of her past if she did so and she wasn’t quite sure she was ready for that. She decided she would cross that bridge once it arrived.

Thankfully Zelginn decided to leave, but not before making what sounded like a veiled threat. It only confirmed her decision to make him leave. He was a danger and they now would have to be even more cautious with everything they did. She sighed as she stared out the now broken window. ”I need a drink… She mumbled as she shook her head before moving to grab the broom Rei and Cora had left from earlier and began sweeping up the glass. The soot trail would definitely need the mop. Just looking at the mess Zelginn had left behind made her even more irritated.

”What in the world is going on? I hear all this commotion, find soot everywhere, discover one of the dogs closed up in the pantry, and then come here to see you cleaning up glass from a broken window.” The booming voice of Kenia’s father, Nym, travelled to her ears and she spun to see him. She immediately had the look of a scolded child as her gaze dropped to the floor.

”I’m sorry Papa, we’ve had quite the...eventful morning. We had an intruder in the house, quite a mischievous intruder. He’s the one that caused all the commotion and then left through the window.” She explained as she finally got the courage to look up at her father again. The alarm in his eyes didn’t help her unease at all. He glanced over to Malachi as well as if to ask him to confirm his daughter’s story.

”If that be the case then I fear it may not be safe to train with the other two today, just in case this intruder sticks around to try and see something.” Nym suggested and Kenia knew he was probably right, however she looked to Malachi for his opinion.

Azriel found such joy in Umber’s desire to mess with O’Ner as well and couldn’t contain her giggle as he ordered more dancers for the undead man. She watched briefly for O’Ner’s reaction before turning her attention back to Xenelith. His explanation of the group he had come across was quite intriguing to her, especially when he began explaining the fox to them. Something had obviously happened there that he held some sort of resentment for the man. ”Now, now Xenelith, remember not to underestimate your enemy.” She said to him teasingly as she took the wine and poured herself some. She took a drink of it and grinned, enjoying the warmth the alcohol provided.

The prospect of the male fairy being cowardly was intriguing to her. Was he really a coward? Part of her hoped so as she did enjoy cowards. They were the most fun to torture, at least until they started begging for their lives. That’s when they bored her and she needed to rid herself of them. Would this moth fairy beg for his life? She hoped not.

Her attention turned to O’Ner once more as he asked what their first plan of action should be once they got to the ball. ”Well observe, of course. Better to let our enemy make the first move, no?” She suggested as her eyes fell on the hookah the women finished setting up. The rest of the drugs they’d ordered were there as well and she debated momentarily on what she wanted to start with. She settled on just the tobacco for now as she slowly inhaled the substance. As she did so she heard Jack’s voice and glanced at him briefly, grinning to herself at his reaction before exhaling the smoke. She then looked back to O’Ner who had his hand on her face. He said something to her after letting her go and Azriel couldn’t help but snicker.

”Come now O’Ner, why not shapeshift and enjoy some of these women? It’s easy, watch.” She asked as she beckoned the girl towards her now. The woman obeyed and now knelt beside Azriel who gently caressed her face. She watched the woman for a second, catching the slightest hint of fear in her eyes which only made the dark angel smirk. She pulled the girls face to hers and kissed her deeply. After a long moment she pushed her away and then looked back over to O’Ner. ”Her lips are so soft and lovely, wouldn’t you care to feel them on you?” She asked him while now shooing the girl back over to him. Yes, perhaps she was being cruel, but it was just so fun. Wasn’t that why they came here after all, to have some fun?

Malachi sighed as the kid left, narrowing his eyes as the child essentially threatened their lives. This was a problem. They would possibly have to change their plans, maybe even leave the house. Perhaps they could get out for a few days. He glanced at Kenia and mouthed, barely whispering, "He said that they smelled like humans." He knew Kenia could probably put a few things together from that statement as well so he didn't further explain. Before he could agree that he also needed a drink, Kenia's father burst into the room. He was less than pleased.

Kenia explained the story and Nym glanced at Malachi to confirm it. "Yes, sir. This is all true. I apologize that the place is a mess; there had been an effort to clean it. The intruder threatened us on the way out, so it would probably be best for us to not be in the area at all. " Malachi explained to him.

