Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

@Ayame@DarkwolfX37@Polaris North

So, @AcerRo has officially stepped down from the role of GM and has asked me to take over. Of course, I'll run the game alongside @Polaris North to have an easy transition. I just need to know if you guys are still interested or not, and I'm only asking for honesty. If you don't want to be involved anymore it's okay, just let me know.

I'm still in, but is AcerRo out of the RP overall or just out as GM? And are you planning on following the outline of the plot from the last thread or something totally new?

Already expressed concern for this one.
They don't exist. And even if they did, it takes a world of extra knowledge to hack into them—coding is as far from hacking as boating is to swimming. And I already mentioned that rogue hackers would have a tough time with the systems if they even wanted to get in.
Terrorists are inbred inbeciles, so I think we're okay. Why hack a car when you can shoot a gun?
Assassins have other ways of killing people unless they work for a government entity, which was already mentioned. And it doesn't help that the govt. can already remotely shut down vehicles—I doubt that it'll be any more of an issue than it currently is, especially given how conspicuous it would be.

Dude you're taking cyber security classes. You should be fully aware that security is always just barely one step ahead of hackers at the best of times. People have remotely hacked fucking drones, and you think that they won't be able to hack a car? Something that can't really have updates very often? Not to even mention that every car company would have their own security system, and wouldn't be using a standard program, meaning traffic wouldn't even really be fixed because there wouldn't be a unified control system. AND equipping cars with with as much sensory equipment as would be necessary would cost unimaginable amounts of money.
Why hack a car when you can shoot a gun? Because a car is incredibly more dangerous, and if you can hack one car you can hack 100. Hell, if you gave me a single car drone I could kill and maim more people than you could with a completely silent sniper rifle and perfect cover for 48 hours.
How conspicuous it would be? Have you never heard of Princess Dianna? Hacking a car to kill someone is the easiest to explain away thing in the world. "Oh there was X car trouble that the driver wasn't aware of." "Oh there was a freak accident on an icy road." Etc.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

I don't deny that there are issues to be overcome, but I do think that wrecks and traffic can be eliminate when done correctly. And for the most part, hackers don't want to kill people. Ruin the networks of corporations, sure, but there are just about none who would kill just some guy who happened to be unlucky. Even the black hats aren't that evil.

Foreign agents, mass shooters with coding knowledge, terrorists, assassins... So on and so forth.
So here's just a copy-paste of what I wrote 5 months ago for this. Tell me of any changes I need to make and I'll get on them. I didn't include a digimon partner in it because I need to know what digivolution system is used. Whether it's like V-Pets where digivolution is permanent, or semi-permanent like the Digimon World/Digimon Story games, (barring World Championship) or if it's all Blast Digivolution like in the anime where they stay in Rookie until a battle. I've got a partner picked for each system but I'll wait until I know which one is used before I put it up for approval.

There won't be if the system is actually done in a way that allows them to communicate. Unfortunately, that allows for centralization, which I hate. Super AI, not all that much, but an advanced AI yes. All of which is doable within less than ten years, especially considering current driving algorithms. Speaking as a hacker, that's avoidable if they're coded wth security in mind. Security is difficult but not impossible. Yes, remote assassinations from three letter agencies and other entities concerns me—however, I dislike traffic more.

Lol.
<Snipped quote by Araby264>

I'm talking about the world being 100% self-driving. I think it'll eliminate traffic because there will be no wrecks, everyone can move at the same speed and stop at the same time, and servers can precalculate routes to take. No variability.

There'll still be wrecks, and that would require a super AI and would still be really prone to hackers. There are already people who can shut down cars while they're on the freeway, auto cars would just be worse.
@DarkwolfX37
I wasn't a virgin when we met. I lost my virginity fairly young.

Do tell.
@souleaterfan320
Don't feel bad about it. It's something special that I was dumb enough to give away before I met the person I'm gonna be with forever... or at least until death.

You mean you weren't a virgin when you met your girlfriend or you don't think you'll be with her for life?
Yes.

About a day and half.

Yes

Yes

We're not exactly being treated like human beings at this moment.

That doesn't exactly help. Could you clarify what you were saying yes to?

Eh. Not bad on a technical level.
