If things get real bad and you have to resort to cannibalism remember: Vegans first, they are the closest thing to grass fed.

March didn't come in like a lion... It came in like a T-Rex with PMS, and hemorrhoids, wearing barbed wire undies....

⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

@mnkee I think I am the reason people develop bi-polar disorders.
Oh, that's simple - Don't join one of my Rp's. LOL
@Lauder I know, I can't wait!!! I have the IC post prepped and ready to go. Turned out longer than expected but ~shrugs~ Oh well, lol
@gohKamikaze Everything sorted or still waiting?
Murphy sat there for a few minutes, letting Lincoln process the fact that he had just been handed back an engagement ring; the engagement ring. Rubbing his face he sat back in his chair and glanced down at Cass before looking back over towards Lincoln. "A couple of weeks ago, when things started getting bad," he said as he sat there. He couldn't imagine this was easy on Lincoln. It wasn't easy on him and Tasha was just a friend.

Murphy had wondered just how serious Lincoln was about Tasha when he showed up, if he would actually stand by her, if he actually cared or if it was just a personal thing to get what he wanted. It was obvious though over the past weeks that Lincoln was ridiculously in love with the doctor. He was always with her, taking care of her. Murphy hated that he had to but it put him at ease that he didn't have to worry about something else going wrong with Tasha. She was having enough to deal with and didn't need a broken heart on top of it. She, in his mind, wouldn't have fought as hard if that was the case. Murphy wasn't going to tell English this but he gave the man credit for Tasha still kicking through all this and was the main reason he felt she wouldn't be leaving them anytime soon.

"Find the good in the bad," Murphy said as he rested his head back and looked up at the ceiling. He hadn't always felt that way but Tasha's words echoed a lot these days. How she managed to do it was beyond him but the damn woman could find a silver lining to anything.

The minutes seemed to stop as they sat there, minutes turning into hours. Murphy sat, paced, tried to keep Lincoln from breaking down entirely - telling him as long as they were still working she was still alive. Outside to smoke, back in, outside again. Pulling Cass close to just hold her and be grateful she wasn't going through all this; he had become rather attached to her over the last weeks. Seeing something out of the corner of his eye Murphy turned his attention down the hall and saw Dr. Kumar standing there, still in his scrubs from surgery and looking worn and broken.

"English..." Murphy said, letting go of Cass and stepping over to his friend, standing there and waiting to catch him if he collapsed. There was no sign of Tasha yet, just the doctor standing there and then taking a few slow steps towards the small group.
Okay, maybe not completely a weird idea but an idea that I find would be difficult to host here on this forum. I got HBO on Demand a while back and started flipping through older shows. One was OZ. Now, that was a twisted show in a lot of ways. Got me to thinking about hosting a Prison RP. Thing is with what happens behind the walls of a prison is not exactly kid friendly if you get the drift. Sure there is fade to black and such for some things but working out the dynamics of an OZ type situation it a bit foreboding even for me. Granted I still want to do it at once point, just figuring out the how's is going to put it on the back burner for a while.
Death is a tool I utilize a LOT in RP. Thing is for me, it isn't so much the death of the character but that characters impact once they are gone. What it does to the dynamic of the group as a whole. Granted, I leave death in RP up to the gods per-say - in other words - the dice. Most of my Rp's are set with some form of slice-of-life realism to them and in real life sometimes death just happens. There is no reason behind it other than death decided that day you are going to die. If your number comes up, it comes up. There is nothing around it.

Sure certain circumstances will raise the chance that someone dies, so it is more likely to happen. For example in my Walking Dead and Darker Than Black Rp's - These Rp's are set up in such a setting that death is EVERYWHERE. They have racked up high death tolls. It's just part of it. (And the Rpers are very aware of that, most have multiple characters and back up characters ready to go) Getting killed is kind of just expected but it doesn't mean it hits any less hard than in an RP where death rarely happens. I actually have found that the long term effects for many in those Rp's becomes a pivotal part of the development of the story for those that survive. Sometimes everyone surviving is much less impact-full and believable than everyone dying.

