⚘ A Brief History ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.
Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.
⚘ Looking Inside ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.
Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

@Vaso Understandable, that was one of the things that drove me to forum Rp over TTRPG - Easier to find a group around here. There are several DnD styles right now. Since you are new to the whole forum game I would suggest starting out in either Free or Casual Sections to get a hang of things. Don't be intimidated though by any of the posts or Cs's around if you run across some longer ones. Just find what fits for you.
The biggest thing is finding the right fit. Some Gm's are much more lax than others, others are just down right pains in the ass and evil GM Overlords (I'm one of the hard asses around here.) I run Duplicity, DnD style, always open if you want to take a gander, link is in my signature; but there are many others as well. A quick search will give you a lot of help.
Also since you are new, check the tutorials section near the bottom of the forum - there is a lot of information there. All else fails, ask. Myself and many others have no problem giving a hand and answering any questions if you just want to drop a pm.
Right now for me it is a general lack of manners and respect. It is one thing to joke around but seriously, just putting a ":P" or an "LOL" at the end of something you say doesn't make it suddenly alright. It actually can make it far more insulting. It doesn't make it alright to be insulting or demeaning towards someone just because you are friends, in fact it can make it that much worse. And seriously, using the excuse "I'm young" or "I'm just a kid" doesn't give you a free card. If you know enough to say that to try to make it alright or acceptable you know better than to say or do it. If you want respect around here you need to give it.
In the last month I have lost so much of what respect I had for some people around here it is ludicrous and down right damn disheartening. I've pulled away from many these last couple of weeks alone because I am finding some just are not worth my time anymore and I do not wish to be exposed to them.
I won't name names but seriously if you are offended by this, taken aback, or wonder if it pertains to you - chances are you really need to reevaluate yourself and your habits. You aren't funny, you are driving away those that were standing by you.

Tim looked at Riley and then around at the scene as things got underway. "I have an annual at the station, if we can get Cynthia there maybe, I figure if Lawson had seen the guy he would have said something. I mean, I know he probably saw him but enough to identify him that is. Hopefully he will be able to answer some questions once they finish patching him up at the hospital," Time said before rubbing his hands through his hair.
Following Cynthia around the corner and into the alleyway he nodded. "Yeah, I think you two are right. She was never a geek and I don't speak Cynthia. God I wish Ada was here, anyone know where she is?" he asked as Cynthia sat down on an old crate and her eyes kept darting around wildly.
"Falling stars, falling stars, like the stars that no longer shine but this star wants to shine, shine brighter than the rest, yes brighter than the rest. Brighter than the rest. Which rest? On the street. Which street. THE street. Oh that street? Yes, that one. Hey, want Chinese food? Oh I could go for some Chinese. Can we get Chinese?" she asked suddenly as she turned and started to look at everyone else around her.
Claire rolled her eyes a bit as NO ONE had followed her and Desh to check things out. Seemed it wasn't exactly a common thing so it SHOULD have raised an alarm with even the regulars there if the owner was making a mad dash to call the hospital. Already back in the dining room and NO having moved irked her a lot. She didn't even know this woman and she was raised in a home where screaming and fists were as common as hugs and kisses but it still rubbed her the wrong way. (Yes, anyone that said they followed, their post is ignored because of the last posts I have made and the ooc notes I left. I will continue to ignore all posts that ignore others posts or instructions left cause I am seriously tired of having to go back to correct people.)
Desh sat down slowly in his chair and rubbed his face a little before glancing back over to Claire who had this look of I'm waiting!. He knew Tasha wasn't one to speak about things but he also knew that if she had to be the one to explain later she would be even more pissed; that was the last thing he wanted to deal with. "Your brother has taken Dr. Brinne to the hospital. Long story short she is a cancer survivor. This is part of the after-effects of the Chemo and Radiation," he said as he leaned back in his seat.
"Is she going to be okay?" Claire asked Desh before looking over to Joel.
"I hope so," was all he would say more.
Claire sighed, she wanted to call her brother and see what was going on but she would just wait and see. Looking over as Cass whipped out the video she took a look and her eyes widened. "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph...." she said as she watched the end of the fight and began to laugh. "Surprised that those two weren't rushed to the ER," she laughed as she covered her mouth before realizing that she hadn't introduced Cass and Joel yet. "Oh Cass, sorry girl! This be me best man Joel, the one I met in Paris. Joel, this be me best girl Cass. Look out she has a bigger temper than me," she said introducing the two.
