First Day Of Term At Kosei Academy: Tori Masui

Tori shifted the weight from her gym bag from one shoulder to the next, looking at the school as she entered through the doors, trying to drink in every little detail. The gate was new, much newer than the posts it stood on, and she knew that the school was only on its third year of students, before it had been owned by some wealthy Australian mining tycoon who had finally let the property go; it’s unusually large grounds and expansive rooms for the space-starved country that is Japan proving to be perfect for the school, although apparently it needed lots of renovations to make it suitable.

Her heart was pounding, although weather it was from the sensation of going to this school or due to the music pounding through her headphones, she wasn’t sure. She rubbed a spare hand across her chest, where just a week ago she had gotten a fresh tattoo, and once again shifted the gym bag; her wings getting in the way of it comfortably lying against her back. Her suitcase rattled along beside her, the hard plastic carrying her biker helmet and leather jumpsuit that consisted of her makeshift costume, as well as everything else she couldn’t fit in her gym bag. In front and behind, students streamed into the school, all carrying similar large bags, some escorted by parents, most of them not.

When she reached the reception, they were held up, before being handed out sheets of paper; maps, she realised, for the school and the dormitories. It looked as if the entire building was in a gigantic ‘U’ shape, with the grounds stretching out in the gap and past the top of the U. The right hand ‘arm’ of the building, she saw, was the dorms. Boys had the front half, girls the back half, and what with the entire building having three storeys each, it meant that every student could be comfortably accommodated for, although she realised that the toilets and showers were communal. That was… Slightly awkward, although she supposed that heroes would have to deal with a lot worse than showering with others of the same age bracket when actually hero-ing.

Along with the rest of the students, she shuffled and bumped her way through the crowd, until she finally reached her dorm. Class A-4, Female. She pushed the door open and looked around the room, being the first to get there. The first thought she had was how big the room was: it was easily as long as the entire circumference of her old apartment, although it was pretty narrow. Sets of bunks were set up against one wall, with each bunk corresponding to a wardrobe on the opposite side of the wall. She opened the wardrobe and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a divider splitting the middle, no bitching over everyone’s stuff getting muddled up. She also, however, noticed that some of the beds and wardrobes had specialist modifications to them, basically solidifying who would have to sleep with whom.

She saw a bed with extra reinforcements and almost immediately knew it was for her; for some reason everyone dramatically over-estimated the amount her wings weighed, and always over-compensated for that. On the bright side, they had been smart enough to leave the top bunk for her, probably recognising that she would need the room to stretch her wings out for a more natural sleep. The plaque next to the bunk read:

Top Bunk: Tori Masui (Reinforced)
Bottom Bunk: Ami Eindecker (Heated) @RumikoOhara

Eindecker? So, she would be sharing with someone not from Japan. That was interesting. She wondered why the bunk would need to be heated, before deciding to simply wait; she would get the information soon enough, if and when the girl herself walked in through the door. Because of this, and also partially to learn who she would be sleeping with, she had a look at the other bunks.

Top Bunk: Mine Onada (No modification)@Rune_Alchemist
Bottom Bunk: Margaret Flinkstein (Electromagnetic fibre-weave)@Sharksama

Flinkstein… She had no fucking clue where that name came from, but the modification was certainly unique. The entire bottom bunk was shrouded in some sort of shimmery black fabric, and it felt almost like she was constantly being shocked by static electricity when she touched it.

Top Bunk: Gahana Shoujyo (No modification)@Pudding
Bottom Bunk: Anneli Kallela (Chemical filter)@Skepic

Well, there was certainly a good few Japanese students here, which she supposed was a good thing. Why, however, anyone would need a chemical filter on their bunk, she had no clue. Deciding not to read any more plaques, she went and started to unpack, waiting for the first few to stream in.

High-moisture air-sealed area: Tula Kealoha @Pirouette

Ryu

Entering the Dorm

Ryu simply kept walking around the crowds, acoidong others as much as possible. Then again, his bat bag is kinda big and got in the way of a bunch of others who he couldn't care less about. The old mob boss ignores the gorl who entersfright in front of him and heads into Dorm 4-A Males.

He quickly puts his backpack fiiled with various suplies of lighters, candy cigs, a few bags of chips, a black handkerchief with the gang's signature logo (a white dragon)...and a picture of his mob in a necklace. He stares at all the old and young fools that followed him without hesitation...and he shakes his head. Quickly putting it on, he hides the necklace inside his shirt as he heads back outside to the class area. Ryu ties the black handkerchief around his wrist as usual as he leaves. Taking out a candy cig and lighting it with a lighter, the mobster carries the now enpty backpack (hid his supplies at his bunker) and still wearing his baseball bat case.

