⚘ A Brief History ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.
Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.
⚘ Looking Inside ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.
Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Sexuality: Hetero-Sexual Relationship Status: Single Personality: Some people stay the same and others change and adapt. Kyra is one such person. One that used to be a boisterous leader, who took charge of situations is no longer present. One who would yell and blow up at certain times is now calm and relaxed, almost aloof when it comes to the present situations. She is still dedicated to those around her but she does not lead anymore. She is rather aimless to what is going on and doesn't seem to have direction. It seems she has chosen not to anymore more than it just being because it was forced on her during her time.
The aimlessness though makes it hard to figure things out about her. She is vague when questioned and vague when it comes to doing anything. The who, what, when, why, and how's no longer matter. The days run together so why bother? Time and the rest of existence is relative to her. She is cold about situations and people, keeping a distance instead of trying to be there or supportive. Sexuality: Hetero-Sexual Relationship Status: Single Personality: Elizaveta is a kind and old soul, carrying herself as if she is from another time period. A graceful young woman who is as comfortable among the aristocrats as she is with her own people. She will not hesitate to stop an important meeting to help a servant pick up a spilt glass or exit a procession to hand over an umbrella to a child or elderly person if they are stuck in the rain; a trait that has endeared her to her people.
She is a person who will look at a situation from all angles and perspectives; weighing the pros and cons before she makes a decision. She is meticulous when it comes to details; whether that comes to what she says, how she acts, a choice for her nation, or even down to how she chooses what to wear. Each detail is carefully planned out with a specific reason and purpose. Now that does not mean she takes long to favor speak, she is quick witted and knows when to trust her gut.

Sexuality: Sapiosexual Relationship Status: Single Personality: Time and events change everyone. The once bubbly personality of Evelina is much darker these days. Sarcasm and single-mindedness has replaced a bubbly personality. Though still unselfish she is more driven than before. Having to survive does that. Yet the rest of humanity comes first still and above anything else. Less of a mediator these days she is more likely to fight and kill to end a problem. Far less hangups with taking a life. It all comes back.
Somethings never change though. Always looking at the bigger picture she takes her position as The Dice very seriously. She knows that the dice she holds can and do determine the fate of so many things; she never takes this responsibility lightly. She is one that has to remain as completely neutral as possible, like Death itself. Good or Bad does not matter in her mind when a choice must be determined; at least she cannot let her personal feelings affect the outcome. This can make her seem callous to many considering just how many lives her role has claimed over the years. Many an innocent have lost their lives because of her while plenty of evil remained in the world.
Yet, do not let this cold exterior fool you. She feels every last life she takes, every pain her position causes, and takes little comfort in the good she has done. Because of this neutrality she has to keep during a "choice" she can be rather closed off and distant; making attachments beyond those she must is something she tries very hard to avoid. She has lost and caused the loss of many over the years, added pain is not something she wishes to endure and because of this she carried a rather tormenting melancholy beneath the surface.

Alter Form:

The ability to alter one's appearance or dress by willing it to occur. Human forms only, may change gender and age. No shorter than 3ft, not taller than 7ft. Holds form until willed to change or until knocked forcibly unconscious.
Animal Control (Specify Type):
Will
The ability to control a specific type of animal to make them follow simple to moderate commands, must be within line of sight. Commands can be given mental to animals the character is acquainted with and have worked with before and they can respond (like with Animal Empathy). Does not effect shape-shifters.
Animal Empathy:
Will
The ability to communicate with a normal animal via a direct mind link. Animal will not attack the person using this skill unless attacked first. Animal will answer yes/no questions or a request to do something that does not put its life in danger.