Glancing at Kenia, he replied, suggesting, "Yes, we shouldn't be out in the open. Maybe we can take them into the town and treat them to a break. " Malachi left the room abruptly and returned a moment later with a fresh shirt for Rei, calling Rei and Corvina's names out the window, "Rei! Corvina! Come inside." He began to tidy up as he waited for them to return

Once out of the amazing WARM shower, Darius took a look at the fogged up sink mirror before his very eyes. Something within seemed to urge him to reach out towards the mirror with an open hand. He then clasped his hand causing the spread water particles to leave the mirror and condense into a tiny clear sphere of water in front of him. It was no larger than a marble.

"Hmm." Darius reached out with his other hand while opening his closed one, still concentrating on the sphere floating before him. He took a breath and in a wide wafting motion, he made all the steam within the room condense into the sphere, making it grow about five times its size. He then closed both his hands into fists.
"Steam to water." Darius whispered before opening his hands quickly. "Water to stea… No.” The water sphere simply burst, sprinkling the area with water. It really is a one-way street. But at least I figured out something interesting. I can pull water particles a lot easier than creating it myself. He held his hands out over the sink and gathered the water into a small sphere once more, this time without any dramatic wafting or sweeping motions. The sphere floated over his two palms before moving his hands outward and allowing the water to splash into the sink. No mold build up happening in here. Darius grabbed a towel off the wooden rack above the toilet to dry off. Just gotta do something on a larger scale next time… and maybe not practice in the bathroom. Once dried, he wrapped the towel around his waist and walked out to find Myra wrapped in the bed blankets… again. He was happy to have had a real shower, but he was even happier to find Myra enjoying herself as much as he was. For a moment, he wished Skar was here to have her own unique bit of enjoyment, but let the thought die as the orc’s idea of enjoyment might have led to the ruining of the room. Skar would still be missed by Darius though. His first Avalian encounter.

"I feel like a million… amas! Let's get dressed!" Darius walked to the dresser and then to one of the wardrobes to pull out what he thought was needed for the trip up north. Once he laid what he needed out, he quickly stripped off his towel and got dressed with no indication of being bothered with whether Myra was looking or not. It had taken some time, but he accepted she'd look if she wanted. Lately, he noticed her making an effort to give him his privacy, which also occurred today. Basically, the less attention he placed on being naked, the less attention she did as well. The two had grown to understand each other just a bit better with each passing day.

When getting dressed, Darius’ primary goal was to dress as warm as possible without being too restricted in his ability to move. He wore thicker undergarments that reminded him of long-johns, a thick gray top and pants, and what appeared to be black combat boots laced with fur on the inside. Goodbye sneakers! You made it this far though. He slipped back into his leather armor and then grabbed a black fur cloak.

"Hey Myra… you should wear something. It's gonna be cooold." Darius crossed and held his arms and simulated shivering. "I know you hate clothes. Trying to get you dressed for Orc Landing was… that was not fun. BUT this time you need to, or maybe…" [/color] Darius looked at her while she was wrapped in bed covers before smirking slightly as an idea surfaced. He laid the black fur cloak onto the bed beside her. "It's soft, warm, and easy to take off. Darius grabbed a second cloak from the closet and slipped it on and then off. "Just sleeves." At the same time, he had a back up plan if she declined. Operation Piggyback is on standby if anything. Then I can just wear the cloak over? Ugh maybe that doesn’t work since she’d be more restrained… Or I can have her at my front facing me… like… like a baby… Oh please put the cloak on Myra.

As time passed, Kuroi sighed as he began to teach the basics of knife defense to the human girl. He had her hold a live blade against him while he merely used his fan, keeping it closed to avoid harming her. Time and time again, he made sure to emphasize the back of the forearm whenever dealing with a live blade in close proximity, teaching her to 'frame' the arm the held the weapon up against the attacker's body if necessary. "In the end, you'll need some sort of minor ambidexterity. You'll have one arm trapping the attacker's arm against them while using the other to do whatever it needs to in order to ensure your safety."

