Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

So… when we get another person, when do you all want to start?

Maybe a few days after we get one? Three to four?
@Letter Bee For OCs related to canon characters, if there’s a player who’s using the canon character, it might be wise to ask them about if they want to have any OCs related to their canon or directly know them. Other than that, OCs that are children of canon characters and who are related to them are allowed.

@Evergreen Pine I’m going to be playing as some characters as well and there were three main roles in my last draft of a lab Roleplay which were scientists, experiments, and misc. roles such as research assistants, medical staff, and the sort. Also, I’m hoping to get around potentially at least 5 people including myself to start but the roleplay will also still remain open for a little while as well.

How 'evil' are the scientists? Are they conducting unethical experiments?
Yep! Both canon characters and OCs are permitted!

What about OCs who are related to Canon Characters or even their children?
Are OCs permitted?
Mission Two: Siege of Mischief Reef

Municipality of Lingayen - 10/11/2022, 6:08 UTC+8

Noel nodded and said, "That last part is true, Ms. Qingshe, which is why we're also bringing in a recent addition to the Government's ranks; a Special Agent who fought alongside me in the deposition of the previous President after his treachery was exposed."

To tell the truth, his feelings about that man were... confused. On the one hand, Myron seemed like a decent person; certainly of help in the foundation and consolidation of the Government of National Salvation. On the other hand, he was a former terrorist, one who had murdered Arms Masters like himself before becoming one in turn. Nevertheless, as he looked towards the back of the stage, theatrically gesturing in their newcomer, Noel would not mince words as he spoke, "Members of Task Force Obsidian, let me introduce to you Special Agent Myron Makaraig, former normal person, former normal person terrorist, and murderer of Arms Masters through backstabs, poison, and overall treachery before growing a Noble Arm himself and applying for amnesty."

As the young man, with glossy, gelled black hair, walked in, his dark blue suit and leather shoes were immaculate as he entered the stage. Seemingly unfazed, even proud of the insults that Noel had hurled towards him, Myron turned, faced the stage, and bowed towards the group for a moment before getting up and facing Qingshe, Kaitlyn, and Ayahime with a smile as he said, "Greetings. My name is Myron Makaraig, a former member of the Disablers; we claimed to stand for normal people against Arms Master supremacy, and I used my cute looks to lure Arms Masters in all protective so that they can be shot, stabbed, or even blown up - I can resume doing so at any time as long as I stay handsome."

His grin widened as he continued with relish, "Don't worry, as an Arms Master myself now, you don't have to fear that from me... Or do you?" he chuckled a little, before manifesting his own Noble Arm, a small circular shield. "This is Inpormasyon, aka Information. It converts objects and people into data and can transfer them through electronic communications like radio or the Internet. That means that if the enemy does not have a firewall or an antivirus, I can literally email you guys to their ships after your twelve hours of preparation are up."

Looking at Qingshe, then Lotus Squadron, Myron answered the question on air support for his young... friend(?) by saying, "The Philippine Air Force will be deploying its six remaining KAI-T50 - FA-50PH Variants - to aid Lotus Squadron, while Indonesia will be sending out the same number of Dassault Rafale jets. I know it's inadequate, but with all due respect - We're the underdogs here; we lack equipment and despite the fallout from the Crisis of 1988, China has spent a lot of resources lulling us to sleep and our military doctrine was oriented towards fighting... Internal enemies."

Noel decided to pop Myron's bubble with a well-pointed remark, "Yes, yes, we know you were there when the Hammer and Disablers were using our country as their sandbox for developing terrorist tactics. Moving on..." He responded directly to Qingshe, "We know that the Chinese know and we anticipate treachery en route to the ship and on the ship itself. That's why we gave Myron an amnesty; he's at least a countryman and he knows how skullduggery works."

Qingshe then received a message from a secure channel; it was 'His Imperial Majesty', Jin Li of the House of Aisin Goro, aka the Qing Dynasty's clan. It said, We've established an internet connection to the outside. The window is 25 - 30 minutes. Has Myron introduced himself already? If so, suggest to our allies that they should go to where we are right now; make the idea sound like your own.

Myron has already packed the supplies we need.