"I'll get you idiots out...even if I have to kill my way through."

Dante Mathers

Dante ran through the city with a big smile on his face. He would usually hide his smile, but today nothing could stop him. He finally arrived at the gates and had to stop and take a few moments to let the magnitude of the moment sink in. He had finally made it here; he was finally going to start going to the academy! He was carrying a lot of bags, but they didn’t weigh him down much. He had a suitcase, two violin cases, a bag slung over his arms and another bag handing from his neck. He might have brought a few too many things, but he wanted to make sure he had everything he needed. He quickly raised his hand to his mouth as he realised he had been smiling this whole time. He was fairly certain that his sharp teeth wouldn’t be that weird here, people probably wouldn’t even be bothered by his smile. But it had become a habit at this point, he didn’t like his smile. But sometimes he couldn’t help it.

He quickly made his way into the reception area, excited to find out where his room was. An idea for a song had come into his head on the way over, and he wanted to put his things down so he could write it down. He was handed a few sheets of paper as he entered the building. There were a lot of interesting and odd looking students here already, and he couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed. His short stature made it a little hard to make his way through the crowd, but he eventually shuffled his way through to his dorm room. Class A-4 Male. The building was a little complicated to navigate, but he eventually made his way there.

He opened the door to see a few sets of bunks, they all seemed empty at the moment though. Dante was immediately struck with a wave of nerves. He hadn’t been totally prepared to make friends at school, let alone live in a room with 5 other people. He hadn’t even shared a room with a sibling. He shook off the nerves and tried to prepare himself for the arrival of his room-mates.

“Now where am I sleeping” He said in English as he looked for some indication. His Japanese wasn't bad, but it wasn't his first language. He always thought and spoke to himself in English. It was useful though, it gave him an excuse to be nervous other than just being nervous all the time. People might not like him as much if he was a nervous wreck all the time, so he had to try his best to curb his insecurity. At least long enough for him to meet his classmates. He glanced around the room and noticed his name on one of the planks. He glanced up to the top of the bunk bed, wondering just how he was going to get his things up to the top. For a moment he cursed himself for being too short, before he got his cases and put the handles into his mouth. He bit down, trying not to make marks too deep in the handles. He struggled to climb his way up, but eventually made it up. He dumped his bags on the bed with a loud sigh. The bed was pretty comfortable, so at least that was pretty good. He looked down to his cases to see that they each had a line of his teeth marks in them.

“Dammit” He muttered to himself in English. “It’s not too bad, at least they are not very deep” But he quickly retrieved a book from one of his bag and began working towards jotting down a basic version of the song. He hummed along with his thoughts, trying not to be too loud

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As Lazarus walks through the school gates his heart starts pounding harder as he finally takes his first step in becoming a hero like his father. Lazarus takes a deep breath as he opens the door and walks inside, his heart beating faster. He heard the lively commotion of other students inside as he took a place in line for the reception desk, Lazarus the interior of the school. Kosei Academy was huge compared to his old school, it was a huge change that he liked because he had more breathing room. Lazarus studied some of the students and tried assessing their quirks, some of them looking like normal people while others looking rather bizarre to Lazarus. Lazarus also took a look at some of the girls also attending take a look each one of them, letting out a little chickle. "This is going to be a good school year I can feel it!" He said to himself as he envisioned himself being a formidable foe as well as being popular with the ladies.

Soon enough he was at the front of the line receiving his map for the dormitory and school. He walked away studying the map with one hand, carrying his duffel bag in the other. As he made his way through traffic bumping and squeezing in between people he reached his dorm. The door had 'Class A-4' printed on it, he opened the door and saw a boy writing in a book. Lazarus smiled at the boy and walked inside closing the door behind him, the room was pretty big and had many beds inside. He didn't think there would be this many people sleeping in one room, Lazarus looked around the room and saw that the bunks had plaques on them with names indicating who is sleeping in which bed. He saw that him and the boy would be sharing the same bunk bed. "Whats up, the name is Lazarus, Lazarus Zale, and you are..." he said drifting off as he took a look at the plaque on the top bunk reading the name on it. "Dante Mathers, nice to meet you" Lazarus said putting his duffel bag on the bed and sticking his hand out towards Dante.

