As he come out of his mediation Oberon was now certain that the sunlight was having a positive effect on his mana recovery. It was hard to tell exactly how much, but the process was definitely being sped up to some degree; the question was, was his new body absorbing sunlight and converting it to mana in the same way he opened himself up to the ambient mana in the surrounding air, or was the sunlight simply making his mediation more efficient and would it have a similar effect on his other abilities.

Looking down at his arms and chest he could see that the sparkly substance on his skin was shining brighter under the sun; was the effect just visual, or did it signify an effect being active? Curious, he activated Magic Analysis on the sparkles and then for good measure Monster Analysis on himself, hoping that perhaps the skill would give him more information than the general knowledge he had gotten on levelling up. Whatever was happening it was surely tied into his Light Affinity in some way and he would have to check later to see if the skill had earned any experience when he had the chance.

For now, he had more pressing matters to attend to, as the reason he had awoken from his mediation was due to a commotion on the ground below. From listening in it appeared that there was some disagreement among the Goblins and one of the younger members had challenged Crispy to a duel. From his elevated position Oberon used Magic and Monster Analysis on both Crispy and Orchid, seeking information on the Flame-Wielding Goblin now that he had more skills to work with and examining his fellow Reincarnator with the Monster Analysis skill he had lacked on their first meeting.

While the biggest threat was distracted the Sprite dropped down from the branches and came to a stop next to Torrent using Lesser Flight. He was surprised to see that the Lesserwurm had mostly recovered from her injuries, shedding her skin in order to rid herself of the burns that she was suffering from even after being healed. “Are you okay to move? We should leave while they’re distracted.” Turning to the two people he had known the longest since waking up, even if it was only for a few hours more, Oberon called out to try and get them to follow Ash’s advice. “Digbie, help Torrent move. Mourn, we need to leave before they remember we’re here.”

@Doll Maker it's preferred that you make a hero first, but there's no rules against making a villain first if you want.

There's a discord link a few posts up if you want to join us in the chat.
@KhKj mind if I use my own character template for this? I'd like to split the combat section up so there are separate weapon and semblance sections. Maybe add a few extra sections for stuff like what Kingdom the come from or what their occupation is; student, hunter, teacher and so on.
Casual is the section that is generally the most active, so unless you want to enforce a higher standard of writing that would be the place to put it.
It depends on if you want our characters to be involved with the events of the main plot or not. It may be easier to have our characters be in Vacuo, or even helping with the clean up of Vale, and have a completely separate story, rather than try and influence events that we don't know anything about past the latest episode. @KhKj
Depending on the details of the RP I might be interested. @KhKj
I'll try and get a post up before the weekend as well. Going back to work has left me with not much energy for writing unfortunately, but I'll get something up soon.
It seemed this evening was turning into quite the event as another Servant announced her arrival. It didn’t speak well of him that he hadn’t noticed her presence at all until Assassin announced it, not that he expected to have sharper senses than the swordswoman, meaning that there were at least two opponents in this war who could ambush him should they choose to.

From her apparent weapon of choice it would seem that they were in the presence of the Lancer of this war; a rather oddly attired woman with long, silver hair and a weapon with an excessively large blade. He didn’t recognise her at all, or even the style of the armour or weapon she bore, though judging by the title she gave him it would seem that she knew of him. “It seems my reputation precedes me Lancer, though I would thank you not to use that title too freely lest you give away my secrets; being famous in life has its disadvantages when one wishes to remain incognito. I must confess to my embarrassment however that I do not know your name or even the land you hail from; since you have me at a disadvantage, perhaps you might like to even the playing field by giving telling me how you came to know of me?”

“Hmph.” Thomas couldn’t help but notice that Archer hadn’t said they wouldn’t do anything that might upset the Clocktower merely that they wouldn’t be caught doing it, which as good as confirmed what sort of methods the Servant wished to employ in this war. No matter; the aged Magus had known what kind of Servant he was getting when he had chosen his catalyst and he hadn’t been lying when he said he’d rather remain alive that keep his hands clean. He would just need to make sure Archer didn’t do anything too extreme; though how he could stop him if he tried Thomas wasn’t sure.

“Nothing like London I’m afraid; I imagine what crime this town has would be rather unorganised compared to what you are looking for. But no matter what you saw every town has its homeless, its bad elements and its criminals; I would have thought you of all people would know that Archer. You may not find anything more than petty thieves, muggers or drug dealers, but you’ll always find something.”

Rider placed a booted foot on the snout of the flailing creature, holdings its head down to the ground and he gripped the haft of the spear driven through its skull and pulled it free. Even now the chimera still lived, legs spasming and tail lashing as the monstrosity tried to buck its way out from under his heel. Turning the spear around in his grip Rider held the weapon above his head before stabbing it downwards with both hands through the creatures back and through its heart.

As the monster stilled the Achaean warrior pulled his weapon free from its body once more. He lifted his foot from its head and was preparing to turn and assist his allies when he noticed the woman standing at the forest's edge; even at this distance it was clear to his eyes that she was merely an illusion, though that fact didn't make he presence any less significant or worrying. Was this a distraction or bait? Was it more dangerous to ignore the figure or to pay it too much heed?

"Archer!" Perhaps one with better vision than himself would be able to see more of the figure than he could; maybe the far sighted conqueror would even be able to discern some clues about her identify from her attire or appearance, assuming this was even what their real self looked like that was. "It seems the enemy has decided to entertain us with an illusion!" Rider pointed towards the forest with his spear to indicate the figure he was referring to, in case her yellow and black dress wasn't enough to make her stand out against the trees.

@Reflection
@TheHangedMan this seems interesting. I have a character I may be able to re-purpose for this. The fact that we don't get to pick our abilities, but are rather assigned them, could be fun as well.

A couple questions;

1. Does this have any resemblance to magical girl shows at all, in terms of costumes and aesthetics, or is it literally just 'girls with powers'?

2. Will the powers our characters assigned by completely random, or will their personalities and backstory play a part in determining them?
