Two more days to a year that I'm not supposed to be counting. The little Tom Hanks in my soul is marking days without you. Castaway on an island surrounded by an ocean of tears getting deeper daily.

Two months and a week. I miss you. This sucks. Is it bad that I pretend that you PCS'd and will be back before long? Then I remember you're gone and won't be back even if I wished it. And I do. Daily.

Two months, four days. I miss you. Can't listen to Mike and the Mechanics "In The Living Years" anymore. It came on at work yesterday as the last song and I cried.

Bio

Ugh...I hate this part. So I'm super into Sailor Moon...which no one else is...and that's okay. I also really love Items, Escaflowne, Vampire Knight, Fushigi Yugi, Ah My Goddess, K Dramas, Chinese and Tiwanise Dramas as well. I torture people by making them read the TV.

Oh this is where I tell you I'm American...and I just lost a few people but oh well. Trust me if I could afford to live overseas I would. So yeah...that's me.

Siobhan was on a mission. She had seen a new flower shop open and was intent on getting some photos to take as studies to paint as an add in to the collection that had sold so well. She parked the new/old Stingray across the street and hurried into the shop.

She was looking boho chic in a white lace dress that she had bought in Jamaica and a replica of Audrey Hepbun’s hat in Breakfast At Tiffany’s and gold strappy heels. The wind fluttered her dress and tossed her coppery red hair around as she pulled off her large dark sunglasses and walked into The Golden Flower.

The Golden Flower was gorgeous. The arrangements were artfully done and there was no end to the color that sprang vividly out at her. Yes this shop screamed “PAINT ME!!!” to her. She walked up to the girl at the counter. Who, among the riot of color. was like a pretty little wren.

The girl’s eyes were a soft brown and her hair looked even softer. “Hi. Are you by chance the owner?”

The girl giggled and Siobhan dropped her age to late teens rather than in her twenties. “No Mr. Reyes is not here at the moment.”

Siobhan was a little let down and her shoulders fell a little bit. “Oh. Um would you give him my card? I’d love to take photos and paint the place.”

“Sure thing Miss!!” The girl called and waved.

Siobhan smiled and walked out waving back. Getting back into the black Stingray she heads over to Swan Songs for a vinyl of a couple of artist’s rolling around in her head. Mostly rock but her mother’s birthday was coming up and she had yet to get her a gift. Little Red Corvette came over the radio and Siobhan turned it up singing along.

Prince sang about his lover as Siobhan drew looks from people. Because who doesn’t look at a Stingray? Or for that matter turn to see where the sounds of Prince are coming from?

Siobhan texted Joel. Headed to Swan Songs to pick out something for you to play at work. She chuckled at the thought of him reading it and groaning thinking she’d pick up something like Celiene Dion. Or Toni Braxton. She turned off the car and got out. She made sure her camera was hung safely around her neck. Can’t leave that in the car.

She was parked next to a sleek looking Bentley that screamed old money. She almost did a double take thinking maybe her mom was here but the car wasn’t the powder blue color that her mother favored. She could remember that awful dress that her mother made her wear to her first recital when she was playing piano. Siobhan mentally thanked any deity who was listening that she didn’t have to relive that again. Siobhan pushed the memory aside and walked toward Swan Songs.

The bell rang faintly as the noise came barreling over her as she opened the door. I didn’t realize they had sound proofing in this place. I guess it helps. She got out of the way of the door and looked around. Ugh fan girls two o’clock. Must be The Sirens. Victoria’s baby daddy...Ethan was it? I think so. Last time anything included fans the place was trashed. RIP Club...uh...Ethanol? No...Earther? Nope...eh whatever. The vinyl section was open as was most of the sections that didn’t have a karaoke booth and KJ set up. I will not get dragged into karaoke. Not today. I’m all for vinyl heaven. See if I can’t get a good Kiss album or something.

Siobhan made a beeline for the section that held records. Siobhan wasn’t short by any means and in three inch heels she was six foot even. She almost bumped into a tall man that had really nice dreads. They reminded her of Jamaica and the locals. She smiled in apology and moved along.

Looking around her eye was caught by a girl with a guitar who looked a little nervous. Siobhan smiled at the sight and wished the girl luck. She hoped that the girl was able to play while she was there so she could hear her.

Finally breaking away from the crowd Siobhan was able to get to the vinyls. They were lined out by genre and in alphabetical order. She was browsing for a good few minutes, looking for something for Joel to play at the shop or at his place. When she ran into someone. She reached out and clasped a strong forearm so as not to fall over as she teetered on her heels. She managed not to fall over, but just.

Her clear blue eyes looked up at her victim/rescuer and she smiled winningly. “Forgive me. If I had been watching where I was going I wouldn’t have run into you.” Siobhan patted his arm lightly with her long delicate fingers. She looked down at the music that he had chosen. “You know I can’t seem to get over the fact that for some reason I really like Eminem’s older music. Not that his newer albums are anything to sneeze at but it’s an opinion.”

How often do you have time to post? Every day/couple times a week when busy with life.

Sounds like you'd be a 3-4 or so on a scale of 1 to 5.
And I'm gonna get Ethan in here as well

Siobhan smiled brightly at Joel giving him a kiss easily and reaching for the daffodils, her favorite. I remember the comment that lead to him learning that they were my favorite. She was almost too caught up in that memory to her his comment. Siobhan blushed bright rose pink on her cheeks and cleared her throat. The kids were giggling Gwen especially. Peter snorted and rolled his eyes pouting. Natalie made a gagging noise which made Aaron and Gwen giggle more as Tara shushed them and sighed smirking at the sight.