~Mine Onada~

@Dannyrulx

Unlike the other students who were likely swarming towards the Academy, there was one student who while not taking her time, didn't seem to be in any particular rush to arrive. She walked through the gate, two bags slung over her shoulder and a suitcase in her hand with a cool, almost expressionless face as she crossed the gates into the school. She paid little mind to those she was walking alongside, as well as very little mind to the decoration. Filed away as unneeded for now. She had other things to think about other than trivial architecture, such as her dorm, her clothing, and making sure she got settled in correctly. Not to mention, making a few connections within the school and weeding out any troublesome students.

So with set goals in mind, Mine made her way unassumingly towards the reception. Being both short and rather slim in nature made quite a few people unaware of her presence, or at the very least made them underestimate her. Which was just the way she preferred it. It was easier to accomplish things if you didn't make yourself a nuisance or known so much to others. Most students that did take note of her, were quickly thrown off by her curt and rather blunt manner of speaking as well as her somewhat aloof seeming nature. Unfortunate, really. She would have loved to strike up a conversation and get to know one of them a bit, but there was a time and place for everything. Right now, she needed to get to her dorm and collect her things in order...hopefully before her roommates arrived so she could do that with as little hassle as possible.

Thankfully, it didn't take her long to reach reception. She was handed a map, a few other various sheets of paper, and a few other important things before thanking the receptionist and heading to the dorms. Getting there was easily enough, moving through the crowds wasn't that difficult. Arriving at the door, Mine pushed it open and took a quick look around. Unfortunately it seemed as if she wasn't the first one there. Ah well, not that big of a deal, but she wasn't going to be making small talk for the moment. She gave a polite bow to Tori Masui, and moved to find her bunk.

She climbed to the top of her bunk after quickly finding it, placing her two bags on the top bunk whilst leaving her suitcase at the base of the bed for now. One of the cases, contained a laptop and a few laptop accessories. The other some basic notebooks as well as some reading material for downtime. Only when she was done unpacking her laptop and a few of her books and leaving them on her bunk, did Mine finally decide to speak up and return whatever greeting Tori would have given.

"Tori Masui?" From a simple deduction with the information at hand, she could rightly assume this was Tori Masui, at least. She climbed down from the top bunk and walked over to her suitcase. "Mine Onada. I suppose we'll be roommates for now."

Tori had been humming away, most of her stuff unpacked, and she had just started fiddling with her laptop when she heard someone talk to her. She slipped her headphones off and looked at the girl, managing to get the words "-Ine Onada. I suppose we'll be roomates for now." Mine Onada, she recalled from the plaque, before half-bowing from her crossed legged position. "And classmates I assume, judged by the fact that 'Class A-4' is on the front of the door." Tori's emails pinged loudly as she worked out the code for the wifi. Email from her mum, separate one from her dad, a couple of her friends, a coupon from her tattoo parlour... She decided to not reply to any, and instead work out what Mine's quirk was. She had no extras on her bunk, so she was likely an active emitter or a transformer. Hmm...

Fuck it, why not take a gamble and just ask the girl herself? Tori's wings, which had been tucked away behind her, flared out, taking up all of the remaining room on her bunk and even crossing the gap between the beds in order to take up a little more. "I'm... Er... Well. As you can see, Mutant class. I've got avian traits. I've got an actual falcon too, but he couldn't come with; the school apparently doesn't have facilities for birds of prey to be kept..." she paused, realising she was getting off-topic, before continuing: "Sorry, bad habit of mine. What's your quirk then?"

Margaret Flinkstein

Soft clicking noises were heard as Margaret made her way into the Academy, suitcase rolling behind her. She shook her head, deep in thought as she remembered what she brought. 'Underwear, check! Clothes, check! Phone...' She rummaged through the bag that was slung over her should, digging through it to pull out the small device. "Check," she confirmed with a nod. Then, the phone buzzed from within her palm.

Approaching the reception area, she rolled her eyes at who was calling. It was Yesda, of course. This didn't surprise her. She answered the phone and spoke before the old hag got the chance. "I didn't forget anything, promise."

"100% sure? You never check before you leave the house. This Academy is pretty far away, and..."

Meg hung up quickly, stuffing the phone back into her bag. 'No time for that right now.' She hummed quietly to herself as she collected the map and a few sheets of paper she knew she wouldn't care about, and made her way to the dormitory.

Apparently, some of her roommates were there before her. "What's up?" she said calmly and coolly, not too excited to start school again. She walked over to her bed and tilted her head at the fabric surrounding it. "Interesting... I get the bottom bunk."