Throughout his teaching, Kuroi never bothered taking off his mask, resulting in yet another day Belle would have to deal with not knowing what the vulpine really looked like. By the time training ended, Kuroi hoped the bit of pressure testing and training he had put her through would do her good.

He sighed as he leaned against the wall, waiting for one of the idle party members to approach him for the sake of socialization or training. The vulpine closed his eyes as he waited, listening to the sounds around him, only to listen in on the abusive interaction between an elf and a faun. Kuroi stood up straight and looked over at the scene, recognizing two of the faces among the group. As if that wasn't enough, the vulpine turned to find the group formulating a rather outrageous plan to save the two. When addressed by Belle, her words went through one ear and out the other; he absolutely refused to politically put himself on the line with such an over-the-top plan!

Kuroi took a few steps away from the group, trying to disassociate as he leaned against the wall again, his eyes on Baraian and Ilan as he waited for the plan to spring into action. All the vulpine could witness was a mess of acts that he definitely did not agree with. A pie thrown at an elf's face right after a murder attempt? Seriously?

He let out a low growl as he gritted his teeth beneath his mask, trying to figure out what to do. While the elf and his troops were distracted by the chaos of the group's machinations, the vulpine slowly inched towards the elf, silently calling for him in hopes he'd slip away with him while the time was right. Although Kuroi still wasn't very fond of Baraian, he saw no reason as to why he should die. After all, he wouldn't directly be helping whatever schemes this man had, nor did he wish ill him, the human girl, or the faun when they all first met. All Kuroi could hope now was that his slight bit of help wouldn't land him in more trouble than he was asking for...

Rei's ears twitched, he wasn't entirely sure if they were being called. "I think we're getting called." he murmured, tentatively poking his head out the door to see three elves, serious expressions laden on their faces. Seemed like whatever the fox said worried them, Malachi wore a particularly annoyed look. Stepping back into the room he grabbed both his and Corvina's plates on his way in and washing them in the sink. After the deed he stretched his body, his joints popping and cracking.

He accepted the fresh shirt from Malachi with a quick thanks before piping up. "So, are we going to train?" He asked, glancing over to the cleaning elf. "Do you need help with that?"

Terneus Andros

Time: Morning
Place: Roshmi marketplace

There was something satisfying in drawing the attention away from the faun and to himself, even for someone who considered himself to be leagues higher in the food chain.

"Let it go? I will do no such thing." He snarled at the faun.

Terneus was just about to beckon his knights forth to seize the faun when an arrow swooshed past his head and nailed into the wall just above him. The sheer surprise caught him, and he stood still for a moment, completely still as if comprehending what just happened. Had someone just tried to kill him? To assassinate him in the morning hours at a market full of people? The sheer audacity, the arrogance and the nerve caused the elf to furrow his eyebrows which arched down in a nasty manner. He frowned as it dawned on him that this was done in public, where he could be seen as a unsuspecting fool. This he could NOT allow. His knights were more quick to react to the arrow in that they quickly drew their weapons, causing plenty of members of the crowd to step back in fear and surprise. The governor quickly looked about to see where the arrow had come from, he looked to the arrow in which manner in was pointed and then towards the direction it supposingly came from. There was some... disruption. Some magic was at work, he was sure of it. Perhaps even of the kind he was wielding himself. Had an elf from his own people tried to kill him? Some usurper who was planning on taking his position? He would have none of it!

"Guards! I am being assailed!" He yelled out in his pious sounding voice, as his attention was drawn to a loud centaur.

'A disgusting half-horse!' The governor grit his teeth together as he raised his hands in a shaking manner, not from fear or panic but of anger. Then came insectoids and birds which began to assault his knights, who in return slashed in the air with their weaponry and shields in retaliation while screaming in a mix of panic and surprise.

"Stop fooling around idiots! Seize that horseman!" He barked out as soon as he had begun to talk, commander Feldrin and two of the knights began to dart into the mass of people in an attempt to reach him. Leaving five of them fighting the variety of birds and insects assailing them, the last of the knights were located next to Terneus. That's when the centaur pulled a sweet honey cake and launched it towards the finely clad governor, it was on direct cause towards the governor, providing the centaur an ample moment to get away. The governor, his grace, the lord of the Andros family. Terneus saw the honeycake as it flew towards him, there was no room enough to gracefully dodge, with a puddle of mud at one side of him, and a dirty beggar to the other.