Noel then looked at Callie and finally gave a response to her words, "Approved. I suggest Volunteers Makri and Dorn, or possibly Nil, but we may need the latter to defend either the ship or Mischief Reef. I can also go myself if we really need someone who can bring on the pain..."

Looking at Princess Fukuyo of Japan, the young man said, "I can also form a team with you, if needed; you performed well against Huo Ren."

Then he turned to acknowledge Second Lieutenant Larsdottir and said, "Indeed, we should talk in private - I'm sure that you and I would fare better without the company of our... Amnestied friend. That, and I am under the impression that the enemy has probably guessed the bare outlines of our plan, even if their Intelligence Services weren't up to snuff - Which they are. So it would be best if only the two of us - And maybe Qingshe - know what contingencies to set up."

That said, he did have to give away some facts about 'Valkyrie', just to assuage Lotus Squadron and how they're only getting 12 extra Jets as their support, and so he told them, "Second Lieutenant Larsdottir also doubles as an aerial asset, one optimized for reconnaissance and interception. She can keep up with a dedicated aircraft at speed, and her smaller profile means that she can get into areas that larger objects can't. Not just that, but her affable and friendly personality allows her to work with almost anyone - I think you'll all like her."

As for Myron, he was looking at Callie with what seemed like shock, and an adept enough observer could see that his hands were trembling. He was not paying attention to Second Lieutenant Larsdottir right now, due to his focus on the blonde. Then the young man tore his gaze away from Callie and towards a newcomer - Iker Orozco, right? - before saying to him, "Volunteer Orozco. I will need your help in arranging contingencies as well."

If you can swallow working with a former terrorist and war criminal.

Then Noel answered Nico's question, "Honestly, it would probably be evening, yes, unless there is a way to hurry up the engagement. Note that it is perfectly plausible the relief mission can take place over multiple days, so we'll need both of your Noble Arms' modes."

As for what Nico said next, Noel visibly cringed and said, "Listen, we know when we can afford to be loose-lipped with valuable information and when we can't. With all due respect, I don't think you know the same - What happens if I order you to accept the Seven Virtues' offer? I'm not going to do so, but have you ever thought what would happen if I was the sort of person to do that?! And please don't reveal the name of the one who invented the Occult Programming Language, which is the source of Noble Arms and other forms of Magitech, to us all - Not that it isn't too late now!"

He sighed, "Change of plans. Myron, convert as many of us as you can into data - We're going to the Spratlys now before any spies realize they got a larger windfall than they already expected to have..."

Name: Raven Rivers
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Height: 5'8
Weight: 70kg

Motto: "For a better future."

Appearance: Raven looks younger than he actually is, but not so young that he can be accused of lying about being 30. Black-haired, black-eyed, and clearly well-muscled, Raven looks every bit the soldier, especially in his uniform, but can fit a number of other roles if needed, although his body language clearly shows the marks of a military career. And finally, Raven conciously attempts to look 'sharp' and perceptive, even when he actually isn't, which comes off as hiding that he does not know what he is doing...

Equipment:

- NCR Service Rifle.
- 10mm Pistol.
- Hunting Rifle with Scope.
- Trooper Armor.
- Switchblade.
- 2x Stimpak
- 1x Rad-X
- 1x RadAway
- NCR Dogtags.

Past/Current Affiliations: New California Republic, Slaves (Legion, then The Regime's New Vegas), New California Republic (again).

Likes: The prospect of a new family once this is all over, Rescuing People, and Solving Problems with a mix of diplomacy and brute force.

Dislikes: The Courier and Yes Man, Being reminded of his ten years in slavery, and the Legion Remnants.

Key Character Traits: An unusually handsome man who appeals to both men and women, with experience in endurance and survival, but very unlucky, such that he cannot be trusted to handle anything that depends on random chance, like gambling.

Background: Raven was born in a small farming village close to Shady Sands, and had a formal education from the local branch of the Followers of the Apocalypse. His life was uneventful until he signed up with the NCR Army at the age of 16, aiding them in counterattacks against raiders. Two years of moderate combat experience later, he was sent to the Mojave, then to the NCR outposts in Arizona a few years before the Battle of the Arizona Spillway, one of two battles where the returning Legion attacked the NCR and forced it back across the Colorado River. Everything seemed safe at that time, though, as it was assumed that it would that some time for the Legion to return.