She dropped her stuff next to the bed, turning around to face the other two females in the room. "Margaret Flinkstein, but please call me Meg." Her eyes gleamed mischievously from behind her glasses.

Dante Mathers

Dante was intently focusing on his music, he had composed most of the song, it just needed to be cleaned up and actually played. As he was adding the finishing touches, a voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts. He quickly looked forward, quite startled at the boy’s introductions. He put his book beside him and shuffled towards the boy.

“I-Its nice to meet you” He said as he reached out and shook his hand. His Japanese was archaic and a bit clunky, but it was defiantly understandable. His nerves were skyrocketing, he hadn’t expected people to arrive so soon, but he had to deal with it eventually so he did his best. “Lazarus was it?” He leaned over the bed and looked at the plaque. It was an odd name; one he hadn’t heard before. He couldn’t tell if it was foreign or not.

“W-Well, it looks like we are going to be classmates.” He said as he ran his hand though his hair. “I wonder if every bed is going to be taken. And what kind of quirks are they going to have.” He was a big nerd when it came to quirks, he loved to see really different and interesting ones. His quirk was a little less than interesting, all he could do was bite things. A smile spread across his face as he glanced to the other beds. At this point, Dante started rambling. “It doesn’t look like we have and special beds, so there isn’t anything too weird. Did you know that they make special beds for people with weird quirks? I heard they even have beds that had like chemical filters. What kind of quirks would need a bed like that? I wonder if we-“He then cut himself off abruptly as he raised a hand to his mouth. He realised that he had been smiling the whole time, putting his teeth on full display. He glanced back to the Lazarus nervously.

“S-Sorry about that, I kinda ramble when I get excited…” He said, keeping his hand in front of his mouth. He was unbelievably embarrassed; he had just started rambling in front of someone he had only just met. He slowly lowered his hand from his face. “Well my quirk is having sharp teeth” He said, trying to continue the conversation. “It’s not that impressive, but I’ll find some way to use them so I can help people. What’s your quirk like?” He asked. He wasn’t sure if it was okay to just ask someone that, but he personally didn’t see an issue with it. He was excited to know how powerful the people he was bunking with might be.

A mutant class with Avian traits? Well, that was blatantly obvious. Not exactly something that she was making an attempt to hide. Seemed as though Tori also had a laptop as well. Hmm, perhaps getting along with Tori would be easy, then? Judging from the look of her she would at least be fairly fun to be around. Maybe not the most fun to tease, but that had remained to be tested. For now though, she would form amicable relations with Tori, then. She seemed rather shy about it or at least unsure, so she wouldn't press the girl further about her abilities. Mine opened her suitcase, taking out a few articles of clothing and setting about putting them in the wardrobe. Most of her attire consisted of casual business attire and the odd swim-suit looking article or two.

"Curious," Mine replied in response to the girls comment about the falcon as she set about putting her clothing up. Mine was not one to shy away from small talk unless she was busy with something important, so she certainly did not mind letting the girl ramble a bit if she wanted. "I would think they would let you have it around campus as long as you would be able to take care of it and it wasn't a nuisance. Perhaps bring it anyways? It isn't like they can say no once it was here. Finishing with putting her wardrobe away, Mine closed the suitcase and left it on the ground near the bottom bunk before turning to give Tori a small smile.

"Hmm...my Quirk?" She adjusted her glasses as she thought for a moment. There were a few ways she could go about showcasing it...but a little example would always be best, no? Raising one of her hands...Tori would suddenly find a large barrier form only a few inches in front of her, completely obscuring her vision of Mine from the other side. The luminescent barrier lasted only a few moments, as Mine didn't wish to show off more than necessary. "As you just saw, simply put, I am an emitter class. My body emits certain subatomic particles that I can cause to gravitate together to form into reflective barriers of certain sizes and shapes in limited range around me." That was about as in depth of an explanation Mine was willing to give, really. There was certainly a bit more to it, but it was the only information Tori needed to know.

Just as she finished her little demonstration it seemed one of their other roommates showed up. The one she'd be sharing a bunk with, Margaret Flinkstein...well, she'd be lying if Mine didn't say she found her to be various levels of cute. Not to mention, she just liked the look of Meg for whatever reason. Hmm...

"Mine Onada. Pleasure to meet you, Meg. We were just telling each other what our quirks were."