The ability to prophesize events that have a high probability of occurring. These events can be in the present, the past, or the future. They can also occur for any timeline. Each card flipped tells part of the story. It can be very clear and to the point or even vague. It will depend on circumstance, if she is actually looking for something specific, or if just checking to check.
Crowd Control:
Will
The ability to control crowds. Up to five words may be spoken to issue a single command, and the crowd must act upon it immediately. Now depending on the willpower of persons in the crowd they may break free from it. The command lasts until the task is done or until The Watch can no longer see the crowd with their eyes. When the ability is broken the crowd is left dazed and confused to what is happening for up to three minutes.
*Disrupt Death:

The ability to stop death from fully taking hold. The person is not alive nor dead, nor kindred. They are of the in-between. It cannot be used on a Paradox or an Emendator.

The ability to change an event from it's sudden path, once the dice are tossed the outcome is what is becomes and nothing can change it.
Glassibility:

The ability to go Glassy (Invisible) at will. This skill only renders the person invisible, not inaudible, so sound can give one away. Now depending on how successful one is using this skill it can render them completely invisible, including no shadow, or there can be flaws to the invisibility such as a slight shadow or light refracts slightly through the area of the person's body. User is unaware if there are flaws.

Mary Poppins Carpet Bag in a much more travel friendly version. What is needed is provided. Perhaps not always in the way one would want. Some thing's are just too big to be pulled out of The Hat. Yet never fear, where there is a will there is way.
Infection:

The ability to infect a human being with a plague like disease fitting for the time period by touch. High chance of a prolonged and severely painful death.
Healing:
Fit
The ability to heal wounds and diseases on a single creature once every twenty-four period by touch. Effectiveness depends on skill and success of attempt. Does not work on self or Emendators.
Locate:
Per
The ability to form a psychic tracer to another. Once this tracer is established, the user will always be able to determine the direction and distance to that person as long as they are in range. Locate is generally only used on humans. Emendators have a permanent Locate (Emendator) on each other and others of their type.
Possession:
Will
Allows the person to enter and temporarily take over the body of someone else with just a touch. (Person being possessed has a chance to resist. Sleeping or unconscious victims have no chance of resistance.) User has complete control over the body possessed, including combat and skills said victim has when possessed. Injuries gained while possessing someone go to the victim first and then the possessor. (Items carried by the possessor become inaccessible until the possession ends.)
Psychosis:

The ability to cause a violent psychotic reaction in a victim. The victim will rant, rave, and attack everyone they meet. This skill also doubles the strength of the victim under the abilities influence. The Emendator cannot control a person they have inflicted with this madness. The psychosis will wear off eventually but there is never any knowledge of how long that will be. Could be minutes, could be hours.
Sense Acuity:

All sense, except eyesight, are hyper acute when used. Examples include being able to smell blood, feel minute scratches on a keyhole, hear someone's heartbeat.

The ability to transfer life force from one person or animal to another through physical touch. This can be done to heal wounds, cure illnesses, or even kill - all depending on the success of the skill and intent.
Speed:

The ability to increase average human speed to inhuman speeds. Success of rolls determines speed. Speed can also be used to determine Individual Initiative.
Touch Of Ice:

The ability to cause a target to experience severe cold by touch. This can range from basic chill down their spine to severe hypothermia depending on duration of contact to target and desired result.
*Watch:

This ability is three fold. The first is the ability to create time jump portals, into the past and the future. It allows groups to be placed into different time eras as well as places. The second is being able to turn time back roughly a single battle turn. The third is perfect time sense. Wherever or whenever The Watch is, he always know exactly what time it is, what day it is, what the phases of the moon are, and the places of the stars. He also knows when the next sunrise, sunset, moonrise, tide, etc. occurs.

The user can affect weather in their vicinity. (Examples include a rise or drop in temperature, a fog, downpour if clouds are present, hail in proper circumstances, etc. One type of weather at a time, cannot overlap.)

