⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

@mnkee Ahh but Thalken isn't the reason for her state of mind. The people of Millicent's house just don't know that Milli ran into Catherine.

So, no worries - he isn't affecting her negatively. (At all LOL)
>TMW you realize that your character is a root cause of another character's distressed state.

Elizaveta remained where she was, unmoving during her prayer except to reach out to Myska as he took notice of Fyror coming towards Elizaveta with his hand on the hilt of his sword. The mans advances were not taken kindly by the purrtective feline. Myska letting out a low guttural growl and baring his teeth a bit. The cats tail flicking slightly and thudding against the marble floor with a soft echo. It was a warning of sorts it seemed but as Elizaveta's hand came out and rested against the animal, her fingers running through his fur.

"Myska, неподвижно себе." Her voice calm and unwavering as she spoke. Myska turned his head and looked like he might snap her hand for a moment before it fluttered out and licked the grand duchess's hand. A gentle smile coming to Elizaveta's lips as Myska settled back down. His body curling more around his master and laying his head in her lap heavily as she scratched between his ears lightly. He lay there panting contently, the tip of his tongue hanging out as he watched Fyror.

Most of the ton had cleared out by this time, except those few who were family of those that had departed, still morning the loss of their loved ones. Bodies still needed to be moved and time was growing short. (In other words, let's get a move on peeps. lol Gather those bodies and get them to Veta so we can wrap up the night. You have a clear at this point to move bodies to move time forward. Let's wrap up moving bodies to Veta this round.)

Abigail kept moving from Millicent's room to the kitchen and back to drain the tub of water. It was all she could do for now for her Mistress because it seemed, not even Gerard being there and speaking to her was snapping her out of the living comatose state she was in. She didn't move when he took her hand, her eyes didn't blink when he spoke. A living statue whose eyes were far more hollow than the marble used to carve a figure.

The handmaiden wondered what could have been going through her mind. Part of her hoped her mind was a blank as her expression, that she wasn't reliving what had happened to her that evening. The trauma that Millicent must have gone through made Abigail cringe and she, as the others in the house, was still unaware of Millicent having to watch Catherine's beheading at the hands of Thalken that evening.

Out on the street, a carriage pulled up after a time and Cook opened the door to see who it was since she did not recognize the carriage. Abigail was coming from the kitchen as Emma emerged from the carriage and said a few words to the driver before heading up the stairs. It was probably a good thing that Millicent's window faced the back yard and not the front for even Emma was covered in blood. "Miss Emma, are you alright? What of your mother?" Cook asked as Emma handed over her redicule.

"I... I am fine. Mother is resting at the hospital," she said as she stepped inside and Abigail helped her out of her coat. "I need rest, mother sent me home for the night. Go fetch Millicent, she needs to stay with mother the rest of the evening," Emma said blankly. The girl was hardly fine but she wasn't going to let it show, at least she was trying not to.

"Miss Emma.. About Miss Milli," Abigail said biting her bottom lip.

"What about Millicent?" Emma said, her lips thinning slightly. This was going to be a hard conversation to have.
@The Grey Dust Yes you can edit for color code. As far as rolls for remembering the recipe for Sunshine in a bottle - pm me before your next post for results.
@mnkee You know it would depend on what Thalken says/does before/if he walks away considering Mary is not only still pointing the gun at him but has her hand on the hilt of her sword now as well. He can start walking away, which doesn't need a roll, but he wouldn't be out of the room before the end of "battle turn" - what happens after that would depend on whether or not Mary decides to pull the trigger. So go ahead with your post but end it no later than him reaching the doorway.
@FantasyChic I still don't have one. Check the participants of said pm if you are using an old pm. If my name isn't there, it means I deleted it and there for have received no pm sent from it since. I clean out my in box regularly.
@FantasyChic I haven't gotten a pm

Barracks: Aziza glanced over towards Josephine and Haakon, only half hearing the conversation since she listening more to Lauren at the time. Though from what she had caught she wasn't too worried about. She wanted to know what was going on as well. Granted she wasn't too interested in why Vera fainted, between drinking and what seemed to be tense between Vera and Mr. Drake it seemed kind of obvious to her. As far as the whole mystery, hell yes she wanted to know. She trusted Josephine, Haakon not so much but that was only because of her fear of her ex-husband finding her and the attack the night before. She just hoped the journalist had as much integrity as Josephine seemed to think he did.

Glancing around she noted the man from the prison was still there and it seemed he wasn't paying attention right then. Apparently it wasn't his concern that someone passed out and he was staying out of the way. Probably a good thing. Looking back to Josephine she put her finger to her lips and motioned towards the prison man. As much as she figured they wanted to talk about things, they had signed the paper not to discuss it in front of anyone that wasn't part of the military or their group. That man obviously wasn't. Looking over at Mr. Drake, she remembered he wasn't either. He wasn't there to sign any papers the night before, he wasn't a member of the military from what she knew. So he was another they couldn't talk about such things in front of currently.

As the bottle was held in front Vera, she breathed it in. A little at first and she responded, somewhat. Her head turning slightly and she seemed to sigh in a half asleep state. "Will..." she seemed to whisper as her hand waved lightly in front of her face. Coming to slightly caused her to breath in more deeply and then her eyes snapped open and she gasped as she slid back from it quickly. "Oh God! What is that!" she exclaimed as she half sat up before pressing her hand to her head and swooning slightly. "Oh my... why is the room spinning?" Placing her other hand on the ground she tried to stay sitting up as she looked around confused to why everyone was gathered around her and she was on the floor. "Um hello?"