Ami climbed out of a cab which had stopped just outside Kosei Academy and waited as the Cab drive fetched her luggage taking the time to look over the buildings that were soon to be her home while attending the school. The diver was cheerful as he turned to bid her farewell then he blanched and scurried into his car because she appeared to be smoking because of the humidity when in fact she was creating a denser layer of moisture into fog. Then sighing she grabbed her bags and headed in through the gates.

She followed the directions to her room she’d draw up before coming here after careful study of the floor plans provided in the brochures. She knew the stares she was getting were because she liked wearing sparkling clothing because it hid the ice crystals that sometimes formed on her.

Soon she was walking through the door to her dorm room and stopping just inside the door and looking at the bunks and matching them with their Wardrobe numbers. Finding her’s she walked over and checked to see that the heater had been installed so that she wouldn’t annoy her roommates by dropping the room temperature.

Good they had used the same mattress and heater combination she slept on at home so she wouldn’t be subjected discomfort as they adjusted the padding and heaters she thought as she tested it by dropping down and bouncing on it with her but and giggling. She was so happy to be here because it gave her more time to think about where her life was headed without parental love and pressure.

Margaret Flinkstein

Meg listened to the conversation and tried to follow along, but she instead resorted to examining the laptop of Tori’s. No matter how many times she saw what was used to make the device, she still felt a tingle inside of her that made her want to tear it apart and build something out of it.

As she mentioned Quirks, Meg snapped her head back to Mine. ‘What a silly name,’ she thought, then laughed a little to herself. “Seeing through electronic devices to see what they're made of, that's my Quirk. Yesda says it's natural in our family, and it's been carried down from generation to generation.” She gestured to her bottom-half of the bunk bed, with the fiber-weave around it. “Explains a lot, huh?”

Meg turned her head to see a new girl plop down on her bed. Her eyes lit up as she analyzed the heater. “Must be cold to the touch, huh?” She joked, not actually knowing her Quirk. Then, ever so slightly, she scooted over to the bed, an unusually intense look on her face.“...Later, do you mind if I take a look at your heater? I've never examined one up close before, and I'd like to see what's inside.” She slowly moved to look under the mattress, but stopped, knowing that this girl probably wouldn't let her.

Lazarus

The boy seemed friendly yet nervous at the same time, "Yeah looks like we are going to be classmates" Lazarus said replying to him. Lazarus turned around and opened the wardrobe that was behind him, it a good amount of space. He grabbed his duffel bag and placed it inside the wardrobe. When Lazarus turned back to the Dante he could see his razor sharp teeth, Dante explained that his quirk was having Sharp teeth. Lazarus never really seen a quirk like that up close and in person it seemed pretty cool to him and he wondered what it was like having a mutant or transformation type quirk.

Dante soon asked what kind of quirk Lazarus has, "my quirk gives me geokinesis abilities, allowing me to mold the ground around me" Lazarus said smirking, his quirk was quiet versatile in terms of offense and defense. "I wouldn't mind showing you but we are in doors, I don't want to mess anything up" Lazarus said smirking, "Hey quick question, if you break your teeth will they grow back? Lazarus said questioning it, if it was true it would almost be like Dante was a shark boy. "Also how strong are your teeth, like what is the hardest thing you took a bite of" as Lazarus asked more questions he began to become more and more curious about the limitations of the boys quirk. Lazarus laid down in his bed, hands behind his head looking up at the bottom of the top bunk.

After going through a list in his head for what jobs he has to do later, and other necessities in case to buy if the cafeteria served bad food/expensive meals. The mobster starts going over what were the different rooms and such...hoping that one of them actually said kitchen and training facility of sorts. Might as well work on his ability quickly before doing whatever their teacher wanted them to do later.

Going back to the two dorms first, he heads inside to the boys quickly to grab a bag of chips hidden in his bunk. He flat out ignores the other two who were there, not really there to make friends but to get his friends out. He looks at the two very carefully...then hurries off with his bag. He noticed the girls' dorm's door ajar a bit and shrugs. Again, he didn't really care for the others so far. None of them seemed like important individuals nor people who would flat out kill him on sight. He would much rather head back to the main lobby to finish smoking the minty candy cig in peace.

A shrouded figure slowly made its way onto the school grounds of Kosei Academy. One the aids handing out maps nearly yelped when it approached her for a map, and a simple tired sigh was all it emitted as it continued on its way into the school. Glancing around, it took in the sights of the school, the general bustle of the crowd, and smiled a bit, seemingly happy that it was as now pretty much as far as far could it get from its homeland.