As a new skill it can heal a skinned knee, and grows stronger to heal up to severe stab wounds or broken bones over time. A long term master of the skill can heal the worst falls from a trapeze to the point the person is back up in the Big Top the next day performing as if it never happened. (Healing is a called action and rolled for by LLA to determine amount of healing)

Raips - One is able to create magic beans. These beans, when kissed and then thrown will turn any liquid surface to ice on contact. The ice will be several inches deep and spread out over the surface for a circular area up to fifty feet in diameter. If it is in the center of a larger body of water, it will create a spherical dish of ice that will withstand up to 300lbs of weight before cracking. Will melt as ice would normally in the conditions in which it was used. (Takes 3-6 hours to create a single bean and require very rare materials found only within German borders, creators are very protective of their beans.)

When used while in conjunction with another physical skill, there is a bonus to the singer and a bonded Mamushka. You may not have this skill and Mamushka. It is one or the other. Now, if the PC stops all other physical and mental actions, they may focus their Tatushka on their bonded Mamushka Dancer to give the Dancer double the bonus to their rolls. There can only be 1 bonded pair at a time to each other. A Mamushka cannot draw a bonus off a Tatushka that they are not bonded to. Bonds can change but take time and previous bond must be severed before hand.

Gramol - Bring your stories to life. This skill is multifaceted. It starts by being able to bond with a journal and quill. When these two are used together, one can draw a scene or write out a story and it come to life. (Example: Germany writes: The ceiling shook slightly before giving away and starting to fall in. What happens: The ceiling suddenly starts caving in.) Can only affect inanimate objects. The more complicated the effect, the less chance of it working and higher chance of something going horribly wrong. (Be careful what you draw, the journal is like a Genie, it is fickle and things may not work out how you intended)

It is not skill that makes a person do what you say right out but it compels them to follow through with the suggestion. (These are not the droids you are looking for) - There is always a chance they will resist it but it is very difficult. (If resisted the target turns hostile.)

You still have your possessions. Cannot carry more than 3 ounces additional weight. Lasts as long as needed or until the user is rendered unconscious. Try not to be in a small cage if you pass out in this form, waking up will be painful.

This skill covers Big Cats, Bears, and Wolves only. It involves training and controlling to a certain point. They can be taught basic commands just like dogs. Animals such as these will always be wild and have a chance to turn on their handler without notice. Here there seems to be a mental connection.

Post on SI first and hover over the stars in the top left hand corner of your post to check post length.
Once posted on RPG, edits for post length will not be accepted and you will be removed from RP if your post does not meet the minimal.
If you are running more than 1 character at once, your required paragraph total is equal to 225 Words per character.
Must IC post once every 7 days (It is your job to keep up with when you need to post. Your last post hits Day 8 and I remove you from the RP.)
If you need additional time to post you must notify the Gm by day 5 of your counter. Extensions will not be granted after that. I will try to work with you but only if you are up front, honest, and keep the lines of communication open. Collabs
Must tag the Gm in OOC to notify her that you are collabing and who are you are collabing with by day 5 of the highest counter
Collabs may not be started after your day 5 counter
If you are collabing and your partner vanishes or does not reply, you must finish the collab and post it before the timer runs out
If your collab partner vanishes you are granted temporary minimal bunnying privileges to complete the collab
If your collab partner vanishes, you need to make the Gm aware so it does not count against you
Know your personal posting limitations before applying to join - Work gives you a schedule, schools let you know when finals are coming, plan around these things
You may withdraw from the RP at any time and be put on Hiatus for an extended amount of time if your schedule becomes over whelming. You are allowed 1 Hiatus per year.
If you join other Rp's while on Hiatus you will not be admitted back to the Rp and will be considered ~kicked~
If you flake out, ghost, or are kicked from the RP the GM takes control of your character and it becomes general NPC property of the RP. The character may just be shelved, might be killed, or turned over to another Rper. (So if you are going to drop this RP, just post you are leaving to keep this from happening.)

