⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Things seem to be going as well as can be expected at this point. Gideon is trying to repair the small shuttle on Whitefall before Patience runs out of patience. The boy remains locked in room 9, beginning to doze in and out after trying to find a way to unlock the door but failing. Over on Retribution the odd doctor is finding himself stuck in the bathroom marked "out of order" but no matter of banging or yelling can be heard on the other side of the door. (Sigil will be posting the results of the mans predicament in his next post.) The sparse npc crew of Retribution is making their way in turns to the medical bay as they are called on by Jahosafat to have their blood drawn.

Anisa & Camilla

Location: Room 1 (Anisa's Bunk)

Anisa ran her fingers over the box as she waited for Jackson and Camilla to return, wondering what was inside and at the same time not wanting to know. So much time had passed but not near enough. So much pain had been caused for so many because of that battle and she was starting to understand that the pain was not just one sided anymore. It was not something she wanted to admit but many in the Alliance had been just following orders, convinced that they were doing the right thing. So many had lost so much, poor Jackson being one of them. Sighing she pushed her hair out of her face and glanced up as Camilla came down the ladder followed by Jackson.

"You wanted to see me Captain?" Camilla said as she stepped over to Anisa. The Captain simply nodding and gesturing over towards the box that had been retrieved from the mine. Camilla froze as she saw it, seeing the numbers on it and her lips parting somewhat in the process as she stood there.

"I take it you know this box," Anisa stated rather frankly as she scooted off the edge of her seat as Jackson came over. Camilla nodded as she finally blinked and stepped closer to it. "Can you open it?"

Camilla didn't say anything as she picked it up, running her fingers over it as she stood there. Hearing the Captain clear her throat she just nodded slowly as she placed it back down on the desk. Taking a shaky breath, her hands trembling as she placed her thumb against the reader. The mechanism lit up, a green light running from the tip of her thumb down the length of it. The light then went dark and the box popped open. Camilla took a deep breath as she lifted the lid and pulled out a file. Flipping it open she glanced over it and her eyes widened.

"God help us...." she let out breathlessly. Anisa reached out and snatched the file from Camilla, her eyes following the same reaction that Camilla's had.

"You knew about this?" Anisa sapped and Camilla shook her head quickly as stood there like a deer in headlights. "Then explain!" Anisa bellowed as she handed the file over to Jackson. It was talk of being able to turn the Reavers into soldiers for the Alliance back during the war.

"There were rumors but I had never thought they had gotten so far. I was supposed to transfer to the research department after the war but well... You know why I didn't."

Jahosafat Moreau

Location: Captain's Office -> Medical Bay

Jahosafat cocked a brow as he took a piece of tie and wrapped it around the Captains arm, cutting off the circulation just enough to make his veins show themselves with a bit more ease. Turning he started prepping the hypodermics and shrugged his shoulders a bit. "Ahh but see my good man, our personal life has become our professional life and it influences the decisions and actions we make. I had turned down a similar role in all this excitement before. Wanted nothing to do with it even though it did titillate my senses. Well, then," he said cutting himself off as he turned and took Quinns arm, placing the needle against the skin and slowly pushing it into the flesh, piercing the vein as he did so and began to draw vial after vial of blood.

"Well, then when I found out Camilla was in danger of becoming like our dear friend Jayne in the Medical Bay I found myself no longer able to say no. The chance to stop her light from being snuffed out of 'Verse is definitely my driving force for this entire mission." Pulling out the needle after the last vial was taken he placed a sterile swab on the skin and folded the Captains arm at the elbow, holding it up for a moment. "Keep your arm like that for a moment if you would."

Turning he started to label the vials he had taken as he half way leaned against Quinn's desk, stopping for a moment in mid pen stroke and looking blankly at the wall before him. "I saw her last just a little over a year ago face to face. She looked different, those eyes of hers seemed almost hollow. She had the same smile but it wasn't near as brilliant." Sighing a bit he looked down at the vial of blood in his hands, rolling it back and forth in the process before he continued. "You know what I am speaking about, I know you do. The way she could light up a room with a light laugh and a turn of her head. Never failed to turn the head of any man or woman for that matter in the room without even realising she was doing it. Don't get me wrong, heads still did turn just the light was not there."