It finally arrived at its destination, having to have lugged a heavy backpack, another large duffel bag, and fairly large laptop case the entire time. Standing before the entrance to the Class A-4 dorms for girls. With a heavy, and for once, intentional sigh, she made her way into the room. For this was the beginning of Anneli Kallela's story, here at Kosei Academy.

As Anneli entered, she pushed back her hood, attempting to appear at least somewhat polite and friendly, to what affect is yet to be seen. Before her were her prospective roommates and immediately a decent amount of good faith she had started with at this school disappeared. Before her were some normal looking students with the exception of the Avian Mutant. "No voi vittu...." she muttered under her breath when she saw the winged girl. Here she was, about as far away from Finland as one could get, trying to escape her past, and a fucking Avian mutant was her roommate. Now with a heavier, more seething sigh, she made her way to the bunk, only to be further annoyed.

Bottom bunk? Bottom god damn bunk? Shaking her head, she put down her luggage on the bunk and gave a weary stretch. This whole time, she had purposefully not payed any mine to the roommates who were seemingly happily chatting away with meet and greet type small talk. One girl was looking at the bed of another girl, who was even somehow even more paler than herself, while the other simply conversed with the Avian type. From what Anneli could gather, they were talking about each other's quirks. Against instinct, she approached the little group and with a small wave introduced herself once there was a chance for her to do so.

"Hello, I'm Anneli... Kallela. Nice to... meet... you all. I guess you'll.... be my... classmates." she said her trademark raspy voice, practically pausing every few seconds to breath. God she hated this.

Long Day

Even More So With This Asshole

Interacting with @cloudystar

Garin looked up to the large sign outside of the school a mild glare in his eyes from the rising sun.

Kosei Academy

He cleared his throat. "Kosei Academy, so...what do you have for store in me, hm?" he mumbled quietly to himself before picking up his bags and walked to the front door. Thankfully, someone was kind enough to open the door for him, with their mind of course but needless to say he thanked...the wrong person before entering, earning a funny look to which he took no notice of. In fact, he had earned a lot of looks, mostly because every person he walked past had their hair standing on end thanks to his electrifying personality?

"RUDE!" Garin turned around, raising a brow before shrugging it off and continuing on, unaware of what had happened. He was focused, intent on checking himself in before doing anything else. He asked around a bit on where to check in before someone from the student government hastily helped him out. Hastily because her little fanboy group had been following her for sometime and needed help getting out of the predicament. When Garin had stepped forward to ask for assistance, she quickly took him by the hand, talking about haven't seen him in years and whatnot. As confusion rested on his face, he was lead to one of the offices meant to assign new students and previous students their beds. It was in the front lobby like the rest of the offices. How he skipped over it was beyond him but nevertheless he followed but not before taking notice to @cloudystar a boy smoking a cigarette. He stopped for a moment and watched as he passed and simply raised a brow. 'We can smoke here?'

"Name please..." Stated the staff as they skimmed through papers, most likely trying to find his.

"Oh...Uhhh...Garin von Sturm." He said with a smile and was shortly handed a few pages to sign.

"Ohh Mr.Sturm, your bed has been fitted with a faraday cage for safety reasons." The staff member handed him his papers along with his schedule, room assignment and a few other things.

"A wha?"

"Fara- You'll see." Wide eyed for a moment before settling back to his normal lackadaisical expression. He simply grabbed his belongings and made his way to his room.

4-A seemed to be the males dorm and it was quite the place. It held its own lounge, though not as equipped as his other school's was but a lounge nonetheless. The elecbtrical boy managed to find his room and walked in with a sigh.

Taking out his phone he held the home button. "Siri-" its screen changed.

boop

"What is a Faraday cage" He asked with a bit of concern. His phone brought up a picture.

A Faraday cage or Faraday shield is an enclosure formed by conductive material or by a mesh of such material, used to block electric fields. Faraday cages are named after the English scientist Michael Faraday, who invented them in 1836 Garin remained silent for a nodded before clicking his tongue.

"Faraday cage...riiiiiight." He repeated with a hint of defeat but there were other things that needed to be done like unpacking, finding his classrooms, meeting people, having a smoke...

A smoke...

With a light cough he set his things in his locker and locked it before making his way to the lobby with a cigarette in his mouth. Funny enough the boy that he saw smoking not too long ago was still there. Since they were both smokers, he figured he could start a conversation with that.