Terneus instictively grabbed hold of the knight close to him and pulled him into the firing line, causing the honey cake to splat straight into the knight's face instead, with a small piece of it flying over it's shoulder and landing on Terneus attire. The governor's eyes widened.

'My gown! My precious gown! How dare you?!' His thoughts fell unto his regal looking attire, which had taken so much child laborers to finish creating for him some weeks past. He wasted no time, as the buzzing sounds of insects and bird chirping was growing closer. He grabbed unto the knight's cape and used it to wipe his shoulder clean, before he kicked the knight in the rear into the direction of the rest of them as they were busy fighting the unfriendly forest critters.

"No! Not the bees! Not the bees!" The knight yelled as he plunged into the mess of knights, birds and insects.

"Tch! Get that vagrant horseman! Don't kill him! I want him alive! Commander?! I offer ten thousand amas to the ones who bring me these assassins! Argh! Must I do everything myself?!" He screamed in rage as he raised his mirror, using his magic to alter the light around him to turn himself invisible. Then the governor seemingly vanished from plain sight and began to move about unseen.

Baraian Paladice

Time: Morning
Place: Roshmi marketplace

Baraian had remained in the crowd as the governor of the elves and his group of knights had strolled into the marketplace. Why they would have approached Ilan was beyond Baraian, but then again he knew that the governor was a man with a very limited temper and easy to irritate. A reason why Baraian also considered him to be highly dangerous, that elf's ego was a driving force. He was about as powerful as he was vain, that much was certain. Baraian had hoped that things would be solved swiftly so that he could had gotten up to help Ilan sneak away, but there had been others intervening into the scene. He recognized the centaur as being one of his own, as in from Golden Death. Regulus was known as one of the more direct and brazened amongst them.

While Baraian did like having allies and more people join with Golden Death, he grew uneasy amidst some of them. For fear of the location of Ra Monde would be discovered. As he knew people did all within their power at times in order to survive. Even if it involved selling out their friends. He knew this better than most, after all he was a dark elf. For Baraian his survival had been in leaving Daka behind. He fled before the final test all dark elves go through in order to become proper warriors and swearing true allegiance to Aklenroth.

Faint memories of his family and time in Daka so long ago flooded to his mind for a moment, but he quickly shook it away. His attention snapped back to the present and to the ongoing chaos, a knight began to run past him at full speed to evade an angry hawk pecking on his head. Baraian couldn't resist the urge to hold out his leg abit, causing the knight to trip facefirst into the mud and cobblestones. The dark elf soon after allowed himself to slip back into the crowd of people, and that's when he laid his eyes on Kuroi.

He gave him a soft nod and then allowed himself to slip away alongside Kuroi. "Let us go to the shack." He said when he got close enough to Kuroi. He suggested they would go to the place where they had originally stayed prior to going to Ra Monde. It was too dangerous to withdraw to Ra Monde during daylight, and they could be followed after all. The last thing they would need would be the governor or his men finding their haven, it could be the end of their rebellion. No they had to take precautions.

The dark elf felt a strong unease, as if this incident was just the silence before a storm. A storm which he would not see the end of.
He began to move faster once they came out of the majority of the crowd, every now and then looking over his back as he thought he could hear footsteps. Perhaps it was the paranoia getting to him, his overprotectiveness of the rebel haven was a tiresome thing. How many nights had he spent awake just wondering how long it would take for the haven to be found, or someone to give it up to the wrong people. Now Ra Monde was led by Belladonna, and that was reassuring to him. Even if it would be found, they now had a chance to fight it out as long as they had her.

Baraian knew he would eventually have to take the talk with Belladonna about his sudden decision and unfair way which he had made her the leader. She never asked for that burden after all. He knew that very well, but there was no choice according to him. Without her they would be as lost as before.

"Did the others make it?" He said in a hushed manner to Kuroi, his eyes however darting from side to side as if fearing he was being followed. At the first closest alleyway, Baraian tried to skulk into it.
