I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

Hard to keep track of where everyone is in the fight, but the post was made with the following assumptions:

-The throne room was maybe 30-40 feet wide and 60-70 feet long.

-It had cathedral ceilings, which were several stories above the floor.

-Helga was slightly behind Sue, off to the side, as she was struck by Sue's wind attack when she was hurled at Janet. (Best boy might want to just stop throwing things.)

-Justine and Lily were in front of Sue, near the alter.

-Alexander is near Sue, either slightly behind, standing beside, or slightly in front of her. He approached Justine, and his orientation to Sue isn't clear. But since he was approaching Justine, it can be assumed that they are in relatively close proximity to each other.

-Janet is beside her lady, and is thus in front of Sue.

-The entrance was behind Sue, so that is most likely where Sil, Scout, and Anaya are.

Also, blast from the past: Benjamin Linus

EDIT: Another assumption was that Janet wasn't using her mist to obscure her lady's voice or obstruct the vision of anyone looking at her, and that the mist outside of Sue's dimensional shift didn't follow Janet to her now coordinates.

Sue hadn't really intended for Justine to actually keep this banter up. But she was, none the less. Each word was another moment Sue could build up her power, and she wasn't about to let the opportunity slip her by. But maybe she should have. Every word that came falling out of Justine's mouth only served to further enrage Sue. She didn't understand the situation, but she understood How backwards Justine was. She was enslaving magical girls, killing them. Sisters and friends alike, turning against each other, because she believed her one relationship was all that mattered.

Things were about to get chaotic. Alexander was barking like a junkyard dog. Silloette, Scout, and Anaya just broke into the room. And it was evident that Janet was about to do something. Finally, she had figured out that her soundwaves could be used to disrupt the air, and was able to create a veil within her mist. but it was too little, too late. Sue knew where everyone was, and wasn't about to wait for everyone to change their positions.

”...No.”

That was the last thing anyone in Sue's vicinity heard before being consumed by an invisible force. It was a vaccum, so no amount of sound could permeate it. The powerful sound waves might have shattered windows, but everyone inside Sue's vaccum was deaf to everything around them. It quickly encompassed the immediate area, Justine and Janet included. But for those gifted with a third eye, they could tell this was just the beginning of a much larger spell. Sue wasn't even trying to create a barrier, she was trying to remove everyone she could from this place. Sue, Justine, Janet, Alexander, Lily, and Helga were all going to leave the overcity. Though there was still time for a few hitchikers to join them, should they understand what was going on. For those that stayed behind, they would see that part of the top floor blink out of existence. There was a hole that lead straight down into the room below.

Sue and everyone she had traveled with were now hundreds of feet over the ocean, far away from Penrose train station where they entered the overcity from. The vacuum had disappeared, as it was just an effect of the dimensional shift. That move had taken quite a bit of Sue's stored up mana, but she still had quite a bit left. Shifting out of the overcity wasn't just for a change of scenery. Sue was able to alter the air around the floor and make it move the way she wanted. By blasting the floor behind herself with wind, she was able to catapult Justine, Janet, and Lily into the air, who were in front of her. In the event the trio made it in, Sue would make sure the wind didn't hit them with any kind of force, or would simply move the air around them. Without supporting walls, the floor acted like a seesaw. It was steadily falling, but at a slow rate thanks to Sue's wind magic. If anyone fell off the side due to the sudden drop, they would find themselves slowly descending with the floor because of a strong upward draft. But She was definitely starting to clean out her reserves with everything she was trying to do at once. With the three magical girls thrown into the air, Sue floated off the floor and attempted to snatch lily out of the air with her tendrils. She then pulled back her arm to prepare her remaining mana for a special attack. She was scowling like a crazed berzerker, and her eyes were still bloodshot from the crying she did earlier.

”You don't get to save your sister!” She shrieked.

When sue hurled her fist forward, a blast of wind rushed by her opponents. While the wind attack itself was relatively weak, the vacuum behind it was closing with enough force to mimic the sound of thunder.

Oh, now this was very good for Tonya.