Going back to his writing he finished up labeling everything before he stood up and turned back to Quinn, placing a small bandage on his arm before gathering his supplies. Stepping over towards the door he stopped and looked back at Quinn. "Did you know she has been working with the survivors of Battle Of Serenity? I asked her why she would work with the rebels. Her words? To make amends for failing you." Tipping his hat he stepped back out of the Captains office, letting the door slip shut behind him and making his way back to the medical bay.

"Harper, Lobo, please report to the Medical Bay," he said into the ships intercom after checking the manifest of who's blood he still needed to take.

Atticus Pearson

Location: Kitchen

Atticus looked at the pile of meat that Lionel and Camilla had been able to get together and he found his mouth watering at the thought of just having something to eat that wasn't protein rations. Something to actually chew instead of mush around in his mouth. He thought back to the beef and fowl he had eaten in the past, among other things. All a step up from rations even if rations were perhaps something far more nutritious than other meals. He had never had horse before but hey right then meat was meat.

Chuckling a bit he nodded and started to scrounge around the kitchen. He doubted they would have left the kitchen implements out in the black but he could understand where Lionel was coming from. It was a rare day indeed that they were able to cook a real meal so they were not needed very often. In time he found them but they were dusty and dirty from disuse. "Ask and the Lord shall provide." Sighing he dropped them into the sink and got to scrubbing away. "Though maybe I should have specified clean items," he laughed s he rolled his sleeves up.

"I wish we had something to go with all this but I don't have anything really edible in my quarters but I do have some good whiskey if you think that would be of use," he commented lightly as he dried off one of the pans and glanced back over to Lionel, setting up things as they were washed and dried so it was easy for the man to retrieve them without having to move too much.

Kyra & Sana

Location: The Orc Cave (Outside)
Interacting With: Each Other and Others

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kyra glanced over towards the group as a whole from where she sat with Sana off to the side of the fire. Cyneburg was speaking mostly and giving some decent input as far as Kyra was concerned. Sana wasn't listening so much to what was being said, instead keeping an ear and eye out around them.

"Well whoever or whatever the cause is, sooner we get this whole treaty thing worked out the better. I doubt either side will fight along side each other but it will hopefully at least stop them from trying to kill each other in the process," Kyra said as she sat there running her hand along the string of her bow. It was a rare thing to see Orcs and Humans working together, hell it was rare to see them not trying to slaughter each other. It did make her wonder just what was going on but she felt they would probably find more out back at the village than they would out here in the woods. At least there someone might know something, if only a passer by.

Sana cocked a brow as Njat headed off, tilting her head to the side she wondered what he was up to but let it be. He seemed to be rather amiable; always trying to help and not causing trouble. If he wanted to go off into the woods she figured he would be fine, she just hoped he wouldn't go too far in case any undead did make an appearance that evening. Sighing she glanced over towards Kyra. "I'm going to try to get some sleep for now, wake me for last watch," she said as she curled over and leaned against the tree somewhat, closing her eyes as she did so.

Kyra nodded slightly, letting Sana do her thing. Glancing over towards Cyneburg she belted out a laugh. "Might do him some good to be left here, if only we could get the Chief to agree to it," she laughed, doubting the leader of the Orcs would agree to something like that but the thought alone made her laugh.
@Lucius Cypher Go ahead and post, nothing to notice just yet. Results won't come until Sigil posts again and two people will need to post before he can post the results. Just basically take Sigils last post with him walking off. His next will post results people can react to.
@HaleyTheRandom Sure thing, was glad to.

The night had been long but having kept busy arranging her gown for the evening to come had not made Elizaveta wander through the night or lay there tossing and turning because of the time zone difference. By the time she was able to get to sleep she had fallen to dream land quickly and slept pleasantly enough. Turning and seeing Mei Mei in the room she smiled graciously as the woman in red came over to her and introduced herself. Taking her hand in her own gently, she gave a respectful curtsy; lowering her head somewhat in the process. Waiting until she rose fully and released the woman's hand before she spoke.

"It is truly a pleasure to finally meet you. I have looked forward to being able to speak to you since I learned of this event. I am most thankful that you are making time in your schedule to speak with me at this moment," she said in a dove-like voice as she stood there. "And please, call me Veta. My title makes me sound like I am my grandmothers age," she said with a light chortle as she spoke.

