Racheli rolled her eyes when she spied the look Bak May gave her. She could’ve mouthed off because she didn’t care what the woman thought. However, she stopped herself with her lips pressed tightly under her mask. Inhaled sharply, Rach recalled how the the elderly woman did save her from the thugs and likely worse so she swallowed the comment on her tongue’s tip. Instead, she followed Bak May down the street toward the woman’s place.

Her eyes drifted through the various shops clustered together along the alleyway sides, their feet quickly passing by. The fact she owed Bak May settled in her attention, something she despised greatly because she couldn’t simply walk away. It didn’t help she owed more people than just Bak May. Rach’s mind turned to and ticked down the ever growing list: Evergreen, Hydro, Icarus, Myth, and Joseph Mathers.

Her throat dried and tightened at the last name. The man had died during her rescue, a bitter incident that never should’ve happened if he fucking minded his own business. The thought of someone dying because of her sent a black feeling into her core, one of pain and guilt.

Picking up her pace, she shove the sensation somewhere deep. She aimed to make this situation temporary, even if it killed her, because she couldn’t bear being indebted to another soul for as much as she owed what seemed like everyone else. Besides, in time they would see her for what she fought again within and leave, disturbed by her true nature. They always did. Her ears listened to her boots heavy step skirt across the stone when they edged closer to Bak May’s place, arriving within minutes, Rach lost in her own thoughts. She never dwelled over the past because nothing would change the fact three months of her life had been stolen. Her eyes perked up every so often, her pace easily brought up the rear and stuck close, to examine the scenery.

Nothing.

Rach moved into the building after Bak May and Evergreen, her arm reached to shut the door behind her. She moved to the side and leaned against the wall, absorbing the interior a moment. It was modest but held the basic equipment she had seen in her youth. Her body stepped from the wall and into the room, pausing at a wooden wing chun dummy. Her hand pressed a palm against as she stared in confusion at the sticks inserted at different areas and tried to understand why. Naturally, she had never seen such contraptions save for hollywood movies once or twice.

Lingering for a moment, Rach removed her hand. Her ears perked at Bak May’s greeting causing her to stare a moment and then pressed her hand upon her mask.

The metal shimmered and melted into a liquid version of itself. The element shifted along her skin down to her neck creating a thick choker, the material reforming in its original shape: two bike chain chokers. They rested there with a notable weight though Rach ignored it, the weight barely noticed by her. From her peripheral vision, she watched both Gia and Evergreen request permission for using her gym. As those three got things sorted, Rach flopped down upon the nearest corner to wait for nightfall.

TANYA TIME

1. Tanya had an intimate relationship with Lewis, the designated marksman of her unit in the 63rd division, after several years of working and socializing together and becoming close. He was who she moved on from Gary with.
2. Tanya's fascination with metal music stems from the local scene in Scott, Terra Nova, having a considerable amount of local talent that more or less became the voice of the younger colonists. She listens to this genre because it reminds her of home.
3. The primary reason Tanya favours shotguns over any other weapon is because she barely passed basic marksmanship training and prefers her marksmanship be limited to generally pointing a gun at the bad guys to kill them while she focuses on other things.

TONKA TIME

1. Tonka's never had romantic partners, mainly because he's not interested in anything that's not krogan and things on Tuchanka are rather abysmal in the romance department, given that the entire planet is an apocalyptic wasteland where the women are considered a sacred resource that requires a lot of red tape to even attempt to breed.
2. Tonka hates children, since they remind him of what he'll never have.
3. The reason Tonka specializes in infiltration and marksmanship was because he was the runt in his brood, so he had to adapt to survive with other krogan who were bigger and stronger than he was, and so he determined the best way to fight was by stacking the odds in his favour.