She looked up at Joel smirking. “You know daffodils represent respect, chivalry, modesty and faithfulness, right?”

Peter cleared his throat. “So Siobhan who is this?” He pointed to Joel.

It was Tara’s turn to roll her eyes at Peter. “Her beau duh. You boys are so stupid. Can’t see anything ‘till it’s pointed out to ya by a female.”

Siobhan gave them both a disapproving face. “That’s enough. Yes this is my boyfriendJoel-”

Aaron was a blur of excitement as he ran over to Joel and Siobhan. “Nicolosi!!!! With Rebellion Racing!!!!! Vaughn you’re the best!!! He won third in the FIA World Rally!!!!”

Siobhan laughed that unconsciously sexy laugh as she squeezed Joel’s hip lightly and looked from Aaron up to Joel. Her gaze turned from mirth to a smoldering sensuality. Only to snap back to reality and mock glared at him. It was obvious where her mind was.

She shook her head smirking and crouching down she looked Aaron in the eye. “Yeah and I bet if you’re really nice he might just give you an autograph. He likes to sign his name on all kinds of things.”

Gwen took advantage of the fact that Siobhan was in hugging range and ran up to her with brush in hand grass green water color all over it. As Gwen hugged Siobhan the brush forgotten went right into Siobhan’s hair and left a cold wet line from her ear to the middle of her cheek.

Siobhan jerked at the cold wetness and gently grabbed the brush from Gwen who had fat tears rolling down her cheeks. “Hey it’s okay Gwennie. I do it myself all the time. Ask Joel. He finds paint all over me all the time. Let’s look at what you’ve got so far.” Siobhan gave the little sprite eskimo kisses and butterfly kisses making the little girl giggle as they walked over to her painting. Siobhan looked back over at Joel and winked at him in an overly dramatic way.

Peter was glaring daggers at Joel. Tara was painting and watching Peter and Joel out of the corner of her eye laughing silently. Henri and Natalie had joined Aaron in rapid fire excited chatter about fast cars, what made them fast, was it true that they could talk like Cars, did you feed them Red Bull to make them go faster, what kind of car did he prefer to race with, was he going to race again soon and could they get his autograph because everyone at school would think they were so cool.

Siobhan was setting up for one of the lessons that she had booked. Well they had booked her since she was ever present in the community and had recently had a fantastic show about a month ago. Lexi, her agent had nearly fainted when she got the cheque.

Lexi insisted that with this amount of money that you have to think of it with a que rather than ck at the end. Siobhan had rolled her eyes at the comment and shook her head. Then she saw the numbers on the cheque. Yeah I think I didn’t blink for three minutes. I can donate most of it to charity and live on the rest for a good long while. Not that I will quit but I can slow down somewhat. Wonder what Joel would think? Or Paige and Milo? She was grinning just thinking about it.

“Vaughn!!!” A towheaded girl of five curls bouncing lept at Siobhan. Siobhan quickly dropped the brushes and the paints spinning around just catching the girl who giggled. “You never miss!!!!”

Siobhan laughed and the sound turned heads. Her laugh was like a siren call. More than one girlfriend, wife and mother smacked their boyfriend, husband and teenage son for staring at Siobhan.

Giving the little girl a hug and tickling her was the normal greeting for them. As a young boy of about seven started collecting the materials that were dropped. “Gwen is just excited to see you Vaughn.”

Siobhan grinned at Henri, the seven year old boy. “Just like you’re happy to see me too, right Henri?”

Henri nodded but looked serious his light brown eyes clear and bright with excitement. “Of course. What are we painting today?”

“Flowers in the park, ya dumb dumb.” A young girl with mouse brown hair replied. She was carrying canvas and had placed it next to Siobhan’s own. She had a hat on and her curls peaked out from underneath.

A handsome teenage boy with shoulder length dark hair mussed the curly haired girls hair and hat. “Natalie that wasn’t nice. Apologize to Henri.” He smirked and rolled his eyes as Natalie grumbled out an apology. “Hello Siobhan how are you today?”

Siobhan smiled as she set up the easel and paints for the shy little nine year old boy who had followed after Henri. “I’m great Peter. You?”

“Fantastic, now that I see you.” Peter laid it on thick grinning like a love sick fool and Siobhan was oblivious to the fact that the boy had a crush on her.

A blonde teenage girl bumped into Peter seemingly by accident. “My bad Pete. Didn’t mean to intrude but we have a limited time to get things set up before our parents come back.” Tara went immediately to help the shy little boy with golden blonde hair and brown eyes get things set up. “Come on Aaron let’s get you started.”

“Sheesh Tara be more careful.” Peter being the normal teenage boy was the last to realize that, of course, Tara did it on purpose and that she had a crush on him.

It was plain to see that Peter, Natalie and Henri were siblings. While Natalie, Aaron and Gwen were all siblings as well. The resemblance to each other was undeniable.

They all set up to start the lesson the youngest three with watercolors, easier to wash out, the three oldest with acrylics. With aprons on and brushes in hand they all watched Siobhan eagerly. “So pick something to paint.” Siobhan indicated the trees that were just starting to fully recover from winter. “Sometimes I paint from memory or imagination. I also paint from pictures.”

Peter looked over at Siobhan from around his currently blank canvas. “Mom has a piece of yours from your earlier work. ‘Fey Lights’ it’s beautiful. But I expect anything from you would be.”

Tara snorted and Peter glared at her. Tara blinked innocently and Peter shook his head looking back at Siobhan smiling. Siobhan glanced up at Peter with a quick smile and leaned down to catch what Aaron was saying.