Special Rules For Tartarean Strands
This is a Chapter RP
This Rp will be broken down into Chapters instead of ~ending~ the RP and starting over with each new part
Original OOC will be updated for each chapter
At the end of each chapter awards of new skills will be granted to those characters that ~survive~ that long
Characters must be in play a minimal of half the chapters time to be awarded new skills
Cases
Case Method will be used in this RP from time to time
Counters for Cases will begin when the WN with the case in it
Counters for Cases differ from the usual 7 day counter depending on the Case - How many days you have for a case will be posted in the case file
Cases are collab work between you, whoever else is assigned to your case and the GM - In PM for rolls and updates
Cases are a newer method and give much more control to the RPer - if you have questions ask. If this is your first time dealing with cases, do NOT worry. The GM will walk you through it
Rpers will start with their top 3 choices from the merged Rps
Characters will flip out, so be ready!
If you are bored with a character and want to switch out, let Lady A know and you can bring in any character of yours alive or dead from SR, PE, DtB, or DttS!

Don't assume just because your character is capable of something that it has been rolled for
Rolls must be requested by end of day 5 of your general counter except in the following circumstances
In a case - roll counters are done on an individual case basis.
You are on day 5 when an update comes in. You have 48 hours to get a request in then.
Once a roll is called for and I give you the results, you have 24 hours to post. (Failure to do so will result in removal from the RP.)

If she gets an idea she will be attempting to leave the scene, if not she will hold position.

Premise
What happened when the lines between times blur and begin to collapse? What happens when those fighting battles in a war far larger than they can understand collide? On Deck Characters
Some Rpers have a laundry list of characters, I know I do. So to make this a bit more interesting we also have ~On Deck~ characters. These are characters you have Rped but couldn't bring in to start because of the 3 Characters At A Time In Play Limit. Due to this a lot of awesome characters are sidelined.
Currently you may chose 1 more character to draw up and submit to have ~On Deck~. This character will be your spare character. It is ready to go, approved, and in the bullpen to be brought up when needed. When you are ready you alert the GM you want to bring in your ~On Deck~ character and which character you want to ~Switch Out~. Come the next ~Snapping~ the characters will change places. The New Character will come into play. The old character will become your ~On Deck~ character. When you are ready to switch out again, you call it for the next snapping. The ~On Deck~ will replace any of your current characters, of your choosing.

Amaranthine looked over towards Dr. Swamp and nodded. While she did not understand what was within the volumes of text she could appreciate that they did hold within their covers text. Such things were rare, even by those that could write and had wealth. Yet from the looks of them, they were far older than anything she had seen before. Even to the untrained eye they had value. To someone like Swamp, she imagined that they held a far higher value because he could understand the words on the page. To her, it would have been like finding sheet music from hundreds of years ago. To be able to play such a thing would have cause wonder to her and she herself would have been lost reading what she could and perhaps feeling what the one that had transcribed it did when they wrote it.
The woman was not sure what was going on when Dr. Swamp came near her. She was worried and it was clear on her features that she was. It was not that the man hadn't earned some level of trust from her but she wore her feelings on her sleeve and it was clear she was still on edge. Then again who wouldn't be in such a situation. People were dying left and right. Some murdered, some, perhaps not? A strange home, in the middle of a storm, after a bridge blew. Though, where the people of the house telling the truth that there was no way out or was that to just deter them leaving? It was anyone's guess at this point. So when he stepped in she braced herself.
He knew who she was? Oh this wasn't good. And then she heard something whispered against her ear. Her eyes opened wide and she looked completely confused for a moment. Her head turning and she looked at him as if to ask silently, Seriously? But she held her tongue for a moment before accepting what he had told her and nodding towards him. "I would ask if you are telling me truth but I cannot imagine anyone using such a memorable name as a cover," she finally admitted. "Then Doctor is very fitting indeed. As Chanteuse is for myself. Perhaps while our names given are not on point, the titles seem to be. I wonder what this speaks of towards the others thus far in the party?" she mused as she looked around.
A Little Light: Part 3

