"YA iz Kazani," another piped in looking over at Lana. "Et je viens de Lyon," a third said looking over at the cabbage. Crossing his arms over his chest the leader chuckled a bit. "Just because we looks rough don't mean a thing you three. Come on, if you want to not be skinned alive. Those spikes be put down by a place called Eden and trust me, it ain't no garden," he said before giving a whistle and several more came out of the woods rolling up motor cycles and a truck pulling out of the woods. "The names Beni."

@Caits @Sigil - Kids are out of school now, the older ones at least, the younger ones can be seen down Lagrange heading to the school building. Many of the older kids are looking like they are smelling the air and are being drawn over towards where the medical garden is to see what James is cooking up right now. One of them rubbing their belly and licking their lips because of the heavy smell of BBQ in the air.

Tatiana nodded and followed Ash, looking over at Jack and stopping by him real fast before anything else happened. "I help vith ne'v comer. You come vith me? Feel safer," she said before she went back over to Ash and walked with him. She knew if Jack stuck with her he would have to help Sophia at least get back inside the gate. Granted she had gotten to the Rec Center on her own, which was interesting.

Looking at Ash she tried to pick her words so they would make the most sense. "No, not like that. I been all over Russia because of var, live her long time. His... Don't think he from Russia and not friend mean not friend. Vas vishing vas friend Davi, not Davi. Don't knov him." She hoped she had gotten across what she meant to. She spoke English well, very well and understood it just as well if not better but when she was nervous or in a new situation she found it harder to get her point across. Taking a breath she looked back over her shoulder, glancing at Jack as she bit; trying to give him a smile but it came out as a thinned lipped one like it always did when she felt like this.

Astrid nodded a bit before she turned to get a few things from the cabinet. Hearing Victor she bit her tongue. She did not like that he was lying to the girl but it was not her place to tell about anyone else's condition to another. It was a breach of what Victor had taught her and she would not break that. Taking a breath she turned back and wandered back over to Kris. She made quick work of the ankle as she wrapped it up and then held out a couple of naproxen and a glass of water. "This will help with pain and swelling," she said before walking over to the walkie and calling up Miss Sally in the Mess Hall.

"Yes, she will need ice periodically tonight. Two cups an hour per the ration standard for this. Thank you," she said before putting the walkie back in its resting place. Going over to the closet she retrieved a pair of crutches and adjusted the height on them before handing them over to Kris. "Stay off of it as much as you can the next two days. Come back tomorrow for me to check and rewrap. Ice will be in the mess hall tonight for you come dinner time. Keep it elevated. If the pain becomes too much or you have any other symptoms come back," she said before turning back to Victor and going to work at drawing the blood samples she needed for the testing.

The dice have determined that you will be in the Grand Continental Hotel - Suite 251. It isn't huge but is it beautiful. A three room suite - bedroom, sitting room, and a small private bath. Which is rare at this time. Fans in each room and indoor plumbing are a welcome luxury. E10 is the quadrants. Glass on the windows and a simple ring to the front desk if you wish to have room service

Jesmand smirked a bit at the announcement. It wasn't what she would have said but it did the job and got the point across in true Shira style. Looking at the rest of those on the bridge she cocked a brow. "You heard the woman," she quipped as a few stood there or sat there with their mouths agape. It only took those few words to get them back to work and nodded slightly towards Shira. "Very good," she said to her before taking a step and looking at the planned course. Another nod of approval. Not much time was saved but with such a short journey she was pleasantly surprised that any had been saved at all. The woman showed promise.

Turning she stepped over to Marcel and took a long a breath as she clasped her hands behind her back, giving Targon a sideways glance in the process. "Well, I am not one for such matters but I wonder if perhaps some would be a bit to zealous at this point. If they are indeed two love birds, use that. If they are not you know as well as I that you will be able to break that facade down quickly to reveal the truth. Or you could just cut to the chase and inform them if they do not tell you what they know they will be turned over to Targon, there are some recordings of some of his tactics on the main frame. I doubt few would hold out when they are made aware they could be exposed to such similar treatments. Do let them know though if they cooperate that they will be treated fairly and could save themselves much pain," she said, stressing the last bit of her message and looking back at Targon for a moment as if warning him to make sure he took her words to note.

turning as she heard Jaina returned she took a short breath this time and steeled her nerves. She had her personal sword in hand, which to her meant she had been playing with it once again; which meant her walls would need redecorating... again. "Thank you my dear," she said taking the candy and the sword as she reached out. Looking down at the sword she cocked a brow as a thought came to her mind. "Now Jaina, if you will be so good as to go up to observation and keep a keen eye out before us it would be most appreciated. If you do this task without issue I will give you a lesson with the sword later when we have some down time." She knew the woman was skilled in many things but this sword was not one of them, perhaps she would take her up on the offer.