Moving off to the boy's side in visable range he turned to him, his hard but laxed look meeting the mob bosses own.

"Think you can spare a light? Kinda ran out of fluid for mine." He asked with a smooth calm voice. He kept it short sweet and to the point. It was a school for delinquents basically and the worst way to start was with a peppy attitude and this guy didn't seem the type to enjoy that. If anything, maybe didn't want to be bothered at all. Worth a shot.

Tori knew the shock would show on her face.
She knew, and she hated it.
Even today, mutations could still be horrible, disfiguring, scarring things, and here was living proof of that, and she must feel like shit every time some 'lucky' person with a non-disfiguring quirk showed that mix of surprise and fear flash across their faces. She barley whispered the apology out, but she said it none the less. Did that count? Did she dare say it louder? No. She wouldn't.

"Hi. I'm Tori. We were... Just discussing our quirks. You're..." She tried to pin down the naming. European, for sure. Maybe English? No, it didn't sound right, nor did it sound like mainland European. "You're Scandinavian?" she ventured, hoping that she wouldn't fuck it up and somehow cause more insult.

Yeah, she had noticed that. She may be wearing contact lenses still, but she recognised when someone completely deflated upon seeing something, and it didn't take a genius to figure out that the only person obviously noticeable in the room was her and her wings. Maybe she had just had bad experiences with Avians, but she was still pissed at the girl suddenly turning hostile towards her. @Skepic

"Oh gosh! I'm so totally late I can't believe - excuse me, pardon me - can't believe I slept in on such an important day." Of course of all days, Gahana had to sleep and miss her alarm, now she was in a rush and a little frantic, worried about possibly being chastised for her tardiness. The last thing she could want, only five minutes on the campus and she'd already have spot on her record. The thought made her shudder as she pulled her large suitcase behind her with another bag slung over left shoulder. Within her suitcase were tops, skirts, dresses, swimsuits, accessories, some gummy and a spare blanket. Inside her bag? More clothes, makeup and hair utensils. These are the things that Gahana had packed, her mother, being the saint she was. Packed her some actual stationary equipment to study with, alongside a few mementos from home. They were both a nice hot pink of course, making her stand out from the crowd. Some people were kind enough to move out of her way as pile-drove her way through the crowd apologizing to every second person.

Just to double check what she needed to do, she pulled out her bedazzled phone and checked the instructions sent to her email. The phone reflected light like a ruby crystal, it seemed really expensive but Gahana styled it herself with a cheap kit she bought from Harujuku during a school trip. Opening up the email, she swiftly confirmed where the reception desk would be and continued on her way as fast as possible without using her quirk. She was happy to attract attention, but not, that kind of attention. She said hello to the reception desk, they didn't seem fazed by her appearance. Gahana chalked it up to probably seeing mutant class students, she read up online about them and they looked pretty cool. Although some looked a little freaky but they probably had a nice personality.

Map in hand, Gahana made her way to her dorm room. It was obvious she would be the last person there, considering how late she was. Gripping the doorknob, she twisted it, letting herself into a small group.
"Sorry sorry! ★ I'm normally not this late at all I'm having a really off.. day..." She paused suddenly during her cry. It looked like a pretty interesting group, they all looked different and probably each had their own interesting story to tell. Excited to meet new people and make new friends her heat beat pounded strongly in her chest.
"Sorry everyone, I was just like, so totally flustered being so late and unorganized. I'm Gahana Shoujyo! You can all call me Hana★! I'm sure we'll all have a fun time being together!"

The Professor

The bell trilled loudly out, and Tori shrugged to her roomates. The map had said that all lessons would be taught on the opposite end of the huge building. She slipped her laptop into a messenger bag in case it was needed, before slipping on her headphones and popping some gum into her mouth.

The students filtered into the room slowly he saw. The files they had were not detailed, but they did showcase the quirks and a little of the backstory of the individuals he would be teaching. Some were normal, lower-middle class families, perhaps slight troublemakers, but here due to the cost of the more prestigious schools. Some were here because despite almost everything being handed to them, they had consistently underachieved. Yet others…

The professor stepped out of the air, his body juddering as he shifted back into matter. The class seemed shocked, as did most when they suddenly saw a man in a suit, tie and mask suddenly step out of literally nothing, and he bowed in the European way before speaking to Japanese.