It was about that time that the Medic came rushing into the room with his pack and over to them. Aziza placing her hand in Harry's and taking a step back to give the man more room. "Well hello to you too," he aid as he knelt down and placed his hand to her head. "From what I was told you had a momentary lapse of consciousness."

"Oh dear..." she muttered under her breath, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

"No worries Lady Munn, just hold still and let me check you," he said in a calm voice as he checked her eyes and her heart rate. Vera bit her bottom lip lightly as she sat there, her eyes drifting to William and then looking away quickly. The Medic quirked a brow before taking a breath and helping Vera to her feet. Vera stumbled slightly, the Medic slipping an arm around her to steady her. "Lord Major, I believe she is just a bit dizzy but I will take her to the infirmary to be sure," he said towards Keystone, he figured she was fine but he wasn't going to take any shortcuts when it came to the Lord Majors niece.

"You there, give us a hand would you?" he said singling out Mr. Drake.

"What?" Vera asked confused, her eyes darting over to William and feeling her cheeks warm again. Him? Carrying her? Oh this couldn't be happening....

"He seems strapping enough to carry you, you shouldn't walk right now Lady Munn," the medic assured her. Mr. Drake was the tallest and seemed to be the most fit out of the men present that were not on guard. The Medic himself was younger and while he had drug men from foxholes this was a lady and he figured needed a bit more of a delicate touch than the potato sack treatment.

"No, I am fine I assure you. I can walk," she said taking a step and nearly hitting the floor again. The medic steadied her and gave her an incredulous look. Sighing deeply she nodded slightly, acquiescing in silence.

"Good, no come now. Help a lady out," he Medic said motioning for William to come take Vera off his hands.

Garden City: Aton chuckled slightly and shook his head a bit. "I see all my aunt's beauty, I just know a diamond when I see one," he said with a bit of a wink.

"Oh you, get out of here before you you make a bigger fool of yourself," Neema chuckled smacking her nephew slightly. He mockingly rubbed his arm and laughed.

"Very well, I will get going. I have a message to deliver," he added, his eyes not leaving Nora as he gave her a parting nod before hurrying on his way and out the door to deliver the message and run errands. Neema shook her head with an understanding aunt look before glancing back over to Nora.

"You know, he isn't one to flatter a lady if he didn't think it were true. Glad to see my nephews eye sight is holding strong," she said as he left. "I believe I have just a few more things to tend to before I am finished. If you need anything, please just ring the bell in your room. I shouldn't be but a few, if you would like I believe we should visit an old friend of mine at the museum, the curator and I go way back. He might be able to help us."

The Road To The Museum: It would take a few to get the alleyway but once there the crowds thinned substantially. Most were focused on the over turned cart and it left the side street more open than the rest of the road in that area. Mosi would be able to detour around the cart crash and crowd without problem it seemed. The largest amount of "things" in the alleyway was a bunch of cat mulling about and meowing as they hurried from this way to that. One just sitting there perched on top of a statue of what looked to be a pharaoh, eying Mosi with its golden eyes. It's short cream colored fur shining in the light of the alleyway as it meowed slightly.

While the side street was more open there were still vendors there but they seemed to cater more to the local crowd and not the tourists. There were not lines of tables or stalls set up selling the latest gaudy trinkets. The food was home style and not catering to the tourists. Older women sat there cooking in their open kitchens with large windows and trays laid out for them to serve if people wanted. The smell of incense was heavier in the closer surroundings and there was even a few places that were selling various items that looked to be older.
@yoshua171 Phoenix Wing is a large RP yes, Caits the Gm is currently in TWD RP of mine, so I am familiar with it due to the posting habit check I do on anyone wanting to join one of the Rp's I GM. This is an RP that has been running for over 3 years. What I am referring to is when you are already in an RP - you read as you go. You read every post both IC and OOC between your last post before you post again.

If someone is in an RP from the beginning then yes, they should have read the entire OOC and IC over that three years period. Yes, some might be strapped for time, hell who isn't these days? This is one of the reasons why my rule list is so very long compared to most Gm's. I know the amount of time and dedication it takes to be in one of my Rp's but I hold each Rper to the same standard when it comes to posting and reading the posts.

As far as someone coming into an RP after it begins - No. I don't require they read everything. I may require them to read the last round of posting so they know positions of everyone or I may require them to start without reading at all and just to wait for the World Narrative I post after they are approved. Now once they make their first IC post, yes, a must to read every post from there on out while they are in the RP.

Now touching on the what if they aren't anywhere near the others. Say another city, another state, country? Yes, I still do. I have Rp's here people are in different parts of the same city, I have Rps where people are in different countries, still read. You never know what could be dropped where or by who. Especially in situations like in my Rp's or in NRP's. I know summaries are used in some cases, was exposed to that on my previous account here, Afina, when I was in Brimstone. Yes, it is useful as a way to remember certain things in a long post after you read it but I still am with the read everything. (Hell I joined Brimstone late and ended up reading the entire RP before I joined lol)

Outside the realm of "well you will miss something" or "my character isn't near them" or what ever argument you have for or against the need to read all posts - for me take all that away and it boils down to one thing... I want people to read my posts, I put time and effort into them and because of this I will read everyone's post out of respect for the time and effort they made to create their post. It's just common courtesy and something I fear is far lacking in many areas of the RP world.
@Nightrunner I am glad to see you have returned and are still interested but sadly we are currently full when it comes to new comers to the RP, even ones previously approved. We have less actual characters than we did before but we are approaching the final stage in this chapter of the RP. I would however suggest to keep an eye out - once this chapter is finished I will be reopening it for new characters.
