Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

Esther smiled brightly when she noticed Gradon gaining consciousness as he was being dragged by the green-haired girl. "Farris, look! Gradon's awake!" she said to her chirpily.

However, Leblanc's reaction to him waking up was not something she saw coming at all, as she threw Gradon to the nearest wall, causing her to gasp. "W-why did you do that?" she asked her before quickly running towards the boy. "A-are you alright, Gradon? H-here, take my hand."

After she helped him get back up to his feet, she heard Leblanc saying how they two should return to their room. She told Esther how she should get dressed, before she did "something that they would both enjoy" while licking her lips. This, of course, sent goosebumps to her neck right away. It reminded her when she first met Leblanc, and how she thought she was a terribly scary person to talk to. Now, after spending quite some time with her, she had become somewhat accostumed to her blunt and harsh personality. Somewhat, being the key word here.

"R-right, I'm going!" she quickly replied. Leblanc's intimidating mannerism had put a nervous fear to her that made her forget once again that Gradon now was added to the list of the males who had seen her in the skimpy nightgown.

Arriving back at her bed, she quickly took off said nightgown before putting on her red dress once again, not even bothering to look around to see if there was anyone else in the room.

Hearing Penny's explanation, Suwako glanced to Alicia for confirmation. Seeing how her expression was normal, she must have been telling the truth. Suwako wasn't really that well-informed about this little "truce" among the Beacon and Penny, which apparently was also a monster girl. She only knew her as an ally of Beacon, and nothing more.

Well, on a personal level, she didn't really care whether she's a monster girl or not. But on a professional level, she simply didn't want to get scolded by the higher ups.

The girl she brought, on the other hand, had no such pact with them. Penny suggested to think of it as them working with her, while the new girl, named Thalia, worked with her, so that they wouldn't have the problem of working together with an unaffiliated monster girl.

Sounds dodgy, she thought. If she were a Beacon supervisor, she wouldn't have let it slide for sure.

And the attitude of the new girl certainly didn't help matters.

"...I don't like it," she replied to Thalia. "But we really are in no position to fight amongst ourselves right now."

"Very well," she said to Alicia after hearing her suggestion about going back to their normal lives. "I have no problem with it. I'm getting a little tired myself." Suwako could feel how her mana pool was pretty depleted after all those vines she had summoned. "I just hope the higher ups wouldn't be angry at us for letting a monster girl go, though I'm ready to explain how disadvantageous our current situation is if they ask for the reason."

Suwako then eyed Thalia once more. It seemed this girl was pretty close to Penny, meaning if the Beacon were to order them to attack Thalia, there would be a good chance that Penny would turn against them. At any rate, she just had to keep a close eye on the two.

Esther blushed even more when Anton teased her about her clothing malfunction. Thankfully, Leon interrupted him, re-focusing the group's attention to their tour across the fortress and not at her skimpy nightgown.

When they came to the mess hall however, she found chaos going on, with soldiers fighting each other in a drunken cacophony. Anton quickly put a stop to it however with his loud and commanding voice. Esther was quite terrified when he shouted angrily while lifting the firearm. She was never good against loud and harsh words.

She then found Gradon being one of the soldiers laying down on the ground, and quickly, she went towards him, crouching down and saying, "G-Gradon? A-are you okay?" with a panicked voice, her half-dressed state once again forgotten. Thankfully, Leblanc soon came over and checked him, telling everyone present that he just needed a rest. Esther sighed in relief at the good news. Leblanc then took him over her shoulders, telling everyone present that she would take him to his room.

"I-I'm coming too! I-I'll watch over him!" she said to her before she could leave. It seemed Esther was that concerned with Gradon that she didn't pay any attention to the sobbing man.

Suwako noticed Alicia and Penny coming towards them, but not before Alicia shouted at their opponents how they had killed Beaconites as well, a sentiment she could definitely agree with. So they had decided to retreat as well, she thought. She knew Alicia pretty well (as well as she knew a co-worker at the very least) seeing how she was also a member of the Beacon, but she only knew Penny as an outsider magical girl who ended up being allied to them. She didn't really have a problem with her however. All help were always welcome in her book. And so far Penny had proven herself to be trustworthy.

But then, she saw another magical girl coming along with Penny. And judging by the tail she sported, she was a monster girl.

