Current Two days ago, Noble Arms is indisputably four years old, spread out across three threads, and the third thread is still ongoing and about to reach the endgame...

Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

I am sorry, but I need to quit this game; I had fun for seven months, but I can't take what's happened to Ashton and Flame anymore.

Edit: On second thought, I'm not quitting; I'm going to take a break until I grow out of my bad habits, then I'll come back.

Timeskip isn't for another week, right?
Ashton Andrews and Flame Brooks

A measure of hope and an even larger amount of determination returned to Ashton's heart as Od Laguna made their apperance, and his first question was, "What's the status of Hiro's Soul?"

Flame turned to Ashton, a sudden smile breaking out on his face as he noticed that some small-s spirit had come back to his boyfriend. Then to Od Laguna, he said, "So we're the spanner in the works as regards those guys and their own plans for our friends." A slight breath. "I'm not blind; we've arrived at a point where our fellowship has been shattered, the bad guys are on the verge of victory, and due to the circumstances in which the fellowship was shattered, we'd find our friends different from how we once knew them."

Ashton looked back at Flame, saying, "Meaning that because of my actions, they'd distrust us at best, while we'd have to fight them at worst." More determination returned to his eyes, even as he assessed the cost of his actions. Turning to the Angelic Figure, the boy said, "We're ready to help, but remember that I killed someone I liked and trusted because of those Witches and their game. If I have to do the same again, multiple times because of the Resets, then it'd better be worth it."

He then smiled widely, even as he was on the verge of tears. "Being a veterinarian was my dream when I returned, but now that's over. I will forever be reminded of Hiro whenever I have to mercy-kill a patient. So again, it had better be worth it."

Flame looked at Ashton as he said, "Through Grief, Hope. Where you go, I will follow. I love, you, Ashton; you don't have to be my rescuer or anyone's for me to be with you throughout this fight."

He then faced Od Laguna's Avatar, "Tell me as much as you can about these 'Witches', as well as what other support you can give other than hijacking the enemy's spells. Then after that, we're training."

Haven Base plus Red-Star Floating Supercarrrier Kuei-Ren

Once they flew or charged out of the hangar, the International Volunteers were in a position to notice that Red-Star was retreating out of the city through the Kinetic Shields; it was clear that as their first assault had failed, the enemy's vanguard was cut off from the rest of their forces for now.

"All right, people!" Theodore's voice boomed out of the comms as his large and elaborate mech; a humanoid figure in an orb surrounded by concentric rings hovered from behind them. "I'm blinking off the Kinetic Shields in five minutes! Time to coordinate!"

A countdown appeared in their cockpits' screens, although those with higher Sync would also see said countdown at the edge of their vision.

If they followed said countdown and kept going towards the Kinetic Barriers, sure enough, the latter would shut down as the countdown turned 'Zero', and a volley of Havenite Artillery shells would fire at the retreating Red-Star troopers, as well as their fleet. Said fleet, composed of numerous hovering cruisers, transports, and support craft, turned their guns and missiles at the city of Darwin...

...Only to be met with railgun fire at their flank as the Havenite Third Fleet, led by the Light NC Carrier Khalid-ibn-Walid* (one of the flagships of the Havenite People's Protection Units), zoomed in close, charging to a near-point-blank range at the enemy Flotilla's left side. Their own complement of NCs shadowed this advance, making it possible by shredding the Red-Star flotilla's heavy projectiles with their own ordnance or projecting shields that nullified their energy weapons.

As the International Volunteers reached the coast of Darwin with their Mechs, they'd find a hovering cruiser** just off the shore, firing missiles at the restored Kinetic Barriers that protected Darwin. Said cruiser was close enough for the Mechs to reach through wading, as well as the guns of their ranged weapons. But Theodore, whose NC had gotten through the barriers' area before they reactivated, had another idea.

"All right, people!" he said, "Those NCs without long-range capabilities or flight systems, board that Cruiser's deck and disable its missiles; it's large enough to use as a platform! Chelsea, please make sure that the crew fails at blowing it up or otherwise scuttling it!"

Soft Reboot - This is the New Start of the RP

Trinidad Academy - Three Days Before the Start of Semester

The center of Trinidad Academy was occupied by a garden, a garden where native flowers and trees circled a large pedestal on which stood a dark blue slab of polished stone; there, the names of Trinidad Academy's founders and its prominent alumni were set. This was the 'Founders' Monument', a symbol of the sense of optimism that had driven the establishment of the school before the realities of the Cold War and the War on Terror put paid to such dreams. Pablo Legazpi hoped that what he would do was the first step to said dreams' restoration.

"Place the hilt of your Noble Arm on the slab; I can rely on you not to damage it," said the person behind him.

The boy nodded, and summoned his blade, before pressing the pommel gently onto the monument. Then, he willed its power to life, the light blue glow revealing his own truths to him once more.

I had nothing to fear from my parents; I was still their son, no matter who I was attracted to. I were merely seeking excuses to whine, to publicly angst, to call for attention. I have a thirst for being the center of things, which is why I am allowing him to use my power for his own selfish ends.

Pablo breathed the truths of his life, not running away from his self-deceptions, his hypocrisy, and the moral weakness of his actions.

But I know this, that there is actual good that can be done! I know this, that if good is the promotion of peace, happiness, and the prevention of pain, then it's within my reach! That is a true enough reason to join that man's cause!

And with that, the truths of the Academy, the truth about the person just behind him, and the knowledge needed to pursue the good he believed in came to him. But so too did this truth: That his victory was not guaranteed, that goodness existed but can be defeated. Even with what he now knew, he might still lose.

But it was a cause worth fighting for - He at least knew that!

As the light of truth faded, Pablo respectfully turned to the person who had given him access to the monument, and gave a respectful bow.

"Director Bathala," he said in a firm voice, "What do you want to know?"

Trinidad Academy - Early Morning [6 AM]

Most of the students were still sleepy, still tired. The Filipino Students (coughPablocough) were singing their national anthem outside the classroom, leaving the foriegners alone inside. Because of this, they had a minute or so to themselves before the Filipino students returned; a minute to turn on their laptops or even exchange a few words with one another. As the sound of singing outside faded and the Filipino students returned, this minute became five as their homeroom teacher, Ellora Minnie, was called away for some reason.

Pablo Legazpi himself, a young man with unusually bright eyes and a smile that seemed out-of-place in school, sat in front of Xris and Charles, who were seated next to each other, while Cleophas, Jason, and Mason were within hearing range. The young man took advantage of this to say, "Hey, guys! My name is Pablo Legazpi, believer in heroes and the potential of Noble Arms for good. Happy to meet you all!"

As Mrs. Minnie hadn't returned yet, Pablo wasn't called out on being too loud, same for the other students who were getting louder and louder, talking to each other about topics as varied as boys, video games, and the occassional raunchy banter. This continued as it became clear to all that Mrs. Minnie wasn't coming back for a while, and various students were now playing games of chance with pen, paper, and cards.

But one other student was studying; a pale-skinned redhead whose blunt nose was the only sign of Filipino heritage. Sitting beside Pablo, this student, Carsi Cruz Maurice Tyrone, spoke to the others, "Mrs. Minnie probably got called to the Director's office; there's rumors that the Philippines' President, Grace Poe, will be coming here in order to get a tour of the Academy and give a speech."

He leaned in, coming closer to Jason and Mason as he did so, "But there are rumors that it's more than that; that the Disablers/Disarmers/Whatever are planning to stage an attack on the Academy to get rid of a pro-coexistence leader." A smile, "And I'm providing security against that."
