Skills: Fredrico is a ex-military officer with all that entails, including training in guns, first aid, survival, and knives, although of course, his return to civilian life has taken some of the edge off said skills. However, his true forte is negotiation, administration, and entrepreneurship; when determined to seek out a mutually profitable deal, he bargains, wheedles, and even threatens or charms, until both parties are happy with what they have. He is also, as befitting of an officer, skilled in strategy and tactics; something that has
not gone soft due to being a civilian.

Bio: Fredrico Gomez was born to a Filipino Mestizo family, with some American blood, but found the idea of managing the family
hacienda to be tedious in the extreme. Same for the idea of entering Politics, or the Corporate World. No, he wanted to fight; he didn't care who, he wanted to feel the adrenaline that only came when fighting for a cause, whatever it was. And so, when Fredrico turned 18, he signed up for the Philippine Military, although he felt ashamed of himself for allowing his father to 'purchase' him an officer's commission. Nevertheless, despite this encounter with nepotism, Fredrico rose through the ranks naturally, scoring victory after victory against the Communist and Moro insurgencies.
Finally, in the year 2019, Fredrico was allowed to resign his officer's commission so that he can start his own PMC, or Private Military Company, staffed by veterans of the Philippines' Internal Conflicts. This Company, Sword PMC, was going to go to the Middle East, but on the day before deployment, the Gate opened, and spat out legions of enemies close to where Sword was going to Port. Without hesitation, Fredrico led his men and women, armed with assault rifles, carbines, humvees, and even Anti-Aircraft guns and drones, and counterattacked into the walled district of Intramuros, slaugthering thousands of Legionaires and Dragons and allowing the Armed Forces of the Philippines enough time to muster and conduct their own counterattack.
Because of this valiant service, Sword PMC was allowed to join GATEFORCE as 'additional security', allowing Fredrico a chance to stand up for his own country's interests in the world beyond the Gate...

Skills: Gaius Albinus Scipio is skilled in using darts, javelins, spears, swords, and shields, and also has enough endurance to wear armor for days on end; he is also good at wrestling. However he is also skilled strategist and tactician who also has a flair for the unorthodox, which in turn is combined with brutality and ruthlessness that makes him a dangerous foe. And, finally, he is a political animal who has no speciesism for nonhumans; rather, he oppresses everyone equally.
Standard Equipment: An Imperial General's armor and uniform, darts, a javelin, a sword, a shield, writing equipment, and a magic potion that heals his injuries.
Bio: Gaius Albinus Scipio was born into one of the Empire's prime families, and was destined for a military career as soon as his physical strength and quick mind became clear. Rising through the ranks in the Empire's campaigns of genocide and enslavement, Gaius saw the importance of using terrain in order to avoid and inflict casualties, as well as the need to learn from one's enemy. Eventually acquiring a household of his own, filled with slaves and treasures, the General quickly made both friends and enemies in high society, enemies that Gaius strove to get rid of at the first opportunity. Then, the 'Gods' opened the Gate, and the Empire decided to invade.
Gaius was one of the few to argue that proper scouting, reconnissance, and spycraft was needed in order to see if the lands beyond the Gate were ripe for conquest, but he was overruled by the hubris-filled leadership of Imperial Command. When the slaugther of the invasion force ensued, and the news reached Gaius, what the man felt was vindication, as well as fear. Knowing that the Empire would send a force to Alnus Hill, where the forces from the 'Other World' were creating a forward base, he managed to get a position among the local command there, but not a leading one; no, a leading position in the local command would be his' once his enemies had all been killed by the 'Other World' forces...