There was a gentle light in the way she spoke and carried herself while she spoke to Mei Mei. She had wanted to get to know the ruler of Liang for some time after what she had learned about her and her country. The woman had seemed to have been through so much and yet she carried herself with strength as well as grace. It was a beautiful combination that Mei Mei seemed to carry effortlessly and for that alone Elizaveta couldn't help but admire her.

"I hope you were able to sleep well last night and that you are finding your stay here pleasant thus far," she added after a moments pause. Glancing slightly out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of her betrothed and Caterina in the castle walking together. Her brow barely moved but it twitched just slightly pondering why they were together at such an early hour. They had said yesterday that there was nothing between them and she trusted their words but there was something about the two wandering about so early at this time alone that would have caused a scandal in even some of the looser tradition nations. Appearances were something that could be even more trusted than the truth itself and after everything her Empire had been through, appearances alone could force her to have to break off a betrothal. It was not something she wished but if they were going to be alone with each other, could she risk the damage it could present to her nation at this time after so many years of turmoil?
@Lucius Cypher No he really just got into a farting contest with an Orc.

Location: Egyptian Museum

Vera looked over towards her uncle for a moment, a bit dumb struck by the entire series of events before nodding quickly. "Yes, of course," she said to let him know she was alright. Taking the flask from him she took a quick jolt of it before coughing as she swallowed. Vera was not one to drink and when she did the woman could not hold her liquor by any stretch of the imagination. She knew the flask would have alcohol in it but she hadn't expected the kick that came along with it. Handing it over to to him once again she let out a shallow breath.

"Thank you," she said gratefully, though it was not hidden on her features that she would have much preferred a cup of tea over what she had just consumed.

"Considering you aren't branded or glowing, I think you and Uncle Regi are the only two that aren't damned in this enigma we are wrapped in like the Pharaohs," Vera said to William as she looked down at the pendant in her fingers and felt the engraving that was now in the back of the gold. Perking a brow she unfastened it and pulled it from around her neck, laying it down on her desk carefully as she flipped it over so she could take note of what was there now that hadn't been for all these years that she had worn it.

Looking over towards Nora she gave her a small smile. "Thank you Lady Kingston, right good of you to understand and forgive my unladylike outburst," she said in a grateful voice before sighing. "And I haven't the mind for flimflams or hokum, I am a lady of Science, and this scientifically has no reason," she admitted as she picked up her glasses and placed them back on the tip of her nose.

"Quiet right. Even one such as myself would prefer a bobble to illuminating myself like a gourde on All Hallows Eve," she added towards Josephine as she looked at the necklace. "I wouldn't believe so. At least not for you and most of the others Mr. Elvsgaard. Myself and Mr. Drake have been within tombs before, so if such things did exist, which I don't believe in them, we would be the targets. Yourself, Lady Kingston, Lord Keystone, and Miss Clark here; well I do not see you four traipsing around in the dirt and dust of a tomb," Vera said as she took a closer look at the markings.

"Then again..." she added as she ran her fingers over the symbols and then pulled one of the books she had opened on her desk closer to her. "It's hieroglyphics. For Bastet...." she said as she rested the pendant back down on her desk and turned the book so the others could see. Looking up over the rim of her glasses she looked over towards William, the only other person who knew of such things - or at least that she knew of in the group. "But why brand some, send dreams to all, but I get this?" she pondered towards him and outloud to herself.

Taking a breath she pulled off her glasses and looked over towards Josephine. "All signs point to Bastet, perhaps we should go see the goddess herself..."

Location: Grand Continental (Main Lobby)

Aziza unfastened the necklace quickly and tossed it onto the table. It did not burn like the light had when it was in her skin but when the light flashed from the piece of jewelry she didn't want it around her neck anymore. Looking over towards Lauren, her eyes wide with fear and befuddlement. "I wish I knew," she said as she shook out her hands and wrapped her arms around herself.

Looking over towards Henry she worried even more. "Mr. Walsh, are you alright?" she asked nervously as she looked at his hand and his ring as the light died down. Sighing she looked at her necklace and noticed the new engraving on it, leaning closer to it she took a better look at it but refused to touch it. Aziza didn't know how to read hieroglyphics but she had lived in the nation most of her life and such symbols were everywhere even if only to draw in tourists in this day and age.

"I don't know what this says but maybe the museum does? Maybe we shouldn't wait until tomorrow to go speak to them?" she said before rubbing the spot on her neck where the necklace had laid. Taking a deep breath she tried to calm her nerves and swallow the lump in her throat.