Escaping the overcity was the hard part, or at least, Tonya thought it was. But now that they were back in the real world, the only thing she had to worry about was orchestrating Justine's downfall. She'd aid Justine's foes as best she could, obstructing their apparent position while using her gravity magic to assist their attacks.
@River Goblin I will use them as soon as I get my main computer working.

EDIT: cpu is still a paperweight, but I'll enjoy this set anyway.
@Sierra I think the simplest thing to do in the case of your spirits would be to simply make it so that even though there are twelve of these spirits, they can trade their responsibilities with other spirits, or are perhaps reborn every time they take on a new "master." But since that ship has sailed, your players are going to have to make due with these other spirits. Unless it's not too late to write up some mumbo jumbo in the lore. I specifically design my RPs so that problems like this never arise.

But even so, nothing dulls the exhilarating feel of death like a bunch of pointless inactivity kills. You might like trying this system if you have some characters like that. I'm actually surprised at how many of my old players are willing to take up another character. But you can always slow the dull of the death knife by giving the physical characters reasons to abandon their quest, or otherwise drop out of the story without dropping dead. Then that just leaves you with figuring out what to do with these spirits.

There were quiet murmurs among the infinites, and a few shouts to Davis from some of the louder ones. But the mastermind did not respond. He made eye contact with no one, he didn't smile, and he most certainly didn't answer anyone.

When Max got up to walk away, he heard a gunshot, followed by something brushing against his nose. If he looked to the wall opposite of Davis, he would see a small bullet hole. If he looked inside the cage, he would see a carnage sister wearing glasses.

”Police officer.” The robot was holding a smoking handgun. ”The only way in and out of the court is using the roller-coaster. Surely you remember the fifty foot vertical drops on your way here?” She adjusted her glasses. ”The lowest rails are a hundred feet off the ground, which is not something you'd know since everything is shrouded in darkness. I doubt even your brother could have scaled such an obstacle.”

“I'm sure Emily and Thomas know who this is, but everyone else, this is Kyra.” Davis extended an arm towards the carnage sister. “She is one of the finest nurses this establishment has. Axis Mundi is the best hospital in the world, and our patients only get the best treatment.”

”I've actually appeared in this game before.” She turned to look at Cyrus. ”Politician, did you find your room satisfactory? It was in complete disarray when you left it. If you continue to experience these severe mood swings, we could start treating you with lithium. Though it would require some alterations to your diet. You would need to lower your salt consumption and increase your water intake.”

Davis paced around the new sister. “But I have come to do more than introduce your new caretaker.” he surveyed the infinites. “As a bonus for coming so far, I would like to give Krista a question. Perhaps not as precious as the phone call Justiciar stole from her, but there are no strings attached this time. Regardless of what you ask, I will answer honestly. ”

Krista didn't need to think. She immediately asked Davis if her brother was okay.

“You mean Herman Müller?” Davis smiled. “He is safe, far away from this place. Last I heard, he found the love of his life.”

“What a total waste.” Jezebel grumbled to herself. “That so shouldn't surprise anyone at this point. Bleh!”

Davis adjusted his vest. “Now if you excuse me...”

“Wait!” Emily cried out. “You just came here for that?” She leaned forwards. “Shouldn't you do something more special? Something for all of us?”

The mastermind folded his arms. “I gave Krista one question. If you think her question was selfish or underwhelming, you can take that up with her.”

“Just tell us why you're doing this!” Emily's eyes squinted shut. “It doesn't have to be an honest or satisfying answer, I just want us to have something. We deserve that much!”

But Davis didn't respond. He simply waited for the elevator to carry him below the trial floor. As soon as he was out of sight, the other carnage sisters arived.

Geina immidiately ran over to Felix's side. ”FUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuu...” She cried out before sinking to her knees. ”Daddy wouldn't let me save him!”

Willow sighed.”I can't believe that Nariko offered herself up. She'd been threatening to do it for years.”

Alexandria chuckled.”Golly gee willikers Willow, I thought that was you for a second!”

”Oh girls?” Monokuma hovered the mallet over the button. ”Daddy's job is really hard, and he needs you to focus and get these patients back where they belong.”

