Alright, will look into posting tomorrow or the day after, before I straight up forget my character's name.
@PapiTan Hotel? Pierced.

Looks good, fo sho. Maybe if she were better at negotiating, she could've at least gotten management to agree to get her to wear a half-mask though.
@Asuras It’s a combination, and it also depends on the agency at hand. If someone went viral for whatever reason and a scout saw the potential of turning that into an “origin” story (e.g heroic firefighter does a big thing), then they develop an angle based off of that. If it’s just someone with a marketable face and a useful personality, they mold them fresh, based off of market analytics and what the agency currently has.

Unless the talent is super rich or super big. Then it’s more the case that money talks and they can decide who they want to be…at least up to the extent that the public then buys into it.

@Megatron Dang, girl trynna trademark the word “freeze” with how many times she’s used it kekeke. Very Figma of her.
@Yankee The word ‘brat’ is forever ruined for me, but otherwise it’s a hella fun idea kekeke.
@Eviledd1984 Bwahahaha, the not-wrestling RP gets a straight up wrestler.

@PapiTan I shall condemn thee to the deaths of Hell with this statement: it's their stage persona.

Gross and artless. It wasn't even a mobile chimera, but rather just a tower of whipping limbs flaying about like a dead frog's twitching legs. The limbs themselves weren't even exceptionally fast by the standard of whips, their sheer mass making them closer to the vine strikes of a mandrake than the proper subsonic snap of a bullwhip. Indeed, so long as Otis remained inside the carriage and others were willing to play with the skeletal mass, he would be fine. Chunji and Iraleth were still hanging in there, and he estimated that Alto was handling about 70% of the limbs by himself. If Rio hadn't rushed in, the efforts of three combined could perhaps allow one to slip past and strike at the necromancer himself.

Which was a failed proposition. Two-on-one against enemies that likely both had Ethos, while one didn't even have essence in response would lead to a quick death.

Troublesome. He didn't even have the capacity with him now to analyze the black spores drifting out from the draconic skull at the top of the tower. Couldn't risk it then. The Strigidae lifted his inner shirt upwards, a makeshift mask, before sitting down on one knee to get a better angle on his target. Sight the target, read the flow of the limbs, calculate the travel time, time the heartbeats, make sure not to get too myopic, and...

A bullet cracked out from Otis's firearm, aimed at blasting the skull off the tower.
I liked RPing with your NPCs, more or less, and if I thought you were a fraud GM, I wouldn't be trying to post relatively quickly each time. In any case, it's still enjoyable RPing with you so you should join my RP, and I'm not even so sure if having more structure would've helped this RP. Because it's not like people 'dropped' it.

They just straight up disappeared off the face of the website, for the most part.

Alright, I'll probs get an OOC up around Thursday, once I figure out how much extra writing I wanna do. In the meanwhile, pitch me your Hero using this form. Think of it like a marketing kinda thing. Would be useful too to prevent unintentional overlap.

Yeah, why not.

With enough distractions on the table, yesterday’s rising stars can be today’s literal-whos. Though depending on the youthful indiscretions involved, companies may push for a transformation that’s on-par with, say, a whole ass witness protection program. Or just fold it into their Villain backstory.
@PapiTan
Their persona should be new, at least. I have some flexibility with them having been an intermediate-level Hero before but then needing to swap to a new identity/hero form for whatever reason.

And this current situation, specifically of Neo-Astraea and corpo-heroes with a big fanservice presence, has been going on for about 50 years. History taught in school also only goes back to around 50 years (outside of vague "we founded this city in the far past" kinda hijinks). There are proper legends of pre-AE Heroes though, like...

The Firewatcher
The Rust Saint
The Imaginary Idol
Old John
The Ivory Hero.

Though at this point, there's dozens of unverified stories about them so you can make up whatever you want.