Now with other devices such as torture, rape, and so forth - it is a different story; to a point. I find that you don't have to do into grave detail about these types of things. You can Hitchcock it. (It happens behind the scenes, no one sees it or very little is seen.) Then again, it goes back to how that one moment play out in the long term. How does the characters mind change, how do they cope, over come it, succumb to it? How do their changes change those around them.

In the end, these things can all be very effective tools for both character and RP development. Everyone is going to go about it differently, just as everyone goes about Rping differently. For me, it is more about finding like minds. Seeking out Rpers that are on the same page as you. If you can do that, then the skies the limits and tools are most effectively utilized.

@Oliver @Nallore @Morose @FantasyChic @Rivaan @Sigil - Astrid waits for the tell tale voice of God, I mean Ash to ring in through the Sat phone, looking over towards Raymond as he asks for another to come. Turning slightly she heads over to the other side of the room and leans back against the wall looking at the growing group. They seemed to have a decent set up here but it was by no means a long term solution. "We have one severed leg here as we thought but it seems more happened while we were on our way. We have two children here, one with a severe compound fracture and one who is suffering from severe malnutrition. Requesting permission to bring the children as well as the companion of the man who's leg was severed," she said in her usual flat tone. Keeping things short and informative. Turning her head slightly her tone changed. "These kids need our help Ash," she said, her voice a tad more caring than it normally was but it was something Ash would be used to. Anytime she dealt with children a softer side of Astrid came out. Looking back over to the group she waited for his answer as her hand rested on the beard of her ace and she looked over towards Ed a bit, raising a brow at his "haircut"

Lyon watched the woman intently as he sat there next to Ciel. He didn't like the idea of more people leaving their care but if Beni trusted them enough to send them here to get the new guy and for him to stay behind he had to trust them as well. It sat badly in the pit of his stomach but there was nothing that could be done about it right then. These people needed care, far more than Franklin could provide. Astrid had come in like a force, getting right to work, and then making a phone call as if she was an EMT back before everything had gone down, reporting into the hospital. Just how good were things over in Newnan?

@Nallore @Caits - Beni nods slightly. "Yes of course," he said before Sophia left. Outside Fabrication won't be difficult to find; it is in Building 5 across the street heading south west from the Courthouse right next to the Repair shop in building 4. Things outside seem pretty calm and looking about it seems that Richard has been working on repairing something for the town. He is wandering from the repair shop and back up north towards Zoies place about this time. He doesn't say anything, just giving a general nod in the girls direction as he continues on his way. Tom from the Armory rushed by with the sat phone but pays no one any mind as he speeds into the Infirmary to drop it off for Ash, before turning tail and running right back to the Armory. The man isn't leaving weapons alone even behind locked doors for long with so many new people in town. Fabrication will have an area designated for recycling oils and such with a clip board on the wall to write down what was dropped of, from where, when it was left, and by who.

@Nallore @Sigil @Morose - Tatiana looked over towards Jack and remembered their many dance lessons together - The Chicken Dance was very popular. She adored Jack, loved him more than anything, but she was not going to delude herself. The man was not the most graceful. Okay, he was in his own sweet and endearing way but with pins flying around and possible knives at one point in the future... Yeah, she didn't want him at risk. She had seen the circus growing up and what they did in Vegas as well. These were not simple acts, people did die. Wouldn't that be something, to die in the circus instead of by a Walker in this day and age. "Nyet, not for tonight. Future, get better. Tonight simple. Ve can work Jack in, if he vant," she said before looking up and smiling at Jack. "No hov you say? Goffing?"
@Sigil - On day 6
@Catchphrase Sure thing, glad to help. Go ahead and move him over to the CS tab for the Rp ^^