“Hello class A-4. My name is ‘The Professor.’ You may call me this, just ‘Professor’ or ‘Sir.’ I expect a great deal of you do not know me, and that is fine, because I don’t expect forgein superheroes to make a great deal of impact on other countries. In England, however, I am one of the most famous third-generation heroes of all time. My quirk, as I just demonstrated, is a little more complicated than simply becoming corporeal at will, but for now, treat it as such.”

“Firstly, I would like to remind you of a number of rules. These are as follows. One: I expect no gum when I am within this classroom with you. I shall excuse you this one time, and if we are outside the classroom, you can chew it.” At this, he pointedly looked at Tori. “I will also not have harassment, teasing, bullying, or anything else you may wish to call it. The fact that I can be anywhere, at any time and be completely invisible should hopefully deter some of you from doing so. Ladies, take my solemn word that I shall never enter your showers.” A slight smile played across his lips as he finished the sentence before he continued “That being said, I do appreciate that boys will be boys and girls will be girls. I expect if you have arguments, and even fights, to not use your quirks to lethal effect in them, and I expect the older girls and boys to reign in anything you regard as ‘over the top’ behaviour. This is a lot of trust I have placed in you, do not let me seem stupid.”

“However the one thing I refuse to tolerate is this.” The man stormed across the room and picked up the case in which contained the baseball bat from next to Ryu @cloudystar. After he had secured it, he calmed down, before finishing with; “Now then, rather than sitting in a dusty classroom all day, why don’t we meet outside at the area marked ‘jump activities’ on your maps, eh?” With this, the professor stepped backwards, and once again seemingly vanished to the students in front of him, as well as the baseball bat. Upon seeing them start to talk among themselves, he followed up with “Walk and talk ladies and gents, you should leave any gadgets behind,” before hurrying ahead to the area where they would see him next.

Ryu

Ryu was going to offer the candy cig to the guy who asked it. Deja vu was a funny thing, since the one who helped make the candy cigs joined the mob of Ryu's the same way. However, the bell was ringing and they did have to file out...and Ryu simply threw the cig down to stomp it out.

"I'll give you a few after this is over...and cigs that won't kill you but be addicting."

Now in the class, Ryu was bored out of his mind when the teacher went on and on about the rules. Ugh rules, they were just useless means of controlling people. Just state things you don't want to see happen instead of saying rules...idiots. Much more effective too and plus there weren't even stated punishments. No ruling by example...course there weren't. Ryu wasn't paying any attention until the man tried to take his baseball bat case...his baseball...case.

"Hold up, you take this, you can take my Quirk as well. Where this goes, I go...that's the end of it."

He held it hard with his hand and stands up as well. This baseball bat was his life, ranked as important as his necklace...his handkerchief, and his mob. There was nothing he would trust as a weapon or tool to defend himself. There was no way he was going to give it up without a fight...and he had a pretty damn serious face on as he faced the teacher. After all, all he saw was another officer on the side of good pricks in his way...

Long Day

Open to Interactions

He finished up his cigarette just in time for the bell...

Oh shit!

He didn't have time to find his classes but luckily he did manage to find it. Once he entered, he sat next to @Dannyrulx a winged girl. Needless to say everyone's hair in the close proximity of him stood on edge, hers even more so. A few minutes went by before he turned to her and smiled, slightly nervous. She was cute and his faced blushed every so slightly. "Umm...Heya...Well, since we're going to be in the same class together might as well start to learn each other's names. My name is Garin. Garin von Sturm. What's yours?"

He hoped she would answer, but wasn't sure if she would. After a moment however the teach made quite the entrance for himself, earning a gasp from a few people but not from him. More or less just wide eyes of interest. The Professor gave his speech, tactfully glancing at her before ceasing the bag from the boy he met. Without giving away his opinion via body language, he simply kept his neutral expression. 'Guess he's the troublemaker of the class. Hope there ain't a fanbase for him. God I hope I don't room with him.' he thought quietly to himself. In fact, he didn't even have a chance to meet his roommate. Time will tell supposedly.

Now what had interest him was that they left their gadgets behind. He wondered if that was for his sake less he pay thousands for destroyed electronics. With another light cough he stood up and made his way out but stopped at the door and waited for the winged girl, gesturing for her to go before him. As he walked with the class he glanced over at her. "Mutant class? Pretty cool, must be fun flying without having to pay airfare, hmhmhm." He chuckled lightly.

'WHAT KINDA CHEESY STUPID BULLSHIT WAS THAT! JUST FUCKED UP YOUR CHANCES GARIN! WAY TO GO! He cussed himself out mentally as he walked, deciding to place his hands behind his head, slight lean to his walk.
