"Then beauty, to that person, would be the times when the pain lessens. Why are you telling me this story?"

The messenger smiled. "To be human is to seek beauty, Shallan. Do not despair, do not end the hunt because thorns grow in your way. Tell me, what is the most beautiful thing you can imagine?"

@Crimson RavenDeathKnights are unholy warriors from the Dreadlands. They gain power by consuming souls and being rewarded items of malice from their Demon overlords.
There are two ways to become a DeathKnight. The first, more traditional way is to pledge yourself to the inner sin of your soul, and travel into the wilderness and face the Dreadlands proper, bringing a sacrifice. If you are worthy, and have lived a life of depravation, the Greater Demons shall bestow upon you the powers of a DeathKnight.
The other way, is to have a dark sorcerer/warlock in commune with a Demon to gain its blessing, and then sacrifice three innocent souls upon a dark ritual circle. The one within the circle shall become a DeathKnight.
They are inhumanly strong and fast, with mystical blades and tough armor that is often enchanted. They are no longer human, but living vessels of unholy martial strength. Many higher ranking ones lead Demon armies.

Think of the Chosen of Chaos from Warhammer fantasy, if you're familiar.

A bit of both. You should have a backstory already made up, and the GM's should know in case there are things there that wouldn't fly (Cannibalism and the like), but otherwise you don't need to add it so that people won't have meta knowledge of your character. Because logically, no one knows who your character is until they get to know you.

I understand, and I quite like that idea. I do already have one thought up.
Names are the hardest part of character creation. Rwby characters three times as hard, because you have to name them, their weapon, and their semblance, all with a common theme...

In other words, my character is nearing completion.

I do have a question though. I noticed that there is no histroy/background section on the character sheet. Does that mean you want their backstory eventually revealed IC, or some other method?

is it weird or wrong that in all my rps, after I finish making a character I always think about what could happen if he got in a fight with the other characters. not that they have ever fought friendly people or want them to fight, I just ponder it after making them and then going back and looking at other people's characters


You aren't alone. In my experience, that is a pretty common thought for RP players.