Hoo boy, this wouldn't be pleasant. Perhaps Penny had forgotten but a Beacon magical girl was forbidden to mingle with a monster girl.

"Yes, I don't believe it would be advantageous for us to continue the fight at this point," she said to Alicia, who came first. But when Penny and her friend came, her neutral expression turned into a frown as she said to her, "Penny, you know that Beacon girls are forbidden to work together with monster girls, right? Why do you bring her here?" She glanced at Thalia.

So Penny is going to the rendezvous with the other Beacon members? Probably with Thalia as well? I'll wait until you post then.

Hmm, I'm kinda interested.

Esther nodded in agreement excitedly when Althea said how the general was "incredibly creepy and vile" and Leon saying how he was "the greatest degenerate he had ever met". She didn't like that general at all, and she was glad that more people agreed with her.

"Eeh, you have a brother, Leon?" she said to him with a surprised look when Anton made his entrance. "A-ah, greetings, Sir, Esther von Degraff, at your service." She curtsied towards him.

The poor girl still didn't notice how inappropriate her attire was. She didn't catch the odd stares and blushes her teammates were giving at all. Even when Viola gave her her coat, she didn't catch on at all, replying to her with a thanks and a smile. Esther thought of her as a kind girl, and her badmouthing the general even more certainly added points to her standing with her.

She then heard her tale about her squad being ambushed as well in the middle of the snowstorm. It was curiously similar to their own experience, only with wolves instead of bears. She also said that she saw something flashing in the hills. A reflection from a mirror? Even to her naive self, she could tell that something fishy was going on.

"Y-yes, I'll lead you the way," she responded to Viola's offer.

Before they could leave however, Althea returned with a soaked cloth for Viola's bruise. After that, she gave her some sort of medicine. As expected from the medic, she thought.

“And thank you for helping Esther dress herself, though she really has to learn to do it on her own at some point”

Esther caught that comment. And said comment was finally the one that made her look down to what she was wearing. And sure enough, she saw how her pink bra and panties were showing through the semi see-through nightgown she was wearing. She had totally forgotten about how thin her silk nightgown was. If she had known, she would certainly not come out until she was changed into her proper dress.

"Eeeeeeek!"

Esther's face quickly turned beet red. She quickly covered herself tightly with the coat Viola had given to her.

"Uuumm, I'm so sorry... P-please don't look..." she said as she seemingly shrink in stature. She now felt terribly naked. It was embarrassing enough being seen in such a state by other females, but with males in the group also, she wished she could just melt into the ground right then and there.

I hope you're alright with Suwako carrying off Janet like that.
As Suwako watched her vines did their work against Umeko, she felt an unfamiliar energy creeping on her neck. Followed by... a song? It sounded like someone was singing. But from where?

She then noticed the red mist around the battlefield that wasn't there before. She didn't like this. Not one bit at all. The mist was everywhere, even surrounding her who was quite a far away from the battlefield.

Hmmm, two auras? So this was the work of two people?

She looked back at her vines however when she sensed how them had finally caught their mark right where she wanted her to be. But before she could do anything with it, a stray shot from one of the other magical girls fighting around them freed her. Tch, what luck, she said to herself. At least she could see how that shot had wounded the girl as well.

She then saw how the girl had regrouped with her other comrades. Well, this would make things far more difficult.

And then, one of them said how they should stop their fight, as they risked displaying their existence to the wider public with how messy their fight had went. She looked at the battlefield. Indeed, it was very messy. Her own vines certainly didn't help. She ordered all her remaining vines to immediately wither and scatter into dust.

She didn't like her preachy tone, but she could agree with her. Besides, she wasn't comfortable continuing this fight, what with so many factors that could go wrong. The red mist was still around and she had no idea about its maker. She didn't like fighting against somebody she wasn't familiar with, as they could easily catch her off-guard. And she didn't like being caught off-guard.

"Very well. I'm fine with a temporary truce," she said to the group after she jumped off her vantage point, landing to where Janet was. She then picked her up, bridal style, which was no problem with her strength. "Let me tell you however, that the Beacon will not forgive you if you decide to hunt down any more Beacon agents. Or any other innocent Magical Girls for that matter." She then created a vine that grabbed her by the waist, pulling her to the opposite building away from them. After landing safely, she then put Janet down and asked her, "Are you all right?"