While the carnage sisters hurried everyone back into the roller coaster, Davis had safely slipped away into a room below.

“Well, seems everything's going according to plan. What did you think?”

The individual didn't move from his spot in the darkness. ”How boring.”

Related to this topic, ongoing roleplays could have auditions for characters who's players left them if things are far enough along and the character is important enough. This feels like a really good way to let new players join an RP with a character that is already integrated into the story. If they drop out, you're not stuck with extra dead wood. If they like it, one less person the GM has to unceremoniously remove.
@AimeChambers That's good enough, you may post them in the character tab.
@AimeChambers I think I'd like to see Noah with a more specific talent than something as broad as "researcher." There have been quite a few people with researching talents already. Maybe something that pertains to behavior? You also didn't send me a questionnaire.

@Warpcircuit Here are the adoption papers enjoy your Denis. <3

@MyCatGinger Makise Kurisu is for all intents and purposes accepted, though I would prefer it if her talent was described a bit better. At present I'm not sure if she works on clocks, actually researches time, or both. You may post them in the character tab.

With the case over, it's time for my announcement.

I think the trial was successful. Thanks to everyone who participated. I do like the alibi-system over the logic-track system I had been using for the last two trials. With everyone's actions right in front of me, it was very easy to clear up questions that were asked during the trial, and made constructing the case faster and easier to fact check. It got to a slow start, but I think I can improve that next time. But I'm glad most of you liked the case. I'm sure the next case will be even better. My only criticisms to the players would be when Ice made up evidence and Faith and Max's attempted to recreate the theory chat convo. Both of these events could have been disastrous. In the future, I would like you to talk to me if you have any questions about your alibis. And while theory chat is fun, dropping a half baked theory into the RP does more harm than good. Overall I was very happy with everyone's contributions to the case. You were able to solve it with minimal help on my part.

Now for the part of the announcement that everyone's been waiting for, the news about new characters.

Once the new chapter starts, I will be restricting everyone to a single character, unless they already have two.

However, I told Addamus, Majora, Famished, and Aime that they could all make a second character. I plan on keeping my word to them. They may make one extra character to be accepted into the RP.

BUT!

It is important that you realize that I am simply unwilling to go back on my word. You may be excited about your new character, but I most certainly am not. Why? There are a few reasons...

-Everyone who killed off their character this chapter did so to bring in a new character. Because they talked about their new character at length, everyone knew exactly who was going to die. I doubt this chapter's deaths surprised very many people.

-In Danganronpa, Death is suppose to be sad. We're seeing a journey end too soon. Characters aren't an old pair of boots you throw away once they wear out. “Out with the old, in with the new” Might be a good concept for walking dead, lost, etc, but it isn't what Danganronpa death is suppose to be about.

-The roleplay is more than half over, and the new characters can only expect to gain as much development as the oldest characters have right now.

-Danganronpa casts start with fewer characters than we presently have, and we're through 3 murders already. If everyone makes a character, the cast for Tower of Carnage will be as large as it's ever been. This is the opposite of what's suppose to happen in a killing game.

Short version:I will allow those I promised a new second character to make one, but only begrudgingly. Do know that my standards are going to be much higher than they were when you first joined. The roleplay is rapidly approaching its final stages, and I really don't need a bunch of surplus characters who have nothing to offer. I strongly encourage you to reconsider making a new character if:

-You have difficulty posting regularly.

-You take long hiatuses.

-You dislike confrontation. Do not expect the first draft of your character to go through.

-You're making this character “because all the cool kids have two.”

-You're getting bored with your current character, and you're doing this to keep things interesting for the next few weeks.

On the other hand, I will allow ANYONE to adopt NPC characters with no fuss. The only exception being Lucy because I've sort of taken a liking to her. But I assure you both Denis and Emily can be molded into interesting characters.

And with that out of the way, let's see what happens next. The chapter isn't quite over yet.
”You wanna know so badly? Why don't we just take a look?” Monokuma raised his hammer.”It's punishment time!”

A large jumbotron lowered in the center of the court so that everyone could watch the execution.