Then the local commander ordered a reconnisance mission further east, to investigate rumors that the Legion were indeed coming back. These rumors were accurate, and the then-18yo and his squad found themselves ambushed and overwhelmed by a larger group of Legionnaires. As this was before the Legion campaign proper was to begin, it was believed that crucifying him and the other survivor of his squad, Timothy, would not have any effect on NCR morale and so it was decided that it would be 'merciful' to enslave them instead. And so they were sent to Flagstaff itself, where he and Tim were put to work digging irrigation canals, mining ores, and eventually being put to work building walls for Caesar's 'Capital'.

There, he and Timothy fell in love; a dangerous thing as Caesar's Legion was against homosexuality. Nevertheless, he and the other man managed to sneak in a few moments, until the latter was suddenly crushed by a large stone during construction work. No time was allowed for him to grieve, as he was put back to work a few months before Caesar began his campaign to take the Mojave... And it was ordered that he be brought along, to see the 'Fall of the NCR'.

The NCR didn't fall, but the Legion didn't win either; in the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the Courier fell to the temptation of power and had Yes Man give him control of the Securiton Army, and the Legion were defeated and broken... But that merely meant a transfer of ownership, with Raven, now 24, being nursed back to health only so he can be used as a slave in New Vegas itself, where he served a variety of duties, including a stint at Gommorah where he was barely able to avoid getting 'hooked' on drugs before being transfered to an arena where in emulation of he defeated Legion, the Courier held prize fights.

It took ten tournaments - Not ten fights, ten tournaments, before he won his freedom, and even then he had to escape New Vegas and go back to the Mojave Wasteland to avoid being re-enslaved or killed once it was clear that he was coming back to NCR and NCR service.

He was half-starving when he returned to NCR territory, and many people didn't believe his story until it was corroborated by his surviving family and superior officers. Now, however, he has recovered and is ready to return to take revenge!

The Fastest Gun in Uvera

Ken carefully sidestepped the burning javelin, shot the left shin of someone who tried to stab him from the side, then took the resulting energy shield crystal from the Geo Generator before the eighteen-year-old noticed a flash of orange in the arena stands and snarled - The Aldugan Spines were there. On the one hand, it meant that there might be a disturbance and a chance of escape. On the other hand, the boy hated those slavers for trading in Uverans (and the occasional Waltonian).

He ducked another flaming Javelin and noticed that his shield/barrier was running out due to him taking a moment to think. In response, he shot close to the ear of the Pyro user, hoping to clip the man's earlobe and bust his eardrum. Then he shot the hand of a man picking up an energy shield crystal and swiped the gem for himself, allowing him more time to spend thinking and strategizing; he was not bad at that and tactics, just admittedly prone to overestimating his capabilities.

Right now, he had to buy time; as more people swooped in on his position, ignoring the evidence that the eighteen-year-old gunslinger was not an easy target, Ken shifted positions, rolling a short distance away before shooting at an opponent's left shoulder, and barely avoiding a knife that barely swooshed past his hair and the energy barrier that covered it.

"Easy pickings," he couldn't help but quip as he stuck close to the Geo Generators, glancing at Takemura and Fiske's fight - Those two seemed to be having a focused duel; best not to bother them. No, rather, Ken should stick to a strategy of shooting, shifting positions, and grabbing energy shields, including from areas where the two duelists had just passed by.

Letting himself be pushed towards the edge of the arena, where hopefully someone threw a rotten fruit pip/seed, the young man's barrier finally ran out even as he picked up what seemed to be a half-eaten plum, which he charged with a surge of power from his vision crystal and threw high in the air as he held his breath; the plum exploded into a spray of sleeping gas, sleeping gas picked up by the desert breeze and scattered all over the area, though the amount was such that those who breathed it in would only feel a little drowsy, enough to slow down their reflexes and reactions, allowing Ken to shoot a few more opponents before the amount of tranquilizing gas lightened to the point where he can breathe again.

By now, he should have thinned out the number of gladiators, even as he sighted something flying in the air, approaching the arena... A bird?

@Teyao, @Renose
@QJT, Oh, right; we approved on Discord, but can you please put the picture under the 'Appearance'? It looks more professional that way.
@Sniblet, Approval One given.