Hrm, nothing much to update here as no rolls where called for. Things are the same. Get a roll in chat to see if your character moves like before. Above your dex, you fail to move, below your dex you move, crit fail, pm me. Door to the west is locked. Door to the east is unlocked. The room to the east outside of the main one just south outside of Confinement have NO light what so ever as there is no window to let any in. Still no sounds at this time from what you can hear, and it is getting colder. Room to the east outside of the southern room outside of confinement though is a bit warmer than the one you are trying to leave now.
There were sounds, he could hear something so he held his ground. Titian was a man of action but that action usually had to do with either his work or women. As he wasn't on the job right then and there was no woman near by to curl up to, this left his third favorite thing to do. Eat. Hey, it was a pantry, there was food. While not hot steaming food, it was fresh. Beggars couldn't be choosers and thieves did well to keep their complaints to themselves. Finding a basket of bread that looked to have been baked that morning he pulled out a few rolls and leaned against the wall in the pantry near the door. Dagger in one hand and a roll in the other. Chewing quietly as he listened against the door. He would need to make a choice but that required thought and insight. And well we know that Titian isn't one of the great thinkers of our time.
But he could listen at least while he filled his belly. Why not? Who knew if he would ever get another meal. This could be his last and well he would much rather go out after eating something hot, slightly pink on the inside, and juicy, (A STEAK PEOPLE! HEAD OUT OF GUTTER! LOL) he was more than content with some sweet bread. Could have been worse, he had eaten worse, he didn't want to think on it. From what he could gather though from the little he could hear was that it was the kitchen staff and they were complaining about the lights being out and wondering why. They were also talking about the guests. That got his attention and he stopped mid chew. Oh, this was getting interesting. Food, warmth, and entertainment? Yeah, it could be a lot worse than it was right then.

Scotland
Gretna Green (Church): Millicent gave a curt nod towards Colette. She was glad the idea held merit and could be of use. Turning her attention back towards the beat before them she didn't have an answer for the woman. She was as much in the dark as Colette or anyone else was it seemed about this thing. She had never seen nor heard of such a thing before. It was like walking shadows and flames and it smelled only what she could think of what hell would smell like. Brimstone. Slowly she moved away from the other others. Making her way right from where stood and through the rows of pews to try to get to the outside of them and nearer to the wall. One hand on the hilt of her sword she drew it, as the other slipped between the folds of her dress to grip one of the two remaining daggers she had. Ny had attacked it with a dagger. Sure it didn't kill it but it did seem to injure it. So it could be harmed.
William would be prepared this round but to protect who? It seemed the women standing near him were more than up for the job and the last thing they needed was a man to protect them. (Yes, I went there LOL) Virginia threw her ax and it hit it's mark, tearing through one shoulder of the beast. The axe embedding in the stairs behind it. There was a gap there now where the smoke was lighter and one could see where it used to be solid. Maeve is able to tap into ancient site this church was built on. Many times Christian Church's would be built on the holy sites of old, a way to get people to convert, and it seemed that this was done here. Celtic runes glowing slightly on the ground beneath the creature, stopping it in its tracks and causing it to scream out. Ny takes the chance to throw his dagger again, again it hits, this time through a knee before it returns, hitting on the way back as well. Colette is ready, armed, and free to attack, as the creature stumbles forward through another row of pews.
Constantin is doing well keeping things from getting to or in Veta's way during this. Vlad, trying the same trick, this time on fire, manages to get things going but the tapestry doesn't look like it will hold. The knife hits in the beasts side. The stain glass window at the back of the church breaks in as a murder of crows caw and beat, flying in. Veta's hand move, directing the flock, their talons grabbing the tapestry and twisting and turning it, wrapping it around the beast. catching it up in the fire. The fire from the tapestry starts to burn black on the beast. Is the fire helping the creature? It seems to be getting bigger and its scream now rattles the rafters of the church. Constantin's Tretiy Glaz goes off, it is like he catches glimpses of the future in his mind, Foggy and through crystal, the flames shouldn't be black, they should be white. Another flash, something to do with prayer, purity. And when the flames are white, the beast is over the alter, not in the pews.

I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.
Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."[/i][/sub]