Bobbing his head in thought, he had come up with a few ideas that may work but he would have to discuss them with the Commodore before hand. Not that he needed her permission to have to change anything medical on the ship or his treatment for a patient but what he had in mind involved the use of the ship, or at least a private room of it, and a few items that would need to be acquired; something he would need her permission about.

The announcement had been made and he knew they would be taking off soon for the journey, figuring he was in a good a place as any he kept thinking to himself; trying to come up with alternatives and get a running list in his head going about how he could help his little one as it were. He did want to be careful not to change who she was but help her better focus her antics so it would not be a determinant to the crew over all. It was one thing to have to fix up the crew from time to time, it was his job after all. Yet, he didn't want to have to keep patching people up.

Looking up as he heard a voice he nodded a bit. "Well indeed I am, she is unique one our little Jaina. I wish to find a method to better help her retain who she is but without the, how shall I say, collateral damage she can sometimes inflict on the rest of the crew," he stated as he motioned with his eyes to those that were getting patched up currently.

The dice have determined that Walsh owns a small 1 bedroom flat in the Gheit el Idda district. Quadrant E10. It is on the second story, which is the top floor for his building. The building is a smaller one sandwiched between two other buildings and only has two apartments - the main floor on the street level and Walsh's above. It is a large room for the main living/office area with a small kitchen off to the side along one wall, there is opening between the main area and the bedroom area that has no door but a curtain in it's place. There is a ceiling fan over each room and large windows that have cross hatched shutters you can see through, no glass on the windows. It is sparsely furnished.

In the Cs place the following - Gheit el Idda, apartment on Shari Hasen El Akbar 3rd block from corner of Shari Abdin.

Once moved to Cs page I will update the original OOC and place him in the approved character list.

Personality: Vera is a kind spirit who loves what she loves; Egypt. She is very devoted to her family and would be to her friends if she had any. She tries to find the good in situations but it not naive enough to believe that everyone has good within them. Relentless in her pursuits she is extremely passionate and enthusiastic when it comes to history, research, and artifacts. Perhaps she would be this way with people as well but she has little contact with them other than what is required from day to day.

A bit of a loner, she keeps to herself but much of that is because her nose is either in a book or because she is a bit of a klutz and tends to cause situations without even knowing it until it is too late. While very confidant in her abilities and her knowledge, she can be skittish at times and will cower back until forced with no other option than to deal with a situation personally. It is not that she is a coward, she just know where her skills lay and combat is not one of them. History

What Brings You To Cairo: Vera had always been intrigued, if not completely obsessed, with Egypt since she was a small girl. When Carter, who was funded by her uncle, was growing close to what he felt was a discovery she pleaded with her Uncle to let her join him in Egypt. He agreed and she was on her way; taking a job at the Egyptian Museum.

Life Before You Moved To Cairo: Vera was born in London England. Her father was an archeologist and her mother was an Egyptian that he met on a dig in Thebes. She grew up with a simple life in London, going to school and her parents indulging her every desire to learn more about her mothers native land; making sure she could speak both her parents languages fluently as she grew up. Vera adored every moment of it, her nose usually in a book than doing anything else.

Her parents preferred it that way, she was never a graceful child. Seemingly always a clutz on some level but they could never be sure if that was just because she had two left feet or simply the effect of her having said nose in a book as she walked and never paying attention to anything else going on around her. Either way, she learned the basics - Riding, Swimming - but other than that she spent her time either in school or studying Egypt on her own.

When she was in her first year at Whitelands College, studying to be a teacher, her parents were killed in a plane crash on their way back from Egypt on Holiday. Vera was crushed but her uncle quickly took her under his wing and ensured that she finished her education. She took a job teaching after college but was never satisfied with it. She wanted to be in the field. It wasn't until later on when her uncle finally agreed, that she would be able to leave England and peruse something closer to where her passion lay; Egypt.

Life Since You Moved To Cairo: It has been interesting to say the least. She was privileged to be one of the first to see within KV62 and all the wonders it held. When her uncle died though things changed. It didn't stop her love of Egypt, in fact it fueled it. She wanted and still wants to prove that it wasn't some silly curse that took her uncle from this world but hard facts and science. Yet being a woman provides many limitations even if her uncle made sure she was financially secure before he passed. She has continued to work for the museum since then, trying to figure out just exactly what did happen. Thankfully the curator feels like he owes her uncle and keeps her on staff. (Otherwise she would have been fired for being a clutz the day the man died.)

Vera was none to pleased to be assigned as Williams liaison to the Egyptian Museum when he came out to Cairo for the purposes of "archeology"; given the assignment because he was an American and she was a woman. The two have butted heads constantly but there have been some interesting slips as of late that has the museum gossiping somewhat. It doesn't help that she gets all flustered around him and blushes from time to time.
